  Chapter Six

  Kota

Vanessa had been behaving quite strangely the next morning. All during breakfast, she was moody and melancholy. Moreover, she would not admit to Kota as to what was bothering her.

Kota wanted to stay with her after breakfast to try and cheer her up, but he had to tend to his duties. He had flowers sent to her while she was being assessed by Bertha, hopefully that brought a smile to her face.

Kota had a break around midday and he went to bring Vanessa some lunch. She was sitting in the infirmary courtyard and looking out at the beach. That same melancholy expression on her face.

“Vanessa, I do not like to see you like this. What is troubling you?” Kota sat the plate of food down on the bench next to her and knelt before her to take her hands in his.

She wore one of his flowers in her hair and he smiled. He would have to make a note to send her more flowers from then on.

“I just woke up homesick is all…” she was sick of her home? Her old home or her new one? Kota grew briefly frustrated, they had made real progress, and she placed her hand on his arm.

“It’s a saying that means I miss my old home,” she explained simply. Kota breathed a small sigh of relief. She still missed her home and Kota didn’t like to see her sad. Angry he could handle, but her being sad, it cut him to know she was suffering because of something he did to her.

“I can take you there…for a visit if it would make you feel better,” Kota said slowly. Vanessa brightened almost instantly when Kota said this, before her face fell slightly once more.

“You can’t go today, you have all those things to do…the festivities of the graduation…” Vanessa gave a small sigh and stood up.

“It’s fine, it’s just a little nostalgia I’m feeling—I’ll get over it.” Kota stood with Vanessa and shook his head adamantly.

“Don’t think of it. We can go now.” Kota slid his transference device from his pocket and placed it on the floor in front of him. He encircled Vanessa’s waist with his arms and stepped on the pedal, thinking of her home on Earth. They appeared a moment later in her old living room.

Vanessa gasped and her eyes widened as she took everything in. “My house! It was really that easy to get here?” Vanessa asked him in amazement and Kota nodded.

“With this device only. So what about your home was giving you the homesickness?” Kota asked her in concern.

Vanessa gave him one of those tender smiles and she collected a few pictures of her family from the mantelpiece over her fireplace.

“This…I miss my family Kota.” Kota hesitated to reply. She could not make contact with her family it would change things drastically. “Can I maybe…call them?” Kota shook his head at her question.

“I’m sorry Vanessa, but that would change the pretenses of your being absent from this world. Not to mention, I would be breaking several laws if that happened.” Vanessa seemed troubled at Kota’s words.

“Could we maybe just…see them from afar then?” Kota nodded; that he could do as long as no contact was made and she was not seen by any of her loved ones.

Kota was just about to direct Vanessa return to him so they could use the device to travel, when Vanessa’s front door was unlocked. Kota moved quickly. He picked up the device and pulled Vanessa into a discreet corner of the dining room, it was open to the kitchen and living room, so they would have a good vantage. Kota willed it so human eyes would not see them.

“I just can’t believe…she’s really gone,” A woman who sounded vaguely like Vanessa said with a sob as the door opened.

Kota recognized the older woman instantly as Vanessa’s mother they looked almost identical. Vanessa’s best friend Cassandra and four men that were tall for humans followed her in. They must be Vanessa’s family. Come to pack up her things as to them, she is most likely dead.

Vanessa covered her mouth with her hand as she began to shake. Kota didn’t know what he’d do if she ran to them. Kota slipped his hand around her waist and held her against him securely.

Vanessa’s family was talking about her, as if she was indeed dead. When the first tear fell from Vanessa’s eyes to Kota’s arm, he realized he had to get them away from her family. Otherwise things would end badly, he could feel the coming confrontation. Kota silently slipped the device to the floor and stepped on it. They were back on Titus and Vanessa cried out in shocked protest.

“No! Take us back, please Kota, bring me back, I just want to see them.” Kota gently took the picture frames away from Vanessa before she dropped and ruined them. He set them down carefully on a nearby bench. They had returned to the infirmary courtyard.

“I cannot Vanessa, that was too close and you are worse than you were before I took you to Earth.” Vanessa wiped her eyes and shook her head at Kota.

“No, I’m fine see? Please take me back Kota, they didn’t see us…” Kota took a deep breath and studied Vanessa closely.

“You want to return to Earth, don’t you?” It pained him to ask, but the answer was written all over her face. If she said yes, Kota needed to prepare himself for leaving everything in Titus behind.

“You would come with me?” Vanessa asked hopefully, with tears in her eyes. Kota would do anything to keep her happy, his own happiness depended on it and he wasn’t afraid to admit that now.

“If it would make you happy Vanessa, then I will. I won’t put my duties above you…you are my soul mate.” Vanessa’s saddened frown broke into a grin and then she perplexed Kota by shaking her head.

“You really do love me, don’t you?” Kota nodded fervently.

“More than my next breath Vanessa, you’re my soul mate. I would do anything for you, truly…and I even sent you flowers.” Vanessa giggled and she hugged Kota. He wrapped his arms around her tightly. Kota had to admit that he was unsure of their future on Earth, but he knew he’d be happy wherever Vanessa was.

