Robyn continued this pattern until Noah reached between their bodies and played with her clit. It didn’t take long before he felt Robyn tighten around him, but he wasn’t quite ready for this to end, so he concentrated all of his effort on not coming himself.

Robyn came down off her high and slowed her pace. Once she had recovered, she started up again and subsequently pushed Noah past the point of no return. Robyn sensed that he was close to his climax and worked hard to keep the same pace. Seconds later Noah buried his face in her hair and groaned her name as he finally gave into his release.

Feeling thoroughly exhausted, Robyn collapsed against Noah’s chest as he put his arms around her and held her close, gently running his fingers through her hair.

“I’m assuming that was good for you too?” he ventured.

Robyn let out a breathy sigh. “Good doesn’t even begin to describe it,” she whispered.

Noah couldn’t agree more. “Well I think we better get dressed,” he said, readjusting himself in the grass and swatting at his arm. “These mosquitoes are having a heyday.”

Robyn stood up and grabbed for her clothing as Noah did the same. Once they were done, they sat down back down and got comfortable in each other's arms. No matter what came of the next few weeks, they both knew this was a night they'd never forget.

  Chapter 13

Noah and Robyn stayed out in the garden until Robyn fell asleep in Noah’s arms. Hours later, just as the sun was starting to rise, he gently woke her and they made their way inside. Noah knew that today was their last day together before she had to go back to work, but he was counting on her coming to visit him while he was in Europe. Most of his roadies brought their girlfriends along, and he knew it would be pretty lonely for him if she didn't.

Noah woke up in his bedroom a few hours later and smiled as he felt Robyn’s body pressed against his own. He wanted to make the most out of their last day, so he decided to take her to Six Flags since she had never been.

Later that afternoon, they were on the road to San Antonio and excited about what the day had in store for them. They had an amazing time stuffing themselves with carbs and riding various roller coasters, and by night fall Noah practically had to carry Robyn back to his truck. After he helped her in, he got into the driver’s seat and waited until she was comfortably resting her head on his shoulder before starting off towards home.

Robyn returned to work the next day feeling melancholy. She had become accustomed to spending her days with Noah, but she knew she had to adjust to not seeing him so often considering he'd soon be leaving on tour. Thus, she got a few things organized and then got ready to meet with Ken and Joanne for their weekly status update.

In the meeting, the trio discussed the project that Robyn was set to start that week. Robyn was relieved when she found out that it was not as large as they had anticipated, and just as she was heading back to her office to go over the plans, Ken stopped her to bring up the very thing she had been agonizing over ever since her conversation with Noah a few nights prior.

“Robyn, Jo and I just wanted to remind you that you have four weeks of holiday time accumulated,” he pointed out. “Feel free to take some time off this summer. You've earned it.”

“Actually, it's funny you brought that up,” Robyn said, turning to face him. “My boyfriend is going to Europe on business and he invited me to join him. I was hoping I could spend a few weeks there if it doesn't conflict too much with what we have on schedule.”

“When were you thinking of going?” Ken asked.

“How about after this next project is completed?” Robyn suggested. “That would work out perfectly for me.”

Ken stroked his beard for a moment before nodding. “Alright, that sounds fine to me. Just make sure you fill out a vacation form for approval,” he said as he started to walk down the hall. As Robyn turned to continue to her office, he stopped rather abruptly and added, “I’m glad to hear you have someone special in your life, Robyn. I hope he treats you right.”

“Thanks,” Robyn said, smiling as she thought of Noah. Once in her office, she sat down at her desk and thought about calling to tell him the good news, but ultimately she decided to wait until she saw him later that night.

Noah was taking Robyn out to dinner and she assumed they would be heading back to his place after. As much as she loved being at home, she had come to favor his lavish estate over her humble abode. She also wanted to take advantage of whatever time they had left together.

Getting back on track, Robyn focused her thoughts on the present and grabbed the case file for her upcoming project. Most of the drawings were already completed, and now she just had to ensure that everything was set for the start day on Wednesday.

Robyn was going to be out on site supervising this project just like she had Noah’s. All she had left to do planning-wise was make a trip out to the house the next day and introduce herself to the owners.

Before Robyn knew it, it was 5:30 and time for her to head home. She called Noah from her cellphone and informed him that she was on their way.

A half hour later, Robyn pulled into Noah’s driveway and frowned when she saw the bright red sports car parked in front of his garage. Wondering who it belonged to, she let herself in and found Noah talking to Sutter in the kitchen.

“Hey,” she greeted from the archway, making her presence known.

“Hey yourself,” Noah said as he crossed the room to embrace her, lightly kissing her cheek. “We were just talking about you.”

