Hidden Hearts: A M/M MPreg Non-Shifter Romance (Snow Falls Omegas Book 3) Page 11

by Esme Beal

“If you told me right from the start, I doubt things would be any different. I still have a job to do. And your brother seems intent on going through with this deal with Rivera.”

Bryce sighed another deep breath and smiled at me. The kind of smile that you gave when you were trying to hide how you really felt. There was some exhaustion on his face. Everything that happened would’ve taken a toll on anybody. The last thing he needed was all of that to pile on him while he was pregnant.

“I don’t know what to do,” he said.

“You don’t have to do anything. I don’t matter. Your brother doesn’t matter. The only thing you should be focused on is your baby.”

  “Our baby.”

“Come on. You can’t let something like this distract you. You still have to eat. I don’t want all of this to go to waste.”

“Well, when you put it like that…”

A generous portion of meatloaf on the table along with enough food to feed an entire shelter stacked on all of the plates. Despite everything going on, my mouth watered and my stomach growled with hunger. I helped myself to the food and almost forgot about everything stressing the both of us.

“This is good,” I said. “It’s not too sweet like a lot of meatloaf I’ve had.”

“I’ve had some time to think about it. Since I’m not working at the bar, I decided to look into what I’m already doing. I know you say you’d be happy with whatever I cooked but I figure I would make it even more special than before. Better than wasting my time sitting around and waiting for the baby to come.”

“You should be proud of this, Bryce. It’s good.”

I smiled at him. He hid his blushing face by taking another bite of food into his mouth. It was nice to see that he was a little more relaxed. For a moment, it felt like all of our problems were gone. But I knew that the food wouldn’t be enough to completely distract us, no matter how good it was.

“It was on the news,” Bryce said. “There was an explosion. Some warehouse. When it happened, I knew you had to be involved.”

“I’m sorry for worrying you like that.”

“Don’t be. You’re safe and you’re here now. I won’t worry about something that already happened.”

Bryce ate with the gusto of a man whose stomach was growing with a child inside of him. His ravenous appetite put a smile on my face. It made me forget for a moment about what I had to tell him.

  “I can’t lie to you,” I said.

  “About what?”

“Rivera is a dangerous man. After what he did tonight, it’s clear he’s intent on doing anything he can to make sure his plan goes through.”

“I know that you can deal with him.”

“I think so, too. The captain is giving me all of her support. We’re doing everything we can at the station to take him down. All of the evidence we’ve gathered…”

  “Uriah?”

“I recorded Rivera making a deal with your brother. The police can use this evidence to take Rivera down.”

“That’s good. Rivera needs to be stopped.”

“I’m not giving it to them.”

  “What?” he exclaimed. “Why not—”

“If I give them this, then it implicates Cade, too. I won’t let them take your brother down, too.”

“But you have to. You have to get rid of this guy, even if my brother is involved.”

Bryce said it without any hesitation. It was clear what he was feeling. I smiled at him, knowing that he was on my side.

“No,” I said as I shook my head. “I know you’re only saying that because that’s my assignment.”

“I’m saying it because it’s the right thing to do.”

“I know you’re not adamant about taking down your own brother. Even with all of his faults, he’s still who he is. Nothing will change that.”

  “But there’s no other way.”

  Damn.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized how complicated the situation was. The answers weren’t obvious and I didn’t imagine any amount of time would help me find them.

  “Maybe there’s a way,” I said.

  “And what way is that?”

“I don’t know,” I said, shaking my head. “I just… I know there’s a way to get your brother out of this. I just have to…”

The concern in Bryce’s eyes reminded me of everything I was working for. I stopped talking and just smiled at him. The scent of all of the wonderful food filled my nostrils and my stomach rumbled with hunger.

“No,” I said. “I won’t let this case, this situation ruin my time with you. This food is good. Your company is always enjoyable. Let’s just enjoy the rest of the night together, Bryce.”

“I don’t know if I can do that.”

“It’s all weighing on my mind, too. But I know you spent a lot of time on dinner. That’s all I want to think about right now.”

Bryce smiled softly at me and picked up one of the plates. He heaped some of the potatoes onto my plate until it was completely full.

“These are good,” he said. “I think I got the seasoning just right.”

I poked my fork into one of the potatoes and bit into it. All of the flavor on my tongue made my eyes widen in surprise.

“Wow,” I said. “That is good.”

“There’s more where that came from. Help yourself, Uriah.”

“I think I will. Everything is so good… I wonder what you’ve got prepared for dessert…”

  “You’ll find out soon enough.”

He gave me a wink then jabbed another piece of food into his mouth.

I was always in a good mood around Bryce. Even after what happened tonight, things hadn’t changed between us. I wanted to be with him now more than ever. Everything else could wait.

  Chapter 17

  URIAH

  “Oh… That’s it… Right there…”

Bryce moaned with a kind of ecstasy so strong that I worried a bit.

  “Right there… That’s the spot… Don’t stop…”

I couldn’t help but chuckle at his enthusiasm. He writhed on the bed, his eyes closed as he breathed deep breaths.

