“You did with Mallory.”
“Only because she already knew from Kristen. I didn’t go telling tales out of school.”
“Look, Kris will kill me if I tell.”
“Pussy whipped,” I say before taking a drink of beer.
Snorting out a laugh, he replies, Like you’re any better.”
“True story, bro. But we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Smiling to each other, we clink our beer bottles in a toast.
“Jason, Jason! Get up!” Waking up, I can feel her shaking me. Like it’s going to make me get up faster. But her excitement is contagious.
“Why? It’s early still.”
“If you make us late to the airport, I’ll kick your ass. Hurry up.”
Feigning a yawn, I sit up, stretching my arms over my head. When she places her hands on her hips and looks up at the ceiling for what I can only assume is patience, I make my move. Wrapping my arms around her, I pull her on top of me and lay back down.
“Jason!”
“Babe, it’s only five in the morning. As long as we leave by six-thirty, we will make it with plenty of time.”
“Bu—”
“Even with traffic. I know how much you have been looking for to this. I already have the driver ready to pick us up at six-thirty. Relax.”
With the exasperated look on her face, I pull her to me and kiss her.
“We have everything packed. All we need to do is get dressed, grab the bags, and hit the door.”
“Okay,” she huffs out, and it makes me laugh. When she wiggles her hips on top of me, other things come to life. As soon as she feels me hardening against her thigh, she stills. Our lips meet, softly at first, then with increasing fervor. Hauling my shoulders off the mattress, I sit up, never breaking contact with her mouth. Grabbing the hem of my shirt that she’s wearing, I let her up for air when I sweep it over her head. Rolling her over, I lean down, pulling one of her nipples into my mouth. My hands run down her hips, pulling the skimpy things she calls panties down along the way. My mouth travels down her chest, to her belly. My tongue circling her belly button with my tongue, I steadily draw her panties down her toned legs. Sitting on my knees, I pull the lace free from her dainty feet. Pushing her thighs wide, I dive in to feast. Licking her from her core to her clit, paying special attention to that little nub until her back arches and she raises her pussy to my face. When I feel the tremors in her legs start, I thrust two fingers into her wet core. As soon as I reach the webbing of my finger, she cries out and clenches around me. Rearing back, I place my cock at her entrance and thrust home. I can feel her clenching around me. Knowing I won’t last long, I begin to hammer into her, drawing out her orgasm until I empty myself into her. Lying to her side, I rest my head on her chest as I catch my breath. One of her hands rubs leisurely up and down my back.
“Now that’s the way to get me moving,” I tell her, placing a kiss on her chest. “You want the shower first? I’ll make coffee.”
“And that’s why I love you.”
“You just love me for my doggy style.” My head bounces with the force of her laughter.
“I can’t believe you just said that, you perv! But I do love that too. Now, get off me so I can shower.”
“Yes, ma’am. Just leave me some hot water.”
Arriving at the airport with fifteen minutes to spare, my girl can’t sit still. Maybe that coffee wasn’t a good idea after all. We get through checking our bags and security before we sit down at our gate, waiting for the others to arrive.
One by one, or by the couple, depending on who it is, our group trickles in. Kristen and Camryn have the same enthusiasm as Mallory while I think us guys are just dreading the ten-hour flight. The girls start giggling as soon as they all get within reach of each other.
“Are they going to do this the whole trip?” Isaac asks as he walks up to Derek and me.
“I bet they will. Mallory woke me up at five this morning. Hell, we didn’t go to sleep until after one. I don’t know where she has the energy.”
“I don’t know what time Kristen got up. I woke up at six, and she had everything by the door, breakfast made, and was ready to walk out the door.”
“We got good seats, right? We’re not stuck in economy, are we?” Isaac whines.
“No, we’re all in business class. I think we took up the whole section with everyone coming.”
“Derek, have you met her parents before this?” I ask
“In person? No. We’ve Skyped when they’ve been available. They aren’t stateside very often.”
“What is it her father does again?”
“He’s an ecological scientist working with Yale. He travels to foreign countries to study the land—how pollution and global warming are affecting the environment.”
“Isaac, are your parents coming?”
“No, they’re not going to be able to make it. If they can’t drive, they won’t go. Both are terrified of flying. They headed up to my brother’s in Washington.”
“Would you have rather gone up there?”
“And miss the sunshine and beaches? Not to forget all the hot chicks in bikinis.”
Seeing the way he keeps glancing over at the girls, I have to ask, “Is that the only reason? Or one particular hot chick?”
“No, it’s not the only reason. But that’s a situation I don’t know what to do about.”
“What’s the issue?”
“Besides her not giving me the time of day?”
“That is a big problem. Maybe this little vacation will force Camryn to spend some time with you.”
“What’s her deal? Usually, the chicks are falling all over you,” Derek inquires.
“That’s her deal. My past is coming back to bite me in the ass. She doubts I’m telling her the truth about just wanting to be with her.”
“All you can do is be the man you want to be for her. Not the man she wants. Don’t change yourself for her, do it for you. If you mean no more groupies or random sex, you need to show her. Not just tell her.”
