“Who?”
A rugged man in armor appeared as Becky’s arm snaked around Alise’s bare hip and Becky pulled her against her body. “Welcome, Sir Richard,” she said with a purr.
The man blinked, stared and Alise noticed the growing bulge in his trousers, straining against the metal links that girded his chest and waist.
“Bless me Heavenly Father for the gift I am about to receive,” he breathed and looked skyward in supplication.
Chapter Five
“What’s this all about?” Alise asked. Her voice squeaked as Becky’s hand stroked her thigh. A small jolt of uneasy pleasure ran up Alise’s spine at Becky‘s touch. “I thought we were going to lay a trap?”
“We are,” Becky said, her voice growing huskier. “But we have time for that.”
“Lady Rebecca,” Sir Richard said. “How may I serve you?”
“This is Lady Alise. She has never had the pleasure of the company of a man.”
“Ah,” the knight said through metal as he pulled his armor over his head. The mail was quickly discarded as was his tunic. “And is this something you desire, Lady Alise?”
She was about to squeak out a denial but, as her eyes roamed from his shoulder length hair, rugged features, and down to his muscular chest, it died in her throat. That curious heat began to build down in her belly. Get control of yourself! Alise mentally berated herself. You were the one who wanted to understand this! Don’t become a coward now!
Alise nodded and Richard undid his sword belt, allowing it to hit the floor.
Her insides did a flip-flop as he bent over to remove his boots and smiled at her. A smile that promised her he understood.
Becky pressed her body against Alise’s back and gently ran her fingernails down Alise’s stomach. “Richard is a good man,” she breathed into Alise’s ear. “He was my first.”
“First what?” Alise asked, her voice trembling.
Richard’s trousers dropped and, if Becky replied to her question, she didn’t hear it. Helbert was...lacking in comparison.
The knight stepped forward and cupped her face in his hands, his body pressing against her, his...what did Becky call it?... cock burning against her belly. Her body responded as she gasped. His lips met hers.
Alise never understood the importance Becky seemed to place on pressing lips together. She understood now. Her knees felt weak and, if it had not been for being pressed between two unclothed bodies, she felt certain she would have melted into a puddle. Alise realized that her eyes had closed. She opened them to Richard’s deep blue eyes, eyes that seemed to peer into her soul. Her heart thudded in her chest and the heat turned liquid.
Becky’s breath tickled her ear before she gently run her teeth along her pointed lobe. The sensation drew a moan out of her overworked and confused body. Her intentions to coolly analyze this experience evaporated like her control.
Richard’s mouth engulfed hers again and she felt his hands softly caressing her breasts and then his fingers closing around her nipples. A lightning bolt of arousal struck her as he gently twisted them. She nearly screamed, a strangled groan escaping between her clenched teeth.
“I trust I’m not hurting you, m’lady,” he said, his husky voice, tinged with concern, cut briefly through the haze in her head.
“Don’t stop.” The words coming unbidden to her lips.
“I could not even should I wish it so,” he said. Her hands reached up and pulled him down into another of those lip presses she was quickly learning to love. Her boldness surprised her but he seemed to enjoy it. “You are so beautiful,” he murmured.
Something was going on with her chest, a strange longing. Alise had given up on trying to understand and allowed herself to be swept along.
The three of them tumbled backwards onto Becky’s bed and Richard lowered himself against her, a hardness settling against the moistness between her legs. “Prepare yourself,” he said, a trace of a growl in his voice that she found exciting. “I am going to deflower you.”
“You’re going to wha—?”
Her mouth flew open, but no sound came out as Richard buried himself inside her. Her body clenching around the burning brand invading her, filling her. It was... amazing. Her world exploded. He pulled back and it blew apart into a million more fragments.
Alise wrapped her legs around him, trapping him inside her. Richard stilled above her as if he sensed her desire to savor his intrusion. Her hands traveled up his bulging forearms and over his biceps. A sigh escaped her lips and her legs loosened their grip. Richard slowly ground his hips, taking pleasure from the soft noises of pleasure that sprang unbidden from her throat.
Richard lowered himself on top of her. “M’lady,” he murmured and kissed her. His lips pressed against hers muffled her cry as he thrust into her. Alise’s hands grabbed his rear. A moan ripped from her mouth as Richard’s motion set her body on fire. Any intention she may have had to analyze the experience was forgotten.
A moan near her drew her attention. Becky had her fingers inserted inside herself. Her hips bucked feebly as if in impotent imitation of Richard and Alise’s own lovemaking.
“Don’t worry, m’lady. I haven’t forgotten about you,” Richard said with a low growl. “Your time is coming, after I make your friend scream.”
His eyes turned back on Alise and seemed to bore into her. “Now, Lady Alise, I’m going to ride you, hard and fast.” His words held both menace and promise, and a flutter ran through her and pooled between her legs.
His... cock... slammed into her.
“Oh... shit!” she cried out, her back arching off the bed. In this case, Becky’s language seemed appropriate.
