When he began to push deep inside her, seeking his own release, she didn’t think she could bear it. But her body surprised her. The world began to spin again, bursting apart just as his orgasm hit. With a low sound, he collapsed on top of her.
Brushing his lips across her collarbone, he asked, “Am I getting heavy?”
“No,” she lied. She didn’t mind his weight. It felt good to hold him.
“You’re a terrible fibber.” He chuckled and rolled off her, taking her with him so that she lay on top of him. He tugged a blanket over them. “You’re a lot smaller than me.”
“I’m not.” No one had ever called her small, not with her curves.
“Yeah,” he replied gruffly. “I didn’t realize how little you are.”
“I’m not at.” She wiggled her hips suggestively. “And neither are you.”
“You’re perfect.” He smoothed a hand over her ass. “And I’m getting bigger as we speak.”
Rayanne laughed. “Oh, yeah? Already?”
“Already, baby.” His erection under her thigh proved his statement.
After a few moments of silence, Rayanne brushed his balls with her fingertips. Their gazes met and locked. “About your wreck….I’m sorry.”
“Don’t,” he interrupted roughly. “Not now.”
“Okay. But if you need to talk—”
“I don’t.” He softened his tone. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.”
She rested her head on his shoulder, pressing her body against his—as if she could absorb some of his hurt. After a long minute, he relaxed against her, wrapping his arms back around her, his hands brushing her behind. His large, strong body trembled. He might not want to talk about it, but he was willing to let her hold him.
Rayanne inhaled the scent of his warm skin, which smelled faintly of woodsy soap. Her fingers stroked his short, cotton-soft hair, the gesture meant to soothe, not excite. But abruptly he pulled back a few inches from her. Surprised, she opened her mouth to speak. She never got the chance as he covered her parted lips with his. He didn’t nibble, brush or tease. His mouth assaulted hers, taking her so much by surprise she could do nothing but acquiesce. She parted her lips as his tongue took possession of hers, dominating, demanding a response.
It didn’t take much urging until she met his challenges. Her body warmed, melted. This man was the only one she’d ever wanted, she desired only him. No one else would ever meet his measure in her eyes.
He cupped her bottom, molding her to him as his erection pressed against her belly. A little moan of pleasure escaped her. She was affecting him the same way he was her. He placed a palm over her breast and let it lie there as her nipple peaked under his hand. Her entire body reacted, arcing like a hot wire. She needed her bare skin against his. Another minute would be too late.
She rose to roll over onto her back and he shook his head. “Ride me, baby.”
Flushing, she wiggled into position and he reached between them to guide his erect penis into her waiting crevasse. His thumb slipped over her clit and her entire body tightened. He took hold of her hips, urging her to rise and fall on his cock.
Rayanne had never felt anything so exquisite in her life. Her entire body came alive. Felt on fire. She dug her nails into his chest, holding on as her stomach began to tighten. The dim light from the hall hit her new engagement ring, making it throw sparks.
Luke thrust hard into her. “Come for me, baby.”
His words, his guttural voice, rocked her.
When he filled his palms with her breasts and flicked his thumbs over her erect nipples, she cried out, unable to hold it in any longer. “Luke!”
“I’m right here,” he growled, his hands tightening on her breasts.
Throwing back her head, Rayanne let out all the emotions she’d been holding in and screamed. “Luke! Oh my God!”
The shockwaves hit hard, fast and so intense she felt as if she might shatter. Her body, her soul melded with his in that moment in a way she had never experienced.
Moments later, his own release came. He gripped her hips so hard she knew she would have bruises in the morning.
Rayanne slumped over him, her hair in his face, too limp to move it.
Luke brushed her hair back. “You okay, baby?”
“Uh-huh.”
He chuckled. “That good?”
“Amazing.” She leaned forward and brushed her lips over his.
“You’re something, you know that?” His arms tightened around her waist.
“Something good?” she asked tentatively. “I’m not very skilled at lovemaking—”
He silenced her with a kiss. “I’ve never had better. And I never will.”
“You mean that?”
“Every word.” He made an X across his heart. “I promise.”
“I love you so much.” Rayanne swiped at a tear.
Luke brushed his thumbs under her eyes. “Hey, if making love is going to make you cry, maybe I’m not doing it right.”
She giggled through her tight throat. “You were perfect.”
“Practice makes perfect.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
Her eyes widened as he stirred inside her. “Again?”
He rolled her over and looked deep into her eyes. “Gotta show you how much I love you. And that’s gonna take forever.”
“Forever.” Rayanne’s heart soared. She’d found her cowboy to love.
