The Pleasure of Pain 2 Page 15

"Hahaha!" Layla lets out a little girly scream, mixed with a laugh as a rain drops hit the back of her neck and travels down to her spine, then her butt crack.

Then the rain quickly begins to fall. She grabs the tall black umbrella and sets it up in a hole on the roof covering her head as she continues to look through the digital scope.

"How do you always do that and know it's going to rain?" Layla asked.

"I smelled the rain in the air." Tess replied while walking to a building that had an awning, to help protect herself from the rain.

She looks over and could see Iris running towards her, in her bright yellow raincoat, trying to get out of the rain.

"Your butt probably just watched the weather channel." Iris said in a joking manner.

  Tess smiled at her.

"We're on!" Tess said as she watches the dark blue limo pull up in front of the Mosque across the street from where they were standing.

"Ummm, ladies I got heavy movement." Layla stated.

"How much?" Tess asked in the tiny two-way receiver in her ear.

"It looks bad, I just counted twenty armed hit men coming in from the left end of the block and fifteen coming from the right end, along with four black Hummer trucks that's moving suspect.

As soon as the words left Layla's mouth, a black Hummer truck crashes in two the blue wooden police barricades on both ends of the street.

A group of police officers yelled, "Freeze!" sticking out of the trucks window as they draw their weapons and aims at the Hummer truck. When no one in the truck moves or shows any sign of life, both groups of police officer's approach. They open the driver and passenger doors to see two dead men.

"Oh shit!" One of the police officers shouted as his facial expression twist up in despair as he looks at the bomb strapped to both, the dead driver and passenger's chest as the digital clock was counting down from five.

  'Boom'

An earthquake like explosion went off from both ends of the block as both trucks blow up, killing the group of police officers. All hell broke loose as twenty hit men followed by a black truck enters the left end of the block firing on police officers that were guarding the Mosque, and fifteen more enter the right end of the block. A huge gun fight had begun, with the police officers losing from being out numbered and gunned. A few of the hit men turned their guns onto Tess and Iris and starts firing on them, thinking they were police officers as well.

"Oh hell no!" Iris shouted while pulling out her glock 9mm and firing back, but the hit men were armed with chrome AK-47's.

She ducks down behind a car as bullets miss her face and crashes into the building behind her, then bullets slam into the car she was using as cover. Five bullets slam into Tess' chest and thigh, sending her flying up in the air backwards, onto the hard sidewalk's concrete. A hit man walks up to her body, to make sure he had finished her off. He grins as he looks down at her to see that she was still alive and squirming around in pain. He raises his chrome AK-47 to her face and began to squeeze the tiger until his face exploded like someone hitting a pumpkin with a sledge hammer. Brain matter and tissue flew everywhere. His body fell backwards, a stream of rain water mixed with his blood along with a few others travel down the open sewer drain on the side of the curve.

"Good shot Layla, how are we looking up there." Tess said while breathing hard.

"No matter how many times she had gotten shot while wearing her full tight fitted body armor suit it still hurt even if the bullets didn't penetrate it.

"We look fucked from up here. I'm taking out as many of them as I can, but these dudes are like roaches they keep coming." Layla replied while squeezing the trigger to the .44 magnum caliber sniper rifle, and a giant hole opens up in the center of a hit man's chest. He touches his chest in shock then puts his own hand in the huge hole. His eyes open wide as his hand went straight through easy and came out of his back. He fell face first dead.

"Okay do your thing and keep your eyes on the limo in front of the Mosque." Tess replied and realizes she had to get back in the fight, as a hit man sees her on the floor lying on her back, moving around as the rain soaks her body.

He aims and fires sending a burst of bullets into her direction, while walking towards her. Tess rolled on the sidewalk and continues to roll until she was out of the yellow bright police raincoat, then she rips off the police shirt, to reveal her black tight fitting bullet proof body armor suit. She pulls out her twin P80 rugers 9mm while still rolling. She got in a squat stand with one leg stretched out and turns her guns sideways and squeezes the trigger simultaneously. The hit man firing while walking towards her never knew what hit him as a bullet enters his left eye and comes out the back of his head and two enters his lungs and the last one went through his neck. He died before he hit the ground.

