“Hey, you,” I replied with a big, goofy smile on my face.
“Whatever made you that happy, I would like you to keep it in your life,” he commented after looking at my stupid grin.
“I guess you’ll have to stay by my side, then,” I said slyly and left his hug to scramble into the car.
I looked at him through the car window and saw him laugh and shake his head as if in disbelief. He turned and sat in the car with a smile on his face.
“So, how did it go on the site yesterday?” I asked, genuinely interested.
“Well, I think I resolved the issue with a minimum amount of damage,” he said with a little stressed V forming between his eyebrows. “At least I hope so,” he added after thinking about it for a minute.
“I’m sure you did,” I assured him, staying positive.
He needed my optimism, and I was more than ready to provide that for him. Whatever the issues were, I would be there to support him.
“There are some things…” he started, but then stopped his train of thought, concentrating on driving through the city. “There are things you may not understand,” he finished with a serious expression.
“I’m a smart girl,” I replied. “Try me.”
“You see, there are people out there who are not exactly what they seem or claim to be,” he said at a red traffic light, turning to face me so he could read my emotions.
“Are you one of those people?” I asked, attempting to guess at what he was trying to say.
“Yes and no,” he said. “Everything I’ve said so far is true and my feelings for you are also true.”
“Is there something you need to tell me?”
I was getting restless. Was he breaking up with me? Already?
“Yes, there is,” he said with a heavy sigh. “But not right now. I’ll tell you some other time.”
His response was far too mysterious for my liking, but I decided not to press it. He would tell me when he was ready.
We drove in silence until we reached RW Empire.
“All I’m saying is that I need you to trust me,” he said after parking his car in front of the office building.
“I do trust you, otherwise I wouldn’t be working for you.”
“Good,” he said, relieved. “There are some vicious people out there, and they might come after me or anyone close to me. I need you by my side so I can protect you.”
“I’ll be right where you need me to be,” I replied while stroking his cheek with the palm of my hand. “Although I doubt anyone is going to come after me.”
“Let’s hope so,” he said.
What the hell had happened at that mining site? Nathan was so worried and anxious. He was looking around the street like someone might ambush us. I had never seen him like that.
We made our way through security and up to the office. When the elevator doors opened, Angela was once again there to greet us.
“Good morning, Mister Rockwood, Miss Parker,” she said with a big smile.
“Good morning, Angela,” Nathan replied.
I nodded to the lively lady in front of us.
“Mister Rockwood,” Angela added with a worried expression, “Mister Huff asked me to tell you that he would like to discuss the mining site issue as soon as you arrived.”
“Alright,” Nathan said. “Thank you, Angela.”
The politeness in that office blew my mind. If only I could keep up with that. Angela turned and left. Suddenly, Nathan clasped my hand in his and tugged me to go with him.
“Time to meet Bradley,” he said.
Every person in the office turned their heads as we walked by, my hand in Nathan’s. I felt a blush covering my cheeks. I waved to the few people I already knew. Nathan just nodded to everyone on our way.
There goes my attempt at keeping things low-key.
We stopped in front of Bradley Huff’s office. Nathan opened the door and we walked in. No knocking.
The man behind the desk almost protested against the intrusion, but seeing his boss storm in made him slump a little in his chair. He was on the phone and ended the call quickly. He squared his shoulders and stood up. I knew he was in some sort of trouble – you could cut the tension in the room with a knife.
Nathan let go of my hand, only to introduce me to his business partner.
“Bradley, this is Simona Parker. She’s my new personal assistant on projects and arrangements,” he explained, gesturing towards me.
I felt so tiny next to him. Nathan’s posture was straight, his broad shoulders and strong legs spread in a wide stance. Bradley really did seem rather small next to him.
“Nice to meet you,” I said, taking the man’s outstretched hand.
“Nice to meet you too,” he replied hastily. “Nathan, I need to talk to you about yesterday,” he continued, letting go of my hand and turning to the man beside me.
“What about it?” Nathan asked, clearly pissed at his business partner.
Bradley was lost for a moment, looking from Nathan to me and back to Nathan. I felt like I was intruding. This had nothing to do with me and I wanted to get out of there. Nathan noticed my discomfort and gave me a way out.
“Simona, I need you to book a flight and a hotel for you and me for tomorrow,” he said, putting his hand on my shoulder. “We’re flying to Antwerp, Belgium, I have a business meeting there.”
He was a good boss. All of his orders sounded more like requests, yet something about him made me feel like I would be punished if I disobeyed. I didn’t entirely mind the thought.
“Okay, how many nights and which hotel?” I asked, trying to act professional.
Whenever I was around Nathan, work seemed to be the furthest thing from my mind.
“Four nights, Hotel Julien,” he said before taking his hand off my shoulder.
He turned to Bradley and I understood it was my cue to leave.
“Excuse me,” I said politely, turned on the spot and left.
I closed the door behind me and immediately heard an angry discussion erupt inside. I would have wanted to eavesdrop a bit, but since there were many other people walking around, I decided to just do my job.
