“I’ll be waiting for you in bed,” Bianca said huskily and winked.

Talon’s eyes glowed and she danced away just before he grabbed her. “Go,” she said. “If we get naked now, you’ll never get any work done. We have all night.”

Talon went to the door and gave her a look so full of love and longing she almost melted on the spot. Through the kitchen window, she watched her mate march to the shed and close the door.

Bianca busied herself with chores around the house while she waited for Talon. She did some dusting and vacuuming, and tidied up the living room.

When there was nothing else to do, she made herself a cup of tea and sat down in front of the fireplace.

As she looked around the cozy house, Bianca realized that this was the life she had always dreamed of. She had dreamed of building a loving home with a wonderful, caring man. They would enjoy each other as they looked forward to their future together. Bianca smiled, imagining the pitter-patter of tiny feet around the house.

She glanced out the window at the forest outside. Who would have thought that she would find her happiness in the middle of nowhere?

She would not let anything and anyone get her down. She was done running. No one would stop her from living her life.

She would not stay away from the diner just because of an unstable, volatile witch. She loved her job and she loved her life.

And she loved her mate. “Come to bed soon, Talon,” she whispered. “I’m waiting for you.”

  CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

Bianca pulled Talon into the bedroom once he stepped into the house. He grinned at her. “All done. Boris is going to be one smart-looking broomstick!”

Bianca kissed him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Talon held her close, deepening the kiss until Bianca began clawing at his shirt.

  “Get naked,” she whispered. “Now.”

Talon shed his clothes swiftly and pointed at her. “Your turn,” he drawled.

Bianca winked and crooked a finger. “Come here, big guy. We’re going to shower together.”

Talon’s eyes flashed and he lunged at her. Bianca squealed when he caught her and tore her clothes off.

They tumbled into the shower together and Talon adjusted the water temperature before pulling her under the shower with him.

He eagerly caressed her naked body but Bianca tut-tutted and pinned his hands against the shower tiles.

“Uh-uh,” she said. “I’m going to have my wicked way with you, Talon.”

She reached out and ran her fingers down the length of his huge erection. Talon groaned when she closed her fist around his rock hard cock and started to pump him.

Bianca pressed her mouth to her mate’s broad chest and licked down his gorgeous body. She swirled her tongue around his nipple and smirked when he growled at her.

“Keep your hands on the wall,” she ordered as she trailed her lips down his body.

Bianca dropped to her knees and ran her hands down Talon’s corded thighs. Her mouth watered at the sight of his proud, magnificent cock.

Talon’s eyes rolled back in his head when she pulled his throbbing cock into her mouth. “Bianca,” he rasped. His chest heaved as he dragged rough, tortured breaths into his lungs.

Bianca bobbed her head, sliding her lips along the length of his rigid shaft. She flicked the head with her tongue, licking the drop of precum from his cock.

She closed her eyes and moaned at the taste of her mate. Her body ached and throbbed with need and desire. She just couldn’t get enough of her strong, sexy wolf.

Bianca gripped Talon’s taut buttocks as she swallowed as much of him as she could. She could feel his cock hit the back of her throat and she took a deep breath to relax her muscles so she could take him deeper.

Talon snarled as she increased her pace. He wound his fingers through her hair and held her in place as he fucked her mouth. Bianca raked her nails down his muscular thighs, feeling his muscles tense and bunch as he moved faster and harder.

Roaring her name, Talon released a jet of pearl-white semen into her mouth. Bianca swallowed greedily, loving the taste of her mate.

Talon pulled out of her mouth and shot his seed down her body. Grabbing her, Talon smeared his cum over her breast and nipples.

“I want my scent all over you,” he growled.

Bianca gasped when he spun her round and pinned her against the wall. He pushed one finger into her and growled, “You’re so wet for me.”

Talon licked his finger and gripped her buttocks possessively. He slammed his cock into her and began to fuck her against the wall.

