My Other Baby Mama Box Set Page 30

Ramsey walked over to the window and banged his fist on it, but not hard enough to break or shatter the glass. He leaned his head against the glass and a feeling of guilt entered his thoughts. Ramsey knew he had made many mistakes when it came to Cashmere. He wasn’t honest with her when he first met her. She was his secret for two years, and the icing on the cake was when he left her in Aruba to chase after Baylynn. He shook his head, trying to free himself of his thoughts, but it didn’t help. Ramsey felt that if he had done things differently, Cashmere would have never had the time to be in the presence of another man. He had no doubt that Cashmere loved him and he knew she wouldn’t leave him to be with another nigga. Darren wasn’t a threat to Ramsey, but he didn’t want another man loving or lusting after the woman he loved.

“Rams, I got a feeling you’re beating yourself up about this, but you can’t trip on the shit that happened in the past. No matter how fucked it may be. Cashmere is your fiancée now and you’ve done a hell of a job turning your life around. Just stay on the straight and narrow, and as far as Darren, we’ll handle his ass when the time comes.”

Ramsey turned around to look at his sister, then his eyes landed on Cashmere. Ryan was right, and her words brought him some comfort. He walked over to his sister and hugged her, then kissed Cashmere on her forehead. They talked for a few more minutes before Ryan left out. Ramsey got settled in the chair that his sister was sitting in and flipped on the TV. Ramsey called his brother to update him on what happened at the meeting and for him to catch up with Nick so he could let Randall know about the men they were looking for. He also called his mother to check on her and to give her an update on Cash and the twins. After he ended the call with his mom, his phone played a tone, indicating he had a text. He went to his messages and saw that it was from Phoenix.

Phoenix: I don’t know why your ass is ignoring my calls but I have a doctor appointment tomorrow and I would like your ass to be there.

  Ramsey: Where and what time?

Phoenix: Main Line Health Care in Norristown at 9:30 a.m.

  Ramsey: I’ll be there.

  Phoenix: See you tomorrow, Sexy.

Ramsey tucked his phone into his pocket before running his hands over his face. The thought of him having another baby mama still blew his mind, and he still didn’t know how he was going to explain the situation to Cashmere when she finally woke up from her coma. Ramsey knew the news of him having another baby wasn’t going to sit well with her, but he believed Cashmere would still be by his side at the end. He grabbed his fiancée’s hand and kissed it.

“I fucked up, Cash, and I just pray you can find it in your heart to forgive me when I tell you what I did.”

Ramsey had trouble falling asleep that night, and when he finally got comfortable, it was time for him to get ready to meet Phoenix. He texted his brother to see if he could sit with Cash while he ran out and his brother texted back that Tiffany was on her way there. It was just his luck that Tiffany would come the day he was going to see Phoenix since she was the only other person who knew about Phoenix besides Randall. When Tiffany arrived, they exchanged a brief hug and Ramsey told her he would be back in a few hours before he left.

He arrived at the doctor’s office ten minutes early and saw Phoenix waiting in front of the building. As he approached her, she smiled brightly at him, but when Phoenix tried to hug him, he pushed her away, causing her smile to fade. She sucked her teeth before opening the office door and walking inside. Ramsey took a seat while Phoenix walked to the receptionist desk. After signing in, she sat next to Ramsey.

“You can’t at least look like you want to be here?” she snapped.

“With all due respect, I’m here because I don’t have proof that this baby is mine, but until we find out, I’m gonna do what I need to. I apologize because I’m not givin’ you the reaction you want, but until I find out if this child is mine, this is the reaction you will always receive from me,” he stated in a harsh, cold tone.

