Hayes kissed his way up my body. He hovered over me. My fingertips outlined the muscles of his strong shoulders as he balanced his weight on his arms. His cock slid easily within my slick entrance, my pussy warm and welcoming and open to him. He thrust within me.
“Is baby happy again?” he asked.
Completely spent, I nodded. There wasn’t an ounce of tension in my body. Every muscle felt relaxed as if I had just had a deep tissue massage. The orgasms had somehow cleansed me, purging me of unwanted thoughts. All that existed in my world was currently on the bed I lay on.
We rocked together as one. We came together as one. Afterwards, as we lay in each other’s arms, our hair and skin damp from our lovemaking, I asked, “What do we do?”
“Do you still want to marry me?” he asked softly.
I smiled and said, “Of course. I just don’t want to have a wedding.”
His brow knit in thought as he asked, “Is it possible to have a marriage without a wedding?”
My fingertip traced lazy circles on his bare chest. “We could run away. Elope?” I suggested, though my heart wasn’t in it.
Hayes shook his head, saying, “No. That would break the hearts of the people we love. They’ve waited for this nearly as long as we have.” He was silent for a moment, then he said, “I think I have an idea.”

Travel and Dining’s CLAS Ranch Wedding Special
Best Wedding Ever, by Eloise Smarts
Always a wedding planner, never a bride.
That was the story of Louanne Dixon’s life. Planning and preparing celebration after celebration but never participating. Watching each and every bride walk down the aisle on their perfect day—a day that she created for them—while never walking down the aisle herself.
Until last Sunday.
It was just another day in the quaint country church, Little Peak Baptist. Friends chatting on the front steps before the service. Emma and her sister Bessie fighting over who got the aisle seat. The reverend stumbling up to the altar just a minute behind schedule. But brows were raised in surprise when the first chords of the opening song were sung. Instead of ‘I Need Thee Every Hour,’ the church echoed with the words of the Blake Shelton tune, ‘God Gave Me You,’ sung by someone other than Little Peak’s baritone, Brody Jenkins.
Brody, owner of CLAS ranch and brother of the groom, was too busy for singing. He was walking Louanne down the aisle. Hayes Jenkins appeared from the side door of the church. Standing proudly with love engraved on his face, he watched his bride gliding toward him in an elegant Vera Wang gown that looked as if it were designed with her in mind. Much to the surprise of Little Peak Baptist’s congregations, Louanne and Hayes were wed on the altar of the darling country church.
When interviewed after the ceremony, groom Hayes shrugged and said, “All of our family and friends are in attendance on Sundays, so we figured, why not?”
Hayes’ grandmother, Memaw was the only one in on the secret and spent the week prior to the wedding cooking and packing up a picnic to feed the one hundred churchgoers turned guests on the lawn of the church. Big red and white checked cloths were spread over the ground as basket after basket of food were unloaded. Fried chicken, potato salad, buttermilk biscuits, all homemade, were served.
For dessert, the bride herself walked around handing out individual portions of Hayes’ famous homemade vanilla ice cream served in white ceramic mugs that proudly stated ‘Jenkins Wedding Little Peak Baptist.’ Guests were delighted to find an etching of the church at the bottom of their mugs. A parting gift to take home.
Devoted readers of Louanne’s blog, and this magazine, had lofty expectations for America’s Favorite Wedding Planner’s wedding to be the best one ever.
And it was.
Because the best wedding ever is the one that you actually enjoy.
Cheers to Hayes and Louanne Jenkins.
Best of luck,
Eloise Smarts
She was right. Wasn’t that what it was all about? In a sea of tulle and cake and high heels, one should never lose sight of the purpose of the day. Two souls becoming one. Happily ever after.
Smiling, I put the magazine down on my bed. Looking out of the window, I sighed contentedly at the sight of the aquamarine waters. I had finally made it to my white sand beach on our Tahitian honeymoon. I could now cross it off my bucket list. I grabbed my phone, opening my notes app. The last list I had made stared back at me. I read it with a smile.
Ten Things I Love About Being Married
Honeymoons. Sun, sand, sex. Margaritas in glasses as big as my face. Getting spanked on the beach in my itty-bitty yellow polka dot bikini. Heaven.
Holding hands with my husband. His white-gold wedding band wrapped around his finger like a reminder of the promises we made one another.