Bianca whimpered with pleasure. This was hot, hard, dirty sex with her mate, and she loved it.

Talon bit her neck as he fucked her. Bianca shuddered and climaxed as he pounded into her.

Talon took her against the wall, on the tiles, and went down on her until she almost passed out.

When she finally opened her eyes, she found herself with her back against her mate’s chest. Talon’s arm was clamped around her waist, holding her as he lovingly soaped her and washed her hair.

His touch was tender and gentle, but the way he teased and caressed her breasts told her that he wasn’t done with her.

Snapping off the water, Talon wrapped a fluffy towel around her and carried her to the bed.

  CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

Talon spread Bianca out on his bed and gazed down at his beautiful mate. Her red hair fanned out on the pillow, and her skin was soft and dewy. Her legs were parted for him, her sweet, pink pussy glistening with her juices.

“The whole night, Bianca,” he growled. “I’m going to have you the whole night.”

Talon pushed his hands under her knees to spread her wider. Hungrily, he laved his tongue down her quivering pussy lips and licked his way up to her clit. He tormented her hard, engorged nub with his tongue and lips, making Bianca gasp and pant.

When he thrust his tongue into her slit, Bianca fisted the sheets and moaned. He fucked her relentlessly with his tongue, taking what he wanted and giving his mate the most intense, toe-curling pleasure.

Talon threw Bianca’s quivering legs over his shoulders and pushed his cock into her. Growling, he watched her body swallow every throbbing inch of him.

“Bianca...” His mate felt so fucking amazing.

Holding her tightly, Talon began to thrust into her. Bianca gripped the headboard as Talon took her furiously.

Her breasts swayed and heaved in time to his thrusts, and the sound of their flesh joining and slapping wetly together filled the room.

Talon snarled when Bianca grabbed him and rolled him onto his back. He was breathing hard, his eyes glowing with lust and anticipation. Pushing his claws into the mattress, he held his ravenous wolf in check. He would cede control to his mate. He would do anything to please his mate. She owned him, heart, body and soul.

Bianca bent down and kissed him long and hard. Their tongues tangled and Talon’s hips jerked involuntarily, driving him deeper into his mate’s luscious body.

Bianca groaned into his mouth and rubbed her puckered nipples against his chest. She kept moving against him, inflaming him and testing his restraint.

Pressing her hands to his chest, Bianca ground down on his cock. She rotated her hips slowly, and her eyes fluttered shut at the incredible sensation. “Oh Talon,” she rasped as her muscles tightened.

She began to move more urgently, riding him faster and harder. Bianca cried out as he leaned forward and suckled her furiously. He kept sucking and nipping at her dark, delicious nipples, growling as his wolf rose. He was so hungry for his mate.

Bianca screamed when he bit down on the swell of her breast. Her body shuddered and clenched as her pleasure crested.

Talon flipped her over on her back and stroked into her. He made Bianca come again and again before he finally took his own release.

Bianca opened her eyes and cupped his face with her hands. “I love you,” she whispered.

  “Say it
again.”

  “I love you, Talon.”

He hugged her fiercely, unable to describe the sheer joy that filled his heart. He had always been a lone wolf, and he avoided forming alliances and ties with anyone. The ties that bind could end up being the noose around your neck. His mother had been killed by her own pack, the pack she had sworn fealty to.

But this bond, this connection to Bianca, wasn’t something he could deny. He would never deny his mate. Bianca was everything to him. She was everything he ever wanted and needed.

“I love you, Bianca,” Talon said hoarsely.

His house now felt like a real home. He was used to working late to complete his projects, but he always returned to a cold empty house. There was never anyone waiting up for him.

It was different now. Finally, he had someone to come home to, someone to hold, love and protect.

  He was home.

  CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

Bianca marched up to Talon and planted her hands on her hips. “You have been sitting here for hours.”

He simply grunted and shifted his weight, but he refused to budge from the booth.

