Bloody Vows Page 15

by J. E Hanson

The rest of the Angel Enforcers usher all royal members to our limousines. We collapse inside our limousine. The activities from tonight completely exhaust us both mentally and physically. The limousine pulls away from the dome building. The gates swing open, allowing us to leave.

He shifts me closer to him. He takes off his crown, and then he works on taking my tiara off. “I am so sorry, Jeannie.”

He finishes unpinning my tiara, and then he places it on the claret velvet pillow.

  “Why are you sorry?”

Christian tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear, and he gently brushes his lips against mine. I can tell that he is upset, “I wanted your reception to be much better than this. I am so sorry, Jeannie.”

He moves his arm, so that I can rest my head in his lap, “In the back of my mind, I knew she would show up. The highlight of the fight is that I finally was able to beat my sister up badly. She only landed one punch on my head though.”

He turns on the interior light to survey the nasty blow, “After you take a shower, I will fix it.”

The limo silently pulls in front of the castle.

He picks me up, and he carries me over the threshold to his bedroom. After we arrive inside his bedroom, he quickly strips me out of the wedding dress with ease. He even slips off my lingerie. He fixes the shower. I watch him undress quickly. We embrace each other in the shower. I want sex, but he wants to wait until after the doctor sees me. He tenderly washes all the foreign substances off, from the fallen rogues. I am back to feeling my normal self again. But, at least I am lucky enough to wash his hair, and his muscular body. My fearless warrior returns to my normal husband.

Christian dries me off. I try to help him, but he refuses. He quickly wraps a plush ivory towel around his waist, and he makes a phone call, “I will make it worth your wild. Please come, and check my wife… thank you.”

He abruptly ends his conversation, and he shifts his focus to me, “You need to lay down on the bed. The doctor will be here shortly.”

I want to wear a robe—or even a nightgown, but he stops me, “She needs to see you naked. Those are her orders.”

He walks over to the dress bag, and he unzips it. He takes out his clothes, and moves inside the bathroom. There is a loud knock on the door. He reemerges from his bathroom wearing only a pair of basketball shorts. He opens the bedroom door to reveal a beautiful woman with olive complexion. This woman has gorgeous almond eyes, and straight raven hair. She carries a slate bag in her hand. He points directly at me, “My wife is on the bed,” he pauses, and introduces her, “Jeannie, this is Dr. Lyng Li, and she is a doctor for vampire hybrids.”

Dr. Lyng Li quickly goes to work. She checks my pulse, and then my body. She presses in on my stomach. I want to throw up. “You must bring your knees all the way up, and separate them for me, please.”

Christian finishes putting his tank on, and he slides his charcoal slacks over his hips. He currently strings his leather belt through his loops. I feel so awkward, with what she asks from me. Dr. Li takes out her gloves, and then she feels around on the inside. I never expect her to insert a contraption inside me. I gasp, as this contraption pinches.

“I am performing a pap smear to check for cancer cells. I will now feel around inside with my hands to check everything,” she pauses, and then continues, “the cervix is closed, which is great news. I will now check, and see if I can find the baby.”

She abruptly leaves the room. My husband pulls a sanguine silk dress shirt over his shoulders, and buttons it. He quickly throws a tie over his collar. In less than a second, he is able to adjust his own tie as if it’s nothing. I patiently wait for her to return. He puts on his gold with ruby cufflinks. I can watch him dress—or undress in front of me all day long. He fascinates me with how quickly he does everything, and he times everything in perfect synchronization. He finishes rolling his socks on his feet, and lacing his dress shoes. When he finishes, he sits beside me gently kisses my lips.

Dr. Li returns, and she knocks on the door again. She has a very large machine with her. She rolls it inside, and she quickly heats the thing up. A few minutes later, she squirts hot liquid over her ultrasound wand. She flips off the lights, and then she brings the screen up. She never asks for my last menstrual period.

