My mom – I could thank you for being my biggest supporter. I could thank you for being proud of me. But right now, I have to thank you for being a licensed therapist. Thank you for your expertise in marriage counseling and how some of these techniques work. Thank you for understanding that Santos’s story had to be more indepth than “he’s a sex addict” and for helping me figure it out. The information is INVALUABLE.
Erin Noelle – A long time ago we talked about how to not lose your voice as an author. You understand my voice and you try to make it stronger. Thank you, friend, for your beautiful editing.
Kristin Delcambre – Despite an overnight job, children, tornado sirens, natural disasters, and search and rescue, you still got it done and got it done well. You are amazing. AMAZING. Don’t ever let anyone tell you you’re not.
Julie Titus – Remind me again why you put up with me? When I change deadlines to meet impossibly crazy ideas? How did I get so lucky with you? And more important, are you SURE you want to do it again? Think long and hard. I hear age only makes it worse.
Enticing Journey – No way my books would get as much visibility as they do without your help. Thank you for getting the word out!
Carter’s Cheerleaders, The Nerdy Little Book Herd, BSers – You guys are my biggest heros. You share all the laugher and fun with me which makes my days brighter. I couldn’t hang in this cut throat, on-line world without these places to relax and be real. And by real, I mean sarcastic. It’s what we do.
Laurie Darter – I was truly blessed when I ended up with a friend like you. You’re the real deal and I’m grateful for you. You have possibly the most generous heart combined with the most sarcastic wit. That, my friend, is the best combination.
The bloggers that read my books. The bloggers that let me come to their events. I still don’t get what you see in me, but I’ll do my best to treat you right. You make this book world go ‘round. Never, ever let anyone tell you you don’t.
P.S. You readers… you’re my favorite. Thank you for this life I have that’s courtesy of you. I am forever in your debt.
Mother, reader, storyteller—ME Carter never set out to write books. But when a friend practically forced a copy of Twilight into her hands, the love of the written word she had lost as a child was rekindled. With a story always rolling around in her head, it should come as no surprise that she finally started putting them on paper. She lives in Texas with her four children, Mary, Elizabeth, Carter and Bug, who sadly was born long after her pen name was created, and will probably need extensive therapy because of it.
