She can’t seem to keep her hands off him, and vice versa. Her strict rule about never mixing business with pleasure is taking one heck of a beating.
Wild is many things, a quitter isn’t one of them. He wants this feisty woman and knows she wants him just as much. He vows to find a way past her walls and make her understand that what began as one night in Belize is worth breaking all the rules and can lead to forever.

Chapter One
DANGRIGA, BELIZE
“We’ll see you in a week then, Ms. Lamar.”
“Yessir. And thank you again, Mr. Wilder.”
He chuckled. “We’ll be working closely together, please, call me Adam.”
“How about I think about it and let you know?”
“I’ll take it. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.” The call disconnected.
Alyse Lamar had every intention of doing so. She pocketed her phone with a soft yet emphatic, “Yes!”
She had gone in for this job three months ago. After meeting with a company man named Rhodi, being interviewed, and making it through their vetting process, she’d made the short list. Which led to more of the same. As they were making final decision she’d let them know—again—she would be out of the country for two weeks.
Honestly, she’d been under the belief that would have taken her out of the running for the position. Her shock at Adam’s—one she’d yet to meet in person—call, she knew went through when she spoke to him. None mattered for the job was hers.
A fist pump and another, “Yes!”
Spinning back to the bar, she drummed her hands along the shiny, smooth top. “Bartender.”
The hot man made his way down to her. “Yes, beautiful?”
She smiled at him. “Another beer please.”
“Of course. Same kind as before?”
“Yes, please.”
He grabbed the bottle, popped the top, and placed it before her. “Good news?”
She took a swig and nodded. “Got the job I’ve been hoping for.”
He winked and pocketed the money slid over to him. Alyse toasted him with her beer and turned back to get off the stool. She walked down to the edge of the water.
The silken sand beneath her feet combined with the warm liquid lapping at her toes had her sighing in pleasure. Once she finished her beer, she pivoted and made her way back to the bar where she handed the bottle over.
She stuck her hands in her pockets and made her way down the beach. Not far away, a group of mixed aged people were dancing along the water. The guys there beckoned her and she went willingly. Time passed as she danced and sweated to the pounding music.
Arms up, she shook her hips, lower lip caught in her teeth. Through the crowd of spectators, her gaze landed on a man who watched her hungrily. His dark blond hair shone golden in the sun’s rays. He stood braced shoulder-width apart, muscular arms crossed and a drink in one hand.
From here, she couldn’t identify eye color but all she could see was nice. Oh, so nice. He gave her a brief nod and wriggled his fingers in her direction. Her grin turned saucy and she crooked a finger at him.
He tipped back his drink, placed the bottle in the sand, and strode toward her. The sun gleamed off his bare tanned skin as he prowled closer. Mediterranean blue eyes honed in on her face as he reached out and snagged her around the waist with one arm.
Electricity sparked out from his touch and spread throughout her. Pelvises rubbing against one another, her core temperature skyrocketed. His touch, the catalyst to the burning embers created from the output of energy from her dancing. Alyse rested her arms over his shoulders as they continued to keep the beat and grind with the music.
That very thing segued to a slow romantic song. Her mysterious dance partner moved a few sweaty tendrils to rest behind her ear. She laced her fingers behind his neck.
“Hi,” he murmured. He placed his hands on her ass, ensuring to keep them pressed together.
His thick length was unavoidable. But then, if he were willing she’d not be avoiding it at all.
“Hi.”
“Are we exchanging names?” His voice was sin on earth, making her think along the lines of all kinds of naughtiness.
He moved one hand to the center of her back, bringing her closer still as he nuzzled her neck. He smelled like man, adventure, and sweat. A great smell, in her humble opinion.
“Does it matter?”
“Only if you want me to call your name out in bed tonight.”
Heat spiked and she smiled as she dragged her fingers through the short hair on the back of his head.
“Alyse.” She murmured in his ear and nipped the lobe. “And you?”
“Wild.”
A thrill kicked through her. “Do you live up to your name?”
“I’ll ask you that in the morning.” That statement was laced with more promise than she’d faced in her life. He wasn’t worried and knew he would deliver. She liked his arrogance.
Desire flared within her and she grinned. They were both adults and she had no problems doing one night stands. Not that she slept around a lot, for she didn’t, she was careful but she didn’t mind sex. She quite enjoyed it.
“Awesome.”
The end of the current song, Wild began to lead her away from the crowd. He kept her tucked to his side and she allowed it.
“Where to?” His voice a sexy rumble as it rolled over her skin.
“I’m at that hotel,” she said, pointing.
“Excellent, me too. Whose room?”
“Yours.” How have I not seen him around if we’re in the same hotel?
