“Oh dear, I hope this won’t be a repeat of the birthday celebration,” his friend said.

“For your information, I am very sober.”

“Let him have some fun,” Summer said, cuddling up to Seamus.

“I wish I could fuck you tonight,” Seamus whispered in her ear.

“Patience, dear Seamus,” she said, snuggling closer to him. “Put another log on the fire.”

“How I would love to!” A broad smile caressed his face.

“It’s the fire over there that’s going out,” she replied, getting up to fetch another bottle of wine.

The conversation went back to the island of Bali and what Josh had seen and done there, when they suddenly heard Summer scream.

  “What on earth…”

The three men rushed out into the foyer to see what the problem was. Summer was standing and staring at her image in the place where David Balsam’s portrait once hung.

“So that’s what you were doing upstairs!” she exclaimed.

  “Do you like it?”

“When did you paint it? This is totally a surprise.”

“A reminder of Tahiti and always seeing the face of the woman I love,” Seamus said.

“I want one of those,” Toby said. “I want the same reaction when Josh enters the apartment and sees his painting hanging on my wall.”

Summer continued to stare at the painting. What would David Balsam say if he could see that he no longer held a place of prominence in his son’s home?

“Oh, Seamus,” she said, hugging and kissing him.

“You can thank me later,” he said, tweaking her cheek.

“Would you mind if I called it a night?” asked Josh. “I had quite an early start this morning.”

“Of course not,” Seamus replied. “It’s after one, and we should also be getting to bed.”

“Let’s all clean up and then go to bed,” Toby said, picking up the glasses from the coffee table.

“We can do that tomorrow,” Seamus said, holding Summer’s hand and heading for the stairs.

“No, we are all cleaning up tonight. You are not getting away. Tomorrow morning we won’t have to face a mess,” Summer said.

With the others teasing him, Seamus returned and helped to put things in order. “Do you like Italian food?” Seamus asked.

  “We both do,” Josh replied.

“Tomorrow evening we’ll go out for dinner. This was really a fun evening. We should do it again soon,” said Seamus.

“That’s a great idea,” Summer chimed in. “Yes, let’s do it again soon.”

“Goodnight children,” shouted Toby. “See you early tomorrow morning.”

“Not too early,” Seamus shouted back. “Summer needs her beauty sleep.”

  Chapter Twelve

“Come here,” Seamus said, sitting on the edge of the bed totally naked.

He pulled Summer onto his lap, and his hand roamed around under her pajama top.

“Uhhh,” he groaned, his eyes closed. “That feels so good.”

“That was really sweet of you. I really love the painting,” she said, smiling.

“How do you plan to thank me?” he asked, massaging her breasts.

“I have a week to think about it,” she replied.

“What about tonight? I really need to feel you tonight, Summer. Do you still have your period?”

“Yes I do, but you will think of something.”

“Like what?” he asked, staring expectantly at her.

“You’ve never had a problem with your vivid imagination. You know that!”

She could feel his erection rising, pushing against her leg, and she moved against it, teasing him. He closed his eyes and fell back onto the bed.

“This is alive,” she said, gently stroking it.

“Yes. Keep doing that and I won’t be held responsible for what happens. He likes it.”

“Does he really?” she asked, watching him.

“He loves it. Lie next to me, Summer.”

His hand wandered down the bottom of her pajamas, and she sighed deeply when his fingers met her erect clit.

  “So good,” he groaned.

“I love you,” she whispered. “I want to make you happy.”

“You make me happy,” he said, his voice barely audible. “I just want to be inside you.”

“I’ll make you so happy, you’ll forget about being inside me, Seamus.”

He held her head in his hands and looked deeply in her eyes.

“I never thought I could love anyone as much as I love you. When you walked into my life, I was looking for a quick fuck, but you changed all that. Now I find myself hopelessly hooked on you.”

“Hopelessly?” she asked, squeezing his erection.

“Yes, I am hopelessly in love and so is he,” he said, pressing his erection into her palm.

  “I’ll also make him happy.”

She slithered to the edge of the bed, still stroking him, and with every stroke, it lifted its head higher and higher. He became aroused at the sight of her, with his delicious cock in her hand, and moved his hand down to cover hers. She moved his hand away and moved his cock to her mouth. Her mouth felt full. Full of delicious goodness! He cradled her face lovingly and affectionately.

“Why don’t we ask George to join us?” he asked, barely able to speak.

She did not reply for he was way too deep down her throat. He explored the inside of her mouth, bucking until he could feel the ripples in the roof. Their eyes met. Hers were heavy with lust, and his seemed to beg for more satisfaction. It was pure, raw pleasure.

“Let me get George,” he said, easing his cock out of her mouth.

She was still kneeling by the side of the bed when he returned, holding George in one hand and pumping his erection with the other. After a quick visit to the bathroom, she was ready to face the onslaught. She removed her pajama bottom and crawled into bed beside him. He teased her clit while he continued to pleasure himself. Erotic, sensual heat filled the room as they both sought to devour each other.

“I want you, Seamus,” she cried out.

