My Other Baby Mama Box Set Page 10

She watched her man as he got dressed and brushed his hair. Ramsey wore a black Polo tee shirt, black Balmain jeans with a pair of black high-top Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers. His gold chain and watch made his skin look brighter than it already was. She got wet just from looking at him. When he snatched his phone off the dresser and placed it in his pockets along with his money clip, Cash filled her gold clutch bag with her phone, keys and lip gloss before they left the room.

As they walked outside, the driver was waiting for them with the back door opened. They got in the car and the gang was already inside. As soon as the door closed, Randall poured Cashmere and Ramsey glasses of Ace of Spade. They all shouted happy birthday to Cash before they sipped their wine. She was feeling good as she turned up with her family but was clueless as to where they were going but she didn’t care. All she wanted to do was have a great time with the ones she loved the most.

Moments later, they arrived at a seafood restaurant, which came at a perfect time for her because she was starving. The men helped the woman out of the car and walked into the restaurant. Cashmere held Ramsey’s hand as he spoke to the hostess. Seconds later, they were being seated at a large table in a private room. When everyone was seated, they instantly looked at their menus. Not being able to decide on what she wanted, she figured that she would order whatever she had a taste for.

A few minutes later, a waitress came to take their food and drink orders. After everyone gave their order, the waitress took off. She took a few pictures on her phone of her friends and a few pictures of her and her baby as well. After sitting her phone down, Ramsey leaned over and whispered in her ear.

“How are you enjoyin’ ya birthday week, bae?”

“I’m enjoying it very much,” Cash smiled. “You don’t know how much I love and appreciate you for doing this for me. Thank you, baby.”

“No need to thank me, Cash. You deserve everythin’ I do for you. Don’t you ever forget that.” He leaned over and kissed her lips.

“Cut that shit out,” Ryan yelled. “It’s bad enough I’m the only that’s not going to be fucking tonight.” She rolled her eyes.

Cashmere and Tiffany burst into laughter while Ramsey and Randall gave their sister the side eye.

“Don’t be looking at me like that. Shit, we all grown.” She dismissed her brother’s stares.

Two waitresses returned with their drinks and food, which made Cashmere’s stomach very happy. After everyone had their food, she didn’t hesitate to stuff her face. She was in a world of pure delight as she filled up on crab cakes, clams, stuff mushrooms and lobster Alfredo. Cash finished her third margarita and was ready for her forth. As they waited for their drinks, she watched Ramsey as he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. By the expression displayed on his face, she knew it wasn’t good. Before she could ask what was wrong, Ryan spoke.

“Does anyone have to go to the bathroom?”

  “I do,” Tiffany answered.

  “I guess I could try.”

The ladies got up from the table making their way to the bathroom. As they walked through restaurant, Cash suddenly felt uneasy and she didn’t know why. When they entered the bathroom, she touched up her lip gloss while her friends handled their business. After they were finished in the stalls, they washed and dried their hands and was on their way out of the bathroom until Ryan received a text. Not being able to read her besties face was never a good sign and the fact the she wasn’t able to read Ryan’s at the moment raised suspicion that something was.

“Ryan, what’s going on?” Cash asked.

Cash looked from Ryan to Tiffany as she waited for someone to answer.

“Somebody fucking say something!” she shouted.

Seconds later, another text came through on Ryan’s phone and before she could check it, she snatched the phone out of her hand, running into one of the stalls and locking herself in.

“Cash please don’t read that text!” Ryan banged on the door to the stall.

Ignoring her friends warning, she read the message anyway.

Ramsey: Yo sis. Baylynn showed up at the restaurant and in order for me to make her go away, I had to leave with her. I’m goin’ back to home. I need you to cover for me with Cash. Make up any good excuse. I know you’re gonna hate me for this but I’ll make it up to you and Cash too. Tell Cash I love her and I’m sorry

Cashmere didn’t even know she was crying until she saw a tear hit the screen of the phone. She didn’t care that Baylynn showed up in Aruba but the fact that Ramsey left with her just to make her go away was some bullshit. Reading the message once more, she unlocked the stall door.

