I lean forward. “If you’re a woman,” I say softly, “think of what this man did to me. Think of how casually he suggested that I record a sex tape. Just for ratings. Just for shares and likes and retweets. Calkins claims to run a female-friendly porn studio.” I look at the camera. “After what he did yesterday, can you believe him?”

“If you’re listening, Calkins, here’s what I have to say to you.” I lift my chin up, hold my head high, and cross my fingers that my gamble will pay off. “If you sue Lucas,” I say clearly, “then everyone will see your attempt as one more desperate effort to stay in the spotlight.”

  I stop recording.

If enough people watch my video, and if enough people agree with me that Calkins deserves what he got, I’m hoping that the man will see sense. Not all publicity is good publicity, especially if Calkins wants women to buy his porn videos.

With shaking fingers, I hit upload.

  Lucas:

James, Patrick and Annabelle Jobin are in the backyard. I open the patio doors and join them. “What’s the matter?”

Patrick’s grinning widely from ear to ear. James looks slightly dazed. Annabelle’s wearing sunglasses, so I can’t read her expression.

“Annabelle Jobin,” James says, his voice strained, “owns the Pleasure Palace.”

“What?” I gape at the three of them.

Annabelle takes off her sunglasses and cracks a smile. “I’m AJ,” she says. “Sorry for the cloak-and-dagger stuff. My dad would like to pretend that his daughter doesn’t sell sex toys on the Internet, and I keep it pretty quiet.”

We take seats around the picnic table.

“Dad said that Patrick’s son had an Internet show that I should watch,” Annabelle continues, “so I checked it out, and I really liked it. That’s why we set up the first deal with you.”

Pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

“My sales team kept telling me we should sponsor your show,” she says. “Your demographics are perfect. Your audience is evenly split between women and men. You kill in the 25-45 age range, and they’re the segment that spends money on toys.”

“I sense a but in this story,” James interjects.

Annabelle nods. “But I heard rumors that you were doing a deal with Sin on Demand.” She frowns. “I don’t like Spencer Calkins,” she says. “He’s a sleazeball. I didn’t want to do business with someone who’d work with him.”

Patrick grins widely, his knees bouncing with excitement. “Then we saw the show last night.”

Annabelle chuckles. “That was one hell of a show. I don’t condone violence, of course,” she says with a wink, “but Calkins had it coming. If you’re still looking for sponsors, I’d love to work with Dirty Talk.”

“Seriously?” I feel a weight lift off my chest. I still have to figure out how to keep Calkins from suing me, but Annabelle’s words give me hope.

“Seriously.” She inclines her head to us. “Perhaps we should go inside to hammer out the details? Unlike Calkins,” she adds maliciously, “My team knows how to get contracts done quickly.”

Just then, my phone vibrates. James’ phone beeps and Annabelle’s phone lights up in a smartphone symphony. I glance down at my screen to find a notification waiting for me.

A new video has been uploaded to the Dirty Talk channel.

“What the hell?” I swear. “How?”

Understanding dawns on James’ face. “The only computer that doesn’t need a password to log on is upstairs,” he says.

“Cassie.” Sweetie, what have you done?

  Cassie:

They’re looking at me with so much love in their eyes that I’m convinced I’m going to burst from the sheer weight of the moment. “Cassie,” James says quietly, “you didn’t have to do that.”

  “I wanted to.”

Lucas holds my hands in his. “I love you,” he says, his voice thick with emotion. “You’re brave and kind and beautiful, and I absolutely adore you.”

James’ finger brushes the back of my neck. “And clever,” he adds. “We watched your video. You hit the nail on the head. Calkins is going to want this controversy to blow over. I’m pretty sure that we’ll never hear from him again.”

  I hope that’s true.

“And there’s more good news.” His face relaxes into a smile. “Remember the box of sex toys you spent an evening exploring?”

My cheeks flush. That night was hot. Though, let’s be honest. Every night I spend with Lucas and James is pretty damn memorable.

