Fractured Angel (The Fall Book 2) Page 24

by J. J. Dean

Needing more, I take his hands in mine and push them above his head again. My fingers tangle with his, his hold tight and firm. With his hands in my hold, I take control of our movements, raising my body and pushing myself back on his cock, taking him repeatedly until it's Noah's turn to start groaning with pleasure. My pussy clenches tightly around him, drawing out another blissful noise from him that makes me even wetter.

My hips begin to move faster, our mixed noises of lust-fueled pants and moans turning me on more and more until I find myself barreling towards a release I'm not ready for.

In a swift movement, Noah flips our position without ever disconnecting his body from mine, still firmly sheathed inside me. He drags his cock from my pussy, thrusting back in with more force in every pound of our hips. His pace quickens, causing my walls to tighten around him, squeezing tightly. He groans deep in his throat, and his sex-hazed voice fills my mind.

She's so tight. So wet. I'm going to cum if she keeps doing that.

I'll be fucked six ways to Sunday if that doesn't make me wetter, dragging me closer to the release that I’m teetering on the edge of. My pussy pulses around his thickening cock, and I feel his movements stutter before picking up the pace to an almost punishing speed. I take it all, needing him to let go, to give me everything he's got and more.

My legs rise of their own volition, wrapping tightly around Noah's waist. I drag him closer, his shaft sinking deeper into me, finding that sweet fucking spot inside me that has me crying out even louder, my arms coming to wrap around his neck. With the use of my legs, I grind myself against him, tightening even more.

"I'm going to cum. Noah, fuck," I breathe, crying out again when his cock strokes my g-spot and his pelvis grinds against my clit, sending me soaring over the edge.

I clamp around him like a vise, my pussy fluttering around him as he pounds into me, dragging out my orgasm to an intense, leg shaking extent and chasing his own release. It takes one more thrust before he finally lets go, growling with his orgasm, his right hand growing tight on my ass while the other tightens in the comforter.

Breathless, he drops his head to my chest when he's done, keeping himself buried inside me while we both catch our breath. My legs loosen, wrapped around his back at the ankles, my arms languidly hanging around his neck, and my body twitching with aftershocks every now and then.

When he lifts his head, his eyes are shining with something that warms me from the inside. His smile is soft and beautiful, and he leans down to kiss me slowly, his hold on me similar to someone holding something precious and rare. It causes my heart to thunder in my chest and my breath to catch in my lungs.

There's a sudden knock at the door, and I hear Eli's humor-filled voice call, "Is it safe to enter?"

I hear the cheeky lilt to his voice and can't help but laugh, drawing a groan from Noah's lips. Shocking me once more, Noah lifts his head from my chest and turns his head towards the door before he yells, "Fuck off!"

My head rears backward, and I stare at Noah with wide eyes and an amused grin. "You just said fuck. You never say fuck."

"I'm going to say it a lot more if he doesn't let me have my time with you before we have to leave," he informs me, looking so serious I can't help but laugh some more. It just pours out of me in long wheezes before I find my voice, laughing so hard that tears form in my eyes.

With the sweetest blush from our activities and making me laugh so hard, Noah grins down at me, that addicting look in his eye again. I lift my hands, cupping his jaw and smiling so hard at him that my cheeks begin to hurt. "You're an amazing man, Noah Samuels."

"And you're an amazing woman, Luna Greyson. An amazing angel," he tells me, so sincere that I lift myself up and kiss him so deeply I feel it all the way to my toes. He drops all of his body weight onto me, kissing me back with equal vigor, taking his time to savor the moment just as I am. It's as sweet as Noah, and I cherish it all, holding him close to me until there's another fucking knock at the door.

"I'm going to kill him," I announce, my lips brushing against Noah's.

"That's not very nice, Flower. I'll have you know, I come bearing gifts. If you don't want this delicious food I've brought..." Eli says through the door, his sentence trailing off.

I pause and think about it, something that's cut short when I feel Noah pulse inside me as he moves to get a little comfier. "Nope. Leave it at the door. Yep. That'll do."