“Are you sure about this?” I asked.

  “Stop talking… Keep going…”

I sighed and kept laughing as I did as I was told.

Bryce’s nude body on display was something to marvel at. He was an Omega. That was for sure because his stature wasn’t as big as some of the other Alphas and Betas I knew, especially the ones who worked at the station. But Bryce was just as fit as any of them. Lean muscles from his arms down to his legs. Fair skin that was smooth to the touch. It was easy to admire him.

My focus was on his stomach though. The noticeable bulge was another reminder that I truly did get him pregnant that night. Omegas were so fertile when they were in heat and their gestation only proved it.

I rubbed my hand on his belly and gently massaged it.

“You’re certainly enjoying this,” I said.

  “I said stop talking…”

“Unfortunately for you, I have to stop.”

  “What?”

His eyes shot open and he raised his head up. I showed him the empty bottle and he sighed in frustration.

“I knew I forgot to get something when I went out shopping,” he said.

“Don’t worry. You can just get some tomorrow. Is it really that important?”

“It’s more than just feeling good. That cocoa butter keeps my skin smooth and stops it from drying out. You’ve seen how much I’ve grown and it hasn’t been that long. Pregnancies can do a lot to a man’s body.”

“I think I would be just fine with however your stomach ended up.”

“You say that now but you’ll be grateful after I deliver this baby. I’ll get back to the toned stomach you’re used to. It’s only fair considering how fit you are…”

He reached his hand out and trailed his fingers along my abdomen. His touch was delicate, enough to tickle me and make me smile.

/>   “Is that all you see?” I asked. “Just a piece of meat?”

“I do see a piece of meat. That’s true. How tall are you?”

  “I’m 6’3”.”

“Hard, toned muscles. Smooth, tan skin. All of that training at the academy really turned you into something. I guess that’s expected when you’re a cop.”

“Trust me, if you’ve seen some of the officers at the station, you’d change your mind. We don’t all spend our free time in the gym.”

“Then that means I should just be more grateful to have a man as fit as you by my side.”

He leaned forward and kissed me softly on the lips.

“But I see more than that,” he whispered. “I see a man who’s caring. Loyal. Honest and hard-working. More than anything else, a good man. The kind of Alpha I want to raise my child.”

He caressed the side of my face with his palm as we laid in the bed next to one another. The moonlight shining in through the window highlighted his face just enough for me to see him in the darkness of his bedroom. Bryce always had that innocent look in his eyes. The kind of look that made me want to do everything I could for him.

“I feel so useless,” he whispered suddenly.

“What? Why would you say that?”

“You’re out there, chasing a man who’s trying to take over this city. My brother is running the bar and doing everything he can to take care of me. And here I am, sitting around my apartment, just waiting for this baby to come out.”

“You know that you’re more than that, Bryce.”

  “It doesn’t feel like it.”

“You think you’re useless because you’re not running through the streets, beating up thugs and running out of burning warehouses? You’re carrying our child. You have a responsibility to someone. You’ve sacrificed your work. You’ve put your relationship with your brother on the line.”

  “Uriah—”

“What you’ve done so far is more amazing than anything I could ever do.”

He sat up straight and I followed him. He looked away like he was uncertain or embarrassed. It didn’t matter either way. I put my hand on his chin and forced him to look at me.

“You’re incredible, Bryce. The kind of man I always dreamed about being with but gave up on because I didn’t think it was possible. You don’t have to do anything more than what you’re already doing.”

  “…Maybe I should.”

  “What do you mean?”

“I’ll talk to Cade. I’ll tell him what’s at stake. I know that he just needs time to think about it. Once he realizes what he’s getting into, he’ll make the right choice.”

  “Are you sure?”

“He’s my brother. I’ll help him understand. I know I can do it.”

Bryce was so handsome that I couldn’t stop myself. I moved my face forward and kissed him again. My tongue moved between his teeth and found his tongue. A sloppy kiss made the two of us groan into each other’s mouths.

“Everything will be all right,” I whispered. “I promise.”

“I don’t want to think about any of that. I just want to be with you tonight. Make me forget about everything else.”

Another kiss sealed my vow to him better than any words could. I trailed my mouth along his cheek and down his tongue. I licked down his chest and got another gasp out of him.

I slowly moved down his body, kissing his stomach and working toward his waist. His cock was as stiff as a board at this point. I couldn’t look up and see his face over his belly but that didn’t matter. From the way he was moving on the sheets, I knew he was enjoying it all the same.

I licked up the side of his shaft and tasted his tender flesh. He inhaled a sharp breath and his body seized up. Another lick sent another shudder through him. I coated his length until moving my way all the way up to his tip.

I tongued the head of his cock then sealed my lips around him. He might not have been the biggest man but he was more than enough to satisfy me. I lowered my mouth down his hardness and swallowed him whole. I couldn’t help a satisfied moan from coming out of me.

  “Uriah…”

His breaths were already getting heavy. He was breathing so hard and shaking so much and I’d only just begun.