She sighed. Talon had again tried to dissuade her from coming in to work this morning. They had driven to Yaya’s house first thing in the morning and placed the nice, new handle at her doorstep. Those thorny bushes had parted to let Talon through, so Talon had knocked on the door and called out that he was delivering a new handle for Boris.

When Talon got back to the truck, he had wanted to turn around and drive Bianca straight home, instead of dropping her off at the diner. He had grumbled and sulked, and had been reluctant to let her out of the truck. Finally, when he saw that there was absolutely nothing he could do to change her mind, he had walked into the diner with her and stayed the whole morning. He didn’t move even after the lunch crowd came and left.

Bianca knew that Talon was worried but there really was nothing to worry about. “I’m safe here, Talon,” she said gently. “I’m working. It’s business as usual.” She gestured around the diner. There were a few patrons in the diner, drinking their coffee and lounging around after lunch.

Things were rather quiet in the diner today, which wasn’t a surprise.

“Look around. It’s just the regulars. All familiar faces. Nothing’s going to happen to me,” Bianca said.

Talon narrowed his eyes. “She might come back.”

“Sariah?” Bianca shook her head. “No, I don’t think so. Carly said that Yaya came and cast a protective spell around the diner last night. Anyone with magic in their blood will be repelled. So witches can’t come in. That’s why we’re having less customers today, but Carly and Nelson don’t mind. They said it’s better to be safe than sorry.”

“I agree. I’ll stay here until it’s time for you to knock off,” Talon said stubbornly.

Carly walked past with a pot of coffee and beamed at him. “More coffee? How about some pancakes, Talon? Nelson just...”

Bianca stopped her from refilling Talon’s cup. “No, Carly. No more coffee. Talon’s just leaving.”

“I am?” Talon raised his brows at her.

“Yes,” she said firmly. “You have work to do. I know you promised to finish that table for Mr and Mrs Johnson. And you have new orders coming in. I know you’re busy, Talon. Don’t waste your time sitting here, twiddling your thumbs.”

  “I’m not...”

Bianca hauled him up by the arm. “I’ll be fine.” She huffed. “Go, be productive. The world needs a good carpenter. Go on. Come and fetch me at the usual time, okay? I love you!” She gave him a peck on the cheek and shoved him out the door.

Carly stifled a laugh as she watched Talon trudge sulkily to his truck. He sat in his truck and glared at the diner until Bianca waved him off impatiently.

“I bet he’s going to come back,” Carly said, watching Talon drive off.

Bianca rolled her eyes. “I know he loves me, but this is ridiculous! I’m here at the diner, working. I’m not in any danger.” She blew out a breath. “And Talon has his own deadlines too. He can’t just drop everything and sit here the whole day.”

Carly grinned. “Nelson didn’t want me to come in today either. He said he can cook and serve the food himself, no problemo!”

“They think they’re supermen,” Bianca laughed. “They want to be everywhere at once, and do everything themselves.”

The two women chuckled and chatted a bit more before going back to work.

The next two hours went by rather uneventfully. A few patrons came and left. Overall, it was a rather slow day at the diner.

Bianca was wiping down the tables when she saw Talon across the road. He was leaning against a tree, his eyes fixed on the diner.

Bianca frowned. “That big stubborn wolf,” she muttered. The diner was empty and Carly had gone to the back. Bianca untied her apron and hung it on a hook by the counter.

“Carly, Nelson,” she called. “I’m just stepping out for a while, okay? I’m going to talk to Talon.”

Bianca crossed the road quickly and hurried up to Talon. He pushed himself off the tree and blinked at her.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, jabbing a finger into his chest. “Don’t you have work to do?”

He looked around quickly, scanning the surroundings.

“Stop it,” Bianca scolded. “There’s no danger around.”

Talon shook his head. “You need to come with me,” he said tightly.

  “What?” Bianca frowned. “Why?”

