Live Today (Live Today #1) Page 19

by Savana Jade

“Ok man, that’s enough drooling over my sister. Let’s get home so I can have some of momma’s home cooking I’ve been missing all these years.” He says.

Matt chimes in. “Don’t play it off as you never eat Gabe.”

Gabe pats his belly and chuckles. “Never man, but once you’ve had momma’s cooking; you’ll see what I’m talking about.” My heart swells as I realize since we’ve been here how much Gabe is so happy and relaxed with his family. As much as he has denied it, I know he has missed them all dearly. He drapes his arm over my shoulder and we walk towards the parking lot.

Dinner was amazing. She served homemade Mexican food which I have to admit, was to die for. Even Matt was impressed. Gabe is more peaceful than I’ve ever seen him. My heart tightens each time I think about how different our lives have been growing up. It’s apparent he has grown up with a loving family. Brennan and I lived a simpler life, we didn’t have the support and love from the parents as the others have. We loved and supported ourselves.

As Matt occupies himself with culinary talk with Maria, Brennan and Drew start going over which songs will be done for the set as Tony tries to follow their conversation with some confusion on his face. Emily and Ashley are cleaning up the kitchen. I had made the attempt to help them in the kitchen duties until Gabe takes me away. He was excited to show me around the property. Taking my hand in his, he leads me towards the back of the house.

On the back patio is a beautiful view of a field. The sun has just beginning to set turning the sky into a beautiful orange, pink and purple piece of art. Towards the left of the field, sits a barn. I can’t even say it was a barn, because this building is huge. As we walk hand in hand towards the extremely large building that rests about two hundred feet away from the house I stop in my tracks.

  “What is it?” He asks.

“Gabe, this is just so beautiful.” I whisper as I watch the sky change colors before my eyes. “I don’t know why you would leave such a breathtaking place.” He steps behind me and wraps his arms around my waist and kisses the top of my head.

“If I wouldn’t have left, then I wouldn’t have met you.” He says and my heart skips a beat with that reality. I rest my head against him as I run my fingers along his arms.

“True, so I guess I should thank who or what sent you my way then huh?” I ask tilting my head towards him to see his eyes glowing down at me. He kisses my lips so softly.

“Guess so.” He whispers. “C’mon, I want to show you something.”

He gives me another swift kiss before pulling me towards the barn. Instead of taking me into the barn as I thought he was, he takes me around it to the back of it. Resting behind the structure was a small lake. I can’t say it’s a pond because it seems so much bigger. I gasp immediately. “Oh Gabe, this is… this is… Oh my God.” I literally am at a loss for words. With the rainbow of colors that have painted the sky, its reflection mirrors it along the calm water.

He chuckles and responds. “Beautiful” I turn to look into his eyes and notice he isn’t even looking at the sky. I wrap my arms around him tighter.

“I didn’t think a place like this existed.” I whisper kissing him softly.

“Just wait.” He replies with his lips resting on mine. “C’mon, before it sets.” He pulls me towards an old dock which sits a small row boat. “Hope you’re strong enough.” He laughs.

“Um. What?” I ask shocked. “There is no way I’m rowing this thing.” He laughs and takes my hand and leads me onto the boat.

“I’m kidding Jenna.” He laughs. “I’ve got it covered. Yes, it’s a row boat, but there’s a trolley motor on the back. See?” He show’s me as he steps onto the boat behind me. Once we are seated nicely, he begins rowing us to the middle of the pond. “If you are going to drool at the sunset, you must do it from here.” He says smiling at me as I can’t find a flaw in the sky. The reflection from the water ripples into a breathtaking view.

Once we’re in the center of the water, he pulls out from behind his seat a blanket and he lays it down in the middle. He takes my hand and we adjust ourselves to where I’m sitting between his legs resting on top of him. “Honestly Gabriel, why did you leave here?” My voice is soft as my eyes remain on the sun that’s set itself half way past the horizon. “You seem so at ease here, I can see and feel the love for you. Your family has missed you so much.” My fingers make an unconscious trail along his arms. My new favorite thing to do.