“Oh?” Robyn said, looking back and fourth between the two men.

“Yeah,” Sutter piped in, gesturing around the room. “I love what you did with the place.”

“Thanks,” Robyn said as she walked to the fridge and poured herself a glass of iced tea.

“When do you think you’ll be available to take a look at my parents’ place?” Sutter joked. “It must be at least two decades overdue for a makeover.”

“Tomorrow would be good for me,” Robyn replied, taking his words at face value. “I start supervising another project on Wednesday, so I won't have much free time after that.”

“Great. Tomorrow, then?” Sutter asked. Now he was being serious.

“Sure. I have an appointment in the morning, but I'm free anytime after noon.”

“Noon works for me,” Sutter said as he started to exit the kitchen. “I’ll let you and Noah get your evening started. He can him give you directions out to my place.”

Noah waited until he heard the front door click shut before setting his sights back on Robyn. “Looks like you have yourself another client,” he said, taking her in his arms.

“Well before I go scheduling myself into a corner, I wanted to let you know that I can take a few weeks off after I finish up this project I’m starting tomorrow,” Robyn informed him.

“Really? Does that mean you can come see me in Europe?” Noah asked, his face lighting up.

Robyn nodded. “It sure does. We just have to nail down some dates tonight so that I can put in an official vacation request at work.”

“Sounds good. I can then get my assistant Audrey to make all the arrangements for you. You don’t know how happy I am that you’ll be able to join me.”

“Just as happy as I am, I’d imagine,” Robyn said, her giddy smile mirroring his own.

Noah glanced at his watch and said, “you should get ready. We have a dinner reservation for seven.”

“Well I hope it’s casual, because I don’t have anything here to wear.”

“All taken care of. Everything you’ll need is in my closet,” Noah said, lightly slapping her behind and urging her to go upstairs.

Robyn raised an eyebrow at him before turning to ascend the master stairwell.

“I hope you like it!” Noah yelled up after her. He was anxious to see her in the dress he had purchased for her. It was a hunter green satin number that he knew right away would look fabulous on her.
r />   Robyn walked into Noah’s closet and her breath caught in her throat when she saw the long flowing dress. She had always dreamed of wearing a dress like this, but she never thought she'd have any reason to. She quickly got dressed and threw her hair back, deciding she was ready to go. She didn’t have a clue what Noah had planned for the evening, but she now knew without any doubt that it was something special.

Noah got changed into a suit in the downstairs bathroom. He waited at the bottom of the stairwell for Robyn to emerge from his bedroom and leaned against the wall, watching as she walked out and stopped at the top step. She looked even better than he had imagined she would. He watched her slowly walk down to him and felt a shiver go through his body as he took her hand in his.

“You look beautiful,” he said as he stared at her.

“I feel beautiful,” Robyn said as she admired Noah in his suit. She never could get enough of him. He looked good no matter what he was wearing, but she felt her knees go weak as she stood in front of him in his current state.

“So are you ready to go?” Noah asked, forcing himself out of a trance.

“That depends,” Robyn said. “Are you going to tell me where we are going?”

“No, I'm afraid you’ll just have to wait and see,” Noah said, hoping she would enjoy the evening he had planned.

Noah once again took Robyn’s hand and led her out the front door. She was shocked when she saw a stretch limousine waiting for them. The driver opened the door and Noah helped Robyn hold her dress as she entered.

“Wow. You really did go all out, didn't you?” Robyn commented.

Noah nodded. “I want this to be a night you'll never forget,” he said, making himself comfortable and putting his arm around her shoulder.

“Well I think it's safe to say you’re succeeding,” Robyn said as she leaned her head against his shoulder and settled in for the ride.

They engaged in light conversation on the way to their final destination. Robyn told Noah about her day at work and they briefly discussed her upcoming trip to Europe to visit him.

After an hour-long drive, the limousine finally stopped in front of a place called Rosa’s. Robyn had heard of the exquisite restaurant before, but she had never been there herself. All she knew was that it was never a place she could afford to eat at.

The limousine door opened and Noah stepped out. He took Robyn’s hand and helped her step out of the vehicle.

“Noah, you really didn’t have to do this,” Robyn informed him.

“I know I didn’t have to. I wanted to,” Noah said as he held the door open for her.

A gentleman dressed in a tuxedo greeted them at the door and Noah said, “I have a reservation for McCreary.”

“Of course, Mr. McCreary. Please follow me,” the man said.

Robyn followed Noah inside and became confused as they walked through the restaurant and were led through another door that led into a smaller room.

“Here’s the private dining room as you requested,” the man said to Noah as he stood off to the side.

“Thank you,” Noah said as he handed him a tip.

