We’d also like to thank everyone at Talos Press and Skyhorse Publishing who helped sculpt our raw words and occasionally half-baked ideas into something that could be called a book, especially our editor Jason Katzman. You approached us with the basic idea of doing a superhero noir story, and this is what came out of it. Thank you for your infinite patience and understanding, and for being cool with us when we wanted to argue on behalf of the content we really felt strongly about.

A special thanks to everyone who’s ever put pen and ink to page to bring superheroes—good, bad, and otherwise—to life, and for making us believe that people can fly. Thanks especially to those who understand that true heroes come in every shape, size, and color, that not all of them wear capes, and that the good fight is always worth fighting.

And finally, if you’ve actually read this far, we’d like to thank you, the reader. Without you, none of this would be possible, because do words truly exist if they aren’t read? Think about it! Oh, wait, they’re still printed or encoded here anyway because that is the nature of multimedia publishing. Well, it’s still great that you read this far. High five! Enjoy the post credits scene where we leave hints at the rest of our cinematic universe as well as the possibility of up to three Netflix series all tangentially related to this book.

We’ve been informed we have run out of time and money for a post credits scene. High five!