She inserts the internal ultrasound wand, “You are four weeks, and five days along. The baby is small, but is okay. You can see a tiny flicker. I know it is not much to see, but that is the start of the baby’s heartbeat. The cervix is excellent, and your uterus is in excellent shape. The baby will change drastically over the next few months.”

I can see what she points to, “Look Chris! Our baby is doing okay!”

She prints off a few ultrasound pictures for me, “I want you to keep in mind that all hybrids like to come earlier than a mortal birth. Hybrids tend to come in between four and eight months. In addition, all hybrids are equally unpredictable. We have more chromosomes than humans do. We also tend to grow at a rapid speed. We have the ability to heal ourselves much faster—unlike mortals. That is why many supernatural creatures feel superior to humans. We can move faster, and we have special talents. A vampire hybrid will also move fast, depending on the DNA of their parents. I will check on your progress next month. You are in fantastic shape. Your baby is doing excellent. I want to keep you on the nausea medicine Dr. Hail prescribed for you. I see no travel—or sex restrictions. Enjoy your honeymoon, and congratulations.”

I stare at the ultrasound pictures. Christian takes out his wallet, and hands Dr. Li several hundred-dollar bills. He escorts her out the front door, and then he returns to lean over my body.

He lustily stares at me with his perfect ultramarine eyes, and then he kisses my belly. He not only kisses my belly, but he leans his head over my stomach, “I hope you stay with us. I may never be the best father for you, but I already love you. Your mommy and I want you to live. I can promise to keep you safe from harm, and to love you for all eternity. You have to grow, and be strong little one. We already lost one baby, and we could not bear to lose another. We love you so much, tiny baby.”

My husband kisses on my stomach, and then he rubs it. The worry and joy fills me completely. That was the sweetest thing he has ever said. He takes my hand, and then he shifts me to his lap, “I am trying my best not to fuck you raw right now. You need to put on your dress so that we can leave for the airport. We are going home to Greece for the next two weeks.”

I thought about my sister, “What about Ava? She is still out there.”

Christian embraces my lips with his, “I believe we have a lot of people currently hunting the bitch down. They will catch her soon. We will not allow her to ruin our honeymoon too.”

I take the hint, and then I put on my lingerie. I change into my honeymoon dress, and it is sanguine with gold accents. I put on my heels, and then I walk out of his bedroom. Both of our rooms will be changing, while we are gone. Sophia has our bags right by the front door. Tony the butler carries our luggage outside.

Louie fixes our hair. He places the tiara and crown back on our heads. I stand at the top of the stairs overlooking the balcony with my large bouquet of ivory roses in my hands. My husband kneels down, and then he gently grabs my leg. He slowly removes the garter belt. The girls are first though. The single women stand at the foot of the stairs. I turn around, and then I lightly toss the bouquet beneath me. Willow catches the bouquet to her dismay.

My husband turns around, and then he lightly tosses the garter belt. Ian catches it, and he makes a face, “Fuck! I don’t want the fucking thing!”

Willow and Ian are stuck together. The photographer takes pictures of the unhappy pair. They glare at each other with repulsion in their eyes. Christian takes my hand, and then he leads me downstairs. Janet takes numerous pictures of us descending the stairs together. They toss birdseed at us. We make it inside the limo, and Christian snickers. The BIB tied pregnancy tests to the back instead of condoms. We have pink or blue balloons
with the word baby, and a question mark on each balloon. We giggle at the insane decorations. I wave goodbye to all my friends, as the limousine pulls away. I keep waving goodbye until my husband turns me around to face him. My hand covers his left cheek for a second. I drop my hand, and move my thumb over those plush lips of his. He leans in to match his lips passionately with mine.

The limo arrives at his small airfield. Three Enforcers are guarding the plane. The limo stops, and Charlie carries our luggage to the plane. Erik and Alexander greet us. I hug both of them goodbye.

