The Edge of Dominance: DOMS OF HER LIFE: Raine Falling (Book 4) Page 14

Her heart had never been fuller.

She clung to them as if she could defy fate and hold them forever. She fell into arousal, determined to wring every memory from this night she could.

Hammer rimmed his finger around the opening of her pussy. She clamped down on air, her sex clenching with need, aching for one of them to fill the empty space. Liam added to her pleasure, bending in slow adulation of her nipples with his mouth.

“Take me. Please…” she begged with a breathless moan.

“We plan to, love. All night long.” Liam nipped at her sensitive buds again.

Hammer lifted from her wet center, his lips glistening. “When we’re ready, and you’re so desperate you can’t breathe. Not a second sooner, precious.”

With a mischievous gleam in his eyes, he crawled up her body and cinched a hand in her hair, then slanted his lips over hers and claimed them. He forced the salty-tart tang of her own essence onto her tongue. Her taste buds exploded as he swept in deep.

His thick shaft lay hard against her mons, teasing her. Raine fought the urge to rock her hips and guide him through her swollen folds. But she wasn’t in charge. She didn’t want to be. All Raine wanted was to love her men, to hand over her entire being and feel their devotion in return.

As Hammer trailed his tongue down her throat, she lifted her heavy lids and saw Liam propped up on his side, watching with a heated stare as he stroked his engorged cock.

Greedy desire melted through her like warm chocolate. She couldn’t wait to feel them rhythmically stretching and filling her together. As if reading her mind, Hammer wrapped her in his arms, then rolled to his back, setting Raine on top to straddle him and nestling his erection against her folds. He stared at her as if he couldn’t fully drink her in. Raine gazed back, lost in the fierce passion burning in his eyes.

Liam grabbed her hips and pressed in close behind her, singeing her flesh. She arched, her head falling against his shoulder as he molded the damp skin of his chest to her back. He pressed hot kisses along her neck and rocked against her, grinding her wetness along Hammer’s cock and dragging the man’s iron shaft over her tingling clit with the kind of friction that had her gasping.

Macen let out a guttural moan. “Fuck, yes.”

“He likes it, love,” Liam whispered as he reached around her and cupped her heavy breasts. “How good will you feel when his fat cock is pushing deep inside you?”

Her nipples throbbed for attention. Desperate for Liam’s touch, Raine arched, but he splayed his fingers wide, avoiding her needy peaks. “Please…”

“You want something, precious?” Hammer traced around her nipple, too, teasing, taunting.

She dug her nails into his shoulders. “Please!”

“Answer him first,” Hammer commanded, tone gravelly.

She didn’t even remember the question.

“I-I can’t think. Macen…” When Hammer slid his cock between her folds again, his thick crest nudging her pouting clit, she groaned and shivered. “I want. I ache. I need.”

“You’ll be begging and sobbing before we’re through,” Hammer taunted as he finally plucked her burning nipples, igniting a ripple of fire up Raine’s spine.

She let out an incoherent cry.

“Such pretty sounds you make,” Liam purred against her ear. “Reach down and slide your fingers in your pussy, Raine, then bring them to my lips. I’m starving for your taste.”

They were her Dominants, and she couldn’t do anything but obey, especially when they made her feel coveted and adored.

Liam urged her onto her knees, and Raine reached between her legs. She dragged her fingertips over the thick veins of Hammer’s cock. When he sucked in a breath, she wrapped him in her fist, savoring his hard, eager heat.

“Jesus.” Hammer bucked his hips. The tendons in his neck bulged as he thrashed his head.

With a siren’s smile, Raine let go and dipped her fingers into her wetness. After she coated them, she darted her gaze over her shoulder and met Liam’s stare, breath held as she lifted her digits to his mouth. When his lips closed around them, she reveled in his moan of approval, her belly tightening as he licked and suckled her fingers clean.

“Like that?” she whispered as she kissed his jaw.

Liam didn’t answer. He tangled his fingers in her hair and kissed her breathless. Her heart rate climbed again when Hammer skimmed his palm up her thigh, heading straight for her pussy.

