He sets the pace and he’s in no hurry, despite my pleas. Thrusting, grinding, undulating like the untamed sea. The taste of sea salt with his kisses. Regardless of how slow he wanted us to go, my pulse begins to spike, my breath hitches. I hold it in. I hold it back until the feeling can’t be contained and… and… his fucking, fucking phone rings. “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” ruptures the solace of our island getaway. It’s his ringtone for Boss.
“Don’t you dare answer that, Gage St. James.”
He drops his forehead to rest against mine and huffs out an exasperated breath. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll get you there.
But Gage knows what I know, if Boss is calling during our honeymoon, then there’s trouble brewing at the compound.
