Finger Bang Page 6

That was it. Kaylee felt rage from months of being bossed around by Andrea build up inside her, not to mention all the angst she felt due to the things she’d wanted to tell Blaze earlier. Andrea had it coming from months and months of snottiness, and Kaylee was going to grab onto her newfound anger and courage while she had it. “Uh, I don’t think so.” She looked up at Andrea. “Dr. Jones told you to do it, so you do it. I have other work to do.”

Andrea looked shocked at first. Then she leaned over and said, her voice low, “Dr. Jones said those papers need to be copied by the time she gets back.”

“Yes, I’m sure she did and I’m sure she expected you to do it.” Kaylee took a deep breath. “Why don’t we not copy them and see what she says?” Kaylee had wanted to add You had one job to do—one. That’s it…but she said nothing. She maintained eye contact with Andrea long enough to see her reaction change from shock to anger to…fear? Wow. Kaylee looked back down at the papers before she started laughing. Almost hysterically.

“God.” Andrea walked back over to the other desk. “I was just fucking with you.”

Yeah. Kaylee was pretty sure she hadn’t been, but she did know one thing—Andrea would not get her to do her dirty work again ever.

What a great feeling that was.

That told her one thing and one thing only. She needed to have another orgasm soon.

  Chapter Eight

KAYLEE GOT HOME late afternoon and was happier than she would have expected when she spied Rachel’s car in front of the house. Part of her had wanted to tell her three best girlfriends about the coolest news ever, that she’d finally experienced the Big O. But her face dropped as she walked up the sidewalk to the house, realizing she couldn’t—wouldn’t—say a word.

Well, she could if she didn’t mind Rachel knowing Kaylee had slept with her brother.

And if she didn’t mind her friends knowing she’d never had an orgasm.

No. No way. She’d take it all to the grave.

But she was dying to hear about her friends’ trip to Boulder and their multiple orgasms—well, maybe not multiple but synchronous? Since she’d experienced her own magic (and, dammit, she really wished she could tell), she wanted to know what had happened with them.

She contained the infectious grin that had spread over her face as her hand wrapped around the doorknob. Walking in through the sliding door, she found her three friends sitting at the kitchen table.

  They looked tired.

Maddy started smiling when she saw Kaylee, but Shannon and Rachel had to make an effort to look positive. What was up with that? Kaylee said, “So happy to see you. Let me throw my stuff in my room and then you have to tell me all about it.” As she walked to her room, she could hear Rachel grousing about something, but she couldn’t tell what.

When she got back to the kitchen, Rachel asked, “You called me in sick at work today, right?”

  “Yeah, I promised.”

Rachel let out a breath. “Good.” She took a sip of the Diet Coke in front of her. “Sandy called and asked if I was going to be there Friday, but she sounded all accusatory. I just wanted to make sure she didn’t know I was lying to her.”

“Well, if she knows, it’s not because of me.”

  “Good.”

“So tell me about your trip. I want to know how it went.”

Rachel rolled her eyes. “Not even worth my time.”

“Oh, come on. You made such a big deal about it. You were even gonna drag me.”

Maddy was giggling. “Don’t even listen to her, Kay. It was all it was advertised to be. Hell, more. Much, much more.”

Rachel said, “So says Madam O.” She took another sip of her soda. “Note to self: Good ideas that you get while drinking only appear to be good.”

Kaylee started laughing. “Would somebody please put me out of my misery?”

Shannon scowled. “Yeah, okay. So we get up there last night, right? And Rachel’s friend Scout let us crash on her bedroom floor. Thin blankets, tiny pillows. Un-fucking-comfortable, okay? But I’m like, this is cool, ‘cause I’m gonna have a killer orgasm tomorrow, right?” Kaylee nodded. “Uh, yeah…I don’t think so.”

Maddy said, “Oh, you so could have, chickenshit.”

  “Fuck you.”

  She grinned. “Oh, I was.”

  Kaylee prompted her. “And…?”

Maddy continued. “So we got there in the morning like we were supposed to, and we had to attend this orientation-type meeting. You know, kind of an interview or instructional-type thing before.” She stuck out her chin and hooded her eyes, attempting to look older and smarter. Then she deepened her voice and, with a smirk hiding behind her lips, said, “Training, if you will.”