“Did you know that bitch was coming here, Ryan?” She walked towards Ryan making her back up.

  “Huh?”

“Huh my ass bitch! Did you know that she was coming?”

“Ramsey told us about it today when we were at the villa,” Ryan sighed.

“And you felt as though that wasn’t important enough to tell me or were you covering for your trifling ass brother!?”

“I didn’t want the night to be ruined, Cash. We thought we were doing the right thing. I’m sorry,” Ryan grabbed her hand.

“I’m sorry too.” Tiff wrapped her arm around Cashmere’s shoulder.

“I’m not mad at y’all for real. I’m just hurt that he picked her over me again. Y’all don’t know how much this shit hurt.” She began sobbing uncontrollably.

“Come on, girl. Stop crying now.” Ryan wiped her tears.

“Maybe a few more drinks will help you feel better,” Tiffany chimed in.

“I don’t want to be here anymore. I’m ready to go back home. I’m on the next flight out of here.”

Walking out of the bathroom with her girls right behind her, Cash got in the limo and waited for the others. No one said a word as they drove back to their villas. She silently cried as she thought of how her birthday went from sugar to shit in the matter of minutes. The hurt that she felt couldn’t be explained but she was tired of being hurt by Ramsey. Every time he caused her pain in any way, she lost a piece of herself in the process. This was the last and final time that she was going to allow him to hurt her. Cashmere decided, in that moment, that it was time for her to move on.

Baylynn was furious the entire way home. Not only did Ramsey cuss her ass out for popping up in Aruba but he also cussed her out for ruining his vacation with the dumb shit. His nonchalant attitude added fuel to her fire. She couldn't believe how he acted as if he didn't do anything wrong and he wasn't at fault for anything. She wanted to set it off in Aruba but decided to wait until they returned home.

Baylynn was pissed that he didn’t ride back home with her but she needed the alone time to think about how she was going to handle the situation at hand. Although she slept around on him, she still felt like no one compared to him. She knew that she wasn't going to find a man like Ramsey no matter how hard she tried. Being on the straight and narrow for a while, Bay had gotten used to being fully committed to him and she didn't want to give that up.

Her Uber driver pulled up just in time to catch Ramsey walking in the house. She grabbed her bags, closed the door and walked quickly to the front door. As soon as she walked in the house, she dropped her bags by the front door walking to the bedroom to find her man who was sitting on the edge of the bed making a phone call. Standing in the door watching him, he repeatedly tried to reach the person he was calling, completely ignoring her presence. After watching him making another failed attempt on his phone, Baylynn spoke up.

“So, you just gonna act like you don't see me standin’ here?”

“How can I not see you with all that damn pink on lookin’ like a bottle of Pepto Bismol,” he answered annoyed.

“Oh, you got fuckin’ jokes, huh?” She rolled her eyes. “Ramsey, can you please put ya phone down so we can talk? Damn!”

“Don’t be raisin’ ya fuckin’ voice at me, yo. I should be the one yellin’ and shit. Because of you, I fucked
up my shawty’s birthday vacation. She ain’t never gonna forgive my ass now.” Ramsey shook his head.

“Ya shawty? You claimin’ that bitch? Let me find out that bitch is more than just ya side piece, Ramsey.”

“Cash is a lot more to me than just a side bitch, Baylynn. She’s not only the woman I wanna be with, she also my other baby mama.” He stood up taking his shirt off before tossing it in the dirty clothes bin.

“Your other baby mama? Nigga, you fucked around and had a baby on me?” she yelled as she swung wildly on Ramsey trying to land a punch.

“Calm the fuck down, Baylynn!” He grabbed both of her wrist tightly and held them.

“Let me go!” she struggled to get free but failed.