Charlie hugs me, and then he kisses my cheek, “Stay safe love, and come home in one piece. We will hold down the bloody fort while you’re gone.”

Christian finally hugs his brother, Erik, and Charlie. We have come a long way, since the old fashion head nods. I continue to show surprise, as they are actually showing affection towards one another. We make it on the plane, and the pilot receives his orders to fly to Greece. We wait to make out with each other. The plane taxies, and then it takes off on the runway.

After we reach proper altitude, the plane stabilizes in the air. Christian carries me to the back. We enter the bedroom with my lips feverishly kissing his. I happily help him out of those clothes. He happens to help me out of my dress. This is where we consummate our marriage. I rock my hips hard and fast over his. I refuse to allow him to take over. He watches me intently, and he continues to moan loudly. I pin his hands to give him two additional hours of hard sex. After sex, my husband pulls me close to him. He has a huge smile on his face, but he is also yawning. I know he will fall asleep soon.

He tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear, “I want to say this, before I fall asleep. I love you very much.”

I know this will not last forever. I lean up, and caress his lips with mine one last time, before he falls asleep, “I love you too, Chris. I will be here when you wake up.”

I pull the blanket over his back, and he cradles me close to him. I already miss him. His beautiful ultramarine eyes close, as he finally drifts off to a peaceful slumber. There is no way I can move him at this point.

  Chapter 15

There is a need to change into something more comfortable. This dress feels like it is suffocating me. I quickly change into a tank, and a pair of cotton shorts. The time reads five o’clock in the morning. I verbalize a few profanities. We have thirteen hours before he wakes up. I tuck myself underneath his arm to fall asleep.

Everything is okay for the next eight hours until loud poundings vibrate our bedroom door. There are loud shouts coming through the door. I glance over at the clock while yawning.

“There are Greek policemen out by the door. They want to search the plane. You have to let them in,” the pilot informs.

In a panic, I grab my phone, and then I quickly cover my husband. I take out my phone to dial Alexander’s number. He must have noticed on the second ring, “What is wrong, Jeannie?”

“There are Greek policemen who want to search the plane. Alex, it is only one o’clock in the afternoon here. Christian will not wake up for another five hours. What do I do?”

“Go in his desk, and pull out both your passports. You also need to show them your armed licenses. Do not hide anything from them. Take the blood, and hide it underneath the floor. Hurry, Jeannie! They will want to know why you are stalling,” he instructs.

I move quickly, and do exactly what he orders. “You also have to show them his medical condition for why he is not waking up. Those papers are in the desk too,” he instructs.

I take out all the medical papers, the passports, and our licenses to carry guns. I nod for the pilot to open the door. “You need to sit down, and act normal, as you can. Keep his door closed. They may not check the back room.”

I take a large gulp out of fear. There are five men entering the plane. The chief officer asks in Greek. I am unable to understand him.

“I don’t comprehend, what you are saying.”

The man sighs, “I need to know what you are doing here in Greece. There is a rise in terror threats. We want you to state your business here.”

“My husband and I just married last night, and we are on our honeymoon.”

“Why has anyone not moved? Why are you still on the plane?”

“Tell him that your husband has a medical condition, and he is unable to move until night fall.” Alexander feeds me the answers.

“My husband has a medical condition, and he’s unable to move until night time. That is why we are still on the plane.” I nervously glance at the men.

The chief frowns, “I want to see medical documentation along with your passports, please.”

I hand him the documents, “Congratulations Mrs. Hunter, on your recent marriage; however; we need to check the plane for bombs and drugs. So… if you have nothing to hide.”

“Let them check the fucking plane. I hope you remember to hand him the document stating the prescriptions on board,” Alexander curses.

I hand the chief the extra medical document, “You might find controlled substances, but here is the paper for that also.”

The man sighs, and he continues to check the plane anyway. Alexander hears the police slamming things, “You must keep as calm. This will be over soon.”

The man points to our bedroom, “Where does this room lead to?”