“How can I show her when she won’t even stay in the damn room with me?”
“Maybe this trip will be the opportunity you need.”
“God, I hope so. I’m tired of her running. All I want is a chance to prove I’m the man for her. Is that too much to ask?”
Assuming he’s asking a rhetorical question, I say nothing and glance back at the girls. Each of them are looking at us questioningly.
“Hey, ladies, I’m going to hit the store for some snacks. Anything y’all would like? It’s a long ass flight.”
After each of them rattles off a list a mile long, Derek and I head to the nearest store, which is a good distance away. The state of Massachusetts would fit inside this airport.
“What did you get Mallory for Christmas?” he asks as we skirt around a group of people standing the middle of the walkway.
“Season tickets for the Dallas Cowboys, a new pair of shoes she’s been wanting but refuses to buy, and a ring.”
I get a good ten feet away before I realize Derek is not walking beside me. Turning, I see him just standing there with his mouth hanging open.
“What’s wrong with you?”
Stepping toward me, he whisper-yells, “A ring? You got her a ring?”
“Yes. Why does this surprise you?”
“I just…I guess…well, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.”
“When y’all mentioned this trip, I thought it would be romantic to ask her on the beach either at dawn or sunset.”
“What day were you planning on asking her?”
“I thought Saturday.” At the sick look on his face, I’m worried. “What the hell is wrong with you?”
“Shit, I guess I’ll tell you now since you’ve dropped this bomb. Kristen and I are getting married. Friday night.”
“You’re shitting me!”
“No. We wanted it to be a surprise. No media hoopla. The only ones who know are me, Kristen, a
nd Melody. Y’all are supposed to find out Friday. There is a trip to the spa scheduled for the girls, and we are supposed to go fishing.”
“Son a bitch. Well, I guess I’m either doing it the night when we arrive or Friday morning. I don’t want Mallory to think this was an after-thought for me.”
“That’s why I told you. But you can’t let on that you know anything about this. Kris will kill me for letting the cat out of the bag.”
“Mums the word.” I mime closing the zipper across my lips.
After dropping over a hundred dollars on snacks, Derek and I make our way back to the gate. Just as we reach the girls, the overhead speaker announces it’s time to board.
“Let’s get this show on the road.”
After being stuck inside a tin can for ten hours, I had never been so happy to be back inside an airport. Halfway through the flight, even the girls lost some of their enthusiasm. Thank goodness for technology. I had enough movies downloaded to my iPad to watch for days. And Mallory loaned her Kindle to Camryn, who had forgotten hers.
But when the pilot announced we were half an hour from landing, they sure seemed to perk right back up. Their enthusiasm is contagious as they start talking about everything they want to do when we land.
“Derek,” I ask as we gather up the luggage, “are we going to be able to check in this early since it’s the butt crack of dawn here?”
“Yes, Melody made sure we could go straight from the airport to the hotel without any issues. When we arrive, we are supposed to be having breakfast.”
“This time change is going to be a killer.”
“We’re young. We’ll live.” He chuckles.
“Not all of us are. You do remember we have parents here, right?”
“That’s what naps are for. Have you decided when you are going to pop the question?” he whispers.
“I’m thinking tonight. I need some help scoping out the perfect place to do it. And I need to figure out what time sunset it is. I want it to be special for her.”
“Didn’t realize you were such a romantic, Jason.”
“After all she’s been through over the past few years, she deserves it.”
“You’re a good man.”
Loading into the waiting vehicles, we set off for the hotel. Let the adventure begin.
Everything has been set up. After speaking with the concierge, he directed the guys and me to the perfect place to pop the question and had the hotel set the stage for romance. Fiddling with the box in my pocket, I set out to find the woman I love. The keeper of my heart. The mother of my future children. The one I want by my side for all time.
“Babe, you ready?”
“Where exactly are we going?” she asks as she walks out of the bedroom.
For a second, I can’t answer as I drink in the vision she makes. She’s braided her long, dark hair and it’s lying over her shoulder, the tip resting on top of her breast. She's wearing a sexy little deep pink dress with little straps that skim her body, stopping mid-thigh and showing off her toned legs. On her feet are gold sandals.
“Jason?”
“Huh? Oh, I thought it would be nice to watch the sunset from the beach. But we need to hurry.”
“Then move your butt, mister.” She moves toward the door to the beach, slapping my ass as she passes.
Chuckling, I reply, “Yes, ma'am,” and hurry after her.
Taking her hand, I lead her toward the area the hotel set up for me. Rounding the boulder separating it from the rest of the beach, I smile when I hear her breath catch. Hundreds of candles line the area, flickering with the slight breeze. There is a small blanket lying in the middle and a picnic basket and metal bucket with a bottle of champagne nestled in ice. Waves gently lap at the shoreline as the big pinkish, red sun seems to disappear into the sea.
Walking over to the blanket, I help her take off her sandals before stepping on it. Sliding off my shoes, I stand beside her. Dropping her hand, she spins around to take everything in, and I drop to one knee, box in hand.
“Oh, Jason, it’s so beautiful.”
“It doesn’t compare to you.”