Alise shut her eyes and let herself be swept away by the pleasure surging through her body, only mindful of a hard ball of pressure that was building in her belly.
Her legs trembled, her body shook and a scream erupted as she surrendered herself to absolute bliss. Alise vaguely heard Richard match her cry but she wasn’t sure of what was real and what was not, she existed on a cloud of pure satisfaction.
When her body finally crashed back down to reality, Richard was dozing, his arm protectively draped across her stomach. She glanced over at Becky who was smiling at her.
“Is it like that all the time?” Alise managed to croak.
“Oh, yes. Sometimes better.”
“I don’t think I can take ‘better.’”
Becky smiled at her. “For the first time, I’d say you did great.”
“So that was sex?”
“No. That was super hot sex.”
“If it is this good all the time, why Santa? Why didn’t you keep Richard?” Alise asked.
“Ah,” Becky said and a sadness seemed to creep into her eyes. “That’s a story.”
Alise nodded at Richard’s arm. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Becky sighed. “Like I said, Richard is a good man, an honorable man. He took my cherry.”
“What?”
“Oh. Sorry. My virginity. He took it.”
Alise shook her head.
“Elves apparently don’t have it.” Becky said. “You can consider that a blessing. It hurts the first time you have sex. Anyway, I was young and made the mistake of falling in love with him.”
“What’s love?”
“You’ve gotta be kidding me, right?” Becky said.
Alise stared at her.
“Love is what two people feel for each other. Like when you can’t imagine ever being apart from them. That somehow the two of you make a better whole than apart.”
Alise wondered about the feeling in her chest that was still there, the feeling that she never wanted Richard to let go of her.
“I think Richard loved me too,”
Becky continued, her voice growing soft, “but I can’t keep people around for long. It’s hard to build any kind of relationship with someone who disappears when the clock runs out.” Alise heard the wistful tone in Becky’s voice and she thought she felt Richard move against her.
“So I realized that I would just have to take my fun wherever and with whoever I could get it from. It wasn’t until Kris that I found someone who I could go to instead of bringing him to me. I’m not proud of it, Alise, I loved Richard dearly but I didn’t want to hurt him.” Becky sniffed and Alise could see tears forming in her eyes. “I couldn’t disappoint him because he needed more than I could give him.”
Alise put her hand over Richard’s and felt it tremble.
“I’m going to go make us something to eat,” Becky said hurriedly and fled the bedroom before Alise could ask her anything else.
A pained look was on Richard’s face when Alise rolled over to face him. She reached out and touched his cheek. “I’m sorry,” she said and it sounded so insignificant.
He shook his head. “No,” he said. “I always wondered if she loved me. I offered my body to her hoping that she would tell me. I didn’t realize—”
“For all her power, Richard, she was trying to not hurt you.”
Richard sighed. “I want to think that we could have come to some arrangement but I was young and arrogant. I would have left her for the first ample bosom that came along. I take no pride in that. Love is a game for the young.”
Alise hated the pain on his face. She leaned into him and placed her lips against his. “I don’t know what love is but I’d like to find out,” she murmured. “I would trust you.”
He responded to her touch. “Ah, but I would hurt you as well, m’lady. Don’t trust your heart to one as undeserving as myself.”
“You can come with me,” she said as a thought took her. “Neither of us can stay here but you can come with me, stay with me.”
“I have a duty to my king.”
“We can have Beck...uh...Lady Rebecca make another door to your home.”
“What are you on about?” he asked.
“She can make a door that connects your home to mine. She made one between here and the workshop.”
“Why did she never offer to do this for me?”
“She only recently found that she could.”
“Richard, I would have, had I known before I met Kris,” Becky said from the doorway, her eyes still glistening. “I want you to be happy, nothing would please me more. Give Alise a chance, if only for me.”
Richard got out of bed and walked over to the door. Despite the gravity of the situation Alise had trouble keeping her eyes away from the knight’s rear but she could see Becky stiffen at his approach. He dropped to a knee in front of her.
“Lady Rebecca, I beg your forgiveness. I...I thought you had not a care for me. I was mistaken and a fool.”
Becky knelt before him and placed her hands on either side of his face.
“You are never a fool for following your heart,” Alise heard Becky say into his ear. “But you will be one if you ignore the woman who, if I am not mistaken, is very taken with you...or at least a certain part of you.”
“Are you implying that she values my sword above all else?”
“I’m implying she values where you sheath it.”
“Very well,” Richard said with a laugh that sent shivers down Alise’s back, “then we shall move past mere swordplay and on to thrusting in earnest.”
“I thought he’d never get tired,” Alise groaned and stared at Becky over their knight’s sleeping form.
Becky returned her look, her hair disheveled. “That’s one of his charms but he was in fine form this evening. I think having two women did it. God only knows what kind of tales will be told in taverns after this.”