"These motherfucker's aren't assassins their just brutal fools with no style or class!" Tess shouted as she became frustrated while firing at the hit men's squad.

"Hell fucking yea, I think it's time we show these fools how to kill with class!" Iris shouted back while firing two bullets from her glock.

The bullets enter a hit man's forehead. Iris removes her yellow bright police raincoat and stood low while walking three cars down. She smiles as she reaches under one of the parked cars and pulls out a long object with a small black cover over it. She removes the black cover to reveal the six barrel Gatling gun street sweeper. Iris stood straight up and squeezes the trigger. The six barrels on the gun spins around in a circle as a hail of bullets were set free from it. Bullets slam into unsuspected hit men and a few police officers, ripping their bodies to shreds.

"Hahaha!" Iris laughs like an insane woman as she swings the Gatling gun from left to right, taking down any one in her sight.

Aamirah ducks low as it sounds like a war zone outside of his limo.

"We should be safe in here the limo is fully bullet proof." Saquer said as he sat on the limo floor next to him.

A knock at the back window startled them both. They look and could see a police officer in a yellow raincoat. They couldn't see his face because of the blue police hat with his badge number on it.

"What is he trying to say?" Saquer asks.

"I don't know, but don't think it's in our best interest to open the door." Aamirah said.

"Bomb! It's a bomb under the limo! Get out!" The police officer shouted.

"What? I think he said something about a bomb up under the limo." Saquer the personal assistant said as his heart race then he rolls down the window and wish he hadn't.

As he looks into the police officer's face all you could see was his eyes the rest of his face was covered in some kind of black steel mask. Saquer could tell by the look in the man's eyes that he was smiling under the mask. The masked man stuck a 45. caliber handgun with a silencer on it through the opened back window then squeezes the trigger twice. The first bullet tore the top of Saquer's head off the second bullet shattered his bone. Aamirah looks at his dead personal assistant's body next to him then looks at the masked man.

"Allah, Allah." he said in Arabic, as the masked man sent five shots and two quick ones in a rapid succession. The hollow point bullets rip and tore through his stomach and chest and the last two quick shots open wounds where his eyes would have been, killing him instantly.

Layla focuses her digital scope at the limo and could see the police officer with a yellow coat on at the passenger side back window. Her woman's intuition told her something wasn't right about the police officer. She focused closely and could see the steel black mask on his face.

"Oh shit!" Layla said and held her breath then squeezes the trigger, the 44 magnum sniper bullet travels at an incredible speed and slams into the masked man face, knocking him backwards to the concrete on the sidewalk.

"I spotted our target and took him out." Layla said in the tiny two-way receiver in her ear.

"Were?" Tess shouted while popping four rounds of bullets into the logo of one of the hit man's shirt then squeezes the
trigger to her gun twice and watched another hit man's body fall limp across the ground.

"He's across the street by the limo he was dressed up like a police officer." Layla said then stops in the middle of her sentence as she couldn't believe her own eyes.

The masked man had gotten up and dusts his clothes off.

"That's not possible, I hit him dead on." Layla said to herself then the masked man turns towards her and look up as if he was looking straight into her eyes.

"It's as if he can see me and knows where I am. I'm two blocks away sixteen stories high on a roof in the damn rain." Layla said to herself then gains her composure.

"The target is up and on the move. His face mask must be made of the same thing that our body armor's are made of, Kevlar mixed with Teflon, because I hit his ass dead in the face." Layla said as she squeezes the trigger again.

This time the masked man ducks before the bullet could connect with him.

"Layla what does he have on?" Tess shouted.

