Samson and Cade both walked to Adrianna smiling because they knew Adrianna had the biggest heart and she was so full of love that she couldn’t help herself. “Baby, you are awesome. You are the most loving and kind person I have ever met,” Cade advised as he smiled, bent down, and kissed her hand.

Adrianna reached up and touched Cade and Samson’s faces, gently caressing their cheeks, always having the need to touch one another.

“Thank you, Sis. I knew you would take him under your wing. I haven’t had the time to spend with him like I should. He is very delicate, so go easy on him. He needs a lot of love. Nobody has ever said ‘I love you’ to him. Nobody has ever given him respect or the common decency just to be nice to the boy. I knew you would do this. Adrianna, I love you and I’m very proud of you.”

Adrianna smiled then walked to her brother and engulfed him into a hug.

  Chapter Twelve

Adrianna and her mates checked in with the Supreme Alpha to make sure he had enough Protectors with him and to ensure he was taken care of before they left the hotel.

“Adrianna, how do you like your rooms?”

“They’re beautiful and very roomy. We’re supposed to meet with Jamenson downstairs. He is going to show us a house he built; he said that something last year told him to build this house. It’s next to Seige Field, Selena. He says it’s beautiful and plenty big enough for us and the Protectors and Guards too.”

Afton smiled, then looked down, trying to say what he needed to say instead of what he wanted to say. He wanted Adrianna with him at the hotel not at another location.

  “What is wrong, sir?”

“Nothing, sweetheart. I know you and your mates want your own place, but I’m being very selfish because I want you with me. Go see the house, then let us know what your plans are.”

Adrianna bowed her head out of respect to her Alpha and left with her mates.

Jamenson rode with Adrianna and her mates to the house he built next to Seige Field. When they pulled up to the front of the house, it was breathtaking. Adrianna gasped when she saw it. Cade and Samson both smiled as they got out of the car to look up at the house. It was a log cabin, but it was something most would picture the rich and famous living in. The outside was something to see, there were flowers everywhere on the wrap around porch and in front of the house. The grass was so green and the trees surrounding the house were so full. When Adrianna got out of the vehicle, it felt as if the trees and flowers stopped swaying in the breeze and leaned toward her.

Everybody stopped talking and became aware of the silence, then looked at Adrianna. Her eyes were glowing bright green. It was as if she was in a trance and communicating with the trees. Adrianna started walking toward the trees smiling. Cade and Samson walked beside her, watching her reaction. Then the unbelievable happened, a huge oak tree’s limb swayed toward her, lifting Adrianna off the ground. The limb actually picked her up off the ground and held her high up in the sky. Cade and Samson started yelling, running toward the tree, but before they could reach the big oak tree, a large vine wrapped around both of their legs, holding them still to the ground. Jamenson didn’t move from where he stood. He didn’t want the vines or the trees to do something to him. Plus, he couldn’t move, the fear he was feeling was making it hard for him even to breathe.

The tree’s branch brought Adrianna softly back to the ground right in front of Cade and Samson. She was laughing because the vines had her mates bound as if they had real handcuffs on. Both of her mates didn’t think it was so funny, as they gave her that look.

“Can you please let my mates go?” The vines immediately released Cade and Samson, drawing back toward the trees. “Thank you, my friends.”

Cade and Samson went to Adrianna asking if she was hurt.

“No, but did you just see that. Did you hear them talking to me?”

“Adrianna we couldn’t hear anything. Next thing we knew you were being lifted up into the sky by a tree. How is that possible?” Cade asked.

“All I heard when I got out of the vehicle were the trees, the vines, and the flowers all talking to me. They were welcoming me home. They were so excited to see me. I can’t believe you couldn’t hear them. They were so loud, all talking at once. They told me they would always protect me.”

Jamenson was staring at Adrianna. He couldn’t say anything. Adrianna ran to Jamenson worried.

“Are you okay, Jamie? Don’t be scared, they won’t hurt you.”