“They were beautiful flowers.” Kota held Vanessa for as long as she needed and after a comfortable moment she pulled away from him.

“I love you too Kota, and I wouldn’t make you leave your home. Titus has become my home now too and my family has each other back on Earth.” Kota could not deny that he was relieved beyond measure that she was choosing to stay.

He then realized she said she loved him and his chest felt as if it swelled to twice its size. A joyful grin spread across his face and he picked Vanessa up, twirling her around on a giddy impulse.

“You love me? You accept that we’re soul mates now?” Kota asked her in earnest and she beamed at him while nodding.

“Yes I believe it. One doesn’t just give up everything you have to make his wife happy…unless she’s his soul mate.” Kota laughed joyously. He’d done it; he had won Vanessa’s heart!

“Are you truly happy? No more tears?” Kota asked her and she reassured him that she was fine.

“I have you now Kota and…we can make our own family. Now can we go to the bedroom and consummate like bunnies?” Kota laughed, he actually understood that reference.

“Yes,” Kota said eagerly while he all but threw Vanessa over his shoulder and ran to their bed. She couldn’t stop giggling and the beautiful sound fueled Kota even more.

Kota deposited Vanessa on the bed and she looked up at him with a heated gaze. “Are you fond of this clothing?” Kota said while he fingered the rather flimsy dress she wore.

Vanessa shook her head and Kota took that as permission to tear the confining clothing from her body.

Once her supple body was bared to him, he had to practice restraint. He wanted to open her legs and plunge himself into her wet heat, but he needed to make sure she was ready for him first.

Kota divested himself of his own clothing and stood fully naked before her. His heavy sex already straining towards her.

“Kota…you’re—it’s so big.” Vanessa’s tone was equal parts awed and unsure.

“Do I frighten you?” Kota asked because he was suddenly unsure of himself.
r />   “No Kota, I want you.” Vanessa wrapped her hand around Kota’s hardened sex and gripped him firmly while she pumped her hand along his shaft.

Kota groaned and swayed towards her with the gusts of pleasure that engulfed him. He closed his eyes as she continued to stroke him.

Kota’s eyes flew open when he felt Vanessa’s silky and warm mouth slide down the ridges of his stomach. She kissed and sucked her way down to where her had was stroking.

Kota held his breath as her mouth closed around the head of his sex. She swirled her tongue around the throbbing sensitive flesh and pushed her tongue against it before sucking him deeper into her mouth.

“Vanessa…” Kota hissed her name as the pleasure of what she was doing to him rippled out to the very tips of his fingers. His chest heaved as Vanessa’s delicious mouth slid back to tease the tip and then sucked him deep once more.

Kota’s orgasm came hard and fast, surprising himself, as he emptied his release into Vanessa’s mouth. Vanessa shocked Kota even further by sucking him clean.

“You taste like caramel,” Vanessa said on a purr.

That was all it took to harden Kota all over again. Kota flipped Vanessa onto her back and climbed over her. He positioned his eager sex at her entrance, she was already so wet and from pleasuring him no less!

Vanessa was truly a wonder that Kota could not get enough of. What’s more is that he didn’t have to get enough of her. She was his and she wanted to be.

Vanessa gripped his arms and arched into him, eager for him to fill her. “Please Kota, enter me I can’t wait anymore,” She gasped desperately.

Kota slowly entered her engorged heat. She felt like heaven, so silky and tight. Kota had to keep tight hold of himself for fear of hurting her. Vanessa gasped as Kota sheathed himself fully inside her.

“Kota—you feel so good inside…” she said breathlessly while arching into Kota impatiently.

Vanessa was perfection surrounding him and he wondered how he would ever leave this bed or her. Kota began to move, slowly at first, savoring every nuance of how she felt around him. Underneath Kota, Vanessa was restless. She obviously wanted more of him in her silent pleas and desperate cries of pleasure.

“Please Kota…faster,” Vanessa begged him and Kota picked up his pace as he thrust into her.

Vanessa’s cries of ecstasy filled Kota’s senses and he soon lost himself, driving deep into her. He felt the very core of her and each time his sex brushed it Vanessa responded in pleas for more.

Vanessa was impossibly tight around him, her sex clenching in ripples of pleasure as she neared orgasm. Kota was lost in Vanessa as they rose to an impossible height, only to eagerly fall back to the present in a dance of ecstasy.

“Fall with me Vanessa,” Kota whispered hoarsely and nearly on command Vanessa began to spasm around him with the waves of her orgasm.

It sent Kota into his own mindboggling orgasm and he was vaguely aware of Vanessa sobbing his name while the ocean roared in his ears. He pumped his release into Vanessa until he was spent.

Kota collapsed onto the bed next to Vanessa and pulled her onto his chest. “That was amazing Vanessa…” Kota was lost for words after that so he simply held Vanessa as they basked in their post coital glow.