Wild’s hand drifted lower and settled upon her ass. She looped an arm around his waist as they strolled across the sand. No words were spoken as they moved through the lobby but in the elevator, he spun her to him so they were chest to chest.
He cupped her face, large hands framing her features impressing upon her how feminine he made her feel. His thumbs skimmed her cheekbones as he lowered his head and kissed her. She wanted to melt into the elevator’s floor.
His body heat warmed her with each passing second. He trailed his tongue along her lips, swiping across the seam then delved into her mouth. She was there to meet him with her own tongue. They stroked, tangled, and danced with one another as they rode up to his floor.
She gripped his waist, using
him to keep her upright for her legs were shaky at best. They stumbled from the car, lips mashed against one another. His hands were everywhere and she panted when he paused to unlock his hotel room door.
Together, again attached at the lips, they stumbled into his room. He sped along the process of shutting it with a firm kick from one foot. Alyse tightened her grip on his shirt and pulled him as close as possible. His taste, heady and addictive. And she craved more.
She nipped at his invading tongue and he growled low in response, his fingers dug into the flesh of her hips and ass. His hard length pressed into her belly and she released his shirt and attacked the button on his shorts. After that it was the zipper. She maneuvered her hand into his boxers and purred with raw pleasure as her fingers curved around his shaft. Long. Thick. Hard.
Just what she needed her last night in paradise. Retaining her hold on him, she used her other hand to assist gravity in removing both shorts and boxers. Once that had been accomplished, she broke the kiss and drew back to look at him.
He ripped off his shirt and kicked off his flip flops as she enjoyed and memorized the view. Wide shoulders tapered to his lean waist. He had a gorgeous six-pack she wanted to lick. He was big all over. Powerful. Corded thighs and calves. Even the size of his feet impressed.
Could be because he proves that adage correct. Big hands, big feet, big…
“You’re overdressed.” His voice drug across her skin like velvet ropes. Tantalizing and capturing.
“So do something about it.” She released his length.
He stepped closer and knelt before her. His fingers teased her exposed skin as he undid the snap of her jeans. Wild’s breath was hot and steamy against her stomach and she gasped when he tugged lightly on her belly button piercing.
“Sexy,” he muttered.
She steadied herself by resting her hands on his bare shoulders. The flex of muscle beneath her palms, fluid and impressive. The click of each zipper tooth as he lowered it increased her tension. She held her breath as he smoothed them down over her hips.
He whistled low. “Purple is my new favorite color.”
Alyse dug her bare toes in the carpet as she stood before him wearing nothing but her bikini. He pushed up and stood before her, staring at her with raw hunger in his gaze. A claiming, possessive way. She didn’t mind. At all.
Wild reached out and tugged on the string holding up her top. She held still as the slight material fluttered to the floor. He cupped her breasts in his large hands. His thumbs swiped her nipples, drawing the taut tips even tighter.
She gasped, arching her back pressing further into his touch.
“Perfect,” he mumbled.
He bent his head and captured one peak, swirling his tongue around it before grazing it with his teeth. Shit, I’m in trouble if this single touch is about to make me orgasm. She gripped the back of his head and kept him there. His other hand, teased the tip of her unclaimed breast. He licked, tugged, laved, and nipped between them both.
Her legs trembled and she fought not to collapse. He kissed his way down her stomach, pausing to dip his tongue in her belly button. When he held the ties on the sides of her bikini bottom, she held her breath. Two tugs and she was as naked as he.
Before she could register anything, his mouth was on her, his thick tongue stroking up the slit, stabbing deep and doing it all over again. Her legs buckled and his strong hands grabbed her ass, holding her up.
“Wild,” she cried. Her hips ground against him as she tightened her hold on his head. The precipice she teetered on, welcomed her as she fell. Waves of pleasure crashed over her.
He didn’t move, nor did he relent until she had nothing left to give him. Then, he rose and slanted his mouth over hers. The mingled tastes of him and her met her as he surged his tongue deep, past her lips to search for what he wanted.
She melted into him, craving more of his touch. More of the promise he made. Suddenly he released her and went to his shorts where he dug, pulling out his wallet. She stared at his taut glutes and licked her lips. Damn I want to bite that ass. The man was a work of art, plain and simple.
He faced her, condom packet in hand and she ran her gaze over his front, thankful he’d remembered, she had been so far gone she wouldn’t have stopped him for one. Muscles, corded and defined, in his chest and legs. Chiseled masculine features and his intense blue eyes added to the overall package of awesomeness presented. He wasn’t pretty, his features were much too harsh for that. But she didn’t want a pretty man. She wanted him.
I want? What am I thinking? This is nothing more than a quick fuck.
