She shook her head, getting up off the couch to approach me. "He's brainwashed you. Don't you understand?"
"Tell me that you won't contact anybody."
"Fine. But stay here. Stay home. You don’t belong out there with that creature."
"But I do, Mom, you don't understand. I…"
She glared at me. "Don't you say it."
"I love him."
"How can you love him? You barely know the man!"
At least we'd gone from creature to man. That was progress.
"I don't know, I just feel it. I care about him a lot."
"After keeping you away from your family? Son, you've got to stay here with me. Please."
I couldn't stand to see my mother begging like that. I would've thought she was about to fall onto her knees and pray for me to stay home. But nothing she said was going to make me stay.
"I'm so sorry, but I can't. I'll stay with you for the rest of the day, but once night falls again I have to go. We made a deal."
"Yes, you made a deal with the devil and now you want to follow him back to hell. Do you hear what you're saying right now?"
I was tired. Tired of everything, tired of her arguing, tired of this situation. If I knew it was going to be like this, I might not have come home at all.
"I don't want to fight anymore. Don't you want to just enjoy the rest of the day together? Because regardless of what you say, I’m still going to leave. So let's just enjoy the time that we have."
"No. I'm not going to sit here and wait for my son to just up and leave again. I'm not going to call anybody just yet, but I'm not going to sit around and wait for you to disappear. I'm never going to see you after this, am I?"
"Not if you keep acting like this!"
Her eyes widened and her mouth fell open, surprised at the fact that I was shouting at her. At my own mother. She was driving me crazy—we were just talking in circles and nothing was going to come of that.
"I don't know who you are anymore," she said, her bottom lip trembling as she rushed up the stairs.
"Great," I said to myself, running a hand over my face, defeated.
I stared around the empty room, the lack of dust. The lack of cobwebs, the lack of Lago and the knickknacks. The lack of my Master. Could I ever come back to this life and act like nothing happened? Just go on without him after having had him just once?
No, I couldn't do it. I was all that Sebastian had, and for some reason he was so important to me already. I'd wait up in my room until he awoke and we could leave. If my mother didn't want to hear anything more from me, didn't want any goodbyes, she wouldn't get them. But I wasn't going to be unhappy just for her sake.
I did, however, snatch one of the small picture frames and pry the back open, slipping out the photo of my mother and me, tucking it into my pocket before racing up the stairs to my room and locking the door behind me.
Later in the evening, I heard my mother leave her room and stomp down the steps. The front door opened and slammed shut, and I even heard the jingle of her keys as she locked the door behind her. I felt horrible for what had happened with her, but I was still sticking to my guns. I wasn't going to leave Sebastian just because she didn't like it.
Maybe it was strange that I already had this attachment to him. But I wasn't going to fight it.
Not when being with him made me feel so good.
And especially not when feeling him inside me felt so good too.
"What is the cause of commotion?" my Master said as he stepped out of the closet. He raised his arms high above his head as he stretched back with a yawn.
"It's nothing." I smiled. "Are you ready to head back?"
"Already? I didn't have a chance to say goodbye to your mother. I assume that you explained everything to her."
"I did. She didn't like any of it."
"Are we going to have a problem?" he asked, wrapping me in his arms. I sighed into his chest, resting my cheek against him.
"No, of course not. She swore not to call anyone, so hopefully no more police or anyone trying to come after us."
"Did you wish to pack anything else? Some clothing perhaps?" he said, still tugging at the tight fabric of the crotch on his basketball shorts. The poor man.
"You can change back into your clothing if you really want to," I teased, tugging at the hem of his shorts. He grabbed my hands, stopping me from proceeding.
"And if you try to free me of these confines, there'll be another beast to tame besides the will of your mother."
"Let's not talk about her right now." I smiled up at him, continuing to fumble with his shorts.