Robyn looked around the beautifully decorated room and was beside herself. She had never seen anything so beautiful in her life. She released her hold on Noah’s hand and descended the steps. She walked towards the open French doors that led to what looked like a balcony and gasped at the view.

Noah followed Robyn out and stopped right behind her, resting his hands on her shoulders as she continued to look around. Finally, she turned around and quickly caught the tear that was running down her cheek.

Robyn looked up at Noah, and at that moment she knew she was in love. “No one has ever done anything like this for me before,” she whispered.

Noah grinned. “I told you I wanted it to be a night to remember.”

“Yes, but you could have ordered in pizza and and I would have remembered it just the same.”

“I know you would have, but I wanted to do something special for you,” Noah insisted. “I wanted to impress you.”

“Impressed doesn’t even begin to explain how I am feeling, Noah. I don’t know what to say.”

“You don’t need to say anything. Your reaction says it all.”

Another gentleman in a tuxedo interrupted them. “Sorry for the intrusion, Mr. McCreary,” he greeted. “I just wanted to inform you that I'll be your waiter for the evening. Is there anything I can get the two of you?”

Noah looked at Robyn. She nodded and said, “I think we’re fine for now, thanks.”

A few minutes after the waiter had disappeared, Robyn could hear music start playing. She looked at Noah and said, “would you like to dance?”

Robyn took hold of his outstretched hand and let him lead her back into the dining room area. They stopped and Noah took her in his arms. She looked up at him as they danced, and she wished she could read all the emotion in his mesmerizing green eyes. Finally, she came right out and asked, “what is it?”

Noah didn’t answer with words. Instead he simply dropped his head and captured her lips with his own. She may have been imagining things, but she felt something different in the kiss.

Noah pulled his lips from Robyn’s after a short while and looked her straight in the eyes as he said, “Robyn, be honest – do you think things are moving too quickly between us?”

Robyn tried to read Noah’s expression again, but she was unsuccessful. She felt fearful as he asked her the question and she quickly looked away from him. Noah must have sensed this, because he quickly added, “I'm not saying I do. I'm just wondering about you.”

Robyn looked back at him again, and just like that her fear subsided. “No, Noah,” she finally answered. “I don’t.”

Noah breathed a sigh of relief. “I’m glad to hear that, because I don’t want to scare you with what I’m about to say next...”

  Robyn frowned. “What is it?”

Noah lowered his lips to her neck and lightly kissed her there. Then he moved them to her ear and whispered, “I love you.” Robyn felt tears sting her eyes and let her head drop to rest against his firm chest. Noah’s arms tightened around her, and he asked, “are you okay?”

Robyn lifted her chin to look at him again and nodded. “I love you too,” she proclaimed, watching as a smile slowly unfurled across his lips. “Seriously, Noah. Do you have any idea how happy you’ve made me?”

“Oh, I think I have some idea,” Noah responded with a grin, once again covering her mouth with his own.

A short while later, they ordered dinner and sat down to have a glass of wine. Noah talked about all of his favorite places in Europe and all the things he wanted to take Robyn to see. They had come to the conclusion that she would be joining him in Paris, London, and Italy – three of his favorite places on earth – and Robyn promised that she would make sure to take those specific weeks off at work.

Just like that, their future together was set into motion.

  Chapter 14

Noah and Robyn decided to go back to Robyn’s place for the night since it was already late and it was a lot closer than Noah’s. Plus, Robyn needed a change of clothes for work the next day, and she didn’t have anything suitable at Noah’s.

When they made it back, Noah helped Robyn out of her dress and made slow and passionate love to her. He desperately wanted to show her how much he loved her, and in that moment he could think of no better way.

The next morning, Robyn had to force herself to get out of bed. She was sleeping so soundly in Noah’s arms when her phone alarm went off. Robyn dragged herself into the shower to try and wake herself up. She turned on the hot water and put her head back, letting it flow down her body.

Seconds later, Robyn was startled when she felt a hand on her body. She jumped and started laughing when she saw Noah peaking in at her from around the shower curtain, and she watched his hand slowly make its way up her body. “Morning,” she said as she stopped his hand
from going any lower. If she let him get her all worked up, there was no way she'd be able to function at work.

“Morning beautiful,” Noah said as he continued to take in her naked form.

“You didn’t have to get up so early,” Robyn called out as Noah disappeared around the curtain. “You could have slept in.”

“Well someone has to get you to work. I called my brother last night and he dropped off my truck,” Noah said. After a short pause, he added, “you don’t mind if I go pee while you’re in the shower, do you?”

“Only if I get to peek,” Robyn joked.

“Oh, you can do more than peek,” Noah joked in return. “You can even come and play if you like.”