Noah grins at me with his signature blush, and I find myself giddily grinning back.

Before Eli says, "Fuck it. I'm coming in. You have five seconds."

"Fuck’s sake," Noah and I whisper in tandem, looking at one another before laughing.

Just before the door opens, Noah slips his shaft from inside me, coming to lie at my side and pulling a soft blanket over the two of us just in time. Using one of my old shirts, he cleans me up the best he can just before Eli comes barging into the door, looking much too happy for someone who just burst into a room after Noah and I shared a beautiful and intimate moment together.

"Stop looking at me like that, Flower, or I'll eat your cookies," he tells me, holding up a paper bag in front of himself and jiggling it. The smell wafts towards me, and it sends my stomach into a growling frenzy. It's been days since I ate, and the man should really know not to tease a hungry woman with baked goods.

Uncaring about my nudity since both men have already seen my bare body, I throw the comforter off of me and jump out of the bed, snatching the bag from Eli's grasp and turning to dive back in the bed. Just before I can climb back in bed beside Noah, Eli's arm comes around my waist and pulls me against his hard chest. He picks me up, kissing the side of my neck, followed by blowing raspberries in a spot that I didn't realize was so ticklish until now.

Uncontrollable laughter escapes me, and I struggle to get away from the heathen. Instead, he carries me back to the bed and drops me on top of it, stripping out of his shirt and pants as soon as I'm on the bed.

"Where's Ash?" I ask, sliding over in bed until there's enough room for Eli to join us. He slides in close, his body heat a lot hotter than Noah's but welcome regardless.

"He'll be here in just a sec. We got back about twenty minutes ago, and he has a raging hard-on that he doesn't want you to witness," Eli tells me with a straight face as I dig into the cookies, offering Noah one and then Eli.

"Asshole!" Asher yells from the other room.

Grinning, happy, and sated, I settle in bed with Noah's arm around me, Eli shoving the cookie in his mouth before rolling into his spot on top of me and pinning me in place. Asher joins us a moment later, glaring at his brother before stripping and clambering in bed with us. He settles against me, stealing the cookie from my hand before I can eat it.

I know it can't last, and although it feels like there's a piece missing from this moment, I feel happy. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I feel true happiness, a feeling bordering on delirious. Despite everything wrong with my life right now, I can feel joy for the first time is so very long. I feel cared for and cherished, things I hadn’t felt since the beginning with Alistair. I didn't realize how much I missed it until now.

With those thoughts and three of my guys around me, I swear to myself that when we find Francis and all of this war shit is over, I'm going to do whatever I can to make this feeling last. I'm going to do my best to be happy, and I'm going to do it with my guys by my side for as long as I can keep them.

  Chapter 32

  Luna

"Any sign of Devon?" I ask, aiming for nonchalant but sounding a little too curiously worried to pull it off.

We've all devoured the cookies Eli brought us, and we're now lounging in bed, limbs tangled and bodies pressed up tight against one another. Noah hasn't left my side, practically plastered to me and I to him. Asher is sprawled out beside me, flicking through the channels on the television that's hooked onto the wall. Eli is sitting opposite me, with my legs over his and his on both sides of my ass. I have no idea whose shirt I
'm wearing, having thrown on the first one I spotted when we finished eating.

"We didn't find any clue where he is. He just up and vanished. He has wings; he can do that," Eli informs me with a frown. It makes me wonder if he misses his wings, misses being able to up and leave whenever he chose, taking to the sky without a worry. I don't want to tap into his mind to know. That's not a breach of privacy I want to take and honestly? I don't want to hear the answer in case he really does miss it and regrets his decision, knowing it's me who's the cause of that. That's not something I can handle right now.

Since waking up, the voices have come slower, and I’m only hearing snippets randomly now. It's when I focus on wanting to know what they're all thinking that I can hear them clearly, full sentences and thoughts. We all thought it would be a great idea to check how well this new power works, and Eli was more than happy to volunteer. After hearing the very descriptive way he would like to bend me over and have his way with me, I stopped prying and blushed furiously for all of ten minutes before my cheeks faded back to their usual pale coloring.