"You want that after everything that happened? I think your appetite for vampire is growing insatiable, my pet." For all his talk, I would say that it was he who was insatiable. He finally allowed me to pull the shorts all the way down, and stepped out of them. Only for me to look up to see that beast of which he claimed I must tame.
"You look like you want it as much as I do." I grabbed him in my fist, enjoying the hiss he gave as I squeezed the already pulsing shaft. "You're so hard already."
"Careful now. If you continue, I’ll have to take you right here. I don't think your mother would appreciate us staining her carpets."
I didn't let him trash talk anymore, bringing his cock closer to my mouth as I lowered my tongue to run over the top of it. I enjoyed the feeling of the smooth skin as I ran my tongue over the eye. He stiffened as I did, and stiffened even further as I gently raked my teeth over the head.
"Hells," he groaned, staring down at me as I looked up at him and took as much as I could in my mouth. I'd never taken such a massive member before, and as I did my best to swirl my tongue around as I sucked on it, I was surprised that I was able to take all of this inside of me that first time, it was so thick.
"Faster, already," he growled, as I took my mouth off him.
"You don't want me to tease you, Master?" I smiled up at him, but he grabbed the back of my head, pressing my lips hard onto the tip of his cock until I opened my mouth and accepted it in again.
This wasn't the passionate performance we’d had last time. This was pure, unabashed, primal skull fucking. He kept shoving his cock into my mouth as far as it would go until I could feel it start to pass down my throat. I gagged and pulled away before he could choke me with it. Instead I tried to use my saliva to pump the rest of the shaft with both my hands.
"If you stop sucking, I'm just going to have to fuck you raw," he threatened with a sly smirk, and I placed my mouth back over as much of his manhood as I could to shut him up. I wanted that, actually—for him to fuck me like no one had before—but I had been feeling queasy lately. I could please him with my mouth instead.
I enjoyed his swearing, his hands running through my hair as I swallowed him. I enjoyed making him feel good.
"You can slow down, pet," he warned me. But I didn't stop, I tried to go even faster, try to take him in even deeper as I rocked my head up and down his length. His nails scraped against my scalp as his hips began to rock with my movements. Suddenly he stopped me midway down his shaft as he suddenly burst. I could feel him growing larger in my mouth as he did, and abnormally so, just as it felt when he had finished inside me before.
I tasted his seed as it spilled over my tongue and down my throat, doing my best to swallow what I could. But he withdrew as his member grew even bigger. I was thankful for that at least. I didn't want to die in such a fashion. But I was still coughing, trying to spit out his cum while gasping for breath.
"Sorry," he apologized, wiping off his head with the shorts he was wearing before starting to dress in his previous attire.
"N-no. I'm fine. I'm okay," I reassured him, wiping my mouth off. "I just wasn't expecting so much. I feel sick."
"Sick? How so?" He stopped dressing, carefully eyeing me over.
"I've been feeling ill for a few days now, actually. It has nothing to do with you."
I was still on my knees in the middle of my coughing fit as
he squatted in front of me.
"My pet, I think it has everything to do with me." He smiled, reaching out a hand to gently caress the side of my face, ignoring the seed smeared there.
"Master?"
"You're pregnant."
Chapter 8
Sebastian
Duke had yet to come to terms with the fact that he was with child. I watched in my armchair as usual as he and Lago played on the ground. He threw a stick he had picked up from the garden and Lago ran right after it, returning it to him and sitting down while wagging his tail happily. I'd never seen Lago get along with anyone; it was refreshing to see. And yet even during their playtime, I noticed the glances Duke kept giving me.
"Is there a problem?" I asked, making a face as I took a sip of the blood I took from a duck I had caught in my garden. After having tasted Duke's blood, it was getting even more difficult to continue to drink from animals.
"Just the same thing as usual," he mumbled, picking up the stick and throwing it once more.
"There's nothing to worry about. I was there at the bedside of my wife when she gave birth; I saw everything that the midwife did. It might've been hundreds of years ago, but I still recall most of it."
