Summer’s End Page 2

“Wow,” she said in return. “Sometimes we have to cull through a lot crap in this adventure, but when it works, it really works. Those two are a couple of gems.”

“Absolutely. Hopefully, we can hold onto them for a while.”

Jen shrugged. “It will be what it will be. Nothing is forever.” She kissed him deeply. “Except us. Why don’t we go to bed? I’m exhausted.”

“No replay of the evening? We usually do.”

She shook her head. “Not now. I’m going to brush my teeth and crawl under the covers. By morning, I should be good to go again. Then we can regale each other with the highlights of our evening and see if the juices will flow again.”

“I’d wager they will. Don’t think I can replay this evening without getting a hard on, and I expect you’ll be creaming as soon as you remember Angelica’s tongue on your clit.”

“Stop it,” Jen said, heading to the bathroom. She looked over her shoulder with a faint smile. “Save it for morning.”

Laughing, Brett started turning out the lights.

  * * * *

Thursday morning, Sarah sat at the Andrews’ kitchen table trying not to fidget. She glanced at Brett and Jen sipping their after breakfast coffee and winced. They’d had such lovely playtimes during the last few days and nights—she hoped what she was about to say wouldn’t spoil everything. But she’d made her decision. She had to do this her way. She hoped her hosts would understand, especially Jen.

“You look quite pensive this morning,” Jen said, peering over the rim of her coffee cup. “Did we overdo it last night?”

  Sarah shook her head.

Jen grinned. “We did have you bent in a pretzel toward the end. You’ve become quite fond of double penetration.” She paused briefly. “Maybe this afternoon or tonight, you and Brett can do that, with me as the beneficiary.”

Brett cleared his throat, interrupting his wife’s chatter. “So what’s bothering you, Sarah? You’re not usually this quiet. Is it about having to go back home in a few days, or is it more than that?”

Sarah heaved a sigh. “More. I’m worried about Ryan.”

“What?” Jen asked. “I thought he was fine. I just called Donna while I was making breakfast. It sounded like Ryan has made a full recovery. Donna was joking about the party and how much Ryan is looking forward to it.” Jen winked. “And to finally having some time with you.”

“That’s just it. I don’t want to overdo it with him. He’s just recovered from surgery. What if…”

“Oh, my.” Jen covered her mouth. “I never thought about that. He has his doctor’s approval to resume sexual activities, and Donna let me know they tested things out last night. He’s good to go.”

“But…I need to be sure.” Sarah felt herself flush. “I don’t want him to get overly excited and over exerted. He’s been so looking forward to doing me all summer long. I don’t want him to get too worked up. I’m not comfortable playing with him for the first time with everyone watching. We need to go very slowly. I need to be certain he’s okay, or I’ll never open up for him. And after all that’s happened this summer, I don’t want Ryan to think I don’t want him.”

“So what do you suggest?” Brett asked, glancing awkwardly between her and Jen.

“I hope you’re okay with this,” she said to Jen, “but I’m going to call Donna after breakfast. I want to spend Friday night over at their place.”

“Just the three of you?” Jen squeaked.

Sarah nodded. “I’ve given this a lot of thought. I think that’s best. I spent months with Matthew after he got his diagnosis helping him stay sexual with me for as long as he could. Being with Ryan is not going to be easy, but I don’t want our first time to be in a party atmosphere. And Donna will be there to help if we get stuck. I know you guys are best friends and I love both of you dearly, but this is how I want to do this. It doesn’t have anything to do with you. It has everything to do with me.”

“Okay,” Jen said, her voice quaking. “I don’t fully understand why you need to do things this way, but I trust you’re doing what’s best for you, and that’s good enough for me.”

Sarah brushed away tears. “And you, Brett?”

“I’m fine with whatever you need to do. We love you. You know that. But we don’t want to box you in, in any way. Besides, we have lots to do to get ready for the summer’s-end party.”

“Thank you. I’ll make sure I’m back early Saturday morning to help get ready for the party. I think I need to spend some time on my laptop. I’ve already got students emailing me with problems even several weeks before classes begin.”