“Naw, you wanted to talk. So, ya ass is gonna listen,” squeezing her wrist tighter before he spoke, “Yes, I have another baby. The baby you saw at my mother’s house, that’s my other daughter, Cassi. As far as Cashmere, I’ve been seein’ her for a while, almost three years now. Even though I always wanted to be with her, I stayed with you because I was with you first and you helped me with my business. You held me down and you were there whenever I needed you. I didn't want to fuck things up with you and risk fuckin’ up my money but I didn't want to lose Cash either. So, I did what I had to do to keep both of y’all. I always put you first because we share a home and a child together but when I found out that you were still the same thot that I met years ago, my feelings for you changed and I started givin’ Cash the attention she had been patiently waitin’ for. Yesterday was her birthday and I just left her so you wouldn’t fuck up her day.”

They stared at each other for minutes without speaking. Baylynn had not felt pain that bad since her mother kicked her out for being pregnant. She couldn’t believe that Ramsey had been cheating on her for three years and she never even knew it. She never noticed the signs and everything that he told her sound believable. Thinking about the baby, the pain that she felt increased, which caused the tears to fall. She wasn’t worried about how he learned that she was still selling pussy because she knew that somebody had told him but it killed her to know that another woman had her man’s heart and mothered his real daughter. Since Ramsey had come clean with her, she figured it was time for her to come clean about Brandi.

“Can you let me go now?” Baylynn sniffled.

  “Are you gonna hit me?”

  “Naw, I good.”

When he released her, she backed away from him until she was standing back in the doorway. She needed room to run just in case he decided to kill her after telling him the truth about Brandi.

“Well, Ramsey. I’m glad that you kept it one hundred with me. I’m hurt right now but I can’t let that stop me from givin’ you the real.” She spoke wiping the tears from her eyes.

“I’m listenin’.” He folded his arms over his chest.

“A year or so ago, I had fling with some guy out in Delaware and when I found out I was pregnant, I tried to cut things off with him but I never heard from him again. When Brandi was born, I knew… that….she wasn't your daughter.” She took another step back.

“So, all this time you knew that Brandi wasn't my daughter but you never said anythin’?” He took a step closer to her causing her to step back again.

“I planned on tellin’ you one day but not no time soon,” her voice quivered.

“So, when the fuck was you gonna tell me? When she turned eighteen? When you done got my ass to help you raise and support her and shit! Huh!” Ramsey charged towards Baylynn who had run in the bathroom locking the door behind her.

Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest and she began to panic. She watched the doorknob twist back and forth but it didn’t open. She jumped as he pounded on the door.

  “Open this fuckin’ door, Baylynn!”

“Ramsey, baby, I’m sorry.” She began to cry again. “I didn't mean for this to happen. I swear I didn't.”

“Shut the fuck up with that bullshit, Bay! You knew what the fuck you were doin’. Ain’t nobody put a fuckin’ gun to ya head and make you fuck nobody! You just a nasty ass bitch that can’t keep her fuckin’ legs closed!”

“How are you gonna talk to me like that after all we’ve been through, huh?” Her sobbing continued.

“How the fuck can you do me like this after all we’ve been through? Yeah, I cheated on you and had a baby with another chick but I kept that shit on the low because I didn't want to hurt you. I put a woman that deserves to be put first second because I didn't want to fuck up what we had. You wanna be sellin’ pussy like you hurtin’ for money and shit. Then on top of that, you fucked around and got pregnant by some other nigga and wasn't even gonna tell me that I wasn't the father. We both fucked up but to be honest with you, I don't know who fucked up worse.”

“So, where do we go from here, Ramsey?”

“You and Brandi gotta go. I’m about to leave so you can pack y’all shit and when I come back, you better not be here”

“Ramsey, please don’t do this. We can get passed this, bae. I’m gonna change. I promise.”

“It’s too late for that now, man. Just get ya shit and leave.”