"Gee, that's so reassuring."
I didn't approve of his sarcasm, but I didn't press the matter further. Of course he would be alarmed, but there was nothing to worry about with me at his side.
"Good," I replied, just as sarcastically.
"It's just… I'm a guy. How can a guy even give birth? Where does it come out of? How am I carrying something in the first place?"
I huffed, resting my face in my palm with a sigh. Again he'd have me repeat the information.
"I told you it happened when I bit you."
"So what, whenever a vampire bites someone they get pregnant?" He rolled his eyes, picking up the stick and tossing it again for Lago.
"Did you just roll your eyes at me, pet?" I said, sickly sweet as I turned to face him. He shrugged, letting out a yelp as I leapt from my seat and pounced on him quicker than he could realize.
"I asked you a question, my pet."
"I-I'm sorry, Master," he grunted from under my weight. But the smug look on his face made me believe he wasn't apologetic in the slightest. In fact, he began to squirm underneath me, his pelvis rubbing against me as I pinned him down.
"Don't be so naughty, it wouldn't do to punish you in such a condition."
He frowned, looking away. He wanted to be punished?
"As I said again and again, when I bit you it changed you."
"So vampires can get be impregnated, fine. But I'm not a vampire."
"No, but you were quite close to turning. It was… hard to control myself." My eyes darted towards the scar on his neck from when I had bit him. "It's not as if I could have pulled out, I was knotted deep within."
He was so cute when he blushed. I enjoyed his meek demeanor, but his boldness was starting to grow on me too.
"You could've changed me you know. I wouldn't have resisted. Not like I could have in that situation," he said.
"No, I couldn't have. I couldn't ever bestow this curse on another again. Not after everything that happened."
"But I'm not her, and this isn't the sixteenth or seventeenth century. I'm yours. I want you to do with me what you want." His voice lowered into a whisper as he ground his hips up against me again.
"You are mine… " I trailed off, gulping as I stared at his exposed neck. He must have realized what I desired. He tilted his head to the side, showing off the mark, bruised where blood had risen to the surface out of his burst veins. Blood that was warm, waiting to be drank.
"Do what you want with me."
My breath hitched in my throat.
I wanted to sink my teeth into him again. I didn't want to stop. I wanted to drain him dry of every last ounce of blood that flowed with each pump of his heart. I wanted to fuck him senseless as I drained him.
I wanted him to beg for it as his life left him and he became a vampire. Just like me.
"No!" I stopped myself, realizing how close I was leaning to him. So close that I could feel my teeth scrape against his skin. With a snarl, I stood from him, cracking my knuckles at my side.
"I'm going for a stroll to clear my head," I said, walking out of the room. "Come, Lago."
"Did I do something wrong, Master?" Duke called after me.
I ignored him, slamming the door shut behind me as I made my way down the staircase, to the hidden entrance again.
He was right. He wasn't my wife. He was mine, and he was my pet. I could do with him as I pleased. Duke would have a child, and I'd have a family once again. That was what I'd wanted for centuries. Not more monsters like myself being created. Just a family.
That was it.
Wasn't it?
I encircled the entirety of my keep, looking at the small bits of furniture that I hadn’t destroyed yet for firewood. The things that could not be burned, made of metal or glass. And the massive frames of images that had faded. I walked endlessly, only to find myself somewhere I hadn't been quite a long time. Even Lago realized this wasn't a good idea as he began to whine and lick the palm of my hand. I gave him a pat on the head as we stood in front of the door. It had many boards nailed across it to keep anyone from ever entering it. Even myself.
But I couldn't resist the temptation.
I pulled them off easily enough, though I did struggle on the inside what I was doing. Was I going to actually come into this place? After I swore I'd never enter again. I guessed now was as good of a time as any to break that promise.
I tossed each of the boards far to the side and out of the way, so that Lago wouldn't step on the nails on accident. Now there was nothing between me and going inside that room. I took a deep breath and pushed inside.