  * * * *

With her heart doing stutter beats, Jen watched Sarah take her coffee cup to the sink and leave the kitchen. “Goodness,” Jen said to Brett, “why does this feel so much like launching one of our daughters? She doesn’t need us. Moreover, she doesn’t want us to be present when she fucks Ryan for the first time. Just Donna.”

Brett covered her hand with his. “Don’t let it get to your ego. She wasn’t with us Sunday night when we fucked our brains out with Angelica and Rico.”

  “No, but this is different.”

  “How so?”

“She’s going to spend the night with our best friends…without us.”

  “So…”

“I don’t know.” Jen let out a pent-up breath. “I guess it is what it is. She’ll be back with us for a couple days and then I don’t know when we’ll see her again.”

“We have to work on that. Before she leaves, we’ll have a plan for the next couple months or so. She’s not leaving us. She’s going on with her life.”

Jen nodded, trying not to blubber. “I just hope we’re still part of her life.”

“I don’t see that changing any time soon. And I’m sure Donna and Ryan can help her work through whatever is niggling at her at the moment.”

“They better,” Jen harrumped. “They’ll have an entire night to do it.”

Late Friday afternoon, with arms folded tightly across her body, Jen stood behind the lace curtain of their bedroom and watched Sarah slowly make her way across their yard to enter the Powers’ front lawn carrying a little overnight duffle. She’d tried her best to understand, but had been afraid to ask more questions of Sarah. And Sarah had offered no further explanation of why she thought it was so important that she spend the night with Ryan and Donna…alone.

Jen let out a sigh. Only three more days and their house was going to feel so empty. Maybe she’d gotten too accustomed to having a summer houseguest—especially one as lovely as Sarah Creston. She closed her eyes. The summer was ending. She opened her eyes to see Donna welcoming their overnight visitor with a hug.

“We’ll be okay,” Brett said softly, coming up behind Jen to hug her close. “Sarah’s going to be okay. We’re all going to be okay.”

“I know,” Jen murmured. “But I still don’t understand why she has to do this by herself.”

“It’s how she wants it. That’s what matters. We’re not in her shoes. We don’t really know what all Ryan’s heart attack has stirred up for Sarah. Clearly she’s still working through stuff involving her husband’s illness and death.”

“I wonder if she even knows. She’s been so distant—that’s the part that hurts.”

“We gave her the chance to be on her own last night, but she chose to sleep with us. She’s not rejecting us. You know that.”

“I do. My head knows that. My heart…well, my heart is my heart. Even our lovemaking with her last night seemed strained.”

“She’s nervous. She’s nervous about making love with Ryan. And I imagine she’s nervous about how we’re handling all of this. At least we have one more day to work things out with her before the party.”

“That’s a blessing.” Jen brightened. “I’m so pleased Angelica called to let us know what their problem was. Since we intended a small party anyway, Sunday night works just as well as Saturday.” Jen turned away from the window to face her husba
nd and wet her lips. “I’ve already checked with Alice. They can do Sunday, and Donna said another day could only help Ryan.”

“Guess he’ll have another day and night to recover from whatever happens tonight.”

Jen shrugged—she didn’t want to go there. “I’ve got so much to learn about horseracing. Guess it makes sense that Angelica and Rico would be able to get away Sunday night better than Saturday, since they don’t have racing on Monday. I’m really looking forward to seeing them again.”

“Good. Me, too.” Brett kissed her forehead. “Maybe you and I should spend some of the evening going back over how Angelica and Rico rocked and what we might want to do with them Sunday. I’ll bet Carl and Alice will love our newest playmates.”

“I know they will.” Jen pecked at her husband’s lips. “I know what you’re trying to do. And given that I’m already creaming, it may be working. Fantasizing about Angelica and Rico should be a nice distraction for the evening. Why don’t we spend some time in the Jacuzzi with a bottle of wine and a little cheese and sausage?” She squeezed his semi-erect cock through his trousers. “And later I’ll want you to put this sausage in my ass. That’ll even make for a better distraction.” She giggled. “You know what I’m looking forward to most on Sunday night?”

