Darlings and Disorder for the Dom

When longtime lovers and submissives, Bliss McKay and Clarissa Wakefield, ask for more from Colt Redford, his uncharacteristic uncertainty nearly costs him everything he holds dear. They want a husband and a man to father their children. Though he decides he can give them those things, there is still one thing holding him back. How can he commit to them and be true to who he is?

Bliss and Clarissa know that Colt needs more than they can give him, even as they are asking for marriage and a family. With this knowledge they search for the right person suited to their needs, someone who can bring something special to their relationship. That person is Gilliam Southerland, a chef at the Silver Star Hotel.

What none of them expect is the sensual treasure in the form of Avery Crandall, a man so desirable, so perfect, none of them can resist him. Can the five of them find love together?

  Chapter One

Colt Redford had three photographs on the desk in his realty office. One was of his mother, a woman whose absence from his life left him aching. The second was of his father, the man who had helped shape him into the man he was today. The third photo was of two women who meant everything to him.

A man very used to order and control, Colt was suffering from a very bad case of confusion and helplessness. Bliss and Clarissa had been a part of his life for several years now. They had been his submissives and the three of them had enjoyed a very satisfying D/s relationship.

It had gone on far longer than he had intended and he had certainly never expected to fall in love with the two women. The fact that he loved them very deeply wasn’t the problem. It was what he should do about it.

While Colt had been happy to let their relationship continue on with few if any changes, Bliss and Clarissa had come to a point in their lives where they wanted more for themselves and for him. They wanted marriage and babies and the very idea of it scared the hell out of him.

He was embarrassed to admit it even to himself, but he had never given any thought to being a husband and a father. Somehow that concept had never entered his head for consideration. He didn’t want to lose the two women, and would marry them without hesitation. It was the fatherhood part that was leaving him feeling helpless. What kind of father would he be? His father had been a very stern man, but loving in his own way. His mother had added softness and an open heart, giving him his ability to feel compassion toward others.

Growing up as the child of wealthy parents had had its perks. Colt had never wanted for anything. He knew the very best of everything from the beginning, from the socks he wore to the university he attended. His parents had pushed him to find himself, rather than simply being an extension of them. Years away from home had done what it was meant to. As he learned about the world he had learned about himself and what he wanted. He never lacked confidence, had never felt it waver.

Until now, that is. What the fuck was he going to do? Colt asked himself as he rubbed his hands over his face in a weary gesture. He could marry them. Being their husband was something he would never regret. He loved them so much that this disharmony between them was a physical pain. But what if he married them and he found he couldn’t give them the children they wanted? They would never forgive him for that.

No, he had to be certain he made the right choice. The fact that they had been waiting months for a decision and the looming, unnamed deadline were now adding pressure. He owed them a decision before it was too late, before he couldn’t go back and make it right, before he
lost them forever.

That very thought chilled Colt to the bone. He couldn’t lose them. So why couldn’t he just accept the fact that he would give them children and be done with it? Everyone would be happy. He would have them and they would have the babies they desired so much. Still, something was holding him back and it just wasn’t wedding rings and babies.

When his office assistant buzzed him Colt took a deep breath and expelled it slowly, allowing some of his tension to drain away. “Yes, Ms. Jersey?” he asked as he pulled out his planner and opened it. He reached for the pen and began making entries as he waited for the woman to respond. Some days she just irritated him beyond belief. “Ms. Jersey, please speak.”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Redford. Perhaps you could step out for a moment?” The woman’s voice sounded strained. For being such a stern woman most of the time, it always amazed him how flustered she could get by the simplest things. “Please?”

Colt’s eyebrows lifted at that. He hung up the phone and rose from the black leather executive chair to walk around the desk and toward the door. When it swung back he saw what was in the room beyond, where the agents’ desks were situated, he stared in shock at the most gorgeous Friesian stallion standing there in the aisle between the desks. The animal tossed its head and snorted. The hardware on his halter jingled. The man holding the stallion gave Colt a look which was rather helpless. Yes, he knew that look. He knew the cause, too.

“Mr. Redford, a card came with the horse,” Ms. Jersey said faintly, her voice thin.

God, he hoped the woman didn’t faint. He didn’t really want to deal with it.

“Of course. I would not have expected anything less.”

Taking the card she held out to him he opened the heavy vellum envelope and withdrew the card. Opening it, a smile pulled at the corner of his mouth.

  Dearest Love,

We believe our gift to you deserves a proper thank you.

  Love,

  Bliss and Clarissa

Colt’s cock twitched as he slid the card back into the envelope. He chuckled, thinking of the joke and what a proper thank you for it would be.

He looked at the cowboy holding the horse. “Take him out to my ranch and see to it he’s settled in nicely.”

The cowboy chuckled and nodded. “Right away, sir. Damned good joke. Those beautiful ladies paid me two hundred dollars to bring him in. The guy who brought him refused to do it. Glad to see you took it so good. They said you would.”

“I will give you another two hundred to see to it that he’s taken to the ranch and settled in.”

The man nodded before he began backing the horse toward the door. “Sure thing, Mr. Redford. I’m between jobs right now. I could use a few extra bucks.”

He had known this and thought it was a good way to help the guy out without insulting him. A man’s pride was often a very delicate thing.

One of his realtors hurried to the door, pulling it open as the cowboy skillfully backed the stallion through it and down the one step to the sidewalk. As soon as he was gone he went back to his office and poured a measure of Scotch in a glass before carrying it out to his assistant.