Being called ‘Mrs. Jenkins.’ It doesn’t make me feel old like I thought it would. It makes me feel like ‘his.’
Going to bed with my best friend every night.
Waking up next to my best friend every morning.
Married morning sex.
I never have to make the coffee again. He’s always up before me.
I never have to drive again. He loves to drive. He even fills my car with gas.
Being my daddy’s little wifey.
Knowing that as long as we are alive, we will have one another’s backs. Look out for one another. And love one another, forever.
As I scrolled down, my brow knit in confusion. Beneath my list was a new one—one I didn’t remember writing. As I read it, my heart warmed, and tears sprang in my eyes. So that’s why Hayes had demanded that as my husband he should be privy to my phone’s passcode!
Ten Things I Love About Louanne
She is my Luna, my moon goddess. I love to watch her sleep; her face is so beautiful in the moonlight, it hurts to look at.
She is the most generous, giving woman I know. She invests everything she has in bringing others joy.
Her creativity. She could throw a kick-ass party with not much more than whatever is lying around and her imagination.
The way her sweet little ass jiggles when I spank it. And the fact that she is my naughty little girl who needs and wants to be spanked.
The welling feeling I get in my chest when she calls me ‘Daddy.’ There is nothing in this world like it.
The way her nose scrunches up when she laughs. It’s beyond adorable.
The way she looked at me when we said our vows. I’ll never, ever forget it.
The spirited girl she was when we first met. She’s kept that spirit alive within her as she’s grown into an amazing woman.
Her strength. Louanne has nerves of steel and is one of the hardest working people I’ve met.
She is my baby girl. And always will be.
I wiped tears from my eyes with the back of my hand. What had I done to deserve such a man? I was the luckiest wife in the world. And there was no list I could create that would ever bring someone more joy than I felt in that moment.
Epilogue
The List: A Wedding Planner’s Complete Guide to avoiding catastrophes and creating miracles
By: Louanne Jenkins
A forward to my dear readers:
If marriage is the fabric of society, then weddings are the weaving of the fabric. And lists are the stitches that put the two together. Over the past decade I have planned and coordinated over one hundred weddings. Some, I cried tears of frustration over. Some, tears of joy. Each and every one different from the last. No two weddings are the same. No two brides are the same. And for each and every one of those brides and weddings, there have been lists.
Lists are what keep a wedding planner sane. Lists are what give a bride a center of peace during what is to be one of the most hectic times of her life. Lists offer insurance that nothing will be forgotten.
And at the end of the day, is there anything more satisfying that placing a checkmark inside a tiny box, signifying a job well done?
&
nbsp; And every box checked signals a bride taking one more step toward that gorgeous rose petal-dotted aisle.
Under the suggestion of my husband, I have complied all of those lists for you, and created a book. Use it as a roadmap to begin your journey into wedding planning. Or, have a cup of tea, browse its pages, and get a glimpse into the life of a wedding planner, through her many lists.
Happy Reading,
Louanne Jenkins
Publishers note: The List: A Wedding Planner’s Complete Guide to avoiding catastrophes and creating miracles by author Louanne Jenkins eventually made it to the New York Times Bestseller list. When interviewed about the achievement, Louanne said she was stunned, humbled, and honored. When asked how it felt for a woman who loved making lists to have her name on one of the most important lists in America, Louanne confused the readers by stating, “Second most important, actually. The first most important list my name is on is hidden away in the notes app of my phone.”

His Ranch, His Rules
Georgia Hamilton has done her best to keep her life together since her boyfriend of four years left her broken-hearted, but if she were being honest, she’d have to admit she isn’t doing great. She’s getting tipsy—if not drunk—more and more often, and now she’s lost both her job and her apartment. So when an old friend sets her up with a position complete with room and board on a ranch run by a man who looks like he stepped out of a cowboy movie, she jumps at the chance.
But there’s a catch, of course. Brody Jenkins is an old-fashioned man who believes in hard work, clean living, and firm-handed discipline. That means no drinking, and when she’s caught with a bottle of alcohol, Georgia soon finds herself sobbing and promising to be good as she is very soundly spanked and then pouring her heart out as she is gently held in Brody’s strong arms.
Brody’s stern correction leaves Georgia blushing and sore yet deeply aroused, and she cannot help longing for him to make her his. Once he does, however, she soon learns the hard way that naughty girls can just as easily be punished with pleasure more intense than they can stand.
