Jack snickered. “Me too. But we need to sleep.”

“Then we’ll just have to be quick.”

Jack thought for a moment. A quick tumble followed by sleep would probably be more restful than just catnapping. “First one to come wins,” he said as he rolled off the bed and began to strip.

  “You’re on!”

Jack finished first and threw the linens back before he piled into the bed. Tina wasted no time as she crawled into bed and placed her knees to either side of Jack’s head. He was already hard as she took him into her mouth and teased him about the head with her tongue. She could drive a car and ride a bike, but she didn’t think she had any hope of driving a semi. Since Jack would have to drive the entire way, this was a race she was determined for him to win.

He pulled her down and began to slather his tongue around her most sensitive area as she sucked him. Making his lover come, and come hard, turned him on like nothing else. Despite the race, he wanted to make her come first just so he could experience the thrill of doing so.

She teased the head with her tongue before she relaxed her throat and took him deep as she worked him over. He was fighting her as he withheld his orgasm… she could feel it in the stiffness of his muscles even as her own orgasm began to lurk. Damn him! she thought. I just need to come so he can relax and do what he needs to do. But if she was going to come, she wanted to come with him inside of her.

She pulled away from him and rolled to her back beside him before she beckoned to him with her arms. “Fuck me, Jack,” she growled as he climbed over her. “I want you to fuck the shit out of me,” she sneered as she held him by the face and stared into his eyes.

He knew her words were designed to goad him to his orgasm… and he would let them… as soon as she came. “You want it? You want me to fuck you hard?” he growled as he entered her.

“Yes… I want you to fuck me so hard… so fucking hard. I want you to fuck me and not stop.”

He started out slow, to make sure she was ready, but then he exploded into motion, driving into her with a hard rhythm. She better come soon… I’m not going to be able to take this for long, he thought to himself as he closed his eyes in pleasure.

She saw him close his eyes and gasped. “That’s it. Fuck me, Jack. Fuck me!” she encouraged as her orgasm began to close in around her.

He growled low in his chest as he pounded into her. He would have to either back off or let himself go, because his climax was growing beyond his ability to control. He was debating with himself what to do when Tina lunged at him with a deep grunt, then fell back to the bed as she cried out.

“Fuck… I’m coming!” she cried out softly as her body twisted up with pleasure. She rode the soaring waves until her release washed out of her and she relaxed with a long exhalation. “You need to come. I want you to come. You need to come,” she whispered as she caressed his sides, her fingers dancing over his rippling muscles.

Tina had no more than spoken the words before Jack tumbled headlong into his own orgasm. As he was overwhelmed with pleasure his pounding strokes slowed. He settled onto her as he thrust gently, grunting softly with every easy thrust as he spilled his essence into her until his hips coasted to a stop.

“I won,” Tina said with a grin as he pulled his head from her shoulder and took her lips.

“I would call that a tie,” he countered after he released her lips.

“Oh no. I definitely came first.”

“Okay. You win this time, but just wait until next time,” he teased.

She sigh deeply and looked at the clock as Jack pulled out of her and moved to her side, where he tugged her in tight with a sigh of his own. They had finished in only ten minutes and she could already feel the first tentative tugs of sleep.

She giggled. “I’m starting to get sleepy already.”

“Yeah. Me too. There is no way I would have been drowsy already. So… good idea.”

She reached behind her to stroke his still-hard manhood. “Next time, though, you had better last longer. After two of these quickies, I’m ready for a good, long one.”

  “We could go again.”

I would like that but… “No. You need to sleep. We need to sleep. You’re going to be up all night driving and I’m going to be up all night to make sure you don’t fall asleep.” She released him before the temptation became too much.

“Yeah… you’re right,” he agreed with another sigh. He kissed her lightly on the shoulder and tugged her in just a bit tighter. “Hey! Guess what?”

  “What?”

  “I love you.”

She sniffed out a brief laugh. “Hey! Guess what?”

  “What?

  “I love you too.”

Jack grinned and he kissed her on the shoulder one last time before he settled in and got comfortable.

Less than thirty minutes after they turned in for their nap, first Tina, then Jack, slid into sleep. They slept soundly for almost four hours until the alarm on Jack’s phone pulled them back to the waking world.

“The rig is fueled and ready to go,” Roger said.

They had arrived at Rog’s house an hour ago. Rog had helped them strap their bikes to the truck and showed them how to secure the cars for transport. Their clothes and a bag full of sandwiches, snacks, and water—provided by Nic—were already in the truck.

“Okay. You have everything set so you can eventually call and get some help?” Jack asked.

