She leaned back, arching her back and bracing her hands on his thighs behind her. The first shift and move, she cried out. “Oh, that feels so good.” Such a different sensation, the way that his cock rubbed against her clit. Damn, it was good. With his hands as help, she moved faster and harder on him and then slowed, only to speed up again.
“Perfect,” he murmured. Sliding a hand up her belly, he rested it between her breasts. Then he slid it back down slowly, his thumb finding her clit and rubbing lightly at the sensitive nub. “That’s it, Hope, pick your speed and do whatever you want with it.”
She did just that. She moved in alternating speeds, her hands gripping his thighs tightly and shivering each time his hands flicked her nipples or her clit. Her inner muscles squeezed him tightly. She moved at a pace that was rapid and then agonizingly slow, but it was all to build their shared pleasure. “David.” She moved so that she was able to look at him again, her hands now braced on his chest. “I’m so close. God, please tell me you are too.” She hadn’t stopped moving as she spoke, just continued to move, continued to fight for their pleasure.
“Just, move,” he gritted out through his teeth. Cupping her ass, he helped her to do just that, meeting her thrust for thrust. One hand came up to her head and pulled her down for a kiss, hard and fast as they continued to get closer to the edge. Then he let her go as he bit out a curse and arched up under her, slamming his hips up to hers as he came.
She did just as he demanded. She moved harder and faster and when he came, so did she. She wrapped her arms around him to hold him tightly and never let go. She milked his cock for every single ounce of his semen she could get. She panted and pulled from the kiss, her eyes on his and a smile on her face. “Goodness.” It came out as only a breathy sound of a word because she truly couldn’t speak. She was far too filled with awe and joy to be able to speak much at all.
Kissing her again, he pulled her tighter and just held her as they collapsed on the bed. Stroking her back gently, he brushed back her hair and smiled against her lips. “I love you, Hope,” he whispered against her lips. Squeezing her gently he kissed her again and again.
“That’s a good damn thing, because I love you, too.” She reached for the blanket and pulled it up and around them. She held onto him and nestled in closer with a yawn. “Now I think that we should fall asleep like this, connected, as long as our bodies will allow it. What are your thoughts on this?”
“I’m always for that idea,” he said softly. Adjusting his hold on her, he held her close and stroked her hair gently. “Sleep well, Hope. I’ll see you in the morning.” Pressing another light kiss to her cheek, he tucked her in closer and relaxed with her.
Chapter Six
Waking before him had been unusual. She didn’t move, however. She lay there beside him in the comfort of his arms and watched him sleeping. With a smile on her face, she sighed happily. This was what life was meant to be. Waking in the arms of the one you loved, even though when he woke up it meant they would have to get ready for the day, and the mission. But still, she could lose herself in this moment. In this, right now.
“I can feel you staring at me,” he murmured. He didn’t open his eyes though, just wrinkled up his nose as he said it. They’d shifted slightly in their sleep, he was mostly resting with his head on her chest while her head was on the pillow. “Did you sleep well?” he asked, before yawning wide.
“I slept very well, how about you?” she asked as she ran her fingers through his hair. “I slept better than I can ever recall sleeping, especially since we are technically on a mission.” Stark truth there. “And I never will give it up. I know you won’t either, so, total score.”
“Never,” he murmured, squeezing her close. “I slept very well, better than I have in too many years to even count. And yes, we are on a mission, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a few minutes to focus on just us.”
“Good. I’m glad that we are able to focus just on us. It makes me very happy to know that we will be able to focus on being together.” She loved it actually. She loved being able to have him holding her, to wake in his arms like this. “I really think that I could get used to this.” She found she already was. The comfort of sleeping with him, the joy of waking in his arms…It was something she didn’t ever want to let go of.
“Well, we have all of today to focus on us. In between, we should likely do a little work,” he commented softly with a chuckle. “I think we should order up some room service, lounge around, talk about us and then do some work, maybe head out for something this afternoon or evening, do dinner out in our roles so we get comfortable with it in public.”