I bobbed my head up and down his cock, licking the underside of his shaft at the same time. Having Bryce’s dick in my mouth only made me want him that much more.

I worked my neck back and forth. Sloppy sucks grew louder and louder. I made a mess of him until Bryce suddenly decided to make an even bigger mess.

  “Oh… Oh, God…”

He cried out and his body seized up. I gently tightened my lips around his shaft as it started to throb with life. Cum spilled out of him and I made sure to get every last drop. His dick kept pulsing. I let Bryce come in my mouth until he was completely spent.

I smacked my lips off of him and licked the remainder of his seed off of him with satisfaction.

Bryce took a moment to catch his breath before sitting up.

“Your turn,” he said as he poked me in the chest.

He pushed me down onto my back and straddled me. The look in his eyes was obvious. The intentions of an Omega wanting to please his Alpha were clear. Right now though, all I wanted was for Bryce to be the boyfriend I was always grateful for.

“Are you sure?” I asked. “I don’t want you to hurt yourself.”

“I’m pregnant,” he said with a laugh. “I’m not injured.”

  “If you insist…”

  “Oh, I insist. I definitely… insist…”

He grabbed my shaft. Just being next to Bryce was enough to make me as stiff as a board. But having his naked body on top of me was enough to make me harder than a rock.

He grabbed my cock and guided it toward his asshole. The heat coming from him was enough to make me twitch. I locked my eyes on his as I pressed my tip to his entrance. He was soaking wet. Another reason for me to be grateful for a man like him.

  “Nice and slow…” I whispered.

I pushed myself inside. Bryce sat down and took me into his ass completely, sitting down on my hilt.

“Oh, God… You feel so good…”

He leaned forward and pressed his hands on my chest. The sight of fit, pregnant man on top of me was like nothing else. Bryce was so handsome that I was ready to burst already.

But Bryce took his time. He slowly rode me, bouncing his ass up… then down… up… then down. Every inch of my shaft rubbed against his slick walls. He was letting all the cum inside of me build up.

I reached my hands out and took his hands into my grip. Our fingers locked together. Sweaty palms weren’t enough to stop me from holding him in position. Bryce kept his eyes closed, concentration on his face and sweat dripping down his brow while he started to increase his pace.

He was pounding his ass against me and impaled himself. The loud sounds of our bodies slapping together joined the mattress squeaking underneath us. The sight of a man as handsome as Bryce on top of me was too much to handle. I couldn’t take it.

  “Bryce… I’m gonna come…”

  “Are you sure?”

  “Yes… Yes, I’m gonna come…”

“Show me… Show me how much you’re going to come for me.”

He started riding me even more furiously. He was moving up and down my shaft like he was desperate to see me come.

My body started to tighten up. I held my breath one last time before losing myself.

  “Damn… Ahh…”

I grunted hard as my orgasm slammed into me. Bryce quickly jumped off of me and wrapped his fist around my length. I looked down and watched as the first spurt of cum gushed out of me. It fired high like a fountain before landing all over my stomach and back on my dick.

“That’s it,” Bryce said as he jerked me. “Come for me.”

Thick contractions pulled even more cum out of me. It drenched his hand and made his strokes slicker than ever. I was helpless to my orgasm. Pulse after pulse of thick, sticky
cum continued to leak out of me and Bryce was doing everything he could to make sure that I didn’t keep a drop to myself.

The painful ecstasy of coming finally started to come to an end. I sank deeper into the mattress. My cock sputtered a few more times and Bryce squeezed the last few drops out of me.

I sighed a deep breath to recover. My body was warm and covered in sweat. My muscles were sore. My vision was a bit blurry. I blinked my eyes and saw the mess I’d made on myself and on Bryce’s hand.

He looked up at me with a mischievous smirk on his face as he held his hand up. Cum dripped from his fingertips.

“You came a lot this time,” he said.

“You always know how to make me come so much.”

“It’s not a surprise that you were able to get me pregnant. I’m surprised my body was able to handle such a load like this.”

“If I remember correctly, it couldn’t. We made quite a mess on the Brickstone floor…”

  “Brickstone…”

Bryce no longer smirked like he just did. I knew that his bar brought back memories of his brother.

  “Sorry,” I said. “I didn’t mean to—”

“It’s all right. We can’t avoid this forever.”

He gave me a confident nod and smiled.

“I’ll talk to Cade. I’ll make him see reason. I’ll get him out of this situation, one way or another.”

  Chapter 18

  BRYCE

There were no easy answers. There were no obvious solutions. And I couldn’t sit back any longer and let the situation play out.

Uriah had done everything he could for me. Cade was determined to go through with this. I knew him long enough to know how stubborn he was. I had to settle this for myself.

I woke up and got ready to head back to Brickstone, more focused than I’d ever been. Uriah was nowhere to be found. I got used to him not being in bed because of his work but there was always a message telling me that he was all right. It gave me more of the confidence I knew I was going to need.

When I got inside my bar, the place was as empty as it usually was during the day. Most of the workers from the docks who visited on break were still at it. Cade had probably shooed away all of the other people trying to scrounge for a free drink.
