  "Me either," Tawney said.

"Let's get this party started," Cade said from his place near the Christmas tree. "Who wants to play Santa?"

"I do," twins Finn and Emma cried together.

"I do, too," Ruby's daughter Ellery said.

The three kids ran to Cade and he passed them presents. The kids began to deliver the gifts.

Tawney went to Rick, wrapping her arms around him.

  "Merry Christmas," she said.

His arms tightened around her. "Look, mistletoe."

Tawney glanced up, then smiled, kissing him. When they parted, she took it all in. Her family—her big extended family.

They were all together, here in their hometown, wrapped in this perfect Christmas moment.

Her heart had never felt so full of love.

It was the best Christmas ever.