"He's dressed like you and Iris as a damn police officer. He's the only one with the yellow raincoat on ducking by the limo." Layla replied.

"Cover me! I'm going after him." Tess responded as she reloaded her guns.

Iris ducks behind a car with the Gatling machine gun in her hand.

"I love this thing it shoots thirty bullets a second." Iris said while smiling and stood up, firing at more oncoming hit men armed with AK-47's.

"Don't get too carried away now!" Tess shouted as she took off running across the street while firing, hitting any hit man in her sight. The one's she didn't see, Layla took care of sending bullets crashing into their skulls and chest.

The masked man known as the Shadow sees Tess running towards him firing. He stood up and removes his coat and takes off running down the block.

"Shit I can't let him get away." Tess said out loud to herself as she thought of her daughter and the only way to ever see her again is by completing this job and four more.

The Shadow ran like an athlete that's been training his whole life. As he got to the end of the block and turns the corner Tess fires at him, but the bullets missed and crashes into the building wall on the corner. Tess picks up her speed as she turned the corner making sure to keep her eyes locked on him as he brushes through a crowd of screaming people that were walking back on the block. Most of the hit men's squad was dead and police cars and vans were pulling up. Iris fires on a few of their vehicles blowing them up and sending bullets through their front window killing them instantly as bullets filled their bodies.

"Iris it's time to go!" Layla said as she sees more and more police vehicles heading towards the block.

Iris drops the Gatling machine gun and pulls back out her glock 9mm and fires at a few of the hit men's squad that was left. A group of police officers stood by her side helping her, thinking she was a cop like them because of the police uniform she had on. While they were distracted she casually walks off the block using the rain and crowd of people as cover.

Tess had lost count of how many blocks she had ran. She was in top shape from jogging every morning. She controls her breathing as the Shadow brushes pass more people and runs down stairs to an underground train station, the number 3 line. Tess quickly follows behind him. The train station was packed with screaming people, because it was 8:00 p.m. rush hour. Everybody was coming home from night school or work. Tess was glad she still had most of her police uniform on but then realizes so did the Shadow. She reached the train platform and looks both ways through the crowd of people then could see some of the people at the end of the train platform looking down into the train tracks into the dark tunnel. Tess ran down to the end of the platform and jumps onto the train tracks and took off running. A flash from the muzzle of a gun brightens up the dark tunnel. She dodged the first bullet then drops and rolls on the on the train tracks making the second bullet miss her. She pops up and lets off four shots that miss its target and bounces off the tunnel walls. The Shadow made a left turn, running down a different tunnel.

"I'm tired of this shit!" Tess shouted as anger rose through her body. She ran at full pace. She grabs the handle of the blade whip on her waist and unclips it from the holster. She flicks her wrist while swinging it. The sharp thirty-five inch chain blade wraps around the Shadow's left ankle. The long razor blades cut deep into his flesh as Tess pulls his leg from up under him, making him fall face first hard on to the dirty train tracks, making him drop his gun and slides up under the third rail. Tess pulls free her blade whip, with just the flick of her wrist and ran over to the Shadow. She stood over him with her P80 9mm ruger. She kicks off his bullet proof face mask.

"So you're the one they call the Shadow and a better assassin than my team. Hahaha!" Tess said and laughs.

"Not in this lifetime!" she said then squeezes the trigger, three bullets flew out her gun, crashing in to his face splitting it open.

"Onto target number four, Black Ice." Tess said to herself as she walks down the train tunnel.

  Hunting Black Ice

  Chapter 18

Tess, Layla and Iris sat in a silver Audi A6, in Brownsville, Brooklyn on Rockaway Avenue and Blake Street, across from a Community Center watching Michael Jr. enter the center with two women and a little boy that looks to be no more than ten years old.

"So please tell me again why are we sitting here and watching them? I'm bored out my mind. Esto no es bueno." Iris said in a thick Spanish accent.

"I told you already estupido." Tess replied in her best Spanish accent.