He stay’s quiet for a good minute until I begin to turn to look at him. Knowing that he would be disappointed missing the sun set completely, he kisses my cheek keeping my head forward and with a deep sigh, he responds. “I have missed them. But it was my time to go. This isn’t the life for me Jenna. I wasn’t meant for small town Kansas. As much as I would have loved staying close to my family, the farthest I would have gone in life is playing on weekends at the town bar. I just had to get out.” I turn up to see his face. At first, he keeps his eyes forward watching the sky I’m sure he has missed all these years, then his thoughtful eyes turn towards me.

“Is that the only reason Gabriel?” I had to ask, remembering the events that went on earlier today in his room. His face hardens suddenly, then as he realized I am monitoring his reaction, it softens a bit. I kiss his jaw and decide to forget it. Whatever it is, it obviously bothers him too much to share. “It’s ok Gabe.” I kiss him again before resting my head on his shoulder again in complete bliss.

“I brought you out here not only to see the sunset Jems.” He softly kisses my neck changing the subject. As my heart quickens a bit, I tilt my head to allow better access. “I just wanted some alone time with you. Here, in my favorite spot.” He holds me tighter, kissing just below my ear. “This is where I use to come to think.” He chuckles softly. “See, we are a lot alike after all. We both need serenity to find ourselves. Yours is the ocean, and mine is the pond.”

Reaching my hand up and wrapping it around his neck, I bring his lips to mine. “I can see myself finding serenity here.” I kiss him softly. He groans as the kiss deepens. The sun has set, and I am in the arms of the man I have wanted to be with but have pushed away for years. My heart swells as I realize how stupid I’ve been all these years. Tears begin to well in my eyes as he pulls away.

He whispers softly. “What’s wrong angel?” His eyes are filled with worry. I turn into him and hold him tightly.

“I… I just haven’t ever been so happy Gabe. Thank you.” I say letting a tear or two or three escape my eyes. “Thank you for being a part of so many happy memories for me.”

Gabe’s eyes gloss over as he flashes his special smile he usually saves for me. “Jenna, today has been the happiest day of my life. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for guiding me towards you. There was a reason why I was sent away from here. It was to meet my soul mate. It was to meet you.” Wrapping my arms around his neck, I pull him in for a sensual kiss. “I love you Jenna Lynn Munson.” He whispers against my lips.

I’ve always told him I love him, just the same way I tell the other guys. The men in my life mean the world to me, so he’s use to me saying those words back to him. But now, at this moment, as well as earlier today, it means so much more. Moving my hands down, holding each side of his face, I look deep into his glossy honey brown eyes I’ve grown to love. “I love you Gabriel Antonio Gonzales.”

His grin widens and he chuckles softly. “Well, it’s about damn time.”

I immediately giggle, “Shut up and kiss me.”

“My pleasure.” His hands cup my checks as he gently brings his lips to mine. He carefully lays me onto the blanket as he adjusts himself to lie beside me, his lips never leaving mine. Running his mouth from my lips down past my jaw to my neck and back up again, he runs his hand down my body, electrocuting my senses along the way. I run my fingers through his hair as he brings his lips back to mine. My heart races as so many thoughts run through my mind. He’s always brought so many different emotions out of
me.

Slowly with one hand, he unbuttons my blouse. My breath races even more than it ever has when he is near me. “You are so beautiful.” He whispers, running his eyes down my body. Sitting me up, he removes my top as I pull his t-shirt up over his head. He undoes my bra as he lays me back down and rests his body on top of mine. Trailing kisses along my collar bone, his fingers pull down the strap to my bra. My breath quickens as he remove’s it completely. He runs his fingers gently over breast and circles my hardened nipple. Taking my breast in his hand completely, he moves his tongue over the nipple flicking it a few times before taking it into his mouth. A moan escapes me as he runs his hand to caress the other breast.

“Gabe.” I beg. A bundle of nerves knot in my stomach as I realize what may or may not happen. I’ve never sexually gone any further than what I’ve ever done with Gabe. My heart feels like it’s going to beat right out of my chest and I can’t seem to control my noisy pants.