The whole morning was pretty busy for me. The flight was booked, and on such short notice, the airline only had the last two business class seats left. The hotel Nathan chose for our stay looked beautiful. I knew I had to travel with him, mostly because I was his PA, but a tiny thought was creeping in that maybe he was trying to keep me close to him so he could protect me from whatever danger he thought I was in.
I really wish he would tell me what’s going on.
It was only my second day at work and I had already met a bunch of new people. I spent my lunch hour in the lounge area with the other employees, chatting and getting a feel of the place. Of course they all wanted to know what was up with the handholding.
“Mister Rockwood was in a rush to see Mister Huff,” I explained as blandly as I could, “and I guess I wasn’t quick enough.”
I shrugged to make it more believable.
“Well, that certainly was a first,” Angela said with a wink.
I was glad they took me in so quickly. I wouldn’t want to be titled as the boss’s mistress. Clearly Nathan was okay with that, but if I wanted to get along with everybody, I needed to keep my private life private.
I got to spend the other half of the day in my office. I familiarized myself with previous mining projects and the list of employees working for RW Empire, and read some of the management meeting records. I was just about done with the last record when Nathan walked in.
“How are you doing?” he asked.
He tried to sound friendly, but his serious expression betrayed him.
“I’m fine, just going through some paperwork,” I responded with a smile.
I needed him to know that I was happy with the job he had given me. It really was interesting, stimulating, but most of all, unexpected. That morning I had had no idea that I would be flying to Belgium the ne
xt day. And I had never left the country before, so I was very excited about that.
Nathan closed the door behind him and locked it. He strode closer to me and sat on my desk with a wicked smile – he was definitely up to something. He loosened his tie and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. I stared at the flesh peeking out from under his collar, remembering how it felt underneath my fingertips.
“What a nice office you have here,” he said, looking around, knowing exactly how to turn me on and delay my joy.
“Yeah,” I whispered.
My mouth was dry and I wanted him more than ever.
“How do you feel about christening it?” he asked flat out, looking me straight in the eye.
I instinctively licked my lips. I was down with whatever game he was playing. I felt a tingle between my thighs. Everything he said was so sexy and hot. I couldn’t bear it any longer and stood up. I walked to him and positioned myself between his thighs, pushing them wider apart with my hips.
“So, mister boss-man, how would you like me to serve you today?”
I could have sworn his mouth dropped a bit, but seconds later, he was his cool, calm, collected self again. I took his loosened tie off, dropping it on the desk. I continued unbuttoning his shirt, revealing his impeccable body.
“Well, Miss Parker,” he said with a slight growl in his voice, “aren’t you a naughty little thing.”
He took my face in his hands and crushed my lips with his. I dropped my hands and they landed on his thighs. I could feel his erection grow by the second. His tongue was invading my mouth, and the feeling was divine. His intoxicating smell made my head spin.
I started massaging his dick through his pants and he groaned into my mouth. His hands started moving up and down my body. I was all but ready to melt under his touch, when suddenly, my phone started ringing.
I pulled away and looked at him. We were both more than ready to christen my office, but with employees milling about just on the other side of the door, it probably wasn’t the best idea. One of us had to hit the brakes.
“I’m sorry,” I said, trying to explain why it wasn’t a good idea. “It’s just that this is my second day at work and I don’t want any rumors to start spreading among the other employees.”
“Fuck them, you’re mine and they might as well know that,” he said with slight disappointment in his voice.
His comment made me happy and sad at the same time. I didn’t want to disappoint him, especially sexually. That’s where our chemistry really started sparking. I was his, I knew that, body and soul. I had to resolve that situation so he wouldn’t be frustrated.
“Tell you what, Mister Rockwood,” I said as I took my phone and disconnected it. “Since you have been so nice to me, you deserve a special treat.”
His expression was still sullen, but his pupils dilated as he watched me move around my office. I went back to him and kneeled in front of him.
“And since you are so ready,” I said, unzipping his pants, “I would like to fuck you with my mouth.”
Something inside me had irreversibly changed since the night we spent together. I had never been this fearless before, but something about Nathan brought out the wild side I didn’t even know I had.
I took out his impressive erection and gave it a small lick with the tip of my tongue. I felt his dick stir in my hand. His beautiful brown eyes had that golden sheen in them again. I put his tip in my mouth while squeezing his length with my hand.
He put his palm on the back of my head and groaned. I started moving my head up and down his impressive cock, still holding his root in my hand.
“Oh fuck,” he whispered, “I’m going to come in your mouth if you don’t stop,” he warned me.
But his hand never left the back of my head and that was my cue to keep sucking. I felt his release build and squeezed his tip gently with my teeth as his hips bucked against me. That was his undoing, his thick seed exploded in my mouth as he came, growling.
“Oh fuck, you’re so good,” he said after a few moments when he had steadied his breathing.
“I aim to please,” I replied after swallowing his delicious salty seed.