“I think that sounds like a good plan. And even if our team sees us, they will simply think that it’s just us getting into our roles.” She shrugged. “I don’t even know what to say to them. We both know we can’t keep what we have between us a secret, and I don’t want to, so what do we tell them?”
“Well, as soon as I figure out who is where in the betting pool, we tell them the truth. Gotta make sure either I profit from this or someone I know who won’t rub it in our faces does. And yes.” He lifted his head as he pushed up on an elbow. “There is a betting pool going on, been around since I think about week six of you joining the team. ’Course, back then, it was a hell of a lot more convoluted and it’s been weaned down and thinned a bit since then.”
“Are you freaking kidding me? So everyone knew? Then how in the hell did you not know how I felt about you, and how did I not know how you felt about me?” Well, now she felt like an idiot. Good lord have mercy. Everyone and their brother knew except her. That was so not good. “Well whoever it is, I still say we make them share the proceeds.”
“No, not everyone knew. Originally, the pool was to see who would be able to talk you into going on a date with them. Then about a year or so in it changed to when we’d kill one another, you and I, that is. About three years in, it changed again to when we’d either kill one another or use all that pent up emotion for something more productive, like getting in each other’s pants. Since I figured you actually had zero interest in me, given the general cold shoulder you threw my way all the time, I picked the date furthest out. Basically a snowball’s chance and all that. I just can’t remember the actual date, it’s in my phone, in my office.”
“Oh that’s so bad.” She shook her head and laughed. “I was only cold-shouldering you to keep you from knowing how I felt. I didn’t want to be booted out of the unit because I had a crush on my boss. I wanted to work with you because I wanted to keep you safe. Silly and crazy, I know, but there it is all the same.”
“I never would have booted you out,” he said. Shifting up he settled his head on the pillow next to hers. “You are too good at your job to just kick you out, darling. Besides, if you’d told me sooner we could have been doing this sooner. And yeah, you likely would have had to tell me or take out an ad or something because it’s fairly obvious, when it comes to you, I’m rather blinded.”
“Yeah well that road seems to work both ways because it seems I’m rather blind when it comes to you as well. I never dreamed that you felt the same for me as I do you. Just think if you had said no to that nap. If I hadn’t woken you, we would still be in the dark.” Which would suck.
Nodding, he smiled slightly. “I’m still sorry I woke as I did,” he said softly. “I should have warned you not to touch me without at least giving me a verbal heads up.” Reaching up, he stroked her throat gently and kissed her lightly.
“Hey, I survived it. And look, you didn’t do it this time.” She told him with a smile. “So see, these are both very good things, right? Besides, you have got to get used to sleeping with me because we will be doing it for the next fifty or seventy years.” She teased, mostly.
“You didn’t poke me, though. You just stared at me, which woke me up. And I knew you were here, in my arms,” he said. Pressing his hand over her heart, he closed his eyes. “I could feel you in my arms, and yours wrapped
around me.”
“Well then I will have to make note never to poke you again,” Hope said with a smile. “Or you could just start waking up before me. I’m sure that you could come up with some very, very interesting ways of waking me, couldn’t you?” Oh, she knew he could. That was the joy of it all.
Chuckling, he looked at her again and shrugged. “Maybe.” He grinned. Another kiss to her lips, and then he rolled away and got off the bed. He did the same stretch he’d done in her office. This time she got to see the full monty though, a much better display. “Why don’t you check out the room service menu instead of my ass and I’ll hit the head?”
“Damn, you should do that stretch again. I don’t think that you were able to get yourself cracked as you needed to.” Oh, she hadn’t gotten the view she had wanted. She had gotten up on her hands and knees, moved to the foot of the bed and watched him, a silly grin on her face as she did so.