Jamie just looked up at Adrianna and softly asked, “What are you?”

Cade placed his arm on Jamenson’s shoulder. “Adrianna is the Trinity, Jamie. She has powers that nobody else has and apparently she can talk to the trees.”

“Jamie, are you okay? Please say something. Are you afraid of me now?”

“No…no Adrianna, it’s just unbelievable. I couldn’t believe my eyes. You really are the Trinity.”

“Well that’s what they say Jamie, but I’m still your cousin. So please don’t treat me any different. So much has happened to me this week. I don’t think I could take it if you treated me differently.” Adrianna looked at Jamenson hoping he wouldn’t look at her in a different light—hoping he wouldn’t be afraid of her because of her abilities.

Adrianna waited for Jamenson to say something. When he didn’t, she dropped her hands from him and started walking to the house. Her mates and Jamenson could immediately smell the sorrow she was feeling.

“Hey, Adrianna,” Jamenson said as he walked toward her. “I’m sorry. It just took me by surprise, that’s all. Listen little lady, you may be the Trinity, but you will always be family. I won’t let you get too big for your britches when people start putting you up on that pedestal. I’ll be the one who will come up to you and give you a big twirl around,” Jamenson said as he picked up Adrianna and twirled her around and around.

Adrianna started laughing and hugged Jamenson. “Thanks, Jamie.”

“No problem, kiddo. Now let’s go look at your new home.” Jamenson looked back at the trees. He couldn’t believe what just happened.

Samson couldn’t believe how the inside looked. The first room from the entrance was into a room that held closets on both sides. Then when you walked further into the house you came into the living room, it was huge with a big, stone fireplace that took up most of the wall. The walls were kept natural using logs going up to the ceiling that was also done in the natural wood; the log beams on the ceiling were magnificent.

Samson looked at Jamenson and smiled. “Jamenson, you are an unbelievable artist. This house is beautiful. It’s like you took nature from the outside and brought it inside.”

“Oh Jamie, I’ve never felt like I was home until now.” Adrianna started to cry. She couldn’t control the sob that came from her. The house was home to her and she felt the connection. Cade and Samson went to Adrianna, hugging her and kissing her on top of her head. They felt it too.

“Yes, sweetheart, we are home,” Samson whispered.

Cade was conflicted. He knew his future was in Ashland with his mate, but he was Alpha of the Viston Pack. He knew he needed to meet with his people to inform them of the news, along with how he would be living in Ashland, but he was still their Alpha and he would assign people that would handle the everyday business. He hoped everybody would understand he couldn’t always be in Viston.

Adrianna looked up, saw the concern on Cade’s face, and immediately went to his side. “What is it, Cade? Do you not love the house?”

“Yes, yes, I love the house. I’m worried about the Viston Pack. They don’t know yet that I will be living in Ashland and have found my mate. Well, actually they know that I have found my mate, since I sent Declan home to instruct the Elders. Since I will be living here, I hope they will understand and be happy with the decisions I have made.”

Samson came to Cade’s side. “Cade, we will help you as I hope you will help me when I move my Clan here. I hope they will understand the decisions I have made for them too. Some may
not want to move. I will need to leave my Second in charge for the ones who decide to stay. Together we’ll get through this.”

Cade looked up at Samson and smiled as he placed his arm around his shoulder and hugged him. Samson was shocked that Cade had hugged him. He hesitantly placed his arms around Cade and hugged him back.

Then he looked at Cade and informed him, “Hey, we can’t do this a lot, or people will start to talk.” Cade and Samson started laughing, and then pulled away from each other hoping nobody saw the private moment occur.

Adrianna looked at Jamenson and smiled. Jamenson knew that neither Cade nor Samson would want him to say anything or tease them. Jamenson walked toward the kitchen area talking to Adrianna about the amenities he had put in.