“Okay.” Kaylee thought it was weird but decided to keep her opinions to herself. Shannon still had a sour look on her face but seemed happy to let Maddy continue talking.

“So it’s not just us—there are a few other women. And they’re all serious, right? Totally serious—about how this is a great way to meditate…and how we’ll have a partner who will help us achieve a mindful orgasm, but that’s not the goal, right? No, it’s just focusing on the sensation. Anyway, after all the orientation-type stuff, they give us the chance to walk away. No hard feelings, you know, but if you’re feeling weirded out, you can back out.”

Shannon nodded. “So I did. I’m sorry, but after the way they talked about it, I was too freaked out.”

“But, shit, Shan. You got that far. Why’d you stop then? You should have at least tried it. God.”

“Nope. It would have felt like rape by that point.”

  Maddy laughed harder. “Whatever.”

“Besides, I didn’t think I could afford all the therapy I would need years from now, so I backed out. Smart thing to do.”

Kaylee smiled and nodded. She’d already known she wouldn’t have been able to do it, and part of her took comfort in knowing she wasn’t the only one. She looked at Maddy. “So you and Rachel did it?”

  Maddy shrugged. “Kind of.”

“What do you mean kind of?”

Rachel’s brows lowered. “What she means, my friend, is that I did it, but I will never do it again.”

  “Why not?”

“Hey, I’m glad I gave it a shot. It’s one of those things I’ll look back on my life and think about and I won’t regret not having tried it. But…it was weird. I mean…you lay on the floor, right? Pants off, and the guy has a leg across your waist. And he has this peaceful but faraway look on his face. Oh, and the way you’re positioned, the bottoms of one of your feet touch.”

Maddy giggled and said, “And he’s not even hot.”

“Damn straight. Not even hot. Not even fucking cute. So how the hell am I supposed to get all excited when I have ugly guy sliding his finger all over my clit…and God knows how many clits that fucking finger has touched!”

“Oh, come on, Rach. He was wearing a glove.”

  “Yeah, but it’s the principle.”

Kaylee had to know. “So did you?”

  Rachel raised her eyebrows. “Come?”

  “Yeah.”

Rachel scowled again but Maddy spoke for her. “No. She’s an uptight bitch.”

“That’s not it.” Rachel looked at Kaylee, appealing to her friend. “You know what it’s like, Kaylee. You have to be in the mood…which I wasn’t, ‘cause I didn’t have a hot guy making me think nasty thoughts. And then you have to be relaxed, and I couldn’t because it was a strange place, and I was surrounded by couples doing the same damn thing. It was like…” She lowered her voice and leaned over the table, as though they were in a crowded room surrounded by dozens of people who had the potential to overhear her. “It was like I was at an orgy but no one gave me enough liquor to relax.” Kaylee began wondering if Rachel had ever been to an orgy, but she wasn’t going to ask. “I felt so pressured, but I couldn’t just chill. My everything down there was clenched tight…not like getting ready to come, you know? More
like it ain’t ever gonna happen, honey, ‘cause you ain’t doin’ it for me.”

Maddy had been giggling, but now she was laughing raucously, two tears dropping from her eyes. “Next time we go, you’ll have to say, ‘’Scuse me, but I need the good-looking guy to help me achieve mindful orgasm. The ugly guy’s technique was off’.” She laughed again, unable to catch her breath.

“Oh, come on, Maddy. I’m trying to be serious here.” She looked at Kaylee again. “If I could have relaxed, maybe it would have happened.”

“But weren’t you supposed to focus all your attention on that? You know, not let your mind wander?”

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she could have slapped her hand over it. Her friends might start wondering how Kaylee knew so much about it, and it was only thanks to Blaze that she knew anything. Oh, shit. Maybe Maddy had said something, but she couldn’t remember. She relaxed as she realized no one took notice. If Kaylee shouldn’t have known, no one was the wiser. Rachel said, “Yeah, yeah, I know, but it was such a foreign experience, you know? I mean…when you decide to have sex, you get intimate with one guy…er, or person, depending on your proclivities…unless… Oh, hell. You know what I mean. What I’m saying is there’s a protocol, and this breaks all those rules.”

