Finding Charity: Red Devils M.C.
Page 13
Tick couldn’t help the dopey grin that covered his face as she did. Damn, he loved that woman, he thought. Trick took advantage of his distraction to plant his fist in his face. Grabbing Trick by the arm he flung the man out onto the porch. No way in hell was he going to piss his woman off when they’d finally made things right with them.
He was tackled into the wall seconds after that thought. Landing hard on his back, grunting. Fuck, that had hurt. He kicked out knocking Trick’s legs from beneath him. Then it was on.
Tick sat leaning against the porch railing, panting. Trick was close by, glaring. Tick had a busted lip and what he was sure was going to be a black eye. Trick didn’t look much better with a cut above his left eye and a bloody nose.
“My sister? Really, Tick. I knew you could be a ruthless dick, but I thought she’d be safe here.” Trick finally gritted out.
“She is safe, dickhead.” Tick told him ready to go another round at the insult. Charity was always safe with him. He almost snorted. Of course, his woman could handle herself he thought, remembering the taser that had lit him up like a Christmas tree. She could take care of herself. No matter what her brother thought.
“Not if you can’t give her what she deserves. She wants the fairytale, Tick. I don’t care what she’s told you. She wants it.” Trick leaned his head back into the porch before he looked back at Tick. “Our parents were fucked up.”
“I know.” Tick said simply. He had known even when he’d patched her under false pretenses.
“If you know how can you still have patched her? Everyone, including me knows that Vivi was it for you. This thing with my sister isn’t right and you know it.” Trick said, looking at him his eyes grim.
“I love her.” Tick said simply tired of arguing with the man over something that wasn’t happening. He wasn’t giving Charity up, ever.
“Everyone knows you loved Vivi, Tick. What the hell does that have to do with my sister.” He demanded.
“Not Vivi, although that’s true. Charity, I love Charity, you stupid dickhead.” Tick was glowering at the man.
“Wait…what?”
“It was a surprise to me too. I thought it was just to keep her close when I asked her to wear my patch. It wasn’t. I was lying to us both at the time. I almost went insane when she was going out with that douche your woman set her up with. I didn’t want any man near her truthfully. The very idea made me apeshit crazy.” He laughed at himself, meeting Trick’s eyes with his own. “Then she was trapped yesterday, and I couldn’t lie to myself anymore. Almost losing her almost killed me. You don’t have to worry Trick. It won’t be like what happened with your dad. She’s my world. I’ll take care of her.”
Trick watched him for a long time before saying “Yeah, I get it. It’s the same for me with Katie. Everyone thought it was Vivi though.”
“I did too. Until your sister. It’s like every piece of me is hers. Vivi was a wonderful woman, and I did love her. I never thought of betraying her, not even once. But I don’t know if I’d met your sister before she was gone if I would have been able to resist the pull Charity has on me. It’s like she owns my soul. I never felt that way with Vivi, she always felt just out of my reach, you know.”
“I get the pull part, but not the Vivi part. The pull and the soul thing though, I feel that every day.” Trick sighed. “Wish it wasn’t my sister we were talking about. Does she know what she really means to you?”
“I think she does, but if she doesn’t I plan to spend the rest of my life showing her.” Tick wiped the blood from his lip, wincing in pain. “Damn, did you have to bust my fucking lip?”
“Yes, asshole. No kissing my little sister.” Trick laughed
“Dick.”
“Yep, she’s my sister, asshat.” He laughed harder. Earning a hard punch to the stomach. After he finished coughing, he asked, “You really love her?”
“I really do.” Tick replied looking out at her in the field with the three boys and a puppy. They were spinning around in circles holding hands. When they were too dizzy to do it any more they all collapsed into the grass laughing. Yeah he loved her.
“Well okay then. Just remember that if you hurt her or break her heart. I will take your balls off and stuff them down your throat.” Trick threatened.
“Fair enough. I’d expected as much. But it will never happen.” Tick told him, he stood. Heading to where his woman and his son were playing in the meadow. Wishing that he could thank Vivi because only that crazy woman could convince God that a bastard like him deserved someone as perfect as Charity.