“Yes, my sweet,” he said, circling her clit with his thumb. “I’m going to give you everything you desire.”

He turned George on and slowly eased it into her throbbing, wet sex. She felt the sense of fullness and the titillation of George moving around inside her. He moved to his knees and fed her gently with his delicious thick cock.

“I’m going to make you come,” he said as he pushed his erection deeper into her throat.

  She groaned.

“I can’t wait to slip my cock into your sweet pussy, Summer.”

Her body jerked and she sucked harder on his cock.

“I know you like George, but I would prefer to fuck you myself.”

  She sucked even harder.

“Is George doing a good job?” he asked, staring down as her lips continued to violate him.

“Uhhh!” she groaned, sucking her cheeks in and filling his body with seething passion.

He thrust his hips forcefully toward her mouth, and she groaned.

“Touch your clitoris,” he said as his hand kneaded her breast, causing her body to tremble.

He watched closely as her hand delved between her thighs and she fondled herself.

“Yes,” he called out. “I love to see you do that.”

His body moved faster and he jerked his cock in and out of her mouth.

“I’m coming,” he said, as he clenched his jaws and threw his head back.

His body broke into spasms and he filled her mouth with his salty juices, holding onto her head as hot spasms tore through his convulsing body.

“I’m so sorry,” he said, his fingers moving slowly up and down her cleft.

His thumb formed circles on her throbbing clit, while George continued to fill her walls with sensuous vibrations.

“I want to feel my cock deep inside you,” he whispered, his voice oozing heavily with his arousal.r />
  “Me, too,” she said breathlessly.

“I want to lick you,” he said, increasing the speed of the circles.

She pulled him down to her and shoved her tongue deep inside his mouth. Her body stiffened for a moment, then her hips moved upward. She came with violent thrusts and sank exhausted onto the bed. Seamus looked lovingly at her, caressing her face and kissing her.

“Don’t move,” he said, getting up and heading for the bathroom.

He returned and slowly removed George, and cleaned her body.

“You are exhausted,” he said. “I’ll save the rest for tomorrow.”

The smell of freshly brewed coffee was infiltrating throughout their bedroom. Summer turned over and looked around. Seamus was still beside her, but he was fast asleep. She looked at the bedside clock. It was nine fifteen and the two young men, it seemed, were preparing breakfast.

“It’s after nine,” she whispered in Seamus’s ear.

He turned over on hearing her voice and stared at her. He pulled her to him and hugged her.

“Can you smell the coffee?” she asked. “I think they are making breakfast. Let’s get up and have a shower.”

He sat on the edge of the bed and ran his fingers through his hair. He stood up, yawned, stretched, and headed for the bathroom. After a quick shower, they went down to the dining room.

“Good morning,” Josh said as he saw the two of them. “I hope you don’t mind. I have started breakfast.”

“Feel free to do whatever you want,” Seamus said. “The coffee smells good.”

“I’ll get you a cup. Toby went back to the bedroom to pick up something and I think he got lost.”

“In a house this size, no wonder I get lost,” said Toby, overhearing the comment. “I could get used to this lifestyle,” he said. “Isn’t it beautiful outside? No cars, no buses, and best of all, no people.”

The men sat down at the table while Summer heated and brought in Millie’s muffins, jam, honey, and cheese.

“The rolls are still in the oven, and the eggs are on the stove,” she said, picking up her coffee cup. “Did you sleep well?”

“Very well. I’ll be back next week,” said Toby.

“I think we should go for a drive after breakfast,” Seamus said. “You don’t know this area. Let me show you how beautiful it is around here.”

After breakfast, they piled into the SUV and set out in the direction of Port Collier.

“That’s where we had dinner,” Toby said to Summer.

“And that’s where we will have dinner again tonight,” Seamus replied.

Past Port Collier, they drove past picturesque little villages on the way, stopping at little antique shops. After a quick lunch at a seafood restaurant, they drove on admiring the beautiful homes along the way. At three o’ clock, it was time to return home for a short rest before dinner.

They opened the door and Summer stood still. She was still not used to seeing her face upon entering the home.

“It will take a little getting used to,” said Seamus. “Anyone care for a drink?”

  “What are you offering us?”

“Wine, Irish whisky, or Scotch whisky! What’s your pleasure?”

“I’ll have a glass of wine,” said Summer.

“A whisky and soda for me,” said Toby.

“I’ll join Summer in a glass of wine,” said the lovable Josh.

They sipped their drinks and retired to their bedrooms for a quick afternoon nap. Seamus stretched across the bed and pulled Summer to him.

“Joshua is a lovely young man,” he said.

“I’m glad that you like him. He is good for Toby. He will keep him quiet.”

“Does he still bat on both teams?” he asked.

“I think he’s really in love and is keeping a low profile.”

“Who the hell is that?” he asked as the phone started to ring.

He answered and suddenly sat up in bed.

  “What do you want, Lana?”

“I’m in so much trouble, Seamus,” she replied.

“I’m sorry but I can’t help you. Whatever it is, perhaps you should find yourself a good lawyer. Good-bye.”