Spinning around with a smile on her face, she says, “You big flir—”
When she sees me on bended knee, the ring box in my hand, her eyes go wide, and she moves her hand over her heart.
“Mallory Ann Stephens, would you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?” Holding my breath, I wait for her answer.
The tears tracking down her face are concerning, but when her head starts nodding up and down, I can breathe again. Taking the ring out of the box, I slide it on her finger, praying it fits.
I hear the clicking of the camera from somewhere behind us, but it escapes her notice that we're not alone. The hotel graciously offered to photograph this for us, but I know I will never need a photograph to remember this day.
Mallory
Waking up with Jason’s arms wrapped around me feels like a dream. Glancing down at the ring on my finger, the early morning sunlight glinting off the diamond, reminds me it was real. Last night could not have been more perfect. I tear up a little just thinking about how much effort he had to put into making the night special. The spectacular sunset, the picnic…it was the most romantic thing I had ever seen. And when I saw him down on one knee with that box in his hand, everything was right in my world.
We stayed out there on that blanket talking and kissing until long after the sun went down.
After we left the beach, we ran into Derek and Kristen, then Isaac and Camryn, before heading back to our hut. When we arrived, I thought we would be staying in a luxurious hotel on the island. What we got was so my much more. Our huts, which don’t even begin to describe the luxuriousness of the place, are on stilts in the clear, turquoise waters. There is a wooden bridge that spans from the white, crystalline beach to each hut. Our party occupies three of the huts while the rest of our family is in the main hotel.
Luckily, they are spaced far apart, because I’m sure two were rather loud last night. I chuckle, the thought bringing a smile to my face. Whoever decided Isaac and Camryn should share a cabin was either a genius or certifiably crazy. It was rather convenient that Camryn’s room was not available due to a maintenance issue and there were no other rooms for her to stay in.
At least Isaac will get to do what he’s been wanting to do: spend uninterrupted time with Camryn. She’s been avoiding him like the plague since this summer, and her feelings for him, but maybe it’s time for her to face her fears.
“What are you smiling about?” the sleep-roughened voice asks from behind me.
“Everything. Are you sure this is real? I’m not dreaming?”
“I can pinch you to make sure.” The sting on my ass makes me yelp in surprise before he places a kiss on the back of my shoulder.
“How about we go get some breakfast?”
“I can think of something else I'd rather eat for breakfast,” he says as he starts to take playful bites of my skin.
“I need real food before you feed any more of your carnal appetites.”
“Fine,” he huffs out.” You want room service?”
“Can we go sit at one of the tables overlooking the ocean?” I ask, fluttering my lashes.
“Of course. Now, hurry up. If you’re going to deny me what I want to eat, I need real food too.” With one last kiss on my shoulder, he climbs out of bed before shimmying a pair of shorts up over that magnificent ass.
After jumping in a quick shower, I braid my hair again, and put on my royal blue sleeveless maxi dress and the Gladiator sandals I wore last night after shaking out half the beach I brought back.
Jason comes out wearing a pair of jeans that mold to his ass and thighs and a tight, dark red t-shirt.
“Jeans, really?”
“I’ll change before we head out this afternoon. What time are you and the girls supposed to meet?”
“Our appointment with the spa is at two. We’re meeting for an early lunch and
a swim around eleven.”
“Make sure you wear plenty of sunscreen. You don’t want to be a lobster the rest of the trip and be miserable.”
“You be careful too. Y’all are the ones who are going to sitting on a boat in the middle of the ocean for hours.”
Lying on the chase lounger, sipping a fruit drink and soaking up the sun’s warm rays, can life get any better?
Camryn is lying on one side of me, and Kristen on the other. The waiter comes back by to deliver another round of drinks and some snacks. He told us earlier we needed to stay hydrated and had been making sure we have been drinking water in between the drinks. I think he just wants to check out all the sun-kissed skin.
“Are we ready to get in the ocean? It’ll be a shame if we let all of this beautiful water go to waste,” I point out before sipping my drink.
“Hell yeah. We have about an hour before we need to head up to the spa for our makeovers,” Kris replies as she stands up, removing her hat and throwing it on the lounger.
“Makeovers? I thought we were doing massages and facials?” I ask as we walk into the water. I glance back to see Camryn is still sitting in the same spot. “Camryn, are you coming?”
“Uh yeah. Just give me a second,” she replies, fidgeting with her cover-up.
“The fish won't bite! What exactly are we having done today?”
“Massages, facials. Also, we’re getting our hair and makeup done.”
“No mani-pedi? And why hair and makeup?” I ask as we wade into the warm, salty water.
“It’s for tonight,” she answers cryptically.
“Spill it, Kris. Whatever is going on tonight, you need to let us in on.”
“Okay, as soon as Cam moves her ass!” she yells back at the beach when we realize Cam has made no moves toward the water. “And take off the cover-up. You won’t have anything dry to put back on.
“Fine,” Cam huffs out before pulling the white top over her head.
As we watch the top clear her head, all I can think is that her already big boobs are humongous in her tankini. She slowly makes her way to us in the water.