“Drink this, Ms. Jersey. It will help settle your nerves.” His eyes nearly bugged out of his head when she tossed it back like an old sailor. “Now, I want you to call Bambi and have her take my afternoon appointments. I have some personal business to attend to.”

When one of the men seated nearby snickered and winked at Colt in a knowing manner, he frowned severely. “You may also take the afternoon off, Mr. Michaels. Consider it your only warning about making any comment upon my personal life.” The man paled, realizing too late he had crossed the line.

Returning to his office he cleared his desk and pocketed his cell phone. He locked the door as he left. There were few secrets in Silver. He doubted there were many who didn’t know about his relationship with Clarissa and Bliss, as well as the male subs he would occasionally bring to his bed. Though he wasn’t keeping secrets, he abhorred gossip and examples of pure tasteless behavior. It was somewhat different if it was a friend and they were sharing a joke. But he was not friends with the man and shared nothing personal with him.

As he drove through town Colt thought about what kind of “thank you” he should give his darling imps for the beautiful gift. He knew what they wanted, but he wasn’t certain he should oblige. When they had expressed their desire for a more permanent relationship, they had mutually ended their relationship.

They had wanted to be free to date other men. When that hadn’t worked, both women confessing that they didn’t want anyone but him, they had agreed to date, to really get to know each other without sex distracting them. It would also give him a chance to think about marriage and children. Colt couldn’t remember the last time he had gone without sex for more than a few days. It would only cloud the issue, they had told him. He had reluctantly said he understood. And he did. But he just wasn’t happy having to live the life of a monk.

The dating had been enjoyable thus far, but he didn’t actually see the point in it. Maybe that was a man thing. They had always gone out to supper or movies. They went horseback riding and fishing regularly and went on trips several times a year. Though he hadn’t intended that it be so, they had essentially been living a married life since the beginning. Most of the time it was a very erotic life. They were perfectly matched in their desires to explore the darker pleasures of the sexual world.

After parking his car in front of the jewelry store Colt got out and went inside. The corner of his mouth twitched with amusement. He knew his beautiful little brats expected something far different from him for having the horse brought into his office. That was exactly why he would gift for gift. He would torment them simply by not following through as he had in the past, which would have been a spanking at the very least.

There would be pouting. There would be outrage. His sweet little brats would try to twist him around their delicate fingers, using soft voices, silken promises, and tantalizing caresses to try to make him fulfill their demands. Just the thought of it made his cock press against his zipper and Colt was relieved he was wearing the heavy black winter coat. It was long, almost duster-length, which he preferred when the wind off the mountains was as cutting as it was that day.

Colt’s eyes moved over the selection of jewelry silently offered to him. The corner of his mouth twitched as he reached out to stroke the tip of his index finger over the curve of a pair of gold handcuffs embedded with diamonds. They would be perfect for Bliss. The only thing she enjoyed more than being tied up was jewelry. His cock twitched again.

His gaze then went over the rest of the selection, another smile pulling at his mouth as he admired a pair of nipple clamps for Clarissa. They, too, were encrusted with diamonds and had weighted pendants attached. Very nice.

After paying for the jewelry, both now enclosed in sleek black boxes and tied with a red bows, he tucked them in his coat pocket and left the store. As the frigid air whipped around him Colt turned up the collar of his coat. He loved Silver in all the seasons she wore like a beautiful matron. Though it was only early November, there was already an impressive amount of snow on the ground and the temperature seemed to grow colder with each passing day. All thoughts of warm weather were gone and wouldn’t resurface until far into May.

Walking down the sidewalk he smiled and nodded to others along his path. There were few people in town he didn’t know. Even many of the visitors were known to him, since he was the one who found places for them to stay while they were in the area for the fantastic skiing. Most of those he greeted had been returning year after year, thoroughly devoted to the sport and the pure enjoyment it offered.

Walking down a side street he soon found himself on the doorstep of Totally Discreet. He pressed the button and waited for the door to be answered. The handsome young co-owner of the store smiled, met his eyes briefly, and then stepped back.

  “Sir,” he murmured softly.

“How are you, Daniel?”

“I’m doing very well, Sir. What are your needs today?”

Colt’s cock twitched. It would be so simple to accept the invitation the handsome man was offering. Time was not on his side, however. He needed to get home to tease two very naughty brats.

“I find I’m in need of a new flogger.”

Daniel hurried behind the long counter where the most expensive and higher quality items were located. He slid the glass door back and brought out a tray covered in deep red velvet. The black leather floggers were displayed to perfection. Thinking about Clarissa, he stroked his fingers over each and every one of them before he chose one. He picked it up, his fingers wrapping around the grip.

“This one,” Colt said, handing it over to the other man. As Daniel went about silently placing the flogger in a box lined with shiny red paper, he asked carefully, “Who’s taking care of you, Daniel?”

Beautiful brown eyes flickered upward in surprise for a moment. The tip of a tongue flickered out to wet plump lips. His cock twitched again. “No one, Sir. Jessica used to, but her heart isn’t in it any longer.”

“Would you like me to find the right person for you?”

There was a long, tense moment before Daniel answered without looking at him. “If you could, Sir.”

As tempted as he was to care for the man himself, Colt fought that particular demon. He was supposed to be contemplating a future with Bliss and Clarissa. Being bisexual had been freeing, until now. Exploring and exploiting both sides of his sexual being had always been done with ease.
