Will their love meander past the thick distance and emanate alive and true? Or will it be swallowed by the misery that gathers in their hearts with every growing day?
Running Wolf (coming 11/1/2018)
Wolf Leader (coming 1/1/2019)
Wild Tinder Series
Alex-
Alex Hernandez has been a hotshot firefighter for five years. He spends the majority of his time with his crew and when he’s not fighting fires, he’s trying to convince himself that getting involved with a crew member is a bad idea. As a wolf, he follows his instincts in every situation. But as a man, following his instincts could cost him his job, or worse.
Ava Schoenguard is barely past her rookie season and much to the amazement of just about everyone she’s survived. Not just that, she’s thriving as a hotshot. She’s smart, capable and after a solid six months under her belt, she’s back for another round of relentless work.
Ava is like every other woman, with needs and wants that don’t necessarily coincide with her current lifestyle. She knows the rules of fight fires with her crew and rule number one, even if it’s unspoken, is that you don’t get involved romantically with anyone on your crew. If only she could get her head and her heart on the same page.
Can Ava and Alex have anything beyond the fire line or will they have to give up the jobs they love for any sort of personal life? When Alex and Ava both discover the other is a shifter, will it bring them closer together, or tear them apart for good?
Jackson- coming 12/1/2018
Jackson Pike is a fourth generation hotshot. He was hauling hoses when most boys were mowing lawns and his ego is big enough to prove it. He’s the crew leader and he doesn’t miss a moment to let someone, namely rookies, know it.
Sarah Peterson is a third generation journalist, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather. She doesn’t shy away from tough questions and when it comes to a story that interests her, she digs in with everything she’s got.
When a wildfire flares up and threatens homes in the Crescent Valley, Sarah finds herself trapped by the fire and up against the hard wall of egocentric Jackson Pike. Can Sarah show Jackson that he doesn’t have to strut his stuff constantly? Can Jackson learn to let his guard down without feeling as if he’s losing a vital part of himself?
Harry- Coming 2/1/2019
Harry Dinsmore doesn’t talk much, unless it’s about his crew or fire season. He doesn’t make small talk and he doesn’t seek out others who do. If you’re crazy enough to ask him about his family, be prepared to get a tongue lashing that will leave your ears next to bleeding.
Katie Richards loves to talk. She’ll talk to anyone about anything and doesn’t shy away from even the most uncomfortable conversations. In Harry she sees a challenge and she’s never met a challenge she couldn’t overcome.
Will Katie push too hard when it comes to Harry’s past, or will Harry learn that sharing often leads to healing? Can these two learn to speak one another’s language or will miscommunication keep them apart?
Danny- Coming 4/1/2019
Danny Carpenter is smart and cocky. Although he’s seemingly earned the right to be. Second only to Jackson, Danny is just as competent and often takes Jackson’s place during the low season. When it comes to women, he often keeps his cards close, knowing just how the others would tease him ruthlessly if they knew he’d only ever been with one woman. As a beta, he’s quick-witted, smart and self-assured. But as a man, he’s holding out for his soul mate.
Rebekah Cortez is smart, with a wicked sense of humor and she’s always laughing. She’s often brutally honest and doesn’t shrink away when others are honest in the same tone. She notices that Danny seems to favor honesty, when they meet at a club and almost immediately she’s drawn to him.
Can Danny trust Rebekah with his secret? Will he open himself up to the possibilities, or close himself off for good when things don’t seem clear between them?
Hunter- Coming 6/1/2019
Hunter Green loves fire. No fire is too big or too small for this pyromaniac and being a hotshot fire fighter is like living a dream every day, especially when they’re called out to gain control of one that just might get away.
Harleigh Adams was raised by earth loving hippie genre parents who can’t stand to see the way people abuse Mother Nature. That being said, she too finds it irresponsible at best to see the earth’s natural resources stripped, even if it means saving lives by creating a barrier a wild fire can’t jump.
When Harleigh spends a weekend observing the Lobo Crew hotshots, she butts heads hard with Hunter who can’t wait to strip the land and make a swath large enough to control a fire that wants to rage.
Can these two ever see eye to eye when it comes to weighing the health of the earth against the safety of humanity? Will they learn to compromise or will stubborn pride keep them apart?
Steve Coming 8/1/2019
Steve Jansen has lived in the shadow of his brother Jasper for as long as he can remember. As a youngster, Steve was always being told to listen to Jasper, do as Jasper says and always defer to whatever it was Jasper thought best.
As a man, Steve has struggled to carve his own path, even wondering if his love of fire fighting wasn’t just him towing the line, just like Jasper.
Carrissa Roberts is devilishly beautiful and confident. When she walks into a room, people sit up and pay attention. Steve certainly did. And Carissa’s got Steve thinking about more than just fighting fires.