Shooting her a look, he laughed. “Woman, are you being bad?” he asked. At her shrug, he shook his head and walked toward the bathroom. “We need sustenance to keep this up, or at least I do. I’m starving, so figure out what looks good on that menu.”
“Right. Room service.” She got out of the bed and did her own stretches. Shaking herself out of her stretch, she nodded. “All right, love. Come on. Let’s get some food ordered so that we can shower, either together or separately. I am starving though. I wonder why,” she teased, smirking as she did so.
“Well I’m starving, so separately, or we can wait until after we eat and shower together. But if we do it together ahead of time, we’ll never fucking eat. Order food,” he said and shut the door, cutting off her view of his ass. Damn shame, that.
She laughed. She couldn’t help herself. She watched the door and finally moved to the phone. Picking it up, she ordered pretty much everything on the menu for breakfast, knowing what David liked because of the sheer amount of time she had known him. When she had the food ordered, she moved to the bathroom and knocked. “Food will be up in twenty, so hurry so I can shower too, please?”
The door whipped open and his hand caught hers to drag her inside. “Good morning, sweetheart,” he said, dropping a minty-flavored kiss on her lips. Obviously the man had brushed his teeth. Hmm, good plan actually. “I’m going to hop in if you can hold off for about two minutes more.”
“Oh, that was bad of you. Kissing me when I haven’t had a chance to brush my teeth.” She leaned into him, though, and nodded. “Yeah, go ahead. I’m going to brush my teeth, and by then you should be out. Besides, this way I can watch you and ensure that you get all the places clean that need to be cleaned.” God, she loved to tease her man.
“Pretty sure I know how to shower,” he said, tapping her on her nose lightly. Stepping back, he moved into the shower stall and shut the door. Then, with a small yelp, he apparently got the water adjusted, if the muttering was anything to go by. The man did seem to talk to himself a lot.
As he showered, she brushed her teeth. She couldn’t help but grin as he continued to talk to himself. It was funny really. God, she loved that man, but there were times. “Do you always talk to yourself in the shower?” she asked, finally, after spitting and rinsing.
“Not always, just when I’m trying to remember things,” he said. Grinning at her, he scrubbed his hair before he dunked under the water. Stepping back, he shook his head and wiped a hand over his face. Turning off the water, he stepped out and grabbed up a towel. “Your turn.”
She pulled him close and gave him a minty-fresh kiss as well. Grinning when she pulled back, she winked. “Now I can shower and not feel utter embarrassment that you kissed me with morning breath.” She was teasing him and he could tell because of the light that seemed to dance in her eyes. “I will be out in like ten minutes. I take longer, sorry.”
“As is your right as a woman,” he smiled down at her. Smacking her ass as she passed him, he chuckled and moved out of her reach. “Clean up, I’ll be in the other room waiting on food. So come out whenever you are done, no need to rush.”
“Sounds good. See you soon.” She looked over her shoulder at him and grinned. “And you slapping my ass only turns me on, doesn’t get me moving faster,” she said to him right before closing the glass door of the shower and turning on the water again. Thankfully, she didn’t get the spurt of cold like David had.
“I know,” he called to her over the rush of water. He hung up the towel and then left her alone in the bathroom, only to reappear with a pair of pants on and his shaving kit. He shot her another grin as he dug around and set up to start shaving.
After she finished her shower, she stepped out and accepted another heated towel. “We are going to have to let housekeeping in so that we can get more towels. We will have to have the room swept again before we come back.” Which sucked, but there it was. “How much longer do we have before food is here?”
“If they were accurate with their timeline, about eight minutes more or less,” he said. “But I’d bet on them being early. We’re apparently very impressive people that they want to ensure are well pleased. The more pleased we are, the better we tip, I think is how that works.”
“Well yes, we are very impressive people.” She laughed as she walked to the closet and pulled out a nightgown and robe. With her hair wrapped in a towel, she moved to him. “They certainly did do us up well for our clothing didn’t they? I swear they blew the budget on these clothes.” Not that she was complaining. She liked it. A lot.