“Not that I haven’t enjoyed it but surely you conjured up Richard for more than this?” Alise questioned.
“I did,” Becky answered. “Whoever hid your magic-detector is sure to come back for it and they could be upset to find it gone. I wanted someone who could protect us if we needed it.”
“By having sex with him until he fell asleep?”
“Yes, well, things kind of got out of hand. No regrets. You?”
“Oh, goodness, no,” Alise purred. “I could get used to that but do you think we’ll need protection?”
“I hope not. I hope they just get discouraged when they can’t find it and go away.”
“That doesn’t sound likely. Why one man though? Couldn’t you think up an army?”
“It doesn’t work that way. I can only make one at a time.”
“So how can I be here?”
“You came over from the workshop. I didn’t bring you in.”
“Oh. I guess that makes sense. Does that mean I’ll disappear?”
“I’m not sure. I guess? I’ve never tested it.”
A crash from the living room shocked both of them into silence.
Chapter Six
The blue and gold bodysuit looked garish under the sudden light of the ceiling fan after Becky flipped the switch. DVDs lay everywhere and the remains of the shelf sat crumpled on the floor after being shattered by a blow. Captain Superior whirled, his baleful glare boring into both of them. “Where is it you stupid cow?” he snarled.
Becky crossed her arms and leaned against the door frame. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Alise admired Becky’s coolness even though she could feel the woman’s fear from beside her. She reached out and took her hand. She only wished she was as brave as Becky, who only had a bathrobe to protect her. Still, she had Richard’s tunic protecting her modesty and his scent on the rough wool gave her something comforting to concentrate on.
“Don’t play games with me, woman...” the muscular superhero growled. “Wait...maybe you don’t know but your little elf might. Why don’t I twist her neck around a bit? It might jog someone’s memory.”
“You lay one hand on her, knave, and I’ll split you gullet to groin,” Richard stepped in front of both of them and leveled his sword.
Alise had not heard him come down the hall. He was clad only in his trousers but Alise had never seen a more handsome or welcome sight.
“A sword?” Superior tried to contain his laughter and failed. “You’re going to threaten me with that little pigsticker?”
The superhero took a menacing step forward only to be met with the flash of metal. Captain Superior took a startled step backwards as blood began to well up from the slash across his chest. “How?” he choked out.
“I wield the sacred blade of Guron. Many a foe has made the same mistake. Yield and I shall spare your life. My next strike shall be a mortal one. I say again, yield.”
“Harlan, I’d listen to him,” Becky said. “You can still walk away from whatever this is.”
“Don’t call me that!” Superior shrieked, his eyes rapidly searching the room but he took a step backwards. “I will have it! I’m not going away!”
“What are you talking about?” Becky said.
“You found it and hid it somewhere else,” the superhero said, ignoring them. “No. You’re too much a goody-two-shoes. You’d return it wouldn’t you?” He turned away from them.
“Stand your ground!” Richard barked.
Superior spared a glance over his shoulder. “Shove it up your ass,” he growled and disappeared in a blur of super speed. A blue and gold blur collided with the workshop door and it exploded into pieces.
“We’ve got to stop him,” Alise yelled but Richard and Becky were already running towards the ruins of the door.
The trio popped out into absolute chaos. Elves were running about in terror and two of the
large oak work tables lay in pieces, pieces of partially completed toys scattered everywhere.
“Kris!” Becky yelled.
“Which way did the villain go?” Richard asked.
“He’s headed for the Krampus room,” Alise tried to shout over the noise even though she wanted to stop and help her friends, but they had to stop the insane hero before he did... whatever it was he was doing. It still made no sense to her. “This way!” she pointed down a hallway.
As Alise ran down the familiar wood paneled hallway, she gathered her jumbled thoughts. No. He wasn’t headed for the Krampus room. At least not yet. The magic-detector disappeared from her room. That’s where he took it from. Oh, no! Please don’t let Melira be there!
The door to her room lay broken against the wall where it had been ripped from its hinges. She rushed inside despite Richard’s shout to let him enter first.
Tears sprang to her eyes at the devastation. Her bed was destroyed, the mattress and sheets ripped apart and discarded, the heavy decoratively carved frame wrecked. It had been the only thing she could ever call her own and its loss was a heavy blow. The only good thing was that Melira had not been there.
She felt Richard’s arms wrap around her from behind and tried to draw what she could from his strength and compassion. “I’m truly sorry but we cannot tarry here,” he murmured into her hair. The sound of voices from the hall lent credence to his words.
“Becky, what in the name of all that is holly is going on?” the man in the red pants and white T-shirt demanded. Alise felt herself quail before his forceful presence. Here it was. She was in big trouble now.
“Kris, one of my creations got into your workshop and is trying to steal one of your magic items. I don’t know why but it probably isn’t for any good,” Becky said.
Alise closed her eyes. Becky was technically telling the truth and protecting her at the same time. She didn’t like it but her own fear of admitting the truth overrode her speaking out.