None of it mattered right now for her attention mostly focused on his thick shaft jutting out from a nest of dark blond hair.
Wild strode up to her as he ripped the packet open. Once he was protected, he lifted her and lowered her onto his length with a single move.
“Ahh!” Her cry filled the room.
His thickness set off a wave of tremors in her. He held her gaze as he lay her back on the desk in the room. His left arm braced him over her as his right settled against the surface by her head. She placed her right hand on his left side, fingers grabbing at his lean waist. Her left arm she curved around his muscular upper arm, holding him tight and close.
In and out he stroked, slowly, building up another wave of toe-curling pleasure. Undulating beneath him, she placed a foot on the table, needing him deeper. He lowered his mouth to hover a hairsbreadth over hers.
“Tight.” He thrust in with a single stroke. “Wet.” He withdrew at the same speed. “Hot.”
His mouth engulfed her as his tongue mimicked the action of his hips. In and out. She tightened her internal muscles. He rumbled deep in his chest and paused with only the head of his shaft in her, then with one swift flex, he buried himself to the hilt.
Her cry of passion was absorbed by him. He wound his hand in her hair and held her there as he increased the speed of his strokes.
Oh yeah. Just what the doctor ordered.

Kristopher “Wild” Wilder repositioned the body of the slumbering woman as he reached for the bottle of water perched on the bedside table. She lay curled into him, one lean leg of hers across one of his thicker thighs. Her arms were around him, holding him tight, even as she slept. Normally he hated being held like that but with Alyse it felt right.
Normally you’re gone by now or have had the woman leave, his brain chimed in.
That was true. He wasn’t a man for the whole cuddling thing after. But this…felt different…felt, right.
As he drank he thought about her. Wow. Incredible. Amazing. It would be no hardship for him to go on and on. He checked the clock. Three-forty-two. They’d been asleep for almost a half hour. Before that, when they arrived at his room until then, sex. Slow. Fast. Gentle. Hard. All of it. And all over this room and bathroom. They had been insatiable. He’d not minded one bit.
This woman had woken a hunger within him. Even now, hours later, it hadn’t been quenched. What he didn’t understand was why it was more than just physical. Something else had passed between them. A connection. Bonding.
He drank some more and exchanged it for his phone as the item lit up and vibrated. Staring at the screen, he debated ignoring it. A decision solidified when she snuggled closer and whispered his name. He tossed his phone back where it had been and sank his hand into her hair, angling her head up for his kiss. So what if it had only been thirty minutes of sleep.
Alyse responded and soon nothing else mattered but the two of them and the heights of pleasure they could reach together.
It was after seven in the morning when Wild stepped from the shower and wrapped a towel around his waist. He had plans. Wake her, take her to breakfast, then see how long their clothes stayed on. He grinned at his reflection. After scratching at the stubble on his face, he went to the door and opened it.
Empty. His room was empty.
No sleeping beauty lying on the white sheets waiting for him. N
o sign she had even been there. The bed was made and she, along with her clothing, were gone.
His phone vibrated again and he stomped over to it, angry she’d left him like this. “What?” he snapped as he took the call.
“Morning to you too, sunshine.”
“What do you want, Rhodi?”
His brother Rhodi, the one closest in age to him. There were four Wilder brothers. Adam, Derek, Rhodi, then him. Together they had a company called D.A.R.K. Cover, Inc. They were bodyguards and often did rescue missions.
In fact, that’s what he was doing down here. He’d just completed a mission and had returned the person home and took some—in his mind—well deserved time off. Apparently, someone else didn’t think so which was why his phone was ringing.
“Adam said you didn’t pick up when he called.”
“It was like a quarter to four in the morning. I was,” he gave a small grin, “sleeping.”
His brother snorted. “You know what time it was so you were awake. Who is she?”
She’s gone that’s who she is. He ground his jaw, determined not to let his brother needle him. “What do you want, Rhodi?”
“Adam was worried.”
He scanned the room looking for his smokes then cursed, remembering he no longer had that habit. “I may be the youngest but I’m not a baby anymore. In fact, despite you trying to forget that fact, I’ve not been one for a good number of years.” He dropped the towel and went to his suitcase where he pulled out some clothes. “What is it? Not sure I can handle things on my own?”
“You know it’s not that, Wild. He’s just who he is. I need you to do something for me on your way back however.”
He put it on speaker phone and dressed. “Which is?”
“Stop by and see Mom.”
He stilled at that. “I don’t think that would be wise, Rhodi and you know it. I remind her to much of him.”
“She misses you, Kristopher. Go see her. And we expect you back in two days.” He hung up.
“Of course you do,” he muttered as he shook his head.
