Malack rose from his pillow. "Leah, marry Duncan. The boy speaks of nothing but you."
"Yes Gon-Dra." She shut the last curtain.
Branwyn pulled him closer. His eyes opened. "I am truly weary."
"Ssh. Sleep. Rest, my gon-dra."
"Do not call me that…or…I will…have to instruct you." His voice faded as sleep overtook him.
Branwyn smiled. Her soul was calm. He was home.
Epilogue
Branwyn sat upon the blanket as Malack tended their horses. She put his sword and knife on the ground next to where she sat. Placing the fruit, bread, cheese and wineskin beside her, she smiled at her husband.
"What?" Malack sat, unsheathed his knife, and sliced off a chunk of bread and cheese for her.
"I was just remembering the last time we were here. So much has changed."
"You were a scared little dune."
"Now, I am your wife, the gonness-dra and mother of your son."
Malack chuckled. "Yes, I, the Gon-Dra of Black Dorn, consummated his wedding with a kiss."
"And I, the gonness-dra, spent my wedding night bringing forth your son." She knelt in front of Malack. "I have I have yet to give you my wedding gift."
"You gave me my son."
She pulled off his tunic then pushed him to lie back. "Little Nalar is with Leah. She so enjoys helping to look after him."
"It did not take Duncan long to fill her with child."
After removing the rest of Malack's clothing and her own, Branwyn spoke between kisses she placed on his lips, face, neck, and chest. "Trea says I am healed. And you are strong again, after your battles." She paused. "I was so afraid I would lose you." A tear dribbled down her cheek. She brushed it away.
Malack pulled her mouth to his and kissed her. She slid her hands down his hard body, past scars—old and faded, and newly healed. He had received them defending his home and her. And some had almost claimed his life.
She settled her hips over his partially erect manhood into her body. "Trea once told me this is your favorite way to pleasure. It is my gift to you." With a firm squeeze of her muscles, she pulled him deeper into her.
"Mmmm." He closed his eyes and settled onto the blanket. After three more squeezes, she had aroused him to fully engorged. She rippled her muscles along his shaft. His body tensed as he thrust into her. Both were aware that this bedding would not be long. It had been many months since they had pleasured together. The touch of their flesh on flesh created a fierce hunger swirling to the surface to demand release.
Malack stroked and teased her breasts. She rubbed her clit and closed her eyes. The burning fires in her focused the strength and pace of her movements to drive Malack to release. Her moans began to mix with his as their lust cried for satisfaction.
It caught both of them. Their frenzied passion exploded into blissful relief. "I am yours, Malack. Total tragor." She snuggled down onto his chest. Bliss relaxed her body.
"I do not want your tragor, Branwyn - just your love."
"I love you, Malack."
"I love my gift, my son and you, Branwyn."