  “I wouldn’t dare guess.”

“Angelica riding Carl’s bald head. She’s going to go ballistic.”

Brett roared with laughter. “You should’ve been a choreographer.”

“I am. Can’t you tell?” she said, wiggling her butt and heading out of the bedroom. “I’ll get the cheese and sausage. Why don’t you pour the wine?”

She stopped to shrug off her dress. She glanced back at Brett, “You coming?”

“I am,” he said, reaching for his belt buckle. “I’ll be right behind.”

“I hope so,” she murmured. This kind of play was exactly what she needed to keep her from perseverating about what her best friends and Sarah were up to next door.

  * * * *

“This is perfect,” Sarah squealed, rising nearly off of Ryan’s cock and letting the hot tub water support most of her weight. She turned around enough to check on Ryan, who returned her smile. “I wasn’t sure a condom would work in the water, but it seems to be doing okay.”

“More than okay,” Ryan said in her ear, his fingers tugging on her taut nipples. “Now that I’m in you, why don’t you settle back down on my lap and just lie back against me for a bit? I don’t want to rush things, and I doubt I’ll be good for more than one round tonight.”

“There’s always the morning,” Donna said, stroking her husband’s hair with one hand and Sarah’s with the other. “I’m so happy you decided to spend the night with us, girl. Ryan looks so pleased holding you like this. I can’t tell you how often we’ve fantasized about this moment.”

“Me, too. And I’m so pleased you both understand. I know how this entire heart attack experience had to be so traumatic for both of you.” Sarah shivered as Ryan hugged her tighter. “I wasn’t aware of the trauma it dug up for me until I started thinking seriously of this moment…of actually fucking Ryan after his heart scare. I’ve had to go back and sort out some things left over with Matt.”

  “I’m sorry,” Donna said.

“Don’t be. The grieving never goes away entirely. And don’t get me wrong, Matt would definitely approve of me playing with both of you. He wanted me to go out and find a lover before he died, but I refused to do that.” She reached between her legs to squeeze Ryan’s balls. “Don’t go soft on me.”

“I won’t,” he declared, flexing his hips easily and driving his stiffening cock deeper with each stroke.

“Better. Much better. But I want to do most of the work—that’s the point.” She reached out and cradled one of Donna’s boobs in both hands. “Matt also wanted me to explore my bisexuality. We talked about that a lot. I wish he could’ve witnessed this. I so wish my tits were like yours.”

“You have lovely tits,” Donna said. “They make my mouth water.” As if to emphasize her point, she leaned over, pushed her husband’s hand away and took Sarah’s right breast easily into her mouth.

“Oh,” Sarah moaned, scrunching farther down on Ryan’s cock. “You guys are so good. I was afraid you wouldn’t understand. I couldn’t bear Ryan suffering a setback because of me. But this is so exquisite. I’m glad you thought of the hot tub, Donna. Nobody has to be very athletic out here.”

“A hot tub has lots of benefits,” Ryan said, cradling her butt and lifting her fractionally, letting her rise and fall easily on his shaft. “This hardly takes any effort at all—yet it feels fantastic. Damn, you’re tight.”

  “Never had kids,” she explained.

Donna kissed her, wedging her tongue deep into Sarah’s mouth. Sarah suctioned Donna’s tongue in even farther until Donna groaned. And then she heard Donna chuckle as she felt the woman’s hand drift below the water until it located Sarah’s clit.

Sarah closed her eyes and let the warm water lull her senses. Her lips parted in a smile when Donna’s fingers lazily stroked her clit, matching the movement of her husband’s hips. Slowly, very slowly, Sarah sensed that internal tightening and loosening only to retighten again, coiling and threatening to erupt.

“That’s right, baby,” Ryan said softly, “come for us. We’ve waited a long time for this. No one’s in a hurry. Just let it happen. I can feel you clenching. It’s building. I’m hardly exerting an ounce of energy, but you’re going to explode. Soon. Hold on as long as you can. Make it a big one. You deserve it.”