Maddy started howling with laughter again, and Kaylee could barely understand her when she squealed, “The sexual protocol!”

“Maddy, would you kindly shut the hell up? I need to talk about this and you’ve been a pain in the ass about it all goddamn day.”

Maddy’s face changed from highly amused to abashed in just a few seconds. But then she giggled again. “I’m sorry, Rach. It’s just funny, you know.”

“To you maybe. I so wanted this to happen and it just fell apart.”

  “I’m sorry. I’ll shut up.”

“Thank you.” She turned to Kaylee. “I guess all I’m saying is this: I discovered that for me personally to achieve orgasm, I need to be invested in the experience. I can’t have a good time with a stranger who doesn’t care for me.”

“Okay, okay, I’m calling bullshit right now.” Maddy had a huge grin on her face.

  Rachel looked surprised. “Oh, what?”

“Remember that guy you picked up last December? The one who rocked your world? The one-night stand guy?”

Rachel couldn’t help but grin. “Oh, yeah…but you’re proving my point for me. I really liked that guy. I wouldn’t have minded dating him for real. He was fucking incredible in bed.”

“Bottom line, Kay. Rachel didn’t like the guy rubbing her, so she wasn’t invested. I, on the other hand, experienced more orgasms at one time than I ever have. Absolutely amazing.”

Rachel said, “Yeah, rub it in.”

Maddy started laughing again. Then she said, “I was positive nothing would happen. You know, he’d be stroking me and it’d feel good, but that was it. And it’s just like Rachel said—the room’s well-lit, everyone’s clothed except all us gals from the waist down. It’s pretty matter of fact. Anyway…so we get in position. He’s got his glove on, has lube on his index finger, my legs are spread, and I just close my eyes, prepared to focus on what I’m feeling. And, sure, it feels great. My mind starts to wander a little and I pull myself back. And, oh, I don’t know…maybe about three or four minutes into it, I feel the tingle, you know…the pull. That crazy—you know, I know it’s gonna happen then. So my mind is definitely focused by that point. And then wham! It didn’t take long. What’s crazy is it didn’t feel any different from when I’ve been with a guy I liked. Only…”

  “Yeah, tell her, Madam O.”

Maddy grinned. “Only…it lasted forever. And then he gave me a few seconds to catch my breath and asked if I wanted to keep going.”

  Kaylee asked, “Well? Did you?”

“You kidding me? Hell, yeah, I’m gonna ride that finger for the full fifteen minutes, get what I paid for. I’m surprised I wasn’t humping his fucking hand.” All the girls around the table laughed. Then Maddy said, “So, yeah, we kept going.”

“And this girl is noisier than I thought. I mean…you know…we hear each other when we have guys over, and I’d heard Maddy before, but Jesus Christ, can she howl.”

  “Howl?”

“Yes, howl.” Rachel shook her head. “And, if I counted right, five?”

  “Seven.”

  “No way.”

“Yeah…seven times. Wowsa. I rode that wave.” She winked. “Why do you think I had to sleep on the way home?”

Rachel shook her head. “See? How the hell could I have any fun with her stealing all the orgasms in the room?”

Maddy snickered. “Yep, I used up the day’s quota. No one else is allowed.” She tilted her head and said to Kaylee, “But don’t you let her make you feel sorry for her.”

Kaylee grinned, looking from one woman to the next. “Why? What’d I miss?”

Maddy’s right eyebrow arched halfway up her forehead. “You gonna tell her or should I?”

Rachel scowled. “I have a date Friday night.”

  Kaylee shrugged. “So?”

“It’s one of Scout’s roommates. His name’s Ty.”

“Yeah, and I think that’s why she wasn’t as into the whole OM experience this morning. She felt like she was cheating on him and they haven’t even gone on a date yet.”

  “I did not.”

“You did, Rachel. But it’s not cheating. It’s not like you’re making love with someone or even having sex. You’re just having an orgasm.”

Kaylee thought about her experience the night before. If she and Blaze hadn’t had full-blown sex afterward, would she have thought they weren’t engaging in sex?

