“Okay. Sabrina...I love you and I will forever be indebted to you for doing this for us.”

Sabrina smiled. “I know. I love you too.” She ended the call and after a quick talk with her mother, who was almost as worried about her as Melanie, she finished dressing and called a cab. Wolf had invited her to a little exhibition match he was having at the gym. They were having food and live entertainment and she thought it would be a nice distraction from everything on her mind, if only for a few hours. Sabrina intended to spend the day with her brother and his old lady and enjoy herself. She hoped that Bruf wouldn’t be there...but if he was, she’d deal with it.

“Come on, Tex, tell us the story of how you met the pretty girl again...” Sabrina walked in just as the bikers were giving one of the fighters a hard time. He looked like he was taking it well. Wolf and his VP Manson, Smoke, and another guy she’d just met at the party named Ash, were gathered around the fighter, who looked like he was barely Sabrina’s age...if that. She walked over and jumped at the sound of a scream from an amp behind her. She turned and looked at the small stage. A guy probably about Wolf’s age with long hair and a body like a fighter was on stage, tuning his guitar. There was another guy, this one bald with tattoos from the neck down, sitting in front of a set of drums, and an older guy with a grizzly beard on keyboards. Along the wall past the stage were three tables full of food, and beyond that was a bar. Wolf had gone all out and it looked like the place was starting to fill up.

Sabrina continued on to where Wolf was sitting and took a seat next to him just as the fighter, “Tex,” began telling his story. “Okay, well, Tensee and me had been at this party and we’d picked up a couple girls...”

“Each?” one of the guys standing around asked. The rest of them laughed and Tex winked and said:

“Not that night. We weren’t feeling greedy, so we left some for the rest of those losers. I picked me a busty blonde and Tensee picked up this hot little brunette. We took them back to the hotel and started getting busy. I was gearing up, putting on the raincoat, you know? I heard Tensee scream.”

“I didn’t fucking scream.” For a second, Sabrina thought she was seeing double. The guy that walked up behind Tex was a carbon copy of him. Other than the different colored shorts they wore, one was indistinguishable from the other.

Tex laughed. “You fucking screamed, bro.”

“You guys want to hear the real story, or this pretty boy’s version of it?”

“I want to hear his version,” Wolf said with a laugh. Suddenly Tex had stopped paying attention to the conversation and his hazel eyes were on Sabrina. She could almost feel the heat from them and she squirmed slightly in her seat. The look wasn’t lost on Wolf either. “She’s my sister, dickhead.”

Tex’s eyes were suddenly as far off Sabrina as he could get them. She rolled hers and elbowed her brother. Not that she was interested in getting hit on, but Wolf acted like she was fourteen and needed constant protection.

“Sorry, man,” Tex muttered, almost under his breath.

“You could introduce me,” Sabrina said.

Wolf put his arm around her, protectively and said, “These boys are fighting in the exhibition match today. This is Texas and Tennessee Davis, aka Tex and Tensee. This is my sister, Sabrina, and she’s off limits to the likes of you two.” Sabrina elbowed him again, this time getting him in the ribs. The guys all tried to hide their smiles and the twins greeted her warmly. Tex went on with his story then.

“So, Tensee was screaming and I ran in to make sure she hadn’t cut off his dick or something.” His brother was flipping him off. Tex laughed and said, “I busted in and Tensee was holding his dick and the girl was standing next to the bed, butt-ass naked...and looking fucking fine, I might add...but she looked like she was about to cry, and there was blood on her lips. I swear for just a second, I thought she was a vampire.”

Tensee laughed. “Fucker did think she was a vampire. Talk about screaming. The pussy ran out of the fucking room.”

“Shut the hell up, I did not.”

  “You did.”

“Fucking did not. If I ran out, then how the hell do I know the chick had braces? Shit, man, you picked her out and you didn’t even notice she had braces.”

“You didn’t know she had braces? You didn’t kiss her before she put her mouth on your dick?” Ash asked him. The bikers were enjoying the hell out of the story. Meantime, the band seemed to be warming up. Sabrina glanced over at them and Wolf said:

“That guy on guitar there, his name is Jagger. He’s part of Jacob Wright’s team in Vegas.”