“Now,” he barked. “I don’t think I can wait another fucking minute.”

“Easy, mate.” Liam rushed to the nightstand. “Let me prepare her properly.”

Hammer’s moan rang with frustration. “Hurry, damn it.”

Before she could second his demand, he dragged her toward his chest, melting her in a searing burn of flesh, muscle, heartbeats. With her ass in the air, Liam dragged his tongue down her spine, laving every inch. As she writhed to meet him, he gripped her cheeks and bit gently at each. Sparks of delight lit her up as he spread her open to him and worked a pair of lubed fingers past the crinkled flesh of her rosebud. Gentle but insistent, he soothed her tight muscles until she relaxed and groaned.

Hammer lifted her up enough to latch on to one of her nipples. With spine-bending suction, he bathed and scraped her hard peak.

She hissed at the swelling pleasure she felt between them. Euphoria heated her blood. Her nails sank into Hammer’s shoulders as they laid claim to her together and she gave them her control.

Macen turned his attention to her other nipple. “Open your ass for him, precious. Let him get you nice and slick so he can slide that thick cock deep inside you.”

Raine gasped for breath as they tormented her aching body with busy hands and lingering mouths. Whimpers and moans slipped from her throat. Though neither said a word, Liam and Hammer communicated in silent understanding, working together to keep her poised between them until she shuddered and bit her lip to hold in a scream.

Finally, they began to work their cocks—inch by inch—inside her, stretching her needy flesh. A keening cry tore from her throat as they both slid home. Grunts and groans, moans and whimpers—the language of their love—echoed off the walls. Their musk swirled with the scent of lust and wrapped itself around her.

  Raine was lost.

She reached for the rushing bliss, desperate for the affirmation and promise in their embrace. With each surging thrust and forceful lunge, they bestowed on her not only a physical mating but a gift. A vow that no matter what tomorrow might bring, in their hearts they would be joined together for life.

As Liam inched out from her pulsing rim, Hammer plowed his wide crest deep and long. Their driving rhythm ignited her blood, singed her skin. She melted in a silent plea for their mercy and gave them every bit of her body. The urgency of their grips, the insistence of their lovemaking, told Raine they intended to claim her soul together.

As one, they stilled, paused. She shivered, the need beyond her control.

“More… Oh, god. Please. Macen. Liam. Don’t stop…”

Hammer lashed his fingers over her nipples until she moaned. “Who gives the orders here, precious?”

“Definitely not you, greedy little minx,” Liam chided as he pinched the cheeks of her ass.

“Please, Sirs,” Raine mewled. “Please, give me more.”

Tears of frustration and need stung the backs of her eyes. She wriggled her hips, trying to escape the burn engulfing her front and back, but neither man moved an inch. Clamping down around them both, she squeezed tight, hoping to encourage the sublime rhythm that had nearly sent her over the edge—whatever would end the blistering conflagration.

Her men both hissed out choice words before Hammer pinned her with a devilish glare. “What does topping from the bottom get you?”

Raine wanted to scream. “Nothing, Sir. I just need—”

“We know exactly what you need, love,” Liam assured sternly. “We need it, as well. But you don’t determine when or how we let you fly
, Raine. You know better.”

She did. And while guilt pinpricked her, the thrumming demand pumping through her veins obliterated everything but her craving for them.

“Beg again, precious.” Hammer reached between them and toyed with her clit. “Beg loud and long.”

“Please end this misery. I want you both. Need you so badly,” she gasped. “Help me. I’m dying to feel you deeper and give you pleasure.”

“There’s our submissive beauty. Take us. Take every inch,” Liam muttered thick and hot in her ear.

He and Liam began to seesaw inside her while a kaleidoscope of colors flashed behind her eyes. They sank deep, retreated, then repeated the process until the friction had her clawing the sheets.

“That’s it,” Liam crooned. “Milk us, Raine. Squeeze tight.”

