  Chapter One

Jane was looking pale, and Angus was worried. She’d needed a hip operation, and although his friend, whom he trusted implicitly, had done the surgery and was very pleased with the result, Jane had not recovered her spirits. Physically she was fine. She was walking well and in no more pain. Angus could see no sign of the return of the bounce in her step and the mischief in her eyes, and he was concerned. He’d tried to speak to her about it, and every time he had broached the subject for the following few days she made a supreme effort to be lively, only to lapse into lethargy again. I have to do something, but what? I can’t stand seeing her like this, but how am I to make her better if she won’t admit there’s anything wrong? Time to have an event, I think. It’s got too cold for a garden party. In any case, I don’t think she’s ready for anything too strenuous yet. Christmas is still two months away, but I’m sure I can organise something she’d like. She loves Christmas, and a fairy-tale castle overlooking a loch is just what she needs. That will get her interested, and all the plans she will have to make and the gifts she will have to buy will leave her little time to brood. He looked up the number online.

“Hello. Angus Scott here. I was wondering if you have any events planned for Christmas this year.”

“It’s odd you should say that. We had a large party book the whole castle over Christmas and Hogmanay, but they just cancelled, so I am afraid we have nothing planned yet.”

“The whole castle is available then to hire?”

  “Indeed it is.”

“Then I will take it. Does the staff go with the castle?”

“Yes, sir, they do. The hire includes the staff and all meals. Do you want it for Christmas and Hogmanay, too?”

The cost made Angus blink a little, but then he thought of the benefit to his Jane, and the cost was immaterial. He agreed they should send him the menus for approval, and he began to plan and made a list of all the friends he’d like to invite. Maybe I ought to hand that side of things over to Jane. Maybe not. I know, I’ll let her think we’re going away alone together, and then when she gets there and all her nearest and dearest are there, she’ll be delighted. Most of their friends were in the lifestyle, so what about that son of hers? Well they wouldn’t be taking the BDSM equipment with them and surely they could keep the truth from him and his wife for ten days or so, if he was able to come. He smiled broadly for the first time for weeks and began to plot. He picked up the phone and began his campaign.

“Lennox, what are you doing for Christmas?”

Lennox laughed. “Hello to you, too, Father. I have no idea. It’s two months to Christmas, and Anna hasn’t even mentioned it.”

“She may not have mentioned it, but she will have ideas of her own, rest assured.”

“Okay, I can ask her. Why do you want to know?”

“Well, you know Jane is still not herself. She pretends for a while when I ask her if she’s doing okay, but soon lapses back into introspection, lethargy, whatever you want to call it.” Angus didn’t want to call it
what he suspected. He was almost certain Jane was depressed. After his experiences with his first wife, he had a horror of the condition, and thinking that his lovely Jane might just be heading that way was too much to bear. He was going to do his level best to shake her out of it, without the aid of anti-depressants.

“Yes, Anna and I had noticed. She makes a great effort when we are there, but the sparkle and bounce is just not in her.”

“Exactly so. Now, she loves Christmas, and by this time she is usually knee-deep in gifts and lists. So far this year she hasn’t said one word about it. That in itself tells its own story. It’s not like her at all. I was thinking that we could organise a surprise for her. I have booked a castle…” He got no further. Lennox burst out laughing.

“Not doing things by halves then?”

“No, son, where she’s concerned, I’d give my whole fortune to have her whole and happy again.” Angus was serious and worried.

At once Lennox replied. “Sorry, Father. Yes I know how you feel about her. So I assume the castle is in the highlands? Wait a minute, not that one?”

“Yes, son, that one. She loves it. We have it on shortbread tins and in cross-stitch pictures on the wall. Every year she buys their calendar. She will love it. If anything can bring her back to me, it’s a big family Christmas up there.”

“I am sure you’re right. I think the only thing that will prevent us is if Anna has made plans with Elsie and Ron.”

“Well, I would love to include both of them. Elsie gets on so well with Jane, and she will mother her out of this blue mood with her Yorkshire common sense.”

“That’s wonderful. Who else are you going to invite?”

“As many as can make it from Prometheus in Chains. Do you have anyone particular in mind?”

“No, but I was planning on popping the question to Anna this Christmas, and I’m a bit nervous. I hope she will accept, but I’m not sure so I’d prefer not to do it in front of a lot of strangers,” Lennox said.

“Don’t worry. The last thing that Jane wants or needs is strangers, just family and close friends.”

“I will speak to Anna, and she can organise Ron and Elsie. They may need a little persuading to travel so far and be in such ‘posh’ company as they would put it.”

“Just explain why we are going. Tell Elsie that Jane needs her and you’ll see she’ll be there like a shot.”

“That’s a great idea. Nothing like helping someone else to get her doing what makes her nervous. She’ll have a great time, too. It’s high time she got spoiled at Christmas instead of doing all the work.”

“My feelings exactly as regards Jane. Let me know as soon as you can. Take care, bye son. I love you.” A year ago Angus had discovered that before they had married his first wife had had a son whom she had given up for adoption. Since Lennox had entered his life and Angus had got to know him and accept him as his, he had never ceased to end every telephone conversation with those three words, sincerely meant.

“I love you, too, Father, take care.” Lennox always called him “father,” “Dad” was his foster parent, Ron. Angus was happy with the arrangement and blessed the day Lennox came into his life. He hoped that Anna accepted the offer and soon he, too, like Jane, would be a grandparent He couldn’t wait to spoil Lennox’s children like Jane spoiled Emma. He consulted his list and went on to make calls to Alexander, Llewellyn, Eric, Rafael, and Prometheus. All of them were surprised, and most knew of no plans, but, Doms though they might be, they well knew not to make Christmas plans without consulting their subs or slaves.