“A fighter and a rocker, huh?”

  “He’s got an old lady.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?” she said, feeling a surge of anger toward her brother. “Do I look like I’m in heat or what? You think I get wet every time I look at a guy?” Sabrina was talking loud because of the music...too loud, since it ended, suddenly and she realized everyone in the little group had gone silent. Wolf was staring at her like he was in shock. She felt her face go hot, but she was beginning to figure her brother and the rest of the guys out...and she knew that showing fear would get her eaten alive. “Oh, what the fuck ever. You guys can sit around talking about hard dicks all day, but I mention having a wet pussy and it’s a crime?” Wolf’s eyes were wide and although Sabrina was doing her best not to show it, she was shaking inside. Of all people, Smoke was the one who broke the silence,

“I’d rather talk about wet pussy...if it was up to me.”

The other guys started laughing and after a few minutes, Wolf gave in and laughed too. He still shot Sabrina a look that told her he wasn’t happy about her talking like that in front of his friends, but maybe it would help get through to him that she wasn’t a little girl. Tex cleared his throat and said, “So, where was I?”

“Hey, Wolf, you want Jagger and the guys to start up?” One of the club girls, a pretty girl with burgundy hair and blue eyes, interrupted the conversation. All the guys turned to check her out and Sabrina noticed Wolf didn’t bat an eye at that. He looked at the clock on the wall and said:

“Tell them to give it about five minutes, Honey.”

  “Honey?” Sabrina said.

Wolf chuckled. “You trying to look for a way to get me in trouble? That’s her name, but my girl’s in the back if you wanna go tell her...or go and hang with the old ladies...”

“I’m not an old lady, remember? Tex, I’d love to hear the rest of your story.”

Tex winked at her and said, “Well, then, the pretty lady gets what the pretty lady wants...where was I?”

  “The vampire,” Ash said.

“That’s right, well it turns out, this chick’s not really a vampire...”

“No way!” Manson said with a chuckle. Tex shot him a look and Tensee said:

  “I think they heard enough.”

“Nope...we haven’t even gotten to the part where I met the sultry brunette. Now, I was like, what the fuck is going on here? And the screamer there started saying that she bit him. She was crying and denying it and when she grimaced, that’s when I noticed the braces. Dumb fuck forgot rule number one when it comes to protecting the skin on your dick...no metal, clips, or braces.”

“Yeah and ask him how he knows about clips!” Tensee said.

“Nah, they don’t wanna know that...”

“He fucked a chick once with false teeth on top. They clipped in with these big metal clips in the back. They came loose and flew out while she was riding him like a stallion.”

“False teeth? How old was she?” Ash asked.

“Young,” Tex said. He left it at that, but his brother went on.

  “Ex–drug addict, we found out.”

“That’s methed up,” Ash said. The guys all laughed again.

“So, when do we get to the part where you met the goddess?” Manson asked.

“Well, neither of us got off, so when Tensee got over his whining about his scraped-up little dick...”

  “Li
ttle?” one of the guys said. “Aren’t you two identical in every way?”

“Yeah, I meant nine-inch-long and two inches around dick...” They all laughed again.

Sabrina got up and Wolf said, “Where you going, sis?”

“I think I’ve heard enough,” she said, but with a smile. She would never understand why men were so obsessed with their dicks. Women didn’t sit around talking about their vaginas all the time. Maybe because the guys’ was all outside...

“Girls are in the back,” Wolf said. She didn’t answer him. He was trying so hard to get her to join the women that it made her not want to. Instead of going in the back, she wandered over to where the band was still warming up. The big guy with the long hair and a tattoo sleeve on his arm lifted his chin in her direction.

  “Hey.”

“Hey,” she said. “I’m Sabrina, Wolf’s sister.”

“Well, I’ll be damned. How’d you get so pretty? That motherfucker is ugly as sin.”