The phone rang again and there was a tearful Lana again on the line.

“Seamus, you know that Fred and I are now separated.”

  “Yes, I heard.”

“My best friend Monique is now blackmailing me. She stole my diary.”

“And what did she find in the diary, Lana? That you were never pregnant? That you lied to me?”

There was silence on the other end.

  “Damn it, Lana. Answer me.”

  “How did you find out?”

“News gets around, Lana. You should know that. And now that I know about your lie, Summer and I would appreciate it if you would refrain from calling our home. If you persist in making these harassing calls, I will have no other choice, than to put this case in my lawyer’s hands.”

He hung up the phone and stared at Summer.

“You are very perceptive. Or is it your intelligence?” he asked.

  “What are you talking about?”

“You told me it was possible that Lana lied about her pregnancy and you were right.”

“You’ve got to learn to think like a woman,” she said. “I know she is not willing to let you go, even if you show no interest in her, but she will have a fight on her hands this time around.”

“Come here,” he said, pulling her to him. “She will never come between us again.”

He held her close and closed his eyes.

“We’re leaving in a couple hours for dinner. Let’s rest a little,” he said. “Wish you didn’t have your period.”

  Chapter Thirteen

There was a competition at the dinner table between Seamus and Josh. Each one tried to outdo the other with their knowledge of the Italian language, and was making all kinds of mistakes, which had the waiter laughing the entire night. Josh ordered peaches for the main course instead of fish. A simple mix-up, since the Italian word for fish is pesce and for pesca for peach. It was hilarious, and the other customers in the small restaurant could not help but join in the fun.

Midnight found them tottering out of the restaurant after an evening of great fun. Summer took the wheel since Seamus and the other two guests had way too much to drink. Once back home, Summer drove into the garage and Seamus opened the door and the group filed in noisily.

“I haven’t seen one of those since I went to visit my Grandma in the country,” said Toby.

  “What?” asked Seamus.

“That old gray trunk. My grandma used to keep blankets in hers. What do you keep in yours, Seamus?” asked the inebriated Toby.

“I have no idea what’s in it,” replied Seamus, as he headed for the couch.

“What a great weekend!” Josh declared. “And since you are our best friends, we want to let you know that we have decided to cohabit.”

“That’s good news,” said Summer, laughing. “When did this cohabiting decision take place?”

“Last night we decided that we should po…pool our resources and live together,” Toby said, the alcohol consumption causing him difficulty with his speech.

“That makes sense. Look how well it has worked out for us,” said Seamus, pulling Summer to him and kissing her hair.

“This was the best weekend…ever!” said a tipsy Toby. “With the best people in the world. My dear friend Summer and her betrothed, the lovable Seamus, and the love of my life, Josh, the man who has made all my dreams a reality.”

“What was that word, Toby? Betrothed?” asked a laughing Josh.

“Do you think he will say the same things tomorrow?” asked Seamus.

“I’m sure he will,” Summer responded. “What do you always say, Seamus? What a man says when he is tipsy, he means when he’s sober?”

“A truer word has never been spoken,” Seamus replied. “I don’t know
about the rest of you, but I’m going to bed.”

“Goodnight, my children,” said Toby, as Josh led him down the hall to the bedroom.

“Goodnight. Let’s sleep in a bit tomorrow,” Summer shouted after them.

  * * * *

After a quick lunch and viewing the holiday pictures from Tahiti, Toby and Josh set out for home, leaving Summer and Seamus alone.

“That was fun, we ought to do it more often,” Seamus declared.

“Yes we should,” Summer said. “Tell me, Seamus, why do you think Lana called yesterday?”

“You surprise me,” he replied. “You never once mentioned anything about yesterday’s phone call from her.”

“I didn’t want to spoil the weekend and I didn’t want to drag Toby and Josh into this sordid business, although it’s just a matter of time before they find out about it.”

“That’s true, but right now, I haven’t the energy or the desire to talk about Lana and her escapades,” he said, running his hand up and down her spine.

  “You trust me, don’t you?”

  “Of course I trust you.”

“Let’s spend this quiet time together,” she replied.

  “What should we do?”

“I just want to relax and watch television with you,” she replied.

  * * * *

It was dark when Seamus opened his eyes, so he thought it was midnight. He snuggled closer to Summer and lay silently in the dark. He then heard the soft ding of the alarm and he listened. Soon there was movement inside the house. He got up and walked out to the landing and noticed that Millie had arrived. She was trying to go about her business quietly, but only ended up making a racket.

  “Mildred O’Reilly,” shouted Seamus.

“Good morning, Seamus,” she replied. “You’re still alive!”

“Can you be a bit quieter? Summer is still asleep.”

“No, she isn’t,” said a sleepy Summer. “What time is it?”

“I was a little late this morning. Car troubles,” said Millie. “It’s just after eight thirty.”

Millie turned around to leave, and as if she had forgotten something, she suddenly stopped. Turning around slowly, she gazed up at the landing and immediately made a sign of the cross. She muttered to herself and sat down in the nearest chair in the kitchen.