No. What they’d experienced was intimate. It was hot too, but it was definitely not a simple transaction. It was a step above a hairdresser or nail tech…or even a doctor. He was touching her, in tune with her, and his goal had been to figure out what she liked and how she liked it and to make her feel as much pleasure as possible. So, yeah, Kaylee knew—and she’d never say a word—that if she’d had a boyfriend, she wouldn’t have felt right about what Blaze had done. It would have felt like infidelity.

Kaylee almost blushed thinking about Blaze again. Wow…what he’d done to her. She couldn’t get him out of her head…and she was pretty sure she liked him even more than before, but she’d be surprised if he wanted to see her again.

Still…she was going to allow herself to think about him now. It was okay. She was past the blushing stage and onto the analytical one. But there was nothing analytical about the thoughts swimming through her head.

  Chapter Nine

WHY THE FUCK was Blaze so nervous about calling Kaylee and talking to her? Just days earlier, he’d had the balls to offer—in front of a crowded bar full of people, no less—to finger bang her to orgasm, and he hadn’t thought twice about it.

Now, though, he was nervous as hell. His palms were warm, on the verge of sweating, as he dialed Rachel. Yeah, Rachel. And she’d better not say a goddamned thing about it.

When she answered the phone, his sister sounded out of breath. “Yeah? What’s up?”

“I’ll make this quick. I just need Kaylee’s number from you.”

Oh, fuck. Rachel’s voice had that skeptical tone in it when she thought she knew what was happening. “Why? What’s going on?”

Should he tell her? Well, no, he knew he shouldn’t. And he wouldn’t—not without Kaylee’s permission. After all, Kaylee had to live with her, and Rachel could be quite intense on occasion. He’d never have a shot with Kaylee if he ruined her harmony at home. But Blaze wasn’t a good liar, especially with his sister.

Over the phone, though…maybe he could pull it off. He had to try. He hoped he hadn’t paused enough for her to figure out what he was doing. “Sam wanted to know.”

Rachel was quiet for a second, but Blaze could tell she was walking—maybe hiking across campus to her car. “Oh, yeah? That dirty dog. I had no idea he had eyes for Kaylee.
” Blaze heard a little chuckle escape his sister’s voice. “How long’s he been carrying that torch?”

Fuck…he hoped Rachel wouldn’t grill Sam the next time she saw him. Then again, maybe Blaze could ask him to play along if it ever came to that. “Not long. He hasn’t known her for very long.” Weak, man. Very weak. He’d have to start pretending they had a shitty signal if Rachel didn’t quit asking questions.

Instead, she asked Blaze if he had a piece of paper handy to write the number down. He was lucky, because she said she had to run after she gave it to him, and he was out from under the microscope.

Unfortunately, he was still nervous. He hadn’t been turned down by a girl in a long time, probably because he’d grown good at reading signals, and he didn’t ask out girls who were a sure negatory. Kaylee…he had no fucking idea. She’d been so warm, then so hot…and then like the South Pole yesterday morning.

Still…he couldn’t be a pussy about it. And he didn’t want to spend the rest of his life wondering. He had to know. So he was going to ask, and she could turn him down if she wasn’t interested, and he’d have a cool memory of their one night together.

But he hoped she’d give him a chance. It wasn’t just all in his head, was it? They’d had a little magic together, hadn’t they?

Yeah…he knew they had. And he had to hope Kaylee remembered that too. He took a deep breath and dialed her number.

She didn’t answer her phone, but he got her voicemail. God, her voice on the message sounded cute—all happy and perky, a side she didn’t show everyone, so he wondered why he could hear it on her message. “Hi, this is Kaylee. I’m either out of range or I don’t know your number, so leave me a message and maybe I’ll call you back.”

He took a deep breath and summoned his courage, clearing his throat. “Hey, Kaylee. Blaze here.” He paused, making sure he sounded calm and collected. He thought about spilling the beans in the message and changed his mind. He wanted her to call him back so they could have a conversation, and if she didn’t, then she’d never know what he’d called about and it wouldn’t be nearly as bad as if he asked in the message and then she didn’t call. So he just asked her to call him back and he left his number, even though it would be available on her phone anyway. If she got a lot of calls from weirdos who didn’t leave messages, she might not know Blaze’s number. He didn’t want there to be any mistakes.