She laughed, and the big guy held out his hand, “Name’s Jagger, it’s a pleasure, Sabrina. Different dads, right?”

She laughed again, “Nope, Coyote sired us both.”

“Damn, that old son of a bitch was as ugly as sin too. Your mama must be a knockout.”

Sabrina didn’t realize Wolf had followed her until she heard his voice. “What the fuck you saying about my mom?”

Jagger grinned and said, “Ah, hell, Wolf, you know anything I got to say to your mom, I said the last time I fucked her.”

“You following me?” Sabrina asked, lowering her voice.

“Nah, but I need to ask you something.”

  “Okay...”

Wolf took her arm and led her a few feet away from the stage. People were still filing in and it was impossible at that point to find a private spot. Wolf lowered his voice and said, “When was the last time you saw Bruf?”

“He came by the house yesterday, I guess right after he spoke to you. I haven’t seen him since.”

  “Seriously?”

“Yeah, seriously. Why? Is everything okay?”

“I’m sure it is. He’s probably just pissed off at me.”

“Or me,” she said. “Thanks for telling him about the baby, by the way.” She’d been really pissed the day before, but that anger had waned, and she realized Bruf was going to react the way he did regardless of who told him.

  “He didn’t take it well?”

She curled her lip and mimicked her brother as she said, “No, he didn’t take it well.”

“Shit.” She realized Wolf wasn’t messing with her...he was genuinely worried, probably more so now that he knew Bruf wasn’t with Sabrina. She felt sick to her stomach, wondering where he was...and who he was with. Sabrina watched his eyes scan the crowd and then he said, “I’ll talk to you in a bit.”

“Wolf! What is it? Tell me.”

“He didn’t come back after he talked to you last night, and no one has seen him in over twenty-four hours.” Sabrina’s world froze. What if something’s happened to him? What if he’s been in a motorcycle accident? What if he’s just holed up somewhere with a woman? No, if that was what Wolf thought, he wouldn’t be worried, would he?

  “Do you think he’s okay?”

“I’m sure he’s fine. I’ll be right back.” She watched him walk across the room, but lost interest when she realized he was going to greet another group of fighters showing up for the party. She was sure if Wolf thought Bruf was fine, he wouldn’t have brought it up in the first place. She took out her phone and walked toward the back, pressing in Bruf’s number as she did. It went straight to voicemail...which meant it was dead, or off. That had to be why Wolf was worried. Sabrina had seen the way Bruf guarded her brother...she’d lived through it, barely. He was like a hawk, and no way would he be out of touch in case Wolf needed him...especially with something like this going on. She began looking up hospitals in the area. One way or the other she was going to find him, but she hoped they wouldn’t find him with some woman somewhere, just hiding out. She mentally shook her head at that...the weird things that love will do to you.

Bruf ended his night the night before, sitting on the side of the road, in the dark, surrounded by guns that were aimed at his head...but his eyes had been on one person, the female FBI agent who stood about a foot in front of him, with a smile on her pretty face. “What the hell are we doing here, Maggie?”

Bruf had been on his way home. He’d raced the bike, and then he’d agreed to have one beer with Ediger and his friends. While he sat there listening to them, it had only solidified the idea that he never should have gone there in the first place. The stuff with Sabrina had just stirred up so much shit inside of him, and he hadn’t wanted to deal with Wolf. A few hours with Ediger reminded him, however, just how lucky he was, and he had been on his way back down the hill, somewhere near the little town of Oakhurst, when he rounded a curve and the blue and red lights lit up the twilight. He’d cussed under his breath, but he’d pulled over. He wasn’t carrying, and other than harassing him because of the colors he was flying, he didn’t have any worries...at least that’s what he’d thought.

He had no sooner pulled over than another cop came from the other direction...and then a third. The two black sedans that followed them were what had worried him the most, and as it turned out, he’d been right to be worried. The cops had jumped out of their cars with guns drawn, yelling at him to get his hands up. He was told then to get on the ground, on his belly with his hands out in front of him. Bruf was pissed, but he did exactly what they told him. He’d been lying on the cold, hard ground when a small pair of black boots appeared in front of him and a woman’s voice said, “Hello there, PFC Cantrell.” He recognized it immediately.