“Yeah. I spent all day yesterday and today practicing.”

Jack chuckled. He didn’t know how you could practice dialing a phone with your hands and feet tied, but so long as Rog was comfortable with the idea, they would do it his way.

“If Marshall doesn’t hear from you by midnight, he’s going to come over here and cut you loose, okay?”

“Don’t worry. I will call him as soon as I rat you out,” Rog said with a grin. “But one other thing… I’ve been thinking. I want you to hit me.”

  Jack’s eyes widened. “What?”

“Yeah. If you steal my truck and I don’t have a mark on me… well… I don’t want to look like a complete pussy.”

“Rog! I don’t want to hit you! I thought I was just going to pull a gun on you.”

“And you still are. That’s how you got away without me kicking your ass,” Rog said with a grin. “I’m not exactly looking forward to this either. But it will help sell it. Just make it count, okay?”

  “Rog… I don’t…”

“Come on! Now you don’t be a pussy.”

  Jack grimaced. “Are you sure?”

  “No. But do it anyway.”

Jack took a swing at him, but at the last moment he lost his nerve and held back somewhat. Rog’s head rocked back and he staggered backwards a step, but then he stopped and looked at Jack.

“Shit, that hurt! But what kind of punch was that? Goddammit… now you are going to have to do it again. Fucking hit me this time so we don’t have to do this again.”

The next time, Jack hit him, Rog went to the floor.

“Fuck!” Rog snarled as Jack helped him up. He spit blood into the sink. “Fuck, that hurts, you shit. Isn’t there something between the first one and that one?”

  “I’m sorry, Rog.”

Roger spit again. “It’s okay. I asked for it. But you have a hell of a punch, you asshole. That was like being kicked in face by a fucking horse.”

“Just be glad it wasn’t her,” he said with a nod at Tina. “She would’ve put you in the hospital.”

Rog chuckled and spit one last time before he held his wrists out to be bound. “Why do you think I asked you to do it?”

  ***

“This is your last chance to back out,” Jack said as he released the trailer brake on the rig.

“We have to hurry,” Tina said as she motioned forward with her hand.

Jack smiled then pulled her to him for a quick kiss. She was right… they had to hurry. It was a twelve-hour drive to Los Angeles and he wanted to mak
e as many of those miles in the dark as possible so it would be more difficult to tell what type of cars were on the hauler. They had a bill of lading and manifest for the cars, and their story would be that they are talking them to the Cars as Art show, but if the theft had already hit the wire… no amount of paperwork would get them out of that. Better to just not get stopped.

Jack gave a blast on the horns to check for air pressure, then hauled the rig out of Rog’s yard.

Jack stopped half a block from the impound yard. He was blocking traffic, but that was going to be the least of his offenses soon enough. He swiped the card and the gate began to rumble open. He and Tina squeezed past the moment there was enough room and darted to the office. The attendant was sitting at the desk watching television when Jack burst through the door with his weapon out.

“Don’t be stupid,” he growled as he pointed the gun.

“For Christ sake, don’t shoot!” the man shouted as his hands went up. “Are you fucking crazy? This is the police impound yard!”

“Yeah… probably,” Jack said. “Take his cell,” he ordered Tina. The office was little more than a shack, a small office area with a toilet and a sink in a separate small room, so they zip tied him to the drain on the sink.

“Ray is probably wondering where I am about now,” Tina teased as they shut the door to the office.

“Yeah, well, we’ll send him a thank you card or something.”

While Jack brought the rig into the yard, Tina wrestled the big door open so they could get the cars out. It was nice of the police to leave the keys in the cars so they were easy to move. By the time Jack arrived with the truck, all the cars were uncovered and one of them was idling in the yard.

As Jack drove the cars onto the truck, she ferried them into the yard and left them idling to warm. After the last car was in the yard, she locked down those already on the truck. After Jack loaded the last car, his Audi, he helped Tina finish locking the cars down.

While Jack closed the roll-up, Tina first dropped the keys and electronic pass in the yard not far from the garage. When someone finds them later, they will think Ray just lost them... she hoped. After their little “in and out” at the art gallery two weeks ago, where they used stolen keys to get in without setting off any alarms, this should really make the cops scratch their head. She then darted across to the shack to deliver the pièce de résistance.

“Did you do it?” Jack asked as she climbed into the truck while he waited for the gate to grind open.

  “Yep.”

“You know that’s just going to piss them off.”

  “Ask me if I care.”

“That’s my girl.” He grinned as he jammed the truck into gear and whined out through the gate.

