“Yes.” Michel took one coffee out of the carrier and set it in front of Jude. “I have a couple of patients I would like to check on a little later, but yes, I am pretty much free the rest of the day.” He took the lid off the second cup and fragrant steam rose off the top. “What do you have planned?”

“Well, I see coffee in my immediate future.” He dipped a biscotti into his coffee and let it soften a moment. “And I just started seeing this incredibly sexy Frenchman yesterday. I’m kind of hoping he’ll let me suck his cock sometime today.” He bit off the drenched end of the delicious cookie, fully aware the incredibly sexy Frenchman’s blue eyes were on his mouth.

“You think there’s a chance he would say no?” he asked, playfully curious.

Jude shrugged. “It’s kind of a new thing. He could surprise me.”

Michel nodded and made a thoughtful sound. He leaned against the counter with the sink at his back and sipped his coffee. “If it was me and my new boyfriend had a gorgeous mouth like yours I would never turn down a blowjob.”

Jude struggled not to smile. “Never?”

“Maybe if I was sick.” He narrowed his eyes as he seemed to reconsider his answer, shook his head. “No, I would have to be on my deathbed before I would refuse that kind of offer.”

Jude put the end of his biscotti into his coffee. “I accepted the job with my father.”

He took the bite and glanced at Michel, who was looking at him intently.

“What about your dreams of being a rock star?”

“I followed that dream.” He turned to put the coffee and biscotti down. “It’s time for a new dream. My father is a good man and a highly respected doctor. No matter how much I resisted in the past, working for the family practice is inevitable.”

Michel turned so he was leaning on one hip facing Jude.

With his rapidly beating heart lodged in his throat Jude added, “And then there’s the matter of the sexy Frenchman. I wouldn’t dare ask him to wait for me if I left and I wouldn’t expect him to still be single when I came back.”

“But he would be waiting,” he said without hesitation. He put his coffee aside. “Because he has been waiting for his chance to be with you for a very long time. He would never expect you to put your dreams aside for him any more than he would put you aside for following them.”

“And you’re sure of this after one weekend together?”

Michel’s face lit up with the most gorgeous smile.

“I was sure after one hour at dinner the other night.”

A calm like nothing Jude had ever felt settled deep, leaving him with a sense of peace that was absolutely glorious. In that moment he knew without a single doubt that everything that had happened to him in the recent past had been leading up to that very moment, starting with his decision to leave Petra what felt like a lifetime ago.

“Do you want to hear about my new dream?” Jude asked, starting to slowly unwind the scarf Michel was still wearing.

“But of course,” Michel said quietly, his hands coming to rest on Jude’s hips.

“I have a dream of a lot more dinners and a lot more mornings filled with coffee and baked goods.” He pulled so the end of the long scarf brushed across Michel’s neck before it fell free. Jude laid it on the counter. “I see a lot of your cock in my future—in my mouth, my ass, wherever.”

Michel groaned deeply when Jude kissed his neck, still warm from the scarf.

“I see you in my future,” he said against his skin. He lifted his head and looked into eyes that were already dark with arousal. “Let’s go to bed and work on falling in love.”

Something changed almost imperceptibly in Michel’s eyes. He cupped one hand around the back of Jude’s neck and his thumb brushed over his cheek.

“One of us might have already fallen,” he said with a playful smile.

Jude’s stomach dipped with the thrill of his admission. He wrapped his arms tighter around Michel’s waist and drew close. Any doubt he’d had that Michel was out of his league or only interested in some kind of fling was long gone. This man, this gorgeous, sexy, successful, intelligent man, was all his, no question about it.

“Then get ready to catch me, Michel, because here I come.”