As they walked into the kitchen, Jamenson started telling her what he had used to keep the same theme. The cabinets were all over two walls. They were the color of dark, cherry red and had a brilliant shine to them. The counter tops were made of granite and matched the walls and the cabinets. The refrigerator looked like something you saw in a five star restaurant. It was huge and would be able to hold a lot of food, which was good, especially since the Guards and Protectors would be living in the house. The stove was just as big and was stainless steel too. Jamenson walked over to the table that would seat approximately fifteen people. The table was striking as well; it was made of a piece of wood that looked like walnut.

Jamenson looked at Adrianna and advised, “Adrianna, I see many happy nights ahead that will house your new family. I see a bunch of kids sitting here throwing food at each other. I also see two fathers sitting at each end of the table laughing at their children.”

Adrianna smiled and laughed, telling Jamenson that she prayed she would be blessed with children. “One day Jamie, but not now. We don’t have a lot of time now. Something is coming. Something wants to destroy Ashland and us. I pray I don’t have kids until that threat is gone.”

Jamie swallowed hard and hoped they were all strong enough to destroy this evil. Because if it was stronger than Adrianna, well, he didn’t know what they were going to do. Adrianna could control the trees. Who could do that? The Trinity, that’s who.

“Have faith, Adrianna. We will fight with you. You won’t be alone and now we know we have the trees on our side,” Jamenson said innocently.

Adrianna arched her eyebrows and laughed, although you could tell she was worried. They continued with their tour, checking out the bedrooms and offices on each side of the house, and then went back to the hotel to eat dinner with everyone.

When they walked into the hotel, Jacob came up to Adrianna smiling. “Did you find you a house, Adrianna?” Cade and Samson knew it took a lot for Jacob to walk up to Adrianna. After he asked, he looked down at the ground.

Adrianna lifted his chin so he would look at her. “Yes, we did Jacob, and it’s beautiful. Thanks for asking. We have a bedroom for you as well, if you still want to be my assistant.”

It was like the sun had come out in the room when Jacob smiled at Adrianna. “You want me to move in with you and your mates? Really?”

“Yes, Jacob, we do. We want you to be part of our family.” Cade and Samson both put their hands on Jacob’s shoulders shaking their heads, yes.

“Thank you, Alphas, I won’t let you down.” Jacob then walked out of the room before he cried in front of Adrianna and her mates. Nobody had ever showed Jacob that kind of love. He finally felt as if he was wanted.

“Wow. I’ve never seen that kid smile,” Jamenson said. “While Mace was gone to get you, Jacob was helping me here working. He never complained or asked for anything. I never knew the boy had teeth because he always kept his head down toward the floor when I asked him to do something. I think it will be good for him to go and live with ya’ll. He needs a home.”

Adrianna smiled at how Jamenson used slang. Everybody in Ashland, Georgia used it. She lost that part of her speech when she left. She looked up at Jamenson smiling. “I plan on giving him a family too,” Adrianna whispered as they walked into the dining room.

Everybody was sitting at tables talking when Adrianna and her mates walked in. Adrianna smiled and walked to the table where Mace and Afton were sitting. Selena was sitting there as well when Adrianna sat down beside her.

“Well, what did you think, sweetheart?” Afton asked.

“Well, all I can say is its unbelievable. Jamenson is a king at building. We love it and plan to order furniture tomorrow and move in.” Afton smiled but looked sad. His emotions were showing and that was not like the Supreme Alpha.

Adrianna got up and went to Afton’s side then hugged him. “Sir, it’s only down the road. It won’t take me but a few minutes to get to you if something goes wrong.”

“I know, my dear. I’m acting like a father who worries for his daughter. I’m not worried about me.” Adrianna hugged Afton tighter then sat back down.

Samson looked at Selena and asked, “Selena, how powerful do you think Adrianna will be?” The question shocked everyone sitting at the table as they looked at Samson.

“I don’t know Samson. I know she has yet to tap into her real powers. Why, what’s wrong?”

“Well let’s just say, we got a taste of some of her power today.” Samson advised them that after dinner he wanted to meet with everyone at the table and tell them what happened today at the house by Seige Field.