When Jasper makes a move on Carissa, will Steve step aside, as always; or will he finally stand up for what he wants in life? With two men vying for her, will Carissa pick the quiet and introspective Steve or go for his over-eager older brother?
Leon Coming 10/1/2019
Leon Torte is as French as they come. Uniquely so, he’s also the only known wolf shifter to grave the French bloodline. That doesn’t stop him from thinking about starting his own family of hybrid wolf-human pups, however. If only he could find a mate who was just as interested as him.
Aubrey Stansfield is having a really bad day. Already a day late getting back to college for her last semester before graduation, she’s derailed even further when her car breaks down just into Montana.
When a cute man with a sexy accent comes to her rescue, Aubrey thanks him before he has a chance to tell her the bad news. Not only is her car in need of some costly and time intense repairs, with a wildfire on the brink of explosion, she’s not going anywhere for a while.
Stuck in close quarters with twenty men and women, all who chase down and subdue fires leaves Aubrey little time to worry about missing school. What she’s consumed by is worry over not losing her heart to a Frenchman who seems hell-bent on changing her mind.
Can Leon convince Aubrey that there’s more to life than school? Will Aubrey give up her own dreams, or will finding new one
s prove to be her real life’s ambition?
Rafe- Coming 12/1/2019
McGraw is about as take charge as they come. Being third in charge is ok, as long as no one steps in his way. But Rafe’s got ambitions and aspirations. Fire-fighting isn’t his lifelong dream and he’s about done waiting for everyone else to give him permission to pursue things outside Lobo Crew.
Pheebe Connors never really cared for the filigree and high society manners of her parent’s social class. Far too much of a tomboy, she barely endured life under her parents tutelage. On her own from 18, she’s spent the last six years learning to fend for herself and she’s damn proud of the woman she is.
When Pheebe gets a call from a potential client, she isn’t prepared when Rafe McGraw steps through the door. Still, she recovers quickly enough and soon has stars in her eyes when Rafe tells her what he needs and asks if she can meet his demands.
Can Pheebe deliver on the promise she made when push comes to shove? Can Rafe keep things on a professional level when everything inside him is screaming for more?
Finn Coming 2/1/2020
Finn O’Leary is as Scottish as they come and if you dare call him Irish, he’ll not think twice before knocking your block off, unless you’re a lady, of course. And just in case his accent doesn’t do it for you, he’s got flaming red hair, freckles and a temper that’ll scorch the ground you walk on, even after a fire’s roared through.
Daisy O’Donnell is just Irish enough to have her back going up when Finn walks into her restaurant. She can spot a Scotsman from a hundred yards and Finn is as Scottish as she is Irish and then some. When he tries pleasant conversation, she obliges him, but makes it clear she’s not interested in anything beyond serving him as a customer.
Finn likes the look of Daisy O’Donnell and he aims to have her, one way or another. He grins wickedly knowing his poor Granny roll in her grave if she knew her grandson was eyeing a pretty piece of Irish tarte. Still, Finn means to have her and he’s never run up against anything or anyone he couldn’t get to come around to his way of thinking.
Will Finn find more than he bargained for when he challenges Daisy’s morals? Will Daisy decide that a holiday with a Scotsman doesn’t sound like a half-bad idea, or will it take something much more dangerous to get these two seeing eye-to-eye?
Jasper Coming 4/1/2020
Jasper Jansen always knows what’s best. He’s a take charge kind of guy who has never been known to let grass grow under his feet, if he can help it. He’s also never gone a day without nagging his little brother and then rubbing his nose, good-naturedly, in the aftermath.
Jasper was the first in their family to join the Hotshots. He was also the first to know that shifter’s blood ran in their family. When it also touched his brother, Steve, it was Jasper who saw him through his first change and kept him, aptly so, from eating their parents.
Still, Jasper knows that not everything comes to the oldest first and he’s surprised to find himself jealous when Steve and Carissa make things permanent between them. Coming in second, even in love, doesn’t exactly play well in Jasper’s plans.
Elizabeth Townsend is a no nonsense, straight-laced, firecracker who’s set to blow at any moment. Even given her responsible nature, she can’t prepare for everything and a weekend away, while she can’t prepare for everything and a weekend away, while spontaneous and wonderful, must have some sense of planning behind it.
When her friends drag her along for an impromptu camping trip, Elizabeth begrudgingly agrees, knowing she can’t keep blowing them off. But when a raging forest fire turns toward them, she’s wondering why she can’t just lead a normal life, with normal, everyday happenings.
Rescued from near-certain death, Elizabeth renews her dedication to planning and preparation just as Jasper walks in to mess everything up again.
Can Elizabeth learn that there’s a balance between planning for life and living it? Can Jasper learn that he doesn’t always have to be first for things to work out nicely in life? Life is about to get very messy for two perfectionists who need to learn a thing or two about letting life happen as it will, instead of trying to force it’s hand.