“That is where my husband is sleeping,” I answer him as honestly as possible.

The man opens the door, and then he walks in. I follow the men. Christian is on the bed and on his side fast asleep. The blankets rest underneath his armpits. I am so glad that I pulled the blanket up. The men check the desk, dressers, and our bathroom.

The man studies my husband, “If someone is checking my plane, I would want to be awake for it.”

The man irritates me, “That would be fine for you, because you don’t have a medical condition. My husband has a very serious medical condition,” I snapped at him.

“You need to relax, Jeannie. I know you are defensive and protective over Chris, but that is not the way to solve problems,” Alexander’s soothing voice calms me down a little.

The man notices that I’m on the phone, “Who are you talking to?”

“I am talking to my brother-in-law.”

The man takes out his hand, “Is it okay, if I have a word with his brother?”

“Go ahead, and put him on the phone. This may actually help you,” Alexander softly urges.

I hand the phone to the man. He quickly commences his line of questioning, “Does your brother have a medical condition?”

His face changes when he realizes that Alexander is also Greek. I can hear Alexander reply to something in their language. The man must feel like shit. His face flushes, and then he closes his eyes. The man speaks to him in Greek. I have no idea what they are conversing to each other. I sit beside my husband, and softly kiss his cheek. The man snaps his fingers, and the other four men quickly leave the plane.

I escort the man out of our bedroom. He hands my phone back, “I apologize Mrs. Hunter. We will leave you two alone. Congratulations on both your wedding, and your baby.”

I watch the men leave. The pilot closes the door. I sigh on the phone to Alexander, “That was scary! What did you say to them?”

“I told them my brother is really sick, and he needs his sleep. I also told them that you are expecting, and you are in a delicate condition. You do not need the extra stress. Now how much time do you have left?”

The clock states it is two o’clock in the afternoon, “I have exactly four hours before he wakes up.”

To my surprise, Alexander remains on the phone with me, “How are you feeling?”

“I am fine. How is Barbie holding up?”

Alexander sounds like he is making smooching sounds, “She is upset, and she is right beside me. She is angry that her sister is gone. We have all the Enforcers trying to search, where your bitch for a sister is hiding at right now. They had to have been really close to us last night. Those papers ca
me too quick. They managed to kidnap a few people from the reception last night.”

I make a sound of guttural annoyance, “I saw Tracy and Shelly in the bathroom at the reception. She was upset with Christian marrying me. Now I feel guilty for going off on them.”

“I never thought to check the bathrooms. There is a great possibility that they were waiting to abduct you. It is a great thing it was not you. I believe they were waiting for the perfect opportunity to kidnap you. I will send the Enforcers to check the bathrooms right now.”

“How are Gabriel and Joey doing?”

“Ember was sent home with Uriel, Raphael, and Daniel. Gabriel is searching, and he is trying to figure out what happened. He wants to know, how someone was able to abduct them so easily. Gadriel is upset that Mariah was murdered. They were trying to work things out. Joey and Rosalie have returned to Avalon for damage control. A lot of existences were deeply affected last night.”

“I feel completely responsible for all of this. This is my entire fault. I am truly sorry to Barbie. I feel that I should be there trying to hunt my sister down.”

“You did what you could to stop your insane sister. This is not your fault. Ava caused all this grief–not you. You need to enjoy your honeymoon with my brother.”

“Do you believe she did this on her own free will—or do you believe my sister was forced to listen to her maker?”

“Never reason with her insanity. Even when Erik was under me, he still kept his own mind, and he did his own thing. You can only enforce your will as a maker, if it comes to death. I believe your sister did this on her own free will. I suspect that they made a bond to each other, before he kidnapped her. I think your house was staged to make it seem she was abducted. I am sorry to inform you of this, but your sister did this cruelty of her own accord. I know you are hoping for things to be different, but sadly, that is not the case. We will inform you if anything changes. Now… go to my brother since you have two hours left.”