Phoenix’s face displayed a look of hurt and worry. She was about to part her lips to say something, but her name was called by the medical assistant. Ramsey followed Phoenix and when they were inside the room, the medical assistant took her vital signs. When she was finished checking her blood pressure, she informed her that the doctor would be with her shortly before she walked out. Ramsey sat with his arms folded as they waited for the doctor. He watched Phoenix as she twiddled her thumbs and he wondered what she was thinking, but didn’t care that much to ask. When the doctor came in minutes later, he asked her a bunch of questions before he listened to the baby’s heartbeat. Phoenix was in tears, while hearing the baby’s heartbeat didn’t seem to have any effect on Ramsey. Once the doctor gave her the prescription for her prenatal vitamins, Phoenix scheduled her next doctor’s appointment before they left the office.

Ramsey watched Phoenix as she walked to her car, and when she was out of sight, he got in his own. He sat there for a minute as he thought back to the questions the doctor had asked her. The doctor told her that she was fourteen weeks pregnant and that was when it dawned on him that the baby wasn’t his. Phoenix popped up three months later, claiming she was pregnant by Ramsey, but when he did the math, he concluded that she was already a month pregnant when they had sex. He pounded his fist on the steering wheel before he pulled his phone out of his pocket and called Isiah, Randall’s friend and the CO who worked at the prison he was in.

“Yo, Ramsey. What’s good with you?” he answered.

“Not a damn thing, bro. That bitch Phoenix tryna pin this baby on me. We just left the doctor’s office and she’s too far along to be pregnant by me,” he fumed.

“Damn, man. These bitches are scandalous!”

“Don’t I know it. But I need you to do me a favor, and you know I got you on the bread.”

  “What you need?”

“I need you to keep a close eye on Phoenix. I need you to pay attention to the places she goes and the people she talks to. As soon as you find somethin’, even the smallest thing, I wanna know about it.”

“Say no more, bro. I’ll hit you up when I got somethin’.”

  “I appreciate it.”

Ramsey ended the call, started his car and pulled out of the lot with screeching tires. As he headed back to the hospital, he never thought Phoenix was the kind of bitch who would pull a stunt like that, but Ramsey knew you couldn’t give everyone the benefit of the doubt. He had a feeling Phoenix wasn’t working alone. The change in her behavior while he was at the prison should have been a dead giveaway that she was up to something, but he was just too stupid to see it. He couldn’t help but think that Phoenix was a part of the group that had tried to kill Cashmere, Tamia and Baylynn, and if she was, Ramsey was going to handle her ass personally.

  One Month Later…

The past month had been rough for Ramsey, and he could barely keep it together. If it wasn’t for his family spending time with him while he was in the hospital, he would’ve broken down a long time ago. The men responsible for the accidents of the sisters were still at large, and no matter how hard they looked, the men couldn’t be found. Ramsey checked in with Isiah every day for updates on Phoenix, but he came up empty. It seemed like their attackers were playing it safe for the moment, but Ramsey knew their asses would slip up soon enough.

On top of everything else he was dealing with, Cashmere was still in a coma and it was wearing him down. The negative thoughts kicked in every day, but he shook his thoughts of her not making it off real quick. Ramsey knew Cashmere was strong and knew without a doubt that she would pull through.

It was the middle of the night when Ramsey woke up to use the restroom. He looked over at Cashmere to see if she was okay, and she was still the same as she had been for the past month. He kissed her forehead softly before he went into the bathroom. After he relieved himself, Ramsey washed his hands before washing his face. He dried his face off with a towel and stared at his reflection.

  “I k
now my baby girl is gonna wake up outta this coma. I need her here with me,” he sighed.

“I’m not gonna lose hope. I just gotta keep tellin’ myself that she’s gonna make it. She’s gonna make it,” he spoke to his reflection.

As Ramsey continued to stare at his reflection, he heard moans coming from the other side of the door that sounded like Cashmere. He waited to see if he would hear them again, and when he did, he walked out of the bathroom to check on her. He saw Cashmere struggling to sit up in bed and rushed over to her bedside.

“Oh my God. Cashmere!” He tried to hold back his tears, but they rolled down his face.

“Ramsey, baby? Why are you crying and why the hell am I in the hospital? Baby, what happened?” Cashmere began to panic.

