My Next Book Boyfriend (Book Boyfriend #1) Page 5

by Vicki Green

I quickly shut the back door and run to my bathroom, picking up my book, and then run into my room, pulling back the covers and climb into my bed. Reaching over to the nightstand drawer, I pull it open and grab B.O.B. from the hand towel that I keep it wrapped in. Placing it where I need it, I pull the covers up over me, open my book and begin to read, hoping the little mutt doesn’t disturb me until I can at least have one much needed orgasm. The hum of B.O.B. awakens when I turn it on. Yeah, he’s good like that. And I start reading where I left off.

His thumb finds my aching clit and my hips begin to buck uncontrollably. “Fuck. I love feeling you underneath me.” He breathes heavily as his length hits me hard right where I need him so much.

The hum of B.O.B. becomes muffled as I press it down harder, my legs beginning to shake with the vibration and the heat stirring within me.

I meet his movements but they become more of a struggle as my eyes move in and out of focus every time he hits that one spot, my legs weakening as my heart beats frantically.

“DREAMBOAT!” I scream and my hand presses B.O.B. down harder. Wetness pours from me as my book drops down hitting my breast hard. “OW!” I grip the sheets with my hand as B.O.B. takes me to Never-Neverland my eyes closing tight. I lay here breathing heavy, dropping B.O.B. onto the mattress in between my legs. Letting go of the sheets, my hand numb from the blood that had drained from it in its tight clasp around B.O.B., I cover my left boob. “Fuck that hurt,” I say to no one as I rub it’s tenderness from the paperback’s weight that hit it hard. The loud boom of thunder sounds and I turn my head, looking at the blind covered window, when lightning flashes behind it.

  Bawooooooooo!

  Willy!

Pushing back the covers, I put B.O.B. back in the small hand towel and put it in the drawer, then gasp when I turn around and see a huge wet spot on my mattress as I stand. “Just great!” I huff as I walk to my closet and fetch a clean pair of sheets. I’m pulling off all my now soaked sheets and mattress pad when Willy starts howling more, the sound of thunder getting louder. “Give me a sec!” Throwing them on the floor in a heap, I quickly put on clean sheets, wishing I had another mattress pad. “I guess I’ll have to get another. Serves you right for not putting the towel down before you decided to explode.” I sigh, putting my pillows back on the bed and finishing with another clean comforter. Pulling it back, neatly, I walk out of my room. By then the sounds of pouring rain is getting louder as I reach the back door. After sliding it open, Willy walks in, grumpily, gives me a mean look and shakes water all over the floor. I give him a smirk and walk to a drawer in the kitchen, grabbing a dish towel and putting it behind my back.

“I’m sorry, monster pup. I should have let you in sooner.” He looks at me warily. I walk slowly toward him and as I start to bring the towel out from behind my back he takes off in a dead run. I chase him through my condo, around the furniture, the dining table to the left of my kitchen, through my living room again and down the hallway, my feet sliding in the wetness he’s leaving on the wood floor. “Willy! Stop!” I keep screaming over and over, but he just keeps running. Damn those little legs sure can run fast. My breathing comes out in wheezes telling me just how out of shape I am as I enter my bedroom, grabbing a hold of the doorframe. I bend over, gasping for air, and look up. My hand covers my sore boob, the other on my knee as I see the trail of Willy’s small muddy footprints on my rug, my hope chest, and all over my clean comforter leading to my other pillow. He’s already curled up into a ball, not even breathing hard. The rat bastard! An idea forms and I smile. “Okay. You win tonight but tomorrow it’s a new ballgame.”

I pull off the comforter, adding it to my growing washing heap on the floor and pull down my thick blanket from the high shelf in my closet. I’m blinded for a fleeting moment as it falls on my head. I unfold it and spread it out over my bed. Turning off the lamp light, I push the button on my alarm clock to “on” and climb in under the sheets, burrowing down and turning over onto my side. I let out a loud sigh as I place my one hand underneath my head under the pillow and the other between my legs over my still stimulated cooch and close my eyes. Dreamboat’s face appears instantly, and I feel my mouth turn into a smile as I drift off.