“Shhh angel, it’s ok.” He whispers before making his way to the other nipple, teasing it equally. My gasps have gotten the best of me, pants of both anticipation and fear. I take his face in my hands and bring him back to me. He grinds his hips where I need it most as we both groan in unison. “God, I’ve wanted you so badly.” He whispers on my lips. I cry out in need. “Gabe, please.” The fear that was tied in a knot in my stomach has suddenly faded. My legs wrap around him. “I need you.” I finally say in confidence. Those words have run through my head a million times, but I’ve never been able to say it. I am so nervous with what is about to happen, but also one hundred percent sure that this is what I want.

Suddenly, he pulls back a little. “I’ve been waiting to hear those words since the day we met. I love you so much Jenna.” He looks deeply into my eyes. “But, I want to do this the right way. I want everything to be perfect with us. There’s also something I need to tell you.” He whispers. My heart skips a beat. Why is he choosing now to tell me why he left home now?

Placing my finger on his lips, I quiet him. “Gabe, no better time can be more perfect between us than right now. You don’t have to tell me anything. I love you too. That’s all that matters.” Looking deep into his eyes, watching the contemplation on his face, he closes his eyes as he absorbs the words I just gave him. He takes a deep breath before opening them. “I love you.” He whispers again before bringing his lips down to mine again.

My trembling hands trace down his body resting on his pants. He sends trails of kisses down my body again before kneeling before me and undoing the button of my jeans and slowly pulls them down off my body. Sitting up, I fumble with his button with shaky fingers before finally releasing it. He cups my face again before laying me back down softly. He trails kisses down my neck, stopping again at my breasts as his hand makes its way down my body leaving me shaking with his touch. Usually, lust takes over whenever we get tied up in our sexual banter, but not this time. This is something totally different. This time, I feel cherished, truly loved by him. I shiver as he makes his way past my belly button and continues its way down to where I need him the most. “Gabe, please.” I cry. He runs his fingers softly over my sensitive spot. A soft moan escapes his lips as he circles his fingertips over me and slowly slides them between my folds. My body convulses at his touch.

“Jesus.” He cries before running his tongue down my stomach, moving down further to my core. My fingers grasp his hair in anticipation. He runs his tongue down past my most needed area and trails it up along my inner thigh leaving me gasping for air. I cry again in both agony and pleasure. He finally makes his way between my legs and kisses me softly. I raise my hips to meet his lips again and he chuckles. “Slowly angel, I don’t want to miss a thing.” He says before running his tongue over my over sensitive spot. I do my best to try to calm my nervous body. My body convulses as he begins his pleasurable assault.

My nerves are shattered. I’ve never needed anyone more than I need Gabe at this moment. As scared as I am in this very moment, fear is pushed away when absolute love fills my body head to toe. “Gabe, please.” I beg again. I’ve never felt this way before, maybe now is the time to let him know that I’m a virgin. I’m sure he knows this by now since Brennan has never let me date for more than a few months. And usually those men I did date, I’ve never felt that type of attraction. It’s always been for Gabe.

Maybe, subconsciously, I was waiting for the perfect moment. Maybe I was waiting for Gabe all along. This truly is the perfect moment, a night I know I will never forget for the rest of my life. Nervousness courses throughout me with fear that I won’t be good enough for him. He is experienced after all. But this is what I want. This is what I’ve been waiting for. Gabe and I have been so close already, but something has always come between us. Not this time. This time is for real. My breath quickens and my moans grow louder as he continues his assault on me. “Gabe, I need you, now.” I cry, running my hands through his hair, pulling slightly when this sudden feeling begins to grow from within.

He finally stops and makes his way back up my body. I’m trying to hide my shakiness until I notice his body is quivering just as bad as mine is. Noticing my reaction to him, when he makes his way to my lips, he kisses me softly and whispers. “Are you sure about this Jenna?” I simply nod out of fear that my voice will betray my true feelings. “What about protection?” he asks. “I… I didn’t realize we would. I mean, I’ve never…” He stops speaking immediately with understanding that we may not go through with this. I slide my trembling hands up around his neck and pull him into me.