As the truck rumbled away, the sheet of paper with Thanks for taking care of the cars for us… Jack and Tina, written on it fluttered gently on the desk as the air conditioner softly stirred the air.

  CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

“Call Seth,” Jack said. “We need to know where we are going.”

Tina flipped through the phone until she found Seth’s number. “Seth, Tina. We’re on I-40 Westbound. Jack wants the address for the warehouse.”

“I don’t have one yet,” Seth said.

“He doesn’t have one yet,” Tina repeated for Jack.

“Fuck…” Jack muttered, then held his hand out for the phone.

“Seth… we got to have this, man. We’re depending on you.”

“I know, Jack! But it’s Sunday!”

“I know! But you said you could do it.”

“I’m trying, Jack. I spoke to three places Saturday. They are supposed to get back to me first thing Monday morning with the paperwork. I told them the first one to get the paperwork to me gets the contract. But I can only do so much!”

“I know. But stay on them. We are going to be arriving in LA at about… ten, ten-thirty. Nine-thirty local. I don’t to be sitting around all day with a hundred million dollars’ worth of cars on the truck while they jack off.”

“I’m pushing as hard as I can!”

“I know… and I know I didn’t give you a lot of time. But you said you could do it. The Sons are depending on you, Seth. Make it happen.”

  “I will if I can.”

“I have faith in you. I know you can do it.”

“Okay. I will call you back as soon as I know something.”

  “Good enough. Thanks, Seth.”

“Yeah,” he grunted before hanging up.

“We’re fucked, aren’t we?” Tina asked.

“Not yet. But it’s going to be damn tight.”

  “We didn’t have much choice.”

“I know. It was either go this Sunday and risk not finding a place to store the cars, or wait and go next Sunday and risk the cars being released from impound. Either way, it was a risk. But we’re putting a lot of pressure on Seth.”

“Could we hide somewhere for a day?”

  “I’m open for suggestions.”

Tina chewed her lip. “How about just out in the desert somewhere?”

“We can’t go off pavement. We’ll get stuck or hung up for sure. So anywhere we stop, somebody could drive by. We need to be inside somewhere. And in case you hadn’t noticed, this thing isn’t exactly a Smart Car.”

“Yeah. I noticed. But you handle it pretty well. Have you driven a truck before?”

“A little. When I first started out I had this idea of stealing the cars and transporting them myself, so I got my CDL. That turned out to be a non-starter. But I have kept the CDL up just in case.”

“So what are we going to do?”

“We are going to press on and hope Seth comes through.”

  “And if he can’t?”

“Then… we’re going to have to scramble.”

  “Come on, Seth!” Tina cheered.

Jack snorted. “Yeah. Come on, Seth!”

  ***

It was just after two-thirty in the morning when they ground through Flagstaff. They had been steadily climbing, and Tina had poked at buttons until she figured out how to turn on the heat to ward off the night’s chill.

  “How’re you doing?” she asked.

“Okay so far. The nap this afternoon helped. You?”

“A little drowsy, but doing okay. Mostly I need to stretch my legs a little.”

“Can you hang on a little longer?”

“I’m okay. I’m just not normally cooped up in a car… or truck… this long at a time.”

  “We’re almost halfway.”

Tina groaned and stretched. “How about something to eat to help pass the time?”

“Sounds good. What did Nic pack for us?”

Tina rummaged in the sack for a moment. “You name it. It looks we have ham, roast beef, or turkey for sandwiches—two of each—plus three kinds of chips, beef sticks, jerky and… I claim the M&M’s.”

“Just give me something. It doesn’t matter.”

Tina handed over a ham sandwich and chips, and stuck a water in one of the cup holders.

“What are we going to do once we get to LA while we wait for Cheryl and Brett to turn up a buyer?”

“We’re going to lounge by the pool and soak up some California sunshine.”

“What if they can’t find a buyer?”

“They’ll find one. Eventually someone will want them. We just have to give them time.”

“You have a lot of faith in the Sons.”

“They are the best. If we were located in LA or New York--someplace like that—we would be making a killing. They’ve never let me down.”

“But this was a stretch for you, wasn’t it?”

Jack splutters. “A hundred million dollars’ worth of cars in one heist? That’s a stretch for anyone.”

  “But you did it.”

“We did it. I told you before, we couldn’t have done this without you. Either time. You and your magic fingers.”

  “If they—”

  “When,” Jack
corrected.

“When they find a buyer, then what?”

“Then we will give the buyer the keys to the cars and warehouse and hit the road. We’ll have to come back for either the Audi or the bikes.”

  “That’s it?”

  “That’s it. Simple, huh?”