“So I started a load of wash and had no choice but to leave the little monster inside since it’s raining so hard.” I keep rattling off my latest nightmare of a night to Molly as I drain the water from my ill-fated hair into the bathroom sink at the shop. Why didn’t I grab my umbrella before I left the house?

“Yeah but did you get off?” she yells from the kitchen, not ever so quietly. Good thing we haven’t opened yet. I’d hate to ring her neck before the day starts as I need the help.

I scrunch my hair with my hands and lower my brows as I look at myself in the mirror and sigh, feeling the wetness down below beginning as I remember. “Ohhh, yes.” I turn, knowing my hair is just not gonna cooperate and walk out the door, flipping off the light. “And then some.” I smirk as I walk over and turn on the computer, my leg moving under me as I sit down in the chair, hitting my cooch right in that exact spot. “I think last night is the hardest I’ve ever come with B.O.B.” Damn, it was good. It doesn’t escape me that I was picturing Dreamboat in my mind when it hit either. My panties are now wet from the memory.

  “Uh. Sorry to interrupt.”

Oh, my God! Please, no! Just no! No! No!

I feel the heat inside me flow up my body and over my face as I turn just enough to see Dreamboat standing in the doorway, his broad shoulder leaning against the frame, arms crossed over his chest, which pulls his t-shirt tighter showing me all his ridges and plains.

  Fuck.

  Me.

“I….” My stammer leaves my mouth without permission, and I hear laughing when Molly invades my vision of him.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” She turns her head my way, giving me her famous smirk as she continues to walk toward him. I see him give me a wink and then he starts to back up and out of my view. “I forgot I’d unlocked the door. Guess time just got away from us.”

“You’d unlocked the freaking door?” I whisper as I hiss at her.

She smirks deviously and then it changes to sincere as she turns her head to him. “Oh! We have quite the crowd out here.” Her voice begins to fade as she walks out the doorway.

  Fuck.

  My.

  Life.

I jump up, run into the bathroom and slam the door shut. Quickly I grab a dry pair of panties from my backpack, almost falling over as I push my capris off and step out of them, only to grab the counter before I crash onto the toilet seat. However I hit my forehead hard against the back of the toilet. “OW! Dammit!” I yell, rubbing my hand over the already forming bump. “Just great.” I sigh as I look at it in the mirror, standing here in only my tank top and soaked panties. I splash some water on my face and pull my long hair across my forehead. I quickly pull it around my neck, forming it into a braid and tie it off, hoping no one will notice the red hill on my forehead, and then change my panties and pants. Slipping my feet back into my tennis shoes, I walk out into the kitchen in a huff. Grabbing the sign from behind my computer, I push my glasses onto my face, pick up my apron, then march my butt out into the shop in determination to the front window and place the “Help Wanted” sign there. Standing back, I cross my arms over my chest, which only raises my girls further and let out a sigh. Satisfied that maybe I’ll have some much needed help soon, I walk through the crowd of people, my head down as I tie my apron on behind my waist, and hit what feels like a solid wall.

“Oh, shit! I’m so….” My glasses slide down my nose as my eyes travel up a pair of jeans, a slim waist, and some very sculpted abs from what I can see through a tight black t-shirt, then up and into the brown eyes of Dreamboat. I swallow hard, feeling like I have a fist crammed in the back of my throat. His hands are tight on my arms, tingles and wei
rd feelings flow through me with his touch. Heat warms my hands and I realize mine are grasping his waist. Like they’re on fire, I pull them away quickly. “Oh! Sorry!” I say quietly.

He doesn’t release my arms. In fact, his hands tighten. He looks down, his cap tipping low over his forehead as he stares into my eyes. My second pair of dry panties are now wet as I’m pressed up against him and can feel the bulge in his jeans against my stomach. And what a bulge it is. Dammit! I only brought two extra pair of panties with me. One to go. He has the brownest eyes that melt me instantly. I can’t seem to look away. It’s like I’m under his spell.