Donna continued working her clit as if it were a small cock. She broke their long kiss at last, giving Sarah a chance to gasp for air. Donna grinned at her. “You’re on the edge, aren’t you? Sometimes slow is better.”

Sarah nodded. “Oh, yeah. This is amazing. So easy. So smooth.” If she were a balloon she’d be about ready to burst. Just a little more.

“Come for us, babe,” Ryan encouraged. He squeezed her buttocks. “Feel my hard cock. I can still get it done. No need to worry. Easy, girl. Let go. You’re in good hands.”

“Oh hell,” Sarah yelped, leaning forward and thrusting back to match Ryan’s quickening pace. “Oh, yes.” She couldn’t hold back a laugh. Donna’s fingers continued stroking her clit as Sarah clenched and re-clenched her inner muscles.

“Damn,” Ryan bellowed into the night. “She’s got me coming. Damn. I didn’t expect that. So easy.”

“She’s good, dear,” Donna said, leaning over to kiss her husband. “I can feel her milking you even now. Doesn’t that feel good?”

“Hell, yes. But I wanted to last longer.”

“Another time,” Sarah giggled. “You sound so much like Matt. He wanted to take care of me but was often self-conscious if I wanted to take care of him. Please accept my gift just like I’m accepting your gift and Donna’s. This was lovely. I will remember this night forever.

“And the night’s not over,” she added, shifting slightly to kiss her hostess. “Your turn, next. I realize I’m the guest, but I suggest that after we recover enough strength to climb out of the hot tub, we head to your bedroom where I bet your husband would appreciate a little girl-on-girl play without having to turn on a DVD.”

“A great idea,” Donna said. “Let’s take our time, though. Look up at the stars. The sky has darkened since we came out. I think the Perseids are blessing us tonight. If you watch closely, you’re likely to see lots of shooting stars. I’ve seen several already but didn’t want to disturb you.”

“Jen said you and she could be rather mystical at times.” Sarah settled back in Ryan’s arms to watch the night sky come alive. “I like that. A lot.”

  * * * *

Jen diced another raw carrot as she listened to Sarah’s account of her night and morning with Ryan and Donna. She hadn’t expected such a thorough accounting, but apparently Sarah needed to share almost as soon as she returned to the house. Knowing that Sarah was trying to make things right
again amongst all of them, Jen tried to be as patient and understanding as she could.

“So, I guess I understand why you thought you needed to be with Ryan and Donna by yourself.” Jen put down the knife and turned to face Sarah directly, waiting for more of a response than she’d gotten so far. Jen placed a hand on either side of Sarah’s head. “Don’t worry. I’ll always be here for you. Brett and I talked a lot last night. You’re your own person. I’m just so happy we get to share you.” With that said, she pulled Sarah into a kiss. Soon she deepened the kiss, seeking Sarah’s tongue. Sarah did not disappoint, sliding her tongue back and forth over Jen’s.

“Thank you,” Sarah said, breaking their kiss. “You don’t know how happy that makes me. I was so afraid I was going to lose you, but I had to do last night my way.”

“I know. And it sounds like it went very well. Fucking Ryan in the hot tub was a super idea.” Jen smirked. “Buoyancy can help a lot. Did you come up with that idea?”

Sarah shook her head. “Donna did, after she and Ryan listened to why I was so anxious about hurting Ryan. This morning I was able to ride him while he lay on their bed. I don’t think I could’ve done it that way last night. He’s not as fragile as I expected. After we cleared the breakfast dishes, he finished in me doggie style with me leaning over the kitchen table. I felt much better letting him set the pace.” Sarah shivered. “I was amazed at the pace he set. With Donna playing with my clit, they had me screaming my head off.”

“I bet you were,” Jen replied, surprised she felt no jealousy. “You’d better stop. You’re turning me on, and we don’t have time to play now.”

“I know.” Sarah ran her fingers through Jen’s hair. “I’m so glad you’re okay. And I’m so looking forward to tonight. Last night and this morning I had sex and it was very good. Tonight I will make love with my two closest friends and that will be lovely. I know it will.”

She brushed back tears. “I feel like I’ve finally exorcised a ghost.”
