  Bloody Rendezvous

  'One Eye Jack' is back

Mountain man One Eyed Jack and his partner Rawhide are in town to sell their season's catch of furs when they are approached by a mysterious woman. She's looking for her missing brother, John York. The death of the York family patriarch leaves John as the new heir of York Whiskey company. The young woman is desperate to find the missing man, and return him to the responsibility of their thriving family business. She urges Jack to help track the man down. Finding the missing man him means leaving the comforts of town and returning to the mountains.

With winter setting in and looking long and heavy, Jack isn't looking forward to the task. It's hard to locate anyone in the wild and now frigid territory of the Rockies, let alone someone who might not want to be found. Before the task is finished both hunter and hunted will battle bitter cold nights and vicious Indian attacks.

Come Spring, Jack and the other men make way for the first Fur Rendezvous in Wyoming. When they arrive at the Henry's Fork River, the men find a rollicking rowdy party where the whiskey flows freely. It's an event sure to tickle the fancy of any trapper, each of them eager for human company and a little excitement after the long winter. But when a wrestling match turns deadly, it starts a chain of events that will test the mettle of John York and his fellow mountain men. It's going to be a bloody rendezvous indeed.

More mountain man action than you can shake a stick at from Western writer W.R. Benton, a master of the genre and favorite of fans for years.

  Damascus Steel

Announcing a new Mountain Man saga featuring reader favorite, Nate Grisham. The War of 1812 is over, but tensions between England and the U.S. simmer. Political intrigues and divided loyalties lurk within the dark corners of America's capital. Barnshill, an English-born spy for the U.S. has plans for bright political future, and fierce White House aspirations.

But those ambitions bring him in conflict with wealthy and powerful enemies. Men that aim to destroy Barnshill at any cost. When his opposition hires assassins, Barnshill flees to the western frontier as an 'agent' of the American Fur Company. Not an ideal cover, but perhaps his only chance to disappear, at least for long enough to set in his political plans in motion.

With killers on his trail, he is lucky to befriend some turn mountain men, men with integrity and grit; Blade Williams, One-Eyed Jack, Nate Grisham, as well as braves Fire Eyes and Eagle. With the help of these stalwart heroes, Barnshill stakes his survival on their backwoods knowledge and unwavering loyalty.

Deception, gun smoke, and ambushes galore set this story ablaze with unrestrained, brutal Plains action. Another page-turning winner from author WR Benton.