Her pleading wails reverberating, Raine clamped down around them and tossed her head back at the towering ecstasy crashing toward her. Hammer’s face contorted as he fought for control and busied his thumb, batting her clit ruthlessly. Her will to resist climax began to crumble. Panic mixed with urgency. The thought of failing them devastated her.

“Help me. Oh, god. Please. I-I… Macen. Liam,” she cried, her voice cracking.

“Such pretty tears,” Hammer grated out, his jaw clenched. “Liam?”

“Yes.” He slid his fingers around her throat, his chest plastered to her back as he plunged even deeper. “Fuck, yes. Now. Before I go up in flames.”

Hammer gripped Raine’s chin and fused his gaze to hers, tumbling her into an infinite swirl of passion. “Come, sweet girl. Come hard and long for us.”

His tender permission unlocked something in Raine’s head—and heart. Hammer usually growled the command, but this time, he was—in his own way—begging her to remember him as her lover for all time.

A sob ripped from her throat as she shattered and fragmented, all the way to her soul, taking Hammer and Liam with her.

  Chapter 8

Liam determinedly stared into his food, saying nothing through their quiet takeout Chinese dinner. Hammer frowned, especially when he also noticed Raine fidgeting and shooting the other man glances while she picked at her orange chicken and chow mein.

When Macen caught her flashing him a guilty stare, he threw his chopsticks down. “Okay, spill it. What’s going on?”

Raine grimaced, then deferred to Liam with a questioning gaze. That made Hammer’s gut knot tighter.

“We didn’t want to worry you when you first came home, and we all needed the time and touch we shared together.” Liam set down his chopsticks, obviously weighing his words. “After the police took you away, another cruiser showed up. They asked Raine and me to come in for questioning, too.”

Hammer slammed his palms down on the table. He clenched his jaw, trying to hold his temper. None of this was their fault…but he was mightily pissed off. “You’re just now telling me this?” Their silence was telling—and damning. “Sterling said nothing. Beck and Seth said nothing. You let me tell you everything about my interrogation and didn’t say a word? Goddamn it.”

“You had enough on your plate to worry about, mate. Spilling it all sooner would have only been another burden for you. Sterling arranged for us both to have lawyers present. My interview was short, maybe ten minutes. I wasn’t in Los Angeles when Raine was a minor. I could prove I hadn’t even met her until last September. They asked me if I’d ever raped Raine. Of course I denied that, and they can’t prove otherwise. They wanted to know how long you and I had been friends and where we met. I told them I had nothing to say. When they asked me about my sex life with you two, I told them to piss off.”

God, the police seemed intent on dragging everyone he loved through the mud.

He zipped his gaze to Raine. “How long did they grill you?”

“Probably close to an hour. The detective seemed determined to make me into a victim, but I set the bitch straight.”

Fuck. “I’m sorry you both had to go through that.” Guilt railed Macen.

“It’s not your fault. You didn’t ask for this.” She reached across the table and took his hand.

He gripped hers in return. “Tell me what they wanted to know.”

She shrugged. “Probably a lot of the same stuff they wanted to know from you, like if you and I had a sex life when I was a minor and why you gave money to Bill.” She paused, looked down at her hands in her lap. “They said they have a video of you appearing to rape me.”

“A video?” He gave a thunderous scowl. He barely managed not to fling the table aside in rage. His entire life and the people he held dearest were being denigrated and threatened—and he was helpless to stop it. “What fucking video could the police possibly have?”

“I don’t know.” Raine shrugged. “They never showed me anything or gave me any information about it. Maybe they’re bluffing.”

Yeah. Maybe the cops were simply employing a tactic designed to encourage Raine to talk about her supposed abuse. Just like it was possible their mysterious witness was nothing more than a ruse to make him talk.

“They must be, because that never happened,” Liam added.

Raine nodded. “I told them that. Just like I told them I like rough sex.”

Hammer hadn’t thought his fury could get hotter, but his urge for violence thickened again. She should never have had to admit anything about their private life to those prying, lecherous bastards.

  “What else?” he asked.

