xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 The fans are hoping for perhaps a fitness show for 2012? Maybe something where you can also teach your healthy eating to fans?
a fitness show would be a dream come true- not for me only but a way to reach ALL moms who desire fitness but don’t know how!
THE HOT, FIT MOM
Every woman likes to feel attractive and fit. Not every woman constantly proclaims how attractive and fit and “hot” she is. Kate has raised praising herself to an art form.
xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 How can u have a body so toned and fab after 8 kids?! X
running, healthy eating& determination! It’s possible for anyone!:)
Awkward:When a woman tells me in groc store:’my husband saw you in ppl mag&sd ‘Kate is smokin’ hot!’ That never gets easier…what2say?!
THE NOT MEDIOCRE COUPON BLOGGER
Before her first online coupon blog even posted, she was already tweeting about how hard she was working.
Sorry guys! I’m working—and loving it! :) busy!
Another day, another city! I love my job! Coupons and saving excite me!! Yay!!!
What Kate was referring to here was simply her visit to Coupon Cabin’s office in Whiting, Indiana. Hiring Kate appeared to be little more than a publicity stunt to get their name out. If not a publicity stunt, then Coupon Cabin did not do their research to find out exactly what they would be getting, or not getting, from Kate Gosselin. The old adage that “no publicity is bad publicity” does not apply in the case of Kate Gosselin, as I’m sure they have found out by now.
Good news! Over time I’ve learned a lot about how 2 stretch a budget!Excited 2 share my tips as a blogger @CouponCabin!
Educating the world about how to save money isn’t really working too well for Kate, given the fact that she drives three cars costing a total of around $200,000, including a Mercedes, a Toyota Sequoia and an Audi sports car. She was supposed to be giving us mediocre people advice on how to save money, but that is pretty difficult to do for someone who takes a limo to New York City every 6 weeks to get her hair cut and colored at one of the most expensive salons in the country; who follows her salon visits with trips to a very expensive restaurant in the city; who says she buys and eats only organic foods, shopping regularly at Whole Foods, one of the most expensive grocery stores; and who pays a small army to maintain a 23-acre compound in the country.
Here she takes a stab at helping her loyal followers on her blog:
“This is a really quick idea for breakfast that I recently thrilled my kids with! I bought a “pancake pen” at Williams-Sonoma and made pancakes shaped into hearts and my kids first letters of their names! …”
Within minutes of this blog being posted on Kate’s website, her tweeties began to point out that rather than going to a high-end store like Williams Sonoma and buying their pancake pen for 10 dollars, Kate could have purchased her pancake pen at her local craft store for under 2 dollars. Kate then returned to her website to post a “Money Saving Tip.”
The following article by Jen Chaney of the Washington post sums up Kate Gosselin’s “not mediocre” job as a coupon blogger.
Kate Gosselin, coupon blogger: What she’s taught us so far
By Jen Chaney
Kate Gosselin: setting new standards in coupon blogging.
Earlier this month, in a watershed moment for coupon blogging, Kate Gosselin was named coupon blogger at CouponCabin.com.
“We look forward to sharing the unique insight she has gained over the years,” the president of CouponCabin said in the press release that touted the announcement, a comment that suggested that, as a mother of eight, Gosselin would impart important lessons about finding deals and saving money.
Well, we’re now 10 days and four posts into Gosselin’s new gig. And here’s what we’ve learned about shopping and family budgeting from Kate Gosselin.
1. Kate Gosselin did not have a face-lift.
In an item posted yesterday, Gosselin confirmed that she has had no work done on her face. “With all of the buzz about me having had a facelift, I will confirm that I have not had one (I am only 36!!!),” she wrote.
I am grateful for this blog post because the buzz about the former “Kate Plus 8” star’s possible face-lift was so deafening that I could barely have conversations with people. “So what happened at work today? I said — WHAT HAPPENED AT WORK TODAY? I’M SORRY FOR YELLING BUT IT’S OBVIOUSLY HARD FOR YOU TO HEAR ME OVER THE INCREDIBLE BUZZ ABOUT KATE GOSSELIN’S POSSIBLE FACE-LIFT.” Yes, that’s exactly how nightly dinner discussions with my husband had been going until now. Thanks to Gosselin, peace has been restored to our home.
2. Cyber Monday is much, much better than Black Friday.
Gosselin made this point in a blog post about Black Friday as well as one on Cyber Monday. This observation was in no way influenced by the fact that Gosselin is working for a Web-based enterprise that specializes in online shopping discounts.
3. In 2004, it was possible to get a really good deal on stockings at Pottery Barn.
This was a key point in that Cyber Monday post; the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant recalled how, shortly after the birth of her sextuplets, she opted to shop online rather than drag all six babies and her two older children to the mall. As a result, “on that Monday following the Thanksgiving weekend, I was able to find a great deal on Pottery Barn monogrammed stockings for each of’’ the kids, she wrote.
Hey, that’s useful information. All you need to do is purchase a time machine (I understand Amazon.com is offering a sweet deal on those right now), set it for 2004, then immediately get online and buy those monogrammed stockings. Assuming, of course, that Gosselin’s purchase didn’t deplete the entire stock.
4. There actually are some useful coupon codes in Gosselin’s post.
Links to discounts at stores ranging from Kohl’s to Bath & Bodyworks can be found in Gosselin’s blog. However, I am guessing those links are coming from a CouponCabin staffer who (again, guessing) probably dumps embed code into the posts Gosselin writes.
Is that useful for those trying to save money this holiday season? Absolutely. Are those discounts evidence of unique insight that only Gosselin can provide?
Uh, no. But the holiday season is still young, my friends. And Gosselin still has time to wow us with gift ideas and cash-saving suggestions that only she — a woman who, again, just to be crystal clear here, has never had a face-lift — can provide.
THE ORGANIZING MASTERMIND
Kate has always represented herself to the world as some kind of organizational genius. Somehow, she came to believe that plastering post-it notes everywhere and making lists of instructions for others to carry out was all that was required to be labeled as an organizing guru. Just like her other manufactured personas, this one is false. It is a much easier task to keep a household organized when you have nannies and housekeepers and a personal chef and laundry people and lots of worker bees at your beck and call.
GM twitter world! In organization mode here! Thrilled w/ sale at Gymboree outlet (3.99 shirts for boys!) so led2closet organization..!

xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 do the 3 little girls and 3 little boys wear the same size clothes?
nope! It’s all so confusing and I have to think hard to organize it all!
In the next tweet, Kate tweeted and posted a photo of a small shelf with folded towels and swimsuits on it. She was very proud of being able to accomplish this daunting task all by herself.
http://t.co/mpLf02ec My top of the morning project.. Organizing swim suits and towels inside near the pool! Oh how I love organization! :)
THE INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER
When you’re down, and troubled, and you need a helping hand, just follow Kate Gosselin on Twitter and you, too, can be uplifted by her positive attitude and sunny disposition. It’s strange that her Twitter personality completely contradicts everything she has ever shown herself to be.

This next tweet came in right about the time that Kate’s TLC/Discovery contract was finished and she was feeling abandoned.

RT @xxxx “you can find happiness in any situation if you look hard enough” <3 - @Kateplusmy8 YES,I’LL RT MY OWN QUOTE—BC IT’S SO TRUE!
xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 Feel like sharing some of your strength for adversity? I could really use some help right now..
My motto:Failure is NOT an option. Give self permission 2 'crumble' 4 a min, then pick back up&keep going. Push thru! Hugs!XO
SUPERMOM!!
Kate always tweets things that are intended to make people admire and/or marvel at her for being so very busy. She doesn’t seem to grasp the fact that most moms and dads or caregivers are doing all these things AND working full-time jobs as well. Her tweets about doing laundry or teaching others how to do laundry are particularly amusing since she doesn’t do her own laundry. She has people to do it for her.
GM all!My 8 r successfully off2 school&I’ve got tons 2do..Lots coming up &I hav deadlines! Working fast&furious 2day-just the way I lik it!
Goodnight my tweeties… Another long and tiring day here.. SO glad to see my bed! :) Anyone feel the same way?? :) Catch you tomorrow..XO

This poor woman seems to have bought into Kate’s supermom act, but her reaction is probably not what Kate was expecting:
xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 Thanks for bragging. You just made the rest of us moms feel like losers. :(
no way! If you’re a mom, you’re an automatic super woman! We all are:) moms job is never done! Keep plugging away!:)
AUTHOR
This tweeter wants Kate to write a book. It isn’t clear whether the tweeter realizes that Kate already has her name on three books. It is also not clear why, with so much free time on her hands, Kate has not gotten “a chance” to write more books.
xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 I AGREE!! LOVED WHAT U WROTE! U SHD WRITE A BOOK ;) Love ya and miss seeing your kids faces! My 3yr old also loved watching!
great to hear! More books coming hopefully once I have a chance to write them :)
ALL OF THE ABOVE
Kate takes every opportunity on Twitter to talk about all the great things she thinks she is qualified to do, to proclaim what a great mom she is, and to whine about the “rif raf” that goes alone with her line of work (whatever that work may be at this point).
xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 if you could decide what your next step in your career would be…what would it be!? Never say never. Remember all is possible!
public speaking/talk show/helping moms get into shape/organize etc..
xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 are u addicted to fame?

xxxxx @Kateplusmy8 loved her interview in runners mag. I have three kids and can barely find the time to run…how she does it with 8 is amazing!

and I miss tv… Match made in heaven lol
KATE’S SELF-GLORIFYING RESPONSES AND RETWEETS
Here is a sampling of some of the complimentary tweets Kate receives. She liked some of them so much she felt compelled to retweet them. A “retweet” is marked by the letters RT at the beginning of the line. Kate’s reply to a retweet appears at the end of the line in bold. The tweeter’s name has been removed to protect the naive.
RT @xxxx @Kateplusmy8

A RADICAL IDEA
Kate Gosselin is a wealthy woman nearing forty. She has the luxury of being able to stay home and spend some real quality time with her children before they leav
e home for good. They made her all that money. She could stop the constant tweeting that always seems to be at its heaviest when the children are at home with her. They would probably appreciate it if she were to give them back what fleeting moments of their childhood they may still have left. There may still be time for her to set things right by putting their needs ahead of her own for a change.