“I’m protected and clean, Gabe.” I whisper back and kiss him softly. “And I’m sure that I love you.” I have no clue where this confidence is coming from. Maybe it’s because I’m finally letting go of all the pent up fear I’ve been holding in when it comes to Gabe. I’ve always worried myself about being another one of his conquests, but even more than that, I’ve always worried that once he’s gotten what he wanted, he wouldn’t need me anymore. This though, this is different. The look he gives me right now show’s me that this is anything but a conquest. His touch is both arousing and sensual that the only thing I feel is love from him. “I don’t want anything to come between us.” Kissing him again, murmuring between kisses. “I’m sure about us… I’m sure about this.”

Gabe gently takes my hands and raises them above my head as he slowly groans and rests himself at my core. Before he begins to enter me, he whispers. “Let’s do this slowly Jems. I love you.” He slowly pushes into me, surging me with a sudden sting. I bite my lip trying to hide the pain, feeling a burning sensation as he pushes into me a little more. “Are you okay?” he asks lovingly, kissing me so softly I barely felt it. It hurts so badly, but feels so good at the same time. I’m afraid to back out now.

Nodding, I reply. “I’m great.” I squeeze his hands and kiss him. “I want this. I love you. Please Gabe, make love to me.” I beg almost wanting this over with. He finally gives into my reply and kisses me deeply as he lets his own breath and enters me fully. I gasp both in pain and pleasure of the fullness. He stills and stares into my eyes as we both get use to the sensation. Our shaking bodies hold each other in passion. I see nothing but love and compassion from him. There was a time not too long ago let alone a few minutes ago; I thought I would be a notch on his belt. But with the look in his eyes and the love I feel from his entire being, I know that I’m different. This is different. My legs slowly move around his urging him to move.

“God I love you angel.” He says. He pulls out of me slowly and I cry and begin to shake again. “You’re shaking so much.” He says softly. “Don’t worry.” He begins to enter me again. “I just wanted to feel you.” He looks into my eyes as he begins to move inside me. I moan softly as with every move he makes, the pain that once was is now replaced with utter bliss. Our breaths quicken as we move together as one. My legs instinctively wrap around his body tighter as he releases our hands and cups my face kissing me softly with each movement. I wrap my arms around him, hol
ding him tightly to me not wanting this to end. My heart swells with love as he continues to make sweet slow love to me.

Staring at the stars, Gabe and I lay alongside each other on the blanket. Another one covers our bodies as the moonlight shines down on us. The water rocks the boat gently and the crickets and other wildlife fill the air. His fingers trail up and down my body. I shiver and feel the goose bumps rise behind his trail.

“Getting cold? Want to go in?” He asks softly kissing the top of my head.

Shaking my head, I hold onto him tighter. “I never want this to end. I’ve never been happier than when I am with you.”

  “Jenna?” Gabe asks.

  “What?”

“Don’t get mad please. But can I ask you a question?” He asks with worry in his voice.

My mind starts to wander as I reply. “You can ask me anything. I won’t ever lie to you. You know that.”

  “Well, it’s kind of personal.”

“Gabe, after what we just did. Can life get any more personal?” I ask with a slight giggle.

“Guess you’re right.” He says and then continues. “I… I was just wondering how,” He takes a deep breath, “How many men you’ve had.” I don’t say anything for a few minutes then he continues. “It’s okay babe. You don’t need to answer that.”

“No, I will. You just took me by surprise is all.” I reply. “I figured you already knew, especially by now.” I shift onto my elbow and look down into his eyes. “Gabe, I’ve only had one partner in my life.” I rest my hand on his hand that he has lying across his chest. “And I’m lying next to him now.” I say blushing with embarrassment.

His eyes twinkle under the stars and a small smile forms across his face. “You know, I always had my suspicions with Brennan not letting any guy near you and all. But I wasn’t always one hundred percent positive.” He places his hand over mine. “If you only know how much it means to me that I’m your first.” He shifts to his elbow so we are face to face whispering to himself. “If you only knew.” Kissing me softly. “Have I mentioned how much I love you?”