He stood, helped me up and zipped his pants. He took my face in his hands and kissed me passionately, like only a lover would.
“I knew I needed you close to me,” he said after he pulled away from the kiss. “And I owe you one,” he added, winking.
“No…” I didn’t get the chance to object that it wasn’t a competition as his lips landed on mine once again, shutting me up.
A few moments later, he let me go, smiling his big beautiful smile, showing his perfect teeth.
“You’re coming home with me. I’ll send someone to pack your stuff for the trip,” he stated in a tone that implied he was not to be argued with.
“Okay,” I muttered under my breath, a bit surprised, but then again, there had been so many surprises in the last couple of days that I was getting used to them.
Or at least so I thought.

We were ready to go and waiting at the Denver International Airport. I was sipping my fresh latte and trying to steady my nerves. It was my first trip out of the country, after all, and I was responsible for everything running smoothly.
Nathan was pacing back and forth nearby. I heard him talking on the phone, but I couldn’t hear what he was saying. At this early hour, there were only a few other people in the business lounge.
I stood up to dispose of my empty cup and walked past him when he motioned for me to take my bag and follow him. He was still on the phone, holding his carry-on with his free hand. He looked behind him every five seconds to check if I was following. He was so serious and cute at the same time. The way he worried about me made my heart melt.
“We’re taking a charter flight,” he announced after hanging up his call.
“But I –” I tried to explain that the plane tickets were non-refundable and already purchased.
“Believe me, babe, taking my private jet is a faster and safer way for us to get to Belgium,” he said with a big smile on his face. “Not to mention a lot more comfortable.”
Well, of course he has a private jet!
I kept forgetting that the handsome, down to earth man next to me was a billionaire. I had to agree with whatever choices he made. It was his money.
“I wish you could have told me that before I bought the other tickets,” I grumbled, a bit disappointed at not having done my job right.
“I wanted to surprise you,” he responded, turning to face me.
“And that you did, once again,” I said. “I wish I could surprise you as much as you surprise me.”
“You are full of surprises.”
His beautiful brown eyes were gazing down at me. A hint of a smile twitched on his lips and it seemed like he was recalling our last couple of days together.
I started thinking about it and, sure enough, I had even managed to surprise myself. Nathan somehow made my shyness disappear when I was with him. He made me bold, both professionally and sexually. It felt like he had unlocked a part of me I had left undiscovered.
We boarded the jet ten minutes later and soon we were ready for takeoff. The flight, which lasted about ten hours, was mostly smooth with only a little turbulence. Nathan was going through some paperwork, preparing for the meeting. He had assigned me to do research on new possible business connections in Europe.
Flying charter really was a far more convenient way to travel, even though it seemed like such a waste to fly a huge plane across the ocean with only two passengers inside.
After finishing my assignment, I decided to take a little nap, since my man was preoccupied with his meeting preparations.
“Babe, we’re landing,” Nathan said quietly and kissed me on my cheek, waking me up.
My nap had turned into a three-hour sleep session. I could see that Nathan had spent all that time working. He looked tired.
“Already?”
I asked sleepily. “Why didn’t you wake me up sooner?”
“You were sleeping so peacefully, I didn’t want to disturb you,” he said. “Besides, it gave me time to prepare for my meetings and reflect on my business choices.”
“Okay,” I replied, yawning and stretching.
The way he looked at me when I was waking up was the way all of womankind wants their men to look at them. His eyes were soft, but his jaw was tense. He had a playful smile on his beautiful lips and he had cocked his head to one side in amusement.
There was much more between us than just attraction, even though he didn’t say it out loud.
Did he love me?
Do I love him?
“A penny for your thoughts?” he said after several minutes.
“Oh… umm… just thinking about this trip,” I stammered.
I knew neither of us was ready to really open up about our feelings towards each other. Our relationship was so fragile and so strong at the same time. We had only known each other for some days and it felt like it was way too soon to fall in love. But our connection was unbelievable, as if we had known each other for an eternity. And the sexual chemistry between us blew my mind.
Is it all about lust? Or is this love at first sight?
The plane started descending and I could see the runway as the lights came closer. We had safely arrived at Antwerp’s Deurne Airport.
The evening air was crisp and I pulled my jacket tighter around me. When we left Denver, it had been warm, but in Antwerp, the climate was totally different. Luckily, Nathan had arranged a private car for us to get to the hotel. I was sure that it should have been my job, but since it was all so new to me, he had decided to take matters into his own hands.
The city of Antwerp was beautiful, but I didn’t have the chance to enjoy it, since it was dark and we arrived at our hotel very quickly. The hotel was located in the city center and was as beautiful in real life as in the pictures I had seen when I booked our stay. The surroundings were also very spectacular and I couldn’t wait to see it all in daylight.
We decided to have dinner in our room. I had booked only one suite for both of us on purpose. Nathan seemed to like it that way. I wanted this trip to be as romantic as possible, keeping his business in mind, of course.