Talon uttered three words. “The black wolves.”

Bianca’s eyes widened as her hands turned clammy. She remembered those savage black wolves who had chased her through the woods.

Talon hadn’t mentioned them again since that first night. He didn’t want to remind her of her horrific ordeal and upset her. It was over, and she thought that those black wolves wouldn’t bother them anymore.

“They’re back?” Bianca gulped. “Did they attack you?”

  Talon didn’t reply.

“We have to go now,” he said, grabbing her wrist.

  “B-but...”

  “Now!”

Bianca stuttered as he pulled her towards a small car and opened the door. “W-where’s your truck? Where did you get this car?”

“Get in,” he said, pushing her into the car. He got in and locked all the doors before starting the engine.

Bewildered, Bianca stared around the small car. “Whose car is this? Is this a rented car? What happened to the truck?”

Talon kept his eyes on the road and floored the pedal. Bianca paled as the car turned the corner on squealing tires and hurtled towards the other end of town.

“What’s going on, Talon? Talk to me,” she pleaded. “You...you’re scaring me.”

  CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX

Bianca gripped the seat as Talon sped down street after street, his expression grim and determined. She had never been to this part of the town before. It was less populated, and the houses and shops were spaced farther and farther apart until finally the last crumbling building fell away into the distance behind them.

In front of them was just a badly paved road that seemed to lead out of town and into the wilderness beyond.

“Talon,” Bianca cried. “Please, tell me what’s going on. Where are we going?”

She looked around with wide, frightened eyes. Talon’s maniacal driving had terrified her. The car turned out onto a dirt road and slowed down.

Were they stopping here? Why had he driven her out here? There was nothing but trees and tall grasses around.

Finally, she saw a dilapidated building in the distance. It looked like an old abandoned barn.

Bianca turned to Talon and opened her mouth, but her words were lodged in her throat. She stared at the shimmering air around Talon and saw his features move and change.

  “Glamour,” she whispered.

Talon flashed his eyes to her. Bianca gasped when she saw the pinpoint of red in his gray eyes.
>
  “You...you’re not Talon.”

Horrified, Bianca watched the red bleed across his iris. She made a shocked sound of recognition as she stared at those blood red eyes.

Bianca stared at the hands on the steering wheel. Those hands were shrinking, becoming thin and wrinkled. Dark spots appeared on the crinkly, papery skin.

The wavy, brown hair on his head kept receding until he became a bald, hunched, skeletal woman.

“Sariah!” Bianca choked out. “You! What...what’s happening? What are you doing? Just where...”

The witch threw her a venomous glance. “Shut up!”

Bianca turned and tried the door. “Stop the car! Let me out right now.”

  “Keep quiet! We’re almost there.”

“Where?” Bianca’s eyes rounded in panic. “Where are you taking me?”

Sariah’s thin lips twisted in a sadistic smile. “I did warn you, you know. I told you to mind your own goddamn business. It doesn’t pay to cross a witch, foolish human.”

Bianca wrenched desperately at the door handle. “Stop the car, Sariah! You...”

Sariah smiled as the barn loomed up. “It seems I’m not the only one you’ve offended, Bianca. You’re new in town, yet you seem to have a penchant for stirring up trouble.”

“What are you talking about?” Bianca said, her blood running cold.

  “The black wolves.”

Bianca turned and saw three black wolves emerge from the barn. They stalked towards the car as Sariah slowed the car to a stop.

“Don’t stop now. These wolves are dangerous! Go!” Bianca shrieked. “Keep driving! We have to get out of here. Drive, Sariah! Come on!”

But Sariah killed the engine and smiled.

She turned to Bianca and said, “You wanted to get out of the car? Here’s your stop, Bianca.”

“No...” Bianca said in a terrified whisper. “No, you can’t...”

“Oh yes I can.” Sariah opened the car door and stepped out. “Cliff Woodrow paid me to deliver you here.”