Epilogue
Charity sat in Tick’s lap four hours later. He held her against him kissing her neck. Apparently, Trick and he had worked out whatever macho idiocy that had entered their tiny little male brains. The men almost seemed like friends again, which almost made her laugh. Men were useless, except for in the bedroom. They always solved issues with their fists. It didn’t make a damned bit of sense. Of course, she remembered Racheal dealing with Tiny’s crazy ex. Huh, she might have been had to do a smack down too if the woman thought she could have her man.
Shit, maybe it was a good thing Tick hadn’t really had involvement with a woman since Vivi. She didn’t like thinking about him with another woman. She’d expected to live in Vivi’s shadow for the rest of her life, but she would never have allowed him to run around behind her back with other women.
Hard lips pressed against her neck before sliding to her ear, nipping it. Tick could tell that Charity was a million miles away in thought and he didn’t like the distance it caused between them. He wanted her here with him when his hands were caressing her as they were now.
“What are you thinking about so hard, baby girl?” He asked into the little shell of her ear.
“Nothing.” She whispered back earning another sharp nip on her ear. “Ouch, stop that.” She growled, covering her ear.
“Then don’t lie to me. You know if makes me a little nuts.”
“You are nuts, Tick.” She said, making him growl. Then he pried her hand away from his prize. Soothing the nip with his tongue.
“What are you thinking about that took you a million miles away from me?” He asked.
“Just thinking.” Charity replied, wiggling a bit on his dick, which was poking at her, making him groan. Damn, he wanted to be inside her. Her brother had cramped his style earlier today.
“What about?” He asked. When she didn’t answer after a few minutes he whispered. “I bet when I finally get you alone we will find out. I will just cuff you to the bed and…”
She whimpered, before saying, “No” But he knew from her breathless tone that she wasn’t opposed to the idea as she pretended to be.
“That’s my sister you’re molesting. Can you fucking stop?” Trick yelled from a few feet away.
“No, asshole. She’s mine. I will kiss her if I feel like it.” Tick yelled back.
“Damn it, Trick. You two are both embarrassing Charity. Now stop it!” Katie roared, smacking her brother in the head. Charity laughed, yeah like she could be embarrassed by her brother anymore. It was too late for that warning, she thought.
Katie continued, “Tell them why we came over here, and be nice.” She loved that Katie. She always checked her brother’s brand of crazy when it got out of hand.
“Fine, we are offering to keep your bra…Oww, woman that hurt. What the hell was that for?” Trick asked looking at Katie, glaring. She rolled her eyes.
“Nicely,” she growled, glaring back. Yep, she really loved her girl. Charity thought, smothering her giggles in Tick’s chest.
“Fine, we are offering to take your undisciplined,” He dodged another blow from Katie, before he finished. “Kid home with us for about four days. To give you a break. So that you can have completely platonic alone time together.” He glared at Tick before he added “No, touching my sister, asshole.”
“Can you be trusted with my precious little boy and his puppy?” Tick asked
“Pu
ppy, nobody said I was taking a dog home to shit and piss all over the house, forget it.” Trick growled. But when Katie went to smack his head again, he screeched in an unbecoming voice. “Fine, fine. The puppy can come too.”
“Sounds great!” Then Tick was standing with her in his arms. “Let’s go start our completely not even close to platonic weekend of naughty sin together. See ya.” Tick crowed loudly taking off with her in his arms headed to the farm house.
“Stop, let me go, damn it, Katie. I’m not going to kill him. I just want to rip off his penis then he can go off with my sister.” Trick roared, she saw over Tick’s shoulder that he was fighting Katie to get to them, but Katie wouldn’t allow it.
“Did you have to poke him, Tick?” Charity asked, angrily.
“Yeah, don’t worry, baby girl. He’s not really mad.”
She looked back to where her brother was dragging a struggling Katie towards them. “You could have fooled me.” Charity said hoping that he didn’t get away from Katie before they got to the locked door that would keep her brother out.
“Nah…he just wants you to think that. We’re good. We worked it out.” Tick said. Entering the house, and carrying her up the stairs.
“Uh-huh if you say so.” She didn’t believe it for a minute. It was only a few minutes later when Tick pulled the cuffs from a box under the bed that she forgot all about her brother and enjoyed the pleasure of having the man she loved touching her. With the knowledge that he felt as strongly for her as she for him.