“Not really, it’s amazing what you can get your hands on when you bust a place that’s selling crack out of the back room.” He grinned and lifted her up to sit on the vanity next to him while he shaved. “The FBI lent us all the duds with the explicit instructions to ensure everything was returned exactly as we received it. Which, when we mentioned where we were going, in a roundabout manner, of course, had them wheezing painfully.”
“Oh, I can only imagine. They do love their toys, but they know all the hot spots as well and know just what we will be up against. They know that there isn’t likely a chance in hell for them to get a great deal of this back.” Which was the sad truth.
“I did tell them I’d do my damndest, but really, they got it all for free during the raid, so they aren’t out of pocket if something gets damaged.” Tipping his head up, he scraped the razor over his throat slowly. Rinsing it under the lightly running water, he grinned at her. “But I made zero promises as to what condition it would come back in.”
“Good point,” she said with a grin and watched him. “Well, we will try to get it all out in one piece, but the chances are slim to none and we both know it.” She shrugged. “Hopefully some of the clothes will make it, because they are really nice clothes and I really do like them.”
“Some are very nice indeed.” He looked at her pointedly. “That nightgown, for example, is very nice. Those stockings you had on yesterday, very nice. In fact, if we have to save anything, the stockings and this nightgown I think are the best pieces to grab.”
“I think that you are so totally right. I know I want the stockings, for sure. Those were marvelous. And this nightgown. I really like this nightgown as well.” Her hands moved up and down it lightly, a grin on her lips as she did so. “I think that we should mail these to ourselves or something.” She teased him with running her hands over the silk that covered her body.
“We could just leave them on the jet to keep them safe. It’s not like the thing will leave without us, right? So, we stash them in a carefully wrapped package, let the staff know we’re leaving it there for safe keeping and viola.” Leaning over the sink, he splashed water up on his face and then patted his face dry on a towel as he straightened back up.
“Sounds good to me.” She heard the knock at the door and moved back from him. “I will get it.” She pulled her weapon from the bedside table and flipped off the safety. She hid it in the fabric of her robe and moved to the door. “Who is it?” When they called room service she flipped open the d
oor after checking through the peephole.
When the cart was rolled in, she took the pen, her weapon still in her other hand, hidden, and signed the bill with a hefty tip for the waiter. When he left, she closed and locked the door. “Food is here.” As if he didn’t know that.
David came out, still in the towel around his hips and stopped dead. “Good lord, woman, how much food did you order?” he asked with a laugh. Shaking his head, he moved to her and lifted the gun from her fingers. Flipping on the safety, he set it on the cart and moved to the table, pulling out a chair for her. “My lady,” he teased with a grin.
“I was hungry. I worked up a hell of an appetite with someone that I know,” she said with a grin and took the chair he offered her. Waiting on him to join her, she let him uncover the food before they settled in and began to enjoy their meal together.
After they’d stuffed themselves full, David leaned back in his chair with a groan. “I really hope no one needs me to run or even move. I think I’ve worked myself toward a damn fine food coma. I can already feel the need to sleep beginning to stir.”
That had her laughing, “Oh please. We had lots of sleep last night, babe. I think instead we need to go out and shop. Remember we are starting our cover and we have to set ourselves up. We both know just the details that we have to touch on, babe.”
“Our cover doesn’t officially begin until we hit German soil but, you are right, if anyone’s got wind of our arrival on European soil, it wouldn’t hurt to at least make a brief appearance out and about. But you’re going to have to put on my socks and shoes because, quite frankly, if I bend over to do that it could end horribly for all of us. Hell, I don’t even know if I can get on a pair of pants right now.” He made a face at that.
“Are you being serious right now?” Hope’s disbelief was clear in her face. She honestly couldn’t believe that he would have eaten enough to be like this. “Are you sure that you aren’t getting sick?” Concern flooded her words. This was not like David, at all.