The thick layer of dust didn't disturb my sinuses, but I held an arm over my face as I entered. Spiderwebs with black widows creeping across littered every corner of the ceiling. A wooden rocking horse lay on its side with spatters of old blood across it. Small shoes, several other toys. Everything was as it was left when the villagers came and took them.
"Why do I torture myself?" I asked aloud. "Why did I come here?"
I made sure to step over everything, not to move anything out of place. I stopped walking once I stared up at the mural above the fireplace here.
Of me, in my prime as a human. Of my wife. Of our children. Thinking.
Lago continued to whine outside the doorway, refusing to come in with me.
All of their eyes seemed to stare deep into my lack of a soul, into the black pit that was there now that I was no longer a human.
"What am I doing?" I asked them, as though they were ancestors to give guidance rather than family. "I don't want to replace you."
I tentatively took a step forward, reaching a hand up to wipe away the dust gathered there. Even after this time, most of the image was still visible. It was her eyes that hurt me the most. It was her green eyes that judged me.
"I could live as what we'd become. But you couldn't. You couldn't stand it."
I gritted my teeth. "I was strong, but so weak now. I'm not replacing you, so stop judging me with those eyes."
I tried to ignore it, but I could still feel her piercing orbs on me. All of their weight and regret for not dying with her.
It was if she was telling me, 'No. Do not curse that boy too. Don't change him like you did to me and our family. It ruined everything. You ruined everything.'
I wanted a new family, but I couldn't ruin Duke's life. I wanted so desperately to turn him so that he could spend an eternity by my side.
But I couldn't.
"Don't judge me," I whispered to her, pleading for her to spare me that gaze. As suddenly as I touched the frame, I couldn't take it any longer and sank my claws inside. I raked my nails down, ripping the picture. "You have no right!" I shouted, grabbing the frame and pulling it off the wall.
Dust flew all around me as I bro
ke the frame, continuing to shred the image of what was once a happy family. One that I no longer had, one that was judging what I was doing. That questioned my existence.
"You have no right to judge me!" I shouted, ripping through it as tears fell from my eyes.
"What's that sound?" A voice echoed through the hollowness of my home.
I sniffled, stopping what I was doing to listen intently. Lago tucked his tail between his legs, looking back and forth between the noise and me before running off.
Someone was here.
I left the frame on the ground, jumping up towards the ceiling as I wrapped my arms around me, changing my form into that of a small black bat, hiding behind the thick spider webs.
"Look! On the ground. This picture fell," a policeman shouted, pointing his flashlight at the image. A man came up next to him, but he was in a uniform different than the officer's.
"It was recently broken, look at all the dust everywhere." He was dressed in all black with a white collar.
"Do you think that dog did it?" the policeman asked, shining his light around the room, until it focused on the empty space above the mantle of the fireplace.
"Do you really think a dog could reach up there? No. The woman was right, this place was infested by demons and spirits." The priest clutched tightly onto the cross hanging from his neck, whispering prayers.
"We've known this place has been haunted for centuries. What could be causing the spirits to become so disturbed?"
"Her son and his friends coming in here, probably tampering with things that shouldn't have. It probably stole some items that made the spirits angry."
"We're going to board it up, Father. But what more should we do?"
"I'll have to return. When I do, we’ll exorcise the entire place. Ahh!" the priest yelled, waving his arms as I flew over both of their heads.
"Bats! Demons and ghosts. We need to get started right away."
Chapter 9
Duke
I was so desperate to get out of this place, to see more than these chambers again. So desperately did I want to go back to the garden where I first laid with Sebastian. But I wasn't going anywhere, especially with this collar on me. Master refused to release me anymore. After he had left for his little walk with Lago, he hadn't taken it off me once there were priests and more officers showing up. Now he was scared. I hadn’t seen him so worried since I first arrived here, even if it had been quite some time since the people started coming even more frequently.