"Why would he leave like that?" I ponder out loud, not really expecting an answer.

Eli provides one anyway. "I have an idea. Let's just say he has a few issues and he doesn't want you possibly sneaking a glance at the fucking mess his head is."

"I don't know what that means," I reply honestly.

Asher and Eli share a look, one that they don't exactly hide but aren't in a hurry to explain. Instead, Asher tells me, "Let's just say he has a few things to work out. Things that he doesn't want you to hear or see until he's ready."

Well, that just confuses me more. It's not like I was going to start probing his stupid head for the answers I've been wanting. Maybe. I'd like to think I wouldn't, so I'm going to leave it at that.

I don't bother answering, dropping back against the headboard of the bed and looking down at the hands in my lap. Noah drops a kiss to my bare shoulder, the t-shirt I'm wearing big enough that it's slipped off and hangs around my bicep. It's a sweet gesture, and I turn my head to smile softly at him, giving him a brief kiss to show my appreciation.

"Can I get in on that? I want one of those," Eli tells me with an audacious wink and eyebrow raise.

I lean forward, drawing closer to him before he scoops me up and places me on his lap anyway. My mouth drops to his, and he kisses me back with vigor, numbing my mind entirely until all I can think about is his lips on mine.

Pulling away slowly, I ask him, "How's your back now?"

"Better. Still achy every now and then, but I'm fine," he answers with a dimpled grin. That's not a smile of someone who regrets Falling. Maybe I'm thinking too much about it. I give him a smile in return and kiss him briefly once, then twice, before climbing off his lap, crawling to the edge of the bed, and jumping off.

I turn and face Asher. "You want one too?"

He keeps a straight face, but I see his stormy eyes dancing with amusement. He lifts his hand and gestures for me to come closer with a crook of his finger. I shake my head, smiling like a smart-ass.

Too quick for how any man his size should be able to move, he's off the bed and yanking me towards him, pinning me to the wall in no time. A gasp escapes me, and it's immediately swallowed by his bruising kiss, his hands going to grip my bare ass under the shirt.

By the time he pulls away, I'm in such a daze that he has to hold me steady when he puts me back down onto the floor. He gives me a wink and goes back to the bed, dropping down and flicking through the channels again. Damn that man.

"Okay, so Devon is missing too. That makes Francis, Brutus, and that dickhead angel. Great," I grumble once I catch my breath and find my footing.

"We'll find them, babe," Asher replies, sending me a look before focusing back on the TV. What is he even so focused on right now? The TV does not need our attention, damn it. I stomp over to the bed, snatch the remote from his hand, and turn the television off, launching the remote across the room before turning and propping my hands on my hips.

"We're not going to find them on the TV, now are we?" I question with a sarcastic smile. Asher rolls his eyes but climbs out of bed, throwing a shirt on and re-lacing his boots when he slips his feet inside.

"Get dressed then, Peaches. We're going to go out looking," he tells me, standing to his full height and giving me a kiss on the head as he walks towards the door. It immediately makes me feel bad for snapping, so I hurry toward him before he reaches the door handle and jump onto his back, knowing his scars aren't hurting anymore. With my mouth by his ear, I whisper, "Sorry, handsome."

I drop a kiss on the shell of his ear and then his neck, and I hear the faintest growl coming from his chest. It vibrates through his body, and I feel it in my arms and legs. Instead of putting me back down like I was expecting, he hoists me up further up, hooks his arms under my knees, and carries me to my bag, bending over and lifting it onto the bed. "You're forgiven. Get your ass dressed."

And then the asshole bends and flings me over his shoulder, dropping me onto the bed in some sort of fucking wrestling move I've seen on television. What the hell?