  Chapter Two

Jane was trying very hard to be upbeat and get back to her old self, but it seemed to be beyond her. Master would look at her and ask her what was wrong, and she would deny that anything ailed her. She’d make a supreme effort to be her old self, and though she thought she’d succeeded, she knew she was fooling herself, but not him. I am the luckiest person on the planet. Why am I feeling so low? I have no reason to be unhappy. I hate being like this again. I can’t be depressed again, can I? I can understand that after the death of my first husband it was too much for me and I was depressed, but now? I have a second chance at happiness. I have a man who lives and breathes for me alone. My family is settled and my Emma lives close by. What on earth is wrong with me? Maybe I ought to go and see my doctor? That will mean anti-depressants, and I don’t want to go down that road again. A small voice whispered that maybe, in the end, she would have no choice in the matter, but she ignored it.

She looked up and managed a wan smile as the door opened and Master came in. He came over to her and sat down by her side, taking her hand in his.

“Jane, mo run, I have something to say to you.”

  “What is it, Master?”

“I have decided that this Christmas we shall take a break from the usual. You have no energy to organise all the parties, food, and such here. I want us to go away somewhere together. We will spend a quiet week or two just the two of us. You need a break and so do I. The rest will do us good. Now what do you say?”

Jane fought to control her tears. He’s doing this for my benefit. He wants to give me a break, and I’m selfish to want the usual Christmas. I haven’t done anything to plan it, and I don’t really feel like it. It’s just too much effort. He’s right.

“If that’s what you want to do, Master. I shall be happy. I only want to be with you. Where do you want to go?”

“How about somewhere in the Highlands? I will organise it, and it will be a surprise and part of my Christmas gift to you. Will that make you happy?” he asked anxiously.

Jane felt small and ungrateful. She really didn’t want to be up in the Highlands away from all her family and friends. She knew that her son and his wife were going on a cruise to celebrate their wedding anniversary, and so would not be able to visit them as usual, but she would miss Emma so. She’d never had a Christmas without her. She blinked back the tears of self-pity and straightened her back. She saw that her Master was looking closely at her. He seemed on the point of saying something, but she leaned over and kissed him tenderly, stroking his cheek with her hand.

“I do love you so, and you are far too good to me, Master,” she managed to say in a wobbly voice. He gathered her in his arms and held her close, and she inhaled his beloved scent. Resting her head on his shoulder she fought for control. I will not cry. He’s brought me this gift and why am I so ungrateful. How many women have such a considerate and loving husband? Pull yourself together, woman. You know you can’t organise the usual celebrations this year. You can’t even sit here and talk to him about his plans without bursting into tears. How then, could you plan parties and all the food that needs cooking? Then there’s the house to clean and decorate. No, he’s right. Make the best of it. Most women would jump at the chance of having it all done for them.

  * * * *

When she looked at him in consternation and he watched her fight for control so as not to burst into tears over the loss of her usual Christmas, Angus almost lost it. He was on the point of telling her everything, but then if he had, she’d feel obliged to take over and run it, and that was not what he wanted. He was going to carry this burden for her, and she was going to have the surprise of her life. She would be a bit sad until they sprang the surprise on her, but he well knew she would love what he had planned. He just hoped that the months would fly past in an orgy of buying and wrapping gifts and she wouldn’t be too sad, or he would tell her. He knew he wouldn’t be able to hold out if she was suffering.

“Come, mo run. Don’t cry. I can’t bear to see you cry.”

He tipped up her chin and proceeded to kiss away her tears. She smiled tremulously up at him, and he was lost. His mouth descended on hers and demanded entrance. He pressed her to him, holding her bottom in one hand and the back of her neck in the other. She opened her mouth, and their tongues tangled. He felt himself grow hard, and he growled in his throat. She was delightful. Plump, with generous breasts, she was five nin
e, and six inches shorter than him. She brought out all his protective instincts, and he only had to hold her to desire her. She pushed against him, and her soft belly ground his cock between them. If she does that again, I shall have her here on the sofa. That won’t be good for her.

She pressed herself to him again, grinding his hard cock into her, and the kiss became all consuming. I can’t let myself go. She’s recovering from an operation. I’m not a beast, I must control myself and be considerate. He broke away and carried her over to the sofa. Seating himself he pulled her onto his lap, her back to the sofa arm and her legs on the seats. He pulled her close to him and kissed her more tenderly. With one arm he held her to him and with the other he slowly unbuttoned her blouse. He watched her expressive face as she panted in her arousal. Lifting her bra out of the way, he bent to taste her breasts and sighed in ecstasy. She’s delicious. Her breasts are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen and so sensitive. I love the sounds she makes. She moaned and arched her back, thrusting her ample mounds into his eager mouth. He licked, laved, and suckled until she was writhing and begging.

"Please, Master, please make me come. Fuck me, Master. Fuck me now. I need your hard cock deep inside me.”

Then his hand slipped under her skirt. She wore no knickers, by his order, and his fingers slipped inside moist folds of her pussy. She was always so wet for him. He fucked her with his fingers, stroking over her G-spot and twisting as he withdrew in the way she so loved and her cream coated his fingers. She responded with more moans and little articulate cries, as his stroking drove her toward her orgasm. His thumb connected with her clit now every time his fingers entered her pussy. She was close, so close. Two more thrusts and she shuddered. Her limbs shook and she moaned as she came in his arms. He continued to stimulate her until she flopped against him. He gathered her in his arms and cuddled her close.
