Man Eaters (Book 3): Mob Rule Page 26

by Linda Kay Silva

“So that’s why Luke never showed up? He’s been taken by the military?”

Nodding, Dallas put the pedal all the way to the floor. “According to JB, yeah.”

“Then what are you waiting for, cowgirl? Step on it.”“Hang on to her, Butcher. Hold on to her with everything you’ve got.”

  “Dallas?”

  “Yeah?”

  “She’s gonna make it.”

Dallas glanced in the rearview mirror at Butcher’s face and suddenly, knew she was right. It was the lies and fantasies of a future that kept their hopes alive. Now, if only they could keep Zoe alive as well.

  Only time would tell.