She heard Ramsey grab his keys slamming the door on his way out seconds later. Waiting a few minutes just to make sure he was gone, she walked out of the bathroom. She rushed over to the closet, grabbing her suitcases and began packing her bags. In disbelief that her man of five years wanted her to leave, she had a feeling that he wasn't going to stay with her once he found out the truth. Bay didn't know what she was going to do with her life now that Ramsey wasn't a part of it. She needed to find another money source and she knew just the person to go to. Manny.

A few days had passed since Ramsey broke up with Baylynn and he was going through it. All he did was smoke, drink and sleep the days away and when he wasn't sleeping, he was blowing up Cashmere’s phone. He knew it was only a matter of time before she blocked him all together but that didn't stop him from calling. He was missing Cash and Cassi like crazy and the only reason he didn't pop up at her crib was because he was too scared to face her. Ramsey didn't want to feel the wrath of the woman he hurt or see the pain he caused in her eyes. Knowing he fucked up royally when he left Cash in Aruba on her birthday, he also knew there was no way to fix the mess he made.

Listening to his phone ring for the past hour, he didn't bother answering it. His family blew his phone up as well as Baylynn but the only person he talked to was Nick, letting him know that he was going to missing in action for a while and that Nick was in charge. Ramsey sat in his room in total darkness with door and blinds closed as he thought about how messed his life was. He went from having two women to no women at all and the woman that he wanted the most was too mad at him to answer his calls.

Another hour had passed before Ramsey heard someone unlocking his front door. He heard a woman call his name and he knew it was his mother but he didn’t respond. Seconds later, his bedroom door open when the light came on, he winced from the brightness.

“Boy, what the hell you doin’ sittin’ in the dark? And why you ain’t answerin’ ya phone?” Renee asked.

He smiled a little when he saw Cassi in his mother’s arms and she was happy to see her dad. Renee handed Cassi to her father sitting next her son on the bed.

“I asked you two questions, Ramsey and you ain’t answered them yet. Don't make me have to repeat myself.”

“I’m sure Randall and Ryan already told you what happened in Aruba.”

“They did and Ryan is pissed off at you but I want to hear the story from you.”

“Baylynn showed up and was about to ruin Cash’s birthday by confrontin’ her. She wouldn't leave unless I came with her. So, I left. I sent Ryan a text message tellin’ her to cover for me but I guess she didn’t.”

“Ryan told me that Cash took her phone and read the message you sent her. She said Cash didn't want to stay in Aruba after that. They got back to Philly the day after her birthday.”

“Fuck!” Ramsey shouted, which startled Cassi a little.

Ramsey kissed Cassi’s cheek, placing her on the bed.

“What happened with Baylynn? I see her clothes are gone?” Renee observed the room.

“I told her about Cash and how I felt about her. I told her I knew about her sellin’ pussy for bread, which she didn't deny. Baylynn told me that I wasn't the father of Brandi and I told her to pack her shit,” Ramsey sighed.

“So, I guess you don’t need to open this then?” she pulled out an envelope that contained the DNA results.

“Naw, even though I know you opened it anyway.”

“You know me so well.” They chuckled. “I knew that baby wasn't yours and that hoe lied about it all this time,” Renee stated shaking her head.

“I can’t believe she played me, ma.”

“Ramsey, if you don't hush. You knew what type of chick she was when we first moved on that block. Yeah, she changed her ways for a while but you should’ve known that wasn't gonna last long but as far as her playin’ you, the way I see it, y’all played each other.”

“How you figure that?” He gave his mother the side eye.

“Son, she cheated on you and had an outside baby. You cheated and had an outside baby. Y’all basically did the same thing. You used that girl to do ya dirty work and she used you for money and street cred. Neither one of y’all really loved each other. It was a business relationship that should’ve never been a relationship, son.”

Thinking about what his mom said, he realized that she was right.

“Damn, ma. I never looked at it like that,” he chuckled. “How long is Cashmere gonna be mad at me?”

“I can’t answer that question. She’s hurtin’ right now from the pain you caused her. You’ve hurt that girl more times than I can count and she still stood beside you and hung in there with you. I hate to say this but I think you might’ve lost her for good this time,” Renee admitted.