“What the fuck?” He started to pull his head up and the cops that surrounded him screamed at him to get down. He put the side of his face back against the asphalt before she said:,

“The private first class here is an old friend of mine...it’s okay, you can look at me.”

When Bruf pulled his head up, the spotlight that shone in his eyes nearly blinded him and all he could see of the woman was a slim, dark silhouette. “What the fuck is this?”

“You can sit up.” He pushed himself up and two cops immediately rushed in as he started to get to his feet. One of them started to put his hand on Bruf’s shoulder, but Bruf glared at him and dropped down on the rough pavement on his ass. Then he looked back up at Maggie. Maggie Leary was her name. She was his sergeant in the army, twenty years older than him and the hottest piece of ass he’d ever had. He could make out her features now. Her hair was still as red as ever and those big, gold-brown eyes were still outlined with black lashes that made them pop. She had lips that would make a grown man cry. They were like a vacuum hose when they got a hold of you...Fuck, he realized too late that he’d let his mind wander, and Maggie was smiling, like she knew exactly what was going through his mind.

“What the fuck is this?” he growled at her. She smirked and said:

“You’ve still got that mouth.” His mouth and Maggie had been intimately acquainted at one time, and they’d both loved every minute of it, but that was then... “In a biker gang, now? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, considering where you came from.”

“You wanted to catch up, Maggie, you could have just called.”

She smiled. “I didn’t think you’d take my call these days. You know what I do now?”

“No clue.” He was in no mood to play games with Maggie or any fucking body else. “Why don’t you just tell me, and then tell these assholes to back the fuck off and let me get on my way?”

“Let me reintroduce myself to you, Bruf. I’m Special Agent Maggie Leary with the FBI. This is my partner, Special Agent Michael Gregory, and I’ll introduce you to everyone else later on when we get to the station.”

“The station? What the fuck are you taking me to the station for? I didn’t do anything.”

  “We’ll
talk about it there. It’s much more comfortable. I’m sure we can clear this all up and get you on your way soon. I have to say, I’m disappointed to find that you’re not only in a gang, but you’re still cavorting with that brother of yours...”

“You’re wasting your time if you think I’m going to give you something on Wolf, or my brother for that matter. You’ve got nothing on me, Maggie. You need to let me the fuck go before my lawyer gets a hold of you.”

She continued to smile. Maggie had been the only female in the US Army that made the uniform look good...and she was doing to same thing for the classic black, standard uniform of the FBI as well. Even in a suit jacket, and trousers, she exuded femininity. But Bruf was a kid when she worked her magic on him all those years ago. He wasn’t that kid any longer, and he knew his rights. He started to stand up and the two men with guns started yelling at him to stay on the ground. Maggie made a hand motion at them and they backed off...slightly. Once Bruf was up on his feet, they stood about six feet away, still with guns drawn like maybe he was a fucking murder suspect.

“Are you charging me with something?”

  “Nope.”

“Good, then it was nice seeing you, I’m going to be on my way.” He turned toward his bike with the guns still following him. Maggie let him get a few steps toward it before she said:

“Got a thing for your boss’s sister, huh? You always did know how to get yourself into the most fucked-up situations.”

Bruf spun around and narrowed his eyes on her face. “What does this have to do with Sabrina?”

“Well, I was going to tell you, but apparently you don’t have time to sit down and talk with an old friend.”

“We were never friends, Maggie. You were my superior and my fuck buddy. That was it.” Her partner’s face was expressionless, but his eyes gave him away. Maggie hadn’t let him in on their history. Maggie’s expression didn’t change, however, and the smile never fell from her face. Bruf wasn’t surprised. Maggie Leary never gave a shit what anyone thought of her. She did what she wanted...fuck the rules, fuck the protocol, and fuck every young man she could get her hands on. He wondered if she was still married. Her corporal husband seemed to be the only one with a handle on her...at least slightly.