“Baby, I need you to calm down for a minute and just talk to me, okay?” He wiped his face with his free hand.

“Okay, bae.” She stared at him for a minute before she smiled.

“Why are you staring at me like that?”

“Because I thought I was gonna lose you, Cash. You had a nigga scared like a motherfucka, but I knew you were gonna be okay,” he smiled.

“Lose me? Baby, what happened?” she asked worriedly.

Ramsey took a breath before he began.

“About a month and a half ago, you were involved in a car accident while you were on your way to visit Baylynn in the hospital. They had to perform an emergency C section on you—”

“OH MY GOD! NO! Ramsey, please tell me I didn’t lose the baby!” She placed her hand on her stomach as if she was still pregnant and panicked.

“Baby, baby, calm down. You didn’t lose the baby, Cash. Both of the babies survived,” he smiled.

“Both? Ramsey, are you telling me—”

  “We have twin girls, bae.”

She placed her hand over her mouth as she cried.

  “Twin girls,” she whispered.

  Ramsey nodded and smiled.

“I want to see our babies right now.”

Ramsey pushed the call button for the nurse, and as they waited for the nurse to come, they continued to talk.

“How old are the babies?” she beamed.

  “A month and two weeks.”

“Wait a minute. I’ve been in the hospital that long?”

“You were…in a coma, Cashmere. It was caused by the car accident you were involved in.”

“Did you stay in the hospital with me all this time?”

“Hell yeah. I was not goin’ home to an empty house. The babies have been in the nursery and the doctors have been takin’ very good care of them. I didn’t name the babies yet because I wanted us to name them together. You are my world, Cashmere, and I wasn’t gonna leave here until you came home.”

“Aww, baby.” She embraced him with extended arms, hugging him tightly.

“I love you so much, Cashmere.”

  “I love you, too.”

The knock on the door interrupted their moment as the nurse came through the door. Her eyes were wide as she looked at Cashmere who was now awake from her coma. The nurses who worked the night shift had been caring for Cashmere since she’d come to the hospital, and to see her no longer in a coma was a sight to see. After they requested to see the twins, the nurse rushed out the door to get them.

“Speaking of babies, who has Cassi?”

“Cassi is with your mother right now. The grandmas have been takin’ turns watchin’ her. I’ve spent time with her as well. There was always someone at the hospital with you while I was out handlin’ business or spendin’ time with Cassi.” He pulled the chair closer to her bed and sat down.

  “How is my family?”

“Your mother lived at this hospital just like I did, and your father came to visit you as well. You know Ryan and Tiffany came by to see you, and so did your sisters. My mom and Randall stopped by when they could. Long story short, everyone is fine.”

“My sisters? Baylynn came to see me?”

“Yeah. A few times. She was really worried about you.”

  Cashmere smiled a little.

“Were you nice to her when she came?”

“Yes, Cashmere. Tamia told me to ease up, so I did,” he shrugged.

“That was very big of you, bae.” She smiled at him.

Minutes later, the nurse returned with the twins. She parked the cart on the left-hand side of the bed and handed the babies to Cashmere, one by one. The nurse explained to Cash which baby was the oldest, the time and day they were born, and their weight. When Cashmere was comfortable with the babies, she gazed at them and cried. The nurse informed her that the babies had been fed before she brought them in, and when they were ready to eat again, she could breastfeed them if she wanted. The nurse informed them that she would be back in about an hour or so to check on them before she walked out the room.

Ramsey couldn’t help but stare at his fiancée as she held their babies. Even though Cashmere didn’t look her best, she was still beautiful to him, and seeing her holding the twins brought tears to his eyes. Although he told himself Cash was going to make it, there was a small possibility that she wouldn’t, but being as though she had, he was eternally grateful. Ramsey pulled out his phone and snapped a few pictures of Cashmere with the girls before he FaceTimed her mom. When he informed Ms. Cassandra that Cashmere had awaken from her coma, she burst into tears. Ramsey flipped the screen around so Ms. Cassandra could see her daughter holding her grandbabies. They did more crying than talking, and Ms. Cassandra promised she would be there first thing in the morning before the call ended.