“Are you okay, Coffee Girl?” He releases one of my arms. His fingers push back some of my wayward hair that had sprung free of the braid, placing it behind my ear.

“Your eyes are so brown,” I whisper, still mesmerized.

He leans down. My eyes flutter to his mouth as his lips part. Damn those blue eyes. He’s so close that I can smell his unique odor of mint, musk, and Hot Tamales? I’d like to grab his Hot Tamale and.... “What did you say?” Aw, shit! Did I just say that out loud? I watch his grin appear and then that damn dimple. My heart beats so fast, I feel like I could be sick.

“I think your blue eyes are beautiful. Here.” Thank God! I hope that’s all I said out loud. “I like mints.” I look down as he takes something out from his front pocket and watch his hand open slowly.

A mint. A laugh bursts free as I take the candy, unwrapping it with shaky hands and pop it in my mouth. I actually love peppermints and can eat them like popcorn. I give him a smile and suck hard.

“And I love Hot Tamales too.” His grin widens.

Holy shit! I cough hard, the mint sliding down my throat as I lean forward and grab his arm…. choking.

“Oh no! Are you okay?” He pats my back as the obstruction makes it way down to the base of my throat. One harder smack to my back and it finally leaves my throat but I continue to cough until the minty flavor quits burning.

I look up into his concerned eyes and just simply nod that I’m okay. “I have to….” I swallow hard again and release his arm, taking a step back, my eyes watering. “I need to go and….” Shit! I still can’t talk when he’s around, but at least my breath has to smell minty fresh. I brush his arm as I quickly walk around him and head behind the counter.

After the fiasco of this morning, the afternoon grows quieter. Dreamboat is sitting at his usual table, tapping away at the keys on his laptop. I’m behind the counter trying to get answers from a girl to see if I want to hire her but it appears she’s more interested in Dreamboat than getting a job.

“So, have you worked at a coffee shop before?” I ask, trying not to roll my eyes.

She’s smacking her gum, loudly, and her eyes keeping shifting over to Dreamboat’s location. “Uh, yeah. I’ve worked at a couple of them.”

“I see. Mhmm.” She blows a huge bubble and pops it, sucking it back into her mouth, her eyes once again leaving me and looking to her left, her fingers tapping some kind of rhythm on the counter. “And what was the reason for leaving those jobs?”

Her annoying tapping is causing my foot to start bouncing but her eyes moving back and forth is giving me a mammoth headache. “Oh. Uh. Yeah. Well, me and the managers didn’t get along so well.”

I shift my weight, cocking out my hip a tad. “Let me guess. Your attention span wasn’t very long?”

She looks over at Dreamboat or who has now been nicknamed HT (Hot Tamale) and then back at me. “What? Oh no. I can do just about anything.” She shrugs.

Yeah, I bet she can. “Okay. Well, I have others to interview.” Which right now is a big fat zero. “So I’ll let you know. Thanks.” Buh, bye.

Her eyes move back and forth again and she finally lands them on me. “Cool. Thanks. See ya.”

I watch her turn and walk right over to HT. He stops typing, looks up and smiles. First thing I notice, no dimple. Second thing, his hands are glued to the sides of his laptop. I hear her giggle even from over here but he’s talking so quietly, I can’t hear what he’s saying. Now would be a great time to have supersonic hearing or the ability to read lips. I try to stay busy making a customer a coffee, but I’m having a very hard time concentrating. Finally, he winks at her, and she turns around with this huge smile on her face.

“Uh, Ry?” I whip my head to my left when Molly draws near. “Wanna ease up on the handle there?” I look down, coffee streaming from the spigot and overflowing the cup. Oh, my God! This has already been the longest day ever!

  Chapter 5

By the end of that horrible day, I had hired a guy that said he could do everything. Wasn’t that bad looking either, but then he couldn’t even make a simple cup of black coffee. I mean, how hard can that be? You put the freaking cup under the spigot and pour. Yep, he was gone by the end of the night. Sigh.