She spoke in halting words. It didn’t escape Hammer’s notice that she gave the barest answers possible. But the breadcrumbs she did leave him to follow had his vision narrowing to a fiery red haze. “I’m going to dismember your brother, precious. With my bare hands. I’m going to tear his fucking head off—”

“I’m plenty furious with him, too. But Detective Perez didn’t hurt me,” she promised. “The worst thing that terrible woman did was intimate I’m a sad sack doormat of a whore. Not like I haven’t heard that one before…”

“But you’re not, goddamn it.” He pounded a fist on the table. The rattling of glasses and plates didn’t give him an ounce of gratification. “I’d love to have that fucking bitch’s badge for judging you.”

“Macen…” Raine rose from her seat and slid onto his lap, working her fingers through his hair. “I don’t really care what some cynical, sexually frustrated workaholic thinks of me. In fact, no one’s opinion matters a whit to me except yours and Liam’s. Everyone else can go fuck themselves.”

Liam smiled. “I won’t even chide you for your language, love. That’s perfect.”

It was, but the fact she had to defend her life at all ate at Hammer.

He passed Raine onto his friend’s lap and stood with an angry jerk. “I’ll be back.”

She tried to leap up. “Wait! Where—”

Liam clamped his arms around her middle and held her down as Hammer tore at his clothes, doffing every stitch, and tossed the garments in the nearby laundry room. “Shh. Let the man breathe.”

Reminding himself to thank his brother later, Hammer wrenched the back door open, then slammed it so hard behind him the glass rattled. He headed for the pool and dove in.

He hit the water, gasping. That shit was fucking freezing. But nothing else was going to cool him down.

After some hard laps, he lifted himself out of the water and dripped all over the deck.

Raine hustled toward him with a concerned gaze. She clutched a big beach towel and wrapped it around him, along with her arms. “Feel better?”

He stepped back. “I’m getting your clothes all wet.”

  “I don’t care.”

Hammer worked free from her embrace and looked down at her beloved face. Weariness pulled at her. “Go to bed, precious.”

“Liam just ‘suggested’ I head upstairs for a bath and bed, so I’m going. I think he wants to talk a little more. I made you two coffee.”

Always thinking of him, even when she’d had a terrible day, too. Even when s
he should be more worried about her future and the life growing inside her.

“Did you get enough to eat?” he prodded.

“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.” She kissed him softly and headed back into the house.

He watched her go. “That’s like telling me not to breathe.”

Liam poked his head out moments later and handed him a pair of sweat pants and a T-shirt. “Coffee’s ready inside, mate.”

Once he’d dressed, Hammer slid across the kitchen table from Liam, drinking his java and wondering how much longer he’d have the luxury of enjoying a brew and quiet moment like this with his best friend. So much to say…so little time to convey everything.

“What’s next?” Liam’s two soft words broke the silence.

“I have to see Sterling in the morning. After that, I should have a better handle on what to expect. If this goes to trial, I’m worried Raine will have to testify.”

Liam’s scowl said he didn’t like that, either. “I know. Even if she doesn’t cooperate with the prosecution, she’s the ‘victim.’ Barnes will need her to testify on your behalf. I wish there was a way that didn’t involve her reliving everything she’s already been through. But she’s stronger. She’ll manage, Macen. I know you were angry that the police questioned her today, but don’t underestimate our girl.”

“I just hate seeing her dragged through this shit.”

Quietly, Hammer worried what all this upheaval would do to her emotional progress, but he didn’t speak the words. He simply had to believe in her and support her as best he could for as long as he was able.

A knock on the front door interrupted his musings. He and Liam frowned. Neither were expecting company, especially near midnight. His heart stopped for a moment. Were the police coming back to…what, arrest him? Already?

  “I’ll get it.” Liam stood.

“I will.” Hammer beat him out of the kitchen, knowing he had to face his own mess. “I’m sure it’s for me.”

With a sigh, he wrenched the front door open, braced for more uniformed officers and a pair of handcuffs not intended for play. Instead, he found Dean Gorman standing on the porch, wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap pulled low, along with a ratty leather jacket, T-shirt, and jeans. The car parked at the curb didn’t belong to him.
