HATE ME: a bad boy romance novel Page 24

by Jaxson Kidman

For me, I had time to come up with another app. Victoria was taking a long vacation somewhere warm. That meant with all the time open it was just me and Mason together. He let me read all the letters to Kate. He didn’t talk much about her, but I understood what she meant to him.

Putting the pieces of the puzzle together was hard, but when he was naked, it was so well worth whatever happened.

Mason grabbed me and pulled me close. He kissed me wildly and then started to smile.

  “What’s so funny?”

“Just thinking about everything. Someone is going to be moving into that apartment next door. I feel bad for them.”

  “Why?”

“I plan on spending every possible second fucking you. The noises… oh, shit, we’re going to get kicked out of here.”

“Good,” I said. “Let’s make it a goal. Let’s get kicked out of here. We have money. We can do anything we want.”

“Look at you,” he said. “Turning all wild and dirty.”

“Speaking of wild and dirty… according to my watch it’s been almost eight hours since you were inside me.”

  “No way,” Mason said.

  “Way.”

Mason scooped me up and I wrapped my legs around him. “We can’t let that stand. Hey, when I’m done fucking you, I’m going to carry you to the bathtub. I’m going to fill a tub with hot water and candles.”

“You don’t have candles,” I said.

“You do. And all your shit is here. I’ll find candles.”

  “Okay, sorry. Keep going.”

“You’re going to take a hot, relaxing bath. And then we’re going out on a date.”

  “A date?”

“I’m taking you to the restaurant where we met,” Mason said with a grin.

  “You were arrested there.”

  “I know.”

  “That’s crazy.”

“We’re going to order a ton of food, drink, and get kicked out of there.”

“We can’t dine and dash,” I said. “We’ll get arrested.”

“We’re not going to dine and dash,” Mason said. “We’ll pay. Then we leave, come back here, and I’m going to put you on the counter. Strip your clothes off. Spread your legs. And you get to be my dessert.”

I kissed Mason. I bit at his bottom lip. “Want to know the best part of being an adult?”

  “What’s that?”

“You can have dessert before dinner,” I whispered.

  Mason grinned.

Fuck, those dimples were going to be the death of me.

He spun me around and walked me to the counter. He did everything he said he would. Stripping me, devouring me, his wild tongue resting between my legs, moving in any and all directions. I was a mess for him, clawing at his head, pulling him tighter to my slit when I came. He savored every last drop I had to offer him and then he left me on the counter when he walked away.

I fell back and just rested there, my legs numb.

“When I come back for you, you better be ready,” he said.

“Trust me,” I said. “I’m ready.”

I laughed. It was like a drug high. Mason could take all the pain away. It was his gift to me.

I caught my breath and slowly climbed off the counter. My jeans and panties were balled up on the floor. I grabbed them, no intention on putting them back on. I was going to go have my dessert now. Swallow him down until he could only make feral animal sounds.

Then we could figure out the rest of the day and the rest of our lives.

I made it two steps when there was a knock at the door. I froze and reminded myself I was naked from the waist down. I scrambled to get presentable. The manager of the apartment was supposed to be meeting me at some point to go through and make sure I hadn’t caused any damage. I thought that’s who it was.

  The knocking sounded again.

  “Hold on,” I said.

Mason then appeared in the doorway to the bedroom, naked.

“Wait,” I said. “Someone’s at the door.”

“I’ll start without you,” he teased.

  “I hate you,” I said.

  “I know you do.”

I grabbed the door and opened it. I was going to throw the first excuse I could so I could get into the bedroom with Mason.

All excuses were stripped away when I saw a woman standing in the hallway.

  “Hello?” I asked.

“Hello to you,” she said. “Where is he?”

  “Who?”

  “Mason.”

  “I’m sorry… who are you?”

“Please, I’m not playing any games.”

  “I don’t understand.”

“I assume he only told you pieces of his past,” the woman said.

  “His past…?”

  “Just tell him I’m back.”

  “And who are you?”

The woman looked me up and down and curled her lip. Then she spoke three words that made the world drop out from under me. “I’m his wife.”

  NOT QUITE THE END.

  From Jaxson…