After rushing through their dinner, everybody was escorted into Adrianna’s room. Everybody found a seat or sat on the bed waiting to hear what had happened today at the house. Samson started the story by telling them about how the wind had stopped when they got out of the vehicle. Then he explained how the trees were speaking to Adrianna and then how they picked her up. Samson wasn’t happy when he explained how the vines held him and Cade hostage until Adrianna told them to release her mates.

Everybody sat looking at Adrianna. Finally, Adrianna held her hands up and asked, “Why are ya’ll looking at me like that? You make me feel like I’m a freak of nature.”

Mace finally spoke first. “Well Sissy, you continue to surprise me. Have you always been able to speak to the trees?”

“No, well maybe. I don’t know. I thought that maybe I was imagining them speaking to me. I just kept talking, mostly because I needed someone to listen to me. Well, they’re not human, but they are alive and they never judged me,” Adrianna finished speaking then shrugged her shoulders.

“Baby, you are not a freak of nature. You are special. You have a gift. Don’t you understand that? Nobody can do that. We will have our own type of gifts but you have the kind that nobody has ever seen.” Cade said calmly. “We need to keep this among this group until the time is right. We need to start the planning phase of how to protect the town and all of us against whatever is coming. We need a plan.”

Cade and Samson pulled the small table that was in their bedroom to the middle of the room. Everybody gave suggestions on what they needed to do to protect the town and all the citizens who lived there and those who were soon moving to Ashland.

Selena sat silently listening, and then she informed the team they needed a list of people that could be trusted. As they were planning, they realized they would need others to help implement this plan. Afton suggested that as the team grew and not knowing who could be trusted at first, they would need code words in order to know who was part of the team if they had not spoken with each other.

Mace sat silently listening and giving his opinions. He never told them about the secret that Ashland held. He didn’t feel the time was right. Something told him to withhold the information until later.

A few hours later, everybody but Adrianna and her mates left the bedroom. Once Cade closed the door, Samson looked at Adrianna then instructed her to strip, in that demanding voice. She shivered listening to how Samson spoke to her. Adrianna began to undress making eye contact with her mates. Cade and Samson slowly started taking their clothes off. Samson and Cade stared at Adrianna, watching her like a predator as
it stalks its next meal.

“Get on the bed, Adrianna. Lie on your back and put your hands above your head,” Samson said.

Adrianna did as she was instructed. Samson went over to a black bag sitting on the dresser and removed two, silk scarves. He walked back over to Adrianna, showing her the scarves.

“We are going to tie you up, angel.”

Cade was already on the other side of the bed watching Adrianna, to judge how she would react to being tied up and not using her hands. Samson gave Cade a scarf and they began to tie her up.

“We need to prepare you for our mating. We will have to be together in order to truly mate. We both will bite you at the same time. Then the bond will be complete.” Adrianna just smiled and nodded her answer to Samson. Their plan was to get Adrianna’s body so wound up she would forget about the pain she would experience when they finally bit her.

Samson got on one side of her and Cade on the other side. Both started with light kisses up and down, all over her body. They never actually touched her breasts. They wanted her to beg them for their touch. Adrianna started wiggling, wanting them to touch her breasts.

“Please don’t tease me, mates,” Adrianna said as she panted.

“What do you want, Adrianna? You will need to tell us. Tell us what you want us to do,” Cade replied.

“I want you both inside me, please.” Adrianna moaned.

Samson started kissing his way down, then back up again, finally getting so close to her breast that she cried out in frustration. Both Cade and Samson chuckled but continued to kiss around her breasts. Adrianna was so tense she felt like screaming. They continued to torment her by not touching her in any of the places she wanted. The anticipation was drawing on her nerves. Cade looked up into her face and knew she was about ready to scream at them. Finally, he bent down and slowly drew her nipple into his mouth. He was tugging on it and then sucking it in his mouth. Adrianna couldn’t control the moan that escaped her. It was so loud Samson realized that Cade had stopped the torment and started giving her pleasure.