With his face hovering over mine, he gives me a rare grin and wink, then struts out of the bedroom as if he didn't just launch me off his back with little effort. Breathless, I remain staring at the ceiling for a moment until Eli prods me in the hip and says, "Might want to get dressed before he choke slams you or something."

Noah laughs, untangling me from the comforter and helping me out of bed, standing me on my feet before asking, "You okay?"

Nodding, I tell him, "Yeah. I think so? I mean, it's been nice being in our own little bubble, but we need to find Francis and go home."

His arms go around my waist with a shy smile, and I wrap my arms around his neck. Keeping his voice to a near whisper, he questions, "Home?"

Before I can answer, Eli bursts our bubble again, creeping up behind me and wrapping us both in a hug with me in the middle of our sandwich. He kisses my cheek and brightly says, "Yep. Home. She's stuck with us all, even if she hasn't made peace with it yet."

"Damn it, Eli, I already told you I've made peace with it. If I hadn't, then I would have told you I changed the locks before we left," I tell him, rolling my eyes but smiling at Noah.

"You didn't have time, so you absolutely did not," Eli retorts, sounding smug as shit.

"Keep it up, and I'll ditch you at the airport when we get home and change the locks before you get to the apartment," I quip, sending him a toothy grin over my shoulder.

He opens his mouth to respond, but Asher calls out, "Get dressed! We're leaving in ten!"

I drop a quick kiss on Eli's mouth before offering another to Noah and wiggling my way out of the appealing sandwich so I can get dressed.

"Five minutes!" Asher yells from the living area. Laughing, we all quickly get dressed, throwing on the first things we find before leaving our little bubble and stepping into the real world ready to find Francis French and her damned Cerberus dog.

  ***

Dressed and sporting a hat and gloves thanks to Asher, Eli takes my hand as we walk through the streets of London, looking for any sign of my best friend and her giant dog. Unbeknownst to the others, I'm also searching for Devon. Sure, he hurt me. I don't even particularly like him at this very moment, but there's something in my chest that's telling me I need to find him. Something in my chest hurts at the knowledge that he left without even saying goodbye.

"We've been looking for hours, and we're no closer to finding any of them," I comment, disappointment tinging my words. It's disheartening. I don't know what I was expecting, but something inside me thought that when we got here, I'd at least find something that would point me in the direction of my difficult to find best friend. I thought I'd have a clue by now.

"Don't lose faith now, Angel. We haven't been searching long enough for you to feel defeated yet," Noah tells me, using the nickname he's developed since our time together. I thought I'd hate it at first since angels
haven't ever really brought happy feelings to my life until now, but I've found myself enjoying the little token of affection. It brings new meaning to the word, and I like it.

I sigh, leaning into his side while still clasping Eli's hand in mine, and say, "I just thought we would have gotten somewhere already, you know? I don't know how much longer I can cope without knowing if my best friend is safe. Or even... alive."

Noah kisses the side of my head gently and tells me, "We have to keep positive. It's all we can do until we find her."

Eli squeezes my hand, letting me know he agrees. Asher turns his head and says, "It hasn't been a day since you woke up, Peaches. Just give it time."

Nodding, I look down, still feeling the pangs of sadness burrowing beneath my heart. With a long sigh, I tell them, "It's going to get dark soon. Maybe we should head back to the hotel and start early tomorrow."

"Is that what you want?" Asher asks, stopping us all and turning toward me. His face is all business, dark and dangerous.

Shrugging, I say, "It feels like the only option we have right now. The sun is already going down, and we're no closer to finding Francis or Brutus. Maybe if we get enough sleep tonight, have an early start in the morning and search into the night tomorrow, we can get a little closer."

"Alright, Flower. We'll go get some dinner, have an early night, and spend the day looking tomorrow. Don't give up yet," Eli tells me, letting go of my hand and wrapping his arm over my shoulder, hugging me to his body.

We all turn and head in the direction we've been walking, Eli leading me to a restaurant just down the road. Just as we enter, the smell of cooking food hits me instantly, heat blasting into my face carrying the smell of something so delicious I feel my belly growl.
