“And it also means,” said Mara, “that the Frostborn have forces enough to invade the south.”

“Every group of enemy soldiers we have seen for the last week,” said Qhazulak, “has been marching south.”

“Then it has begun,” said Mara. “The Frostborn are moving to crush Andomhaim.”

“Aye,” said Jager, his usual ready smile absent.

Mara said nothing. She hoped that Ridmark and Calliande had succeeded in their mission. She hoped they had won allies to fight alongside Andomhaim, that they had succeeded in defeating the wicked Tarrabus Carhaine and putting Arandar on the High King’s throne.

Because they were out of time.

The Frostborn were coming for them.

  THE END

  A Second Author’s Note

Thank you for reading FROSTBORN: EXCALIBUR!

(Thirteen books down, two to go.)

The FROSTBORN series gained many new readers in 2016 (thank you, all!), and consequently, I have received many emails and Facebook messages wondering how long the entire series would be. That is an eminently fair question, so I thought I would answer it here.

FROSTBORN: EXCALIBUR was the thirteenth book in the series, and there will be a grand total of fifteen books. I planned for fifteen books when I plotted out the series in 2012, and the goal has always been to write fifteen books. FROSTBORN: THE DRAGON KNIGHT will be the fourteenth book.

If all goes well, FROSTBORN: THE DRAGON KNIGHT and the final book of the series will come out before the end of summer 2017. Brother Caius would probably quote James 4:13-15 about the dangers of long-term planning, but God, health, weather and life permitting, I plan to publish the last book of the FROSTBORN series in 2017.

Thank you all for reading, and I hope to see you for FROSTBORN: THE DRAGON KNIGHT!
