Seeds for an American rebirth, he thought.

Smits smiled. “Time to take our country back.”

I began writing theLand of Tomorrowseries in January 2010 and published the first bookGlimmer of Hopein September 2012. The second bookChildren of Wrath followed in October 2013, and the third bookPaths of Righteousness in June 2014. When I finished this third book, I had intended it as the end to the Land of Tomorrow series, which I had always envisioned as a trilogy.

As the months passed, I began to think about the characters in this series and wonder what had become of them. New characters like Simon and Trailer began to come to mind, and I realized I wanted to write their stories. To discover what had become of them in this new dangerous world.

I was also encouraged by several readers who urged me to write more books in the series. To them, I am grateful, as writers are always inspired to write by those who want to read. To those readers and others who have enjoyed these works, thank you.

As always, gratitude is due to my wife and sons for allowing me to seclude myself to write. Without them, none of this would be possible. Thank you.

As I said before, I sincerely hope you enjoyed reading this story. I don’t yet know for certain where it will lead from here, but I have some ideas. All I know for sure is that it isn’t over yet. Nathan and his band have left the safety of the JP and set out on a very dangerous and deadly road.

Let’s see where it will lead them…