"Well tell me again." Iris said while rolling her eyes with an attitude.

"Okay, this is a package contract, the F.B.I. want us to kill Black Ice and his two sons. They claim that the sons are just as deadly as their father." Tess replied.

"So why we just don't kill the sons now and move on to our next target the Banger brothers?" Iris asked.

Layla just shook her head and continues to stare out the back tinted windows and thinking of her true love Damou, It was killing her that she was in Brownville and couldn't see him or even tell him that she was alive and well.

  "Ughhh!" Tess sighs.

"Because Iris, no one knows how to find Black Ice not even the F.B.I. or police department. No one can find him. The only connection to him is his sons. No matter how long he disappears for, he always returns for his sons, that's when we will make our move." Tess replied.

"It seems like the F.B.I. has us taking out people they're scared is going to rise in power like the first five contracts, the black senator, now Michael Jr. I can understand Black Ice but not the sons then it's the Banger brothers. They brought Crips and Bloods together as one. So why does the Fed's want them dead?" Layla asks.

"Schmmp! I don't give a fuck! I'm tried of sitting in this damn car. Let's just kill something already." Iris said while sucking her teeth and pulling out her 9mm glock and steps out the car.

Tess grabs her arm before she fully steps out the car.

"Slow your roll, there are children in that Community Center and we don't know what we're dealing with yet." Tess stated.

"Take your damn hands off of me Tess!" Iris shouted yanking her arm away. I'm a grown ass woman and will do as I please." Iris said.

"Stop acting like that, we need to stay focused to get our daughters back, this isn't the time to wild out." Tess replied.

"Whatever, I'm out!" Iris said and hops out the car and puts her gun away as she walks down the block.

Tess watches her until she was out of sight.

"Ever since you stopped giving that woman some coochie, she's been acting up and has an attitude about everything. One would think she was more concerned about getting you back then her own damn daughter." Layla stated.

"Please don't talk bad about her. I won't allow it and I'm the same way when it comes to you. Iris is my best my best friend we're all going through a lot." Tess replied.

"Yes we are but you don't see me betraying you or joining the Asian Mafia like Vanessa and
storming off like Iris, who probably is going to go missing in action, like she always does, for God knows how many days. Shit my ass is loyal. I been in New York for a week now and haven't seen or contacted Damou, and out of all the people in the world, you should know how I feel about him. To me he is my Bless and love of my life." Layla said frustrated.

"I know you're loyal, you have to trust me, I know you have most of your life. I ask you to continue to bear with me." Tess replied.

"Okay Tess, you know I will." Layla responded and lowers her head then heard a knock at the passenger window.

Layla and Tess both look over expecting it to be Iris, but it wasn't. Marina stood there in a black pant suit with a worried look on her face. Tess unlocks the car doors and she hops in.

"What is it now? We're on our job so I can get my child and niece back from you monsters." Tess said with an attitude.

"Tess we don't have time. I think they followed me." Marina said.

That was all Tess needed to hear as she started up the car and pulls off.

"Wait, who's following her and we're not going to wait for Iris?" Layla asked with a confused look on her face as she sat in the back seat.

"The F.B.I. might be following her. Look behind us and check. Let me know if you see anyone tailing us and Iris will find us, she always does." Tess stated as she steps on the gas speeding down the Brooklyn streets.

"Why in the hell would the F.B.I be following her, ain't she a Federal Agent?" Layla asks.

"There's a lot you don't know Layla." Tess said as Layla picks up her sniper rifle with a silencer on it, off the floor as she spots two Tahoe trucks following them.

"Marina what's going on?" Tess asks.

"The F.B.I. is planning to double cross you and your team, after you finish the other four jobs. They never planned or giving you your daughter back or Iris' daughter. I overheard them say they will give you a fake address to pick the children up and once you and your team was inside the house they will blow it up and surround the house with F.B.I. tactical agents just in case one of you manages to escape." Marina replied.