“Kota…that was the best sex has ever felt for me,” Vanessa seemed to be surprised by her revelation and Kota chuckled.

“Of course it was Vanessa, that is why you are married to me now.” Vanessa laughed and smacked Kota’s forehead playfully.

“I like being married to you,” she said shyly. Kota smiled and bent his head to kiss her lips.

“Thank goodness for that because I like being married to you too.” Vanessa giggled and Kota marveled at how much he felt for this one person. He’d go to the ends of the universe and back for Vanessa, and what was best of all was that she loved him too.

  CHAPTER ONE

Abbie stood on the stage, trying not to sob in front of everyone. The shackles binding her to the other women cut into her wrists and ankles. The audience was all men. Strong, handsome, but not human. Alien women from all across the galaxy stood on that stage with her, shackled to her, all unhappy and crying in their own freakish way.

Her brain was a muddle of thoughts. Where was she? How could this really be happening? And how stupid was she to have worried about anything else before this. All of those concerns about work, bills, or her home life all seemed pretty damn mundane now. She stood on an alien planet, red sky above, great gray and red crags jutting out of the landscape.

Though the aliens on this planet all looked human, she could see by the look in their eyes and the unnatural way they held themselves that they weren’t. It was all of the little things someone took for granted that, when absent, made even the simplest of things seem suddenly freakish and weird.

In all of her adult life so far, she wanted to be loved by someone. To feel beautiful. As a big, curvy woman, she had yet to find anyone that loved her for who she was. The thing was, she wasn’t about to starve herself.

Why should she have to change just for someone to find value in who she was? She was loving, strong, and beautiful. The thing was that every guy she was attracted to was never attracted to her in the same way.

She’d had boyfriends, but they always felt more like prolonged tolerance than any real feelings of affection or love. Still, she tried. She always tried. In the end, though, she was realizing that she was coming to a crossroad.

One way, she had to lower her standards in what she wanted in someone, and accept that what she was looking for and what she expected in someone just wouldn’t be returned to her. So she would find someone, but it would be settling in every sense of the term. Not exactly how she wanted to live her life.

On the other side, if she refused to give in to the shallow assholes of the world and stuck to her guns, it very likely meant she would live out the rest of her life alone. It had been a depressing prospect, but one she was becoming more and more okay with over the years.

Once she’d settled on that decision, it was no more mediocre men for her. Sure, she went on dates, but she kept her head about her and didn’t let desperation or loneliness get the better of her.

She would find the man that matched her, or she’d die trying, damn it! Well, now she stood on an alien stage at what looked like some kind of an auction. So, it looked like she was going to die trying.

The overseer over this whole… whatever it was, was going down the line of girls, calling out alien words and sounds that Abbie couldn’t follow. She’d glance over to him, watch him talk and trying to figure out what he was saying, then she’d look back out over the crowd, as these men would bid on the alien.

Some of the alien women were humanoid: two arms, two legs, a head, hands, feet. Some were interesting colors, or had not so human faces, but the bodies were similar. Others were just downright odd. Strange bobble shapes, with tentacles and squiggly eyes.

As the overseer went down the line, it was clear the men in the crowd had definite tastes. Some bid on a certain alien body type, others stuck to others. There were about a hundred men, maybe? It could’ve been a hundred-and-fifty, but Abbie wasn’t a good guesser.

As the proceedings went on down the dozen or so women before Abbie, she noted a man near the back. He was taller than most of the men out there, well built. He had a strong jaw and jaw length black hair. He just star
ed at her.

Once she noticed him, she couldn’t see the way he stared. He never bid on any of the women. His gaze was so intense that it was actually making her uncomfortable. In this alien world, what did he want with her? What was this? A meat market? A sex slave auction?

She suddenly barked out a laugh, and clapped a hand over her mouth. All eyes turned to her and even the auctioneer stopped to look at her. Abbie shook her head and waved a hand.

“No, sorry. Nothing. Funny though. Uh… carry on.”

The overseer gave her an odd sidelong look but then continued with what he was doing.

Abbie giggle-snorted to herself. A sex slave auction. That’d be ridiculous, wouldn’t it? Here she was deciding that she was going to spend her life alone, and then she gets whisked away to some alien world, slapped on a stage, and…

The smile faded from Abbie’s mouth as she looked around her. There were only men in the audience. She glanced up and down the stage. There were aliens, to be sure, but somehow they were all feminine in their way. These were all women. Abbie looked around her, the mirth slowly turning to horror. It had been a random, funny thought! It wasn’t supposed to actually be true.

She looked back to the man in the back to see him watching her, a slow half-smile spreading. He saw that she just realized what this was. And he thought it was funny!

“No. No, no, no,” Abbie said and tried to pull away. The chains on the shackles all shook and rattled, but she couldn’t move anywhere. “No! You hear me? No! Not like this. This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. I was supposed to end up alone.”

Men rushed the stage to keep her in place, as all of her pulling and tugging was tripping up the other females and ruining the auction.