I make my way home after stopping off at the mall and am surprised that my condo is still clean and standing. I haul in my shopping bags, set my purse on the table inside the door, and after locking up tight I take the bags to my room. Flipping on the light, lo and behold there Willy is curled up in a little ball on my extra pillow. Of course. Setting the bags down on my bed, I make all kinds of noise taking out everything and setting it all up underneath the double windows across the room from my bed. “There.” I look at my handiwork feeling all kinds of proud. I turn my head, wondering if he’ll even like it, and walk over to him. “Willy. I have a surprise for you,” I sing-song. His little eyes open sleepily or maybe angrily. I can’t really tell. He growls as I pick up his little body but I don’t let that detour me. I take him over and put him on the ground in front of it, grab the pillow, then return and drop to my knees. After placing it inside, pushing it to the back, I sit and wait, holding my breath. He hates it. I can tell. His little head turns to me, and I swear he smirks but then he looks at it again and cocks his head. Cocks his head! Finally, he walks through the opening. My hand covers my mouth as I lean forward and watch him curl up into a ball on the pillow and his eyes close.

  Score!

I’d looked online for something that he might like to sleep in, trying to get him off my bed, and saw this small plush condo looking thing, like a castle. It’s really for cats but don’t tell him. It’s the perfect size since he’s so small. The pillow fit inside perfectly and still gave him room to move around with some of the rug on my floor as a cushion too. Let’s just hope he likes it enough to stay in it and that it muffles his snoring too.

I take a shower, getting all the muck off me from the day, and slip into a clean t-shirt and boxers. Yeah, I buy them. Don’t judge. Hey, they’re comfortable! Crawling into my bed, I pick up my book from the nightstand and get settled into the mattress. After placing my reading glasses on and finding the page where I left off, I slyly look over to my right, waiting to see if there’s any movement. Nothing. Silence. Thank God!

His luscious lips meet my clit and my hips buck uncontrollably.

My eyes shift back to the castle, blink, and then back to my book.

The flame has ignited and heat begins to build. “God, Davis!” I scream as his tongue licks through my folds.

“Folds.” I snort. “I hate that word.” I roll my eyes. “That’s about as bad as the word moist. Ugh!”

His strong hands hold my hips as he raises his head, looking into my eyes. His thrust into me is quick and hard, and I moan loudly.

I look to my right and wonder. Nah! It’s too weird with him in the room. Dammit! Even though I can’t see him, I can feel his presence. I lean over and grab B.O.B., put my finger in the book to hold my place, and hightail it out of my bed and into my bathroom to finish reading the chapter and get down to business. Laying down on the bathroom rug isn’t the most comfortable place I’ve done this but hard times come with hard choices, and it’s the best I can come up with right now. Af
ter pulling off my boxers, I raise my shirt up over my breasts, placing the book open to the page I’m reading beside me on the floor, holding it open with my tube of toothpaste and my jar of scented moisturizer. I turn on B.O.B. and place the tip where I need it the most, pressing down as my finger swirls around my nipple, my thumb joining in quickly, pinching and peaking.

He begins thrusting in and out faster, each push into me making me wetter. His mouth finds mine as he begins rubbing my clit harder, pressing it at exactly the right moments, making my legs quiver around him.

The humming of B.O.B. echoes in the bathroom but suddenly the sound lessens along with the vibration. “What? No!” I’m out of the bathroom in a flash, jog out of my bedroom and run down the hallway. Sliding on the wooden floor, I grab ahold of the kitchen doorframe, catching myself before I fall. I race into the kitchen and open my junk drawer, scouring for my batteries. “Not now. Not now. NOT NOW!” I sigh in relief as I find the package and gasp when I remove the last two. All I can think is that I need to make sure I write batteries down on my grocery list first thing in the morning. Throwing the empty package on the counter, I run back through the kitchen and down the hallway. Once I’m back in my bathroom, I sit on the rug, take out the well-used batteries, plop the new ones in and twist the lid close until tight. Once I lay down, breathing heavily from my exertion, I turn it on and press it on the place that’s already about to explode. I try to relax, picturing Dreamboat’s face and turn to read.