One of the babies began to cry and Ramsey jumped into daddy mode, removing the crying child from Cashmere’s arms. The baby stopped crying immediately when she was settled in his arms. Ramsey stared into the eyes of his baby girl and he couldn’t help but smile.

“Oh, my goodness, Ramsey! Look at our beautiful girls,” Cashmere cooed.

“I can’t believe how chunky they are and they’re only a month and two weeks old.”

“They’ve been eatin’ real good in the nursery,” he chuckled.

  “Which baby am I holdin’?”

  “You’re holding Baby B.”

“I think this little one is gonna be a daddy’s girl. She hasn’t taken her eyes off me since I got her.” He smiled at the baby.

“I think I know what I want their names to be.”

“What you thinkin’, bae?” He sat on the bed with her.

“I think I want to name them Raina and Reema Miller.” She smiled at him.

“Raina and Reema Miller. I like it. I like it a lot.” Ramsey leaned over and kissed her.

The two of them laid in the hospital bed and talked about their twin girls. Ramsey and Cashmere tried to find things about the girls that they could use to tell them apart, but the only thing that was different about them were the color of their eyes. Raina had a set of hazel eyes and Reema had one light-brown eye and one hazel eye. They couldn’t believe that her eyes had come out that color, but they loved it. As promised, the nurse came back to check on them. She took Cashmere’s vital signs along with the babies’ and everything was fine. The nurse offered to take the twins back to the nursery, but they wanted to keep them a little while longer.

When the nurse left the room, they sat in silence as they stared at the babies in awe.

“Ramsey, I was thinking that when I get out of here, maybe we can go to City Hall and get married.”

  “You don’t want the ceremony?”

“Of course, I want the ceremony, but we can always have that. Life is too short and I don’t want to wait another minute to be your wife. So, what do you say?”

  “Let’s do it then.”

They kissed to seal the deal and Ramsey’s heart was overwhelmed with joy. Cashmere waking up from her coma was all he needed for his world to turn around. She had only been awake for a couple of hours and everything that was wrong in his world felt right again. At that moment, he didn’t care that her attackers were still on the loose.
All he wanted to do was spend as much time as he could with his family. Him getting his revenge would have to wait, but not for long.

“Fuuucckk, Manny!” Baylynn groaned as Manny pushed his dick deep inside her.

Baylynn threw her ass at him while Manny continued to fuck her from the back. Gripping the sheets, she threw her ass back harder each time, making it hard for Manny to keep up.

“Shit, baby! Slow the fuck down before you make me nut!” Manny groaned.

His words made her smile cockily as she tightened her pussy around his dick. Manny gripped her hips as he filled her insides with his cum. Seconds later, Baylynn’s juices covered his manhood and dripped down her thighs. Once their breathing was back to normal, they wiped themselves off before they got comfortable in the bed. Baylynn laid her head on her man’s chest as he wrapped his arms around her. The sun was starting to rise and Baylynn wasn’t in the mood to go to work after the session they’d just had.

“Ugh! I don’t wanna go to work today,” she whined.

  “So, what you sayin’?”

“Just because I don’t wanna go, don’t mean I ain’t goin’,” Baylynn chuckled.

“That’s that hustla talk right there.” Manny kissed her forehead.

Baylynn leaned up and kissed his lips passionately. Manny’s hands found her breast and he began fondling it.

“You better cut it out or you gonna make me late,” she said between kisses.

“Fuck ya job. I’ll pay you for the day.” He pulled her on top of him.

Baylynn was about to insert his swollen shaft inside her wetness, but before she could, her cell phone began to ring. Snatching her phone off the nightstand, she saw it was Tamia calling. Everything in her wanted to ignore the call, but being as though she was calling her that early in the morning, she figured it was important.
