But I wasn't sure… Even though it was much better now, the new goldfish had a heap of holes in its tail and missing bits of fin. It didn't seem like a proper goldfish; maybe only a goldfish-ish. More like half a fish.
“We'll call him Five-and-a-half!” I announced, and took a big bite of my strawberry shortcake.
“One, Two, Three,
Four, Five, and Five-and-a-half?” Mum repeated, grinning broadly at me.
Y'know, after a yucky, gloomy week, I decided that if anyone asked me this second if we were having fun yet, I'd say
YES, YES, YES!!
'Cause right now, me and my friends were starting to have the best, most gorgeous-est time, I was sure.
(Just as long as Mrs Mumbles never got her claws into Five-and-a-half…)
