The large man stood and rushed over to Noah. "Yes, sir."

"You know how to drive this thing?"

"Give me the program and I can do whatever you want."

Noah loaded the program on how to navigate the transfer station, and Block put his hand on the information pad to transport the information into the chip into his head.

"Got it. Don't worry, sir. I won't let you down." He gave Noah another salute.

The respect Noah was getting from these people made his chest swell. "If you need me, I'll be in the back."

"Handle your business, sir." Block winked. "We'll be okay."

Just like at Sirius and Galax, Noah walked down a long hallway in between rows and rows of cyborgs as he held Vivian's hand.

"Way to go, Captain," one male cyborg said.

"Beautiful couple," a female cyborg responded.

"Can a human love a cyborg?" another one asked.

"Absolutely." At the end of the hall, Noah kissed Vivian again with the hoots and catcalls from the cyborgs echoing down the hallway.

This time Noah didn't mind the screams. And for once, he felt powerful and in control.

"I love you, Vivian." He wiped away a tear rolling down her cheek with his thumb.

"I love you, too, Noah. I'm like a bad penny. I keep showing up."

He hoisted her up into his arms. She wrapped her legs around his body and her arms around his shoulders.

"Let me see if I can manage not to lose you again this time."

Even with the threat of war looming ahead, as long as Noah had Vivian by his side, he felt invincible. He knew then that love was the most powerful weapon of all.

  About the Author

Don't let the 1940's-sounding name fool you! Though she may sound sweet, award-winning and best-selling erotica author, Bridget Midway writes what everyone else fantasizes about. An avid writer for all things fun, unusual and passionate, she enjoys making her readers laugh as much as she likes seeing them fan themselves down after reading a hot, sexy scene. She writes long contemporary romance, single-title romance, some light paranormal romances, science fiction, historical and erotica, all with multi-racial characters and/or with interracial romances (because when you have a box of chocolates, you have to taste each one and enjoy the differences).