“You know we said we worked with someone called AJ?”

“The person that did a deal with you through email?” My forehead furrows as I try to recall their words. Given how thoroughly I was being distracted by them, I’m surprised I can remember any of our conversation.

“Yup.” Lucas nods. “We just found out that we’ve been working with Annabelle Jobin.”

  I blink in confusion. “Patrick’s friend’s daughter?”

James grins. “I know, it’s crazy. She owns the Pleasure Palace. She wants to sponsor us.” He takes a deep breath. “I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel,” he admits. “I can finally stop and think about the future.” He gives me a serious look. “Will you be part of our future, Cassie?” he asks me. “I don’t want our relationship to be a temporary thing. I want the long-haul. You, Lucas, and me.”

My stomach churns and my throat is tight, but this time, the emotion I’m feeling isn’t panic. It’s happiness. Pure, unadulterated happiness. “I want that too,” I reply happily, throwing my arms around them.

“Let’s go downstairs,” Lucas suggests, “sign the contract with Annabelle, get Patrick settled in, and after that…” His voice trails off, and his eyes run over my body. When he speaks next, his words send a jolt of pure lust to my core. “Well, after we do all that, we celebrate.”

There were a lot of toys in that box that I didn’t get to play with. Maybe we can do that. Or maybe James and Lucas will surprise me with something else. I’m ready for anything. As long as I’m with Lucas and James, I know my life is going to be pretty damn good.

  Epilogue

  Cassie:

  Six months later…

It’s funny how everything changes with the passage of time.

Six months ago, we’d been on the brink of despair. Lucas had punched Spencer Calkins, the guys had been facing financial ruin, and things had looked bleak and dark.

  Not anymore.

Things didn’t change overnight, of course. After all, we didn’t win a lottery ticket. But when Annabelle sponsored Dirty Talk for six months, it gave James and Lucas some relief from the crushing medical bills. It gave them hope.

Then there was the video I’d made. When I’d taped it, my only goal had been to prevent Calkins from suing Dirty Talk. It turns out it did far more. As news spread of the way Calkins had ambushed James and Lucas, women started coming out of the woodwork. It turns out Calkins had used his position as a porn producer to sexually harass, and in some cases, assault women who appeared in his movies.

As the allegations grew, Calkins tried to contain them, but there were too many witnesses. Calkins was arrested.

His trial is next year, but even if he manages to get off, the damage is done. Nobody is buying his women-friendly persona anymore. Sales of his movies have plummeted, and his company just declared bankruptcy.

Call me petty—I don’t care. I’m thrilled about Calkins’ fall from grace.

James and Lucas kept asking me to move in with them. I resisted at the start, not wanting to rush into anything, but then my sister Kelli got married and moved back to New Summit. She needed a place to live, and honestly, I was already spending most of my time at the guys’ house. At the end of October, we made it official. Kelli moved into my house, and Ms. Meow and I moved in with James, Lucas, and Patrick.

I hear the sound of a dog barking, then Mollie rushes into the kitchen, her tail wagging enthusiastically, Lucas an
d James a half-step behind her. “Damn dog,” Lucas grumbles. “She never listens to me.”

Please. Lucas adores Mollie. We all do. She’s the newest addition to our household. Technically, she’s Patrick’s puppy, though we’ve all fallen in love with her. Right now, she’s giving me a hopeful look, so I grab a treat from the jar on top of the refrigerator and feed it to her. “How was the walk?” I ask James.

“Cold,” he replies, sitting down at the kitchen table and stripping off his gloves. He gives me a wicked look. “Come sit on my lap and warm me up, Cass.”

For the last week, we’ve been pushing hard trying to get everything completed. We’ve painted, hung up pictures, installed lighting, put down rugs on the floors—it’s been non-stop. As a result, there’s been no time for sex.

My blood heats. “I have to cook,” I say weakly, trying to resist. We’re having everyone over this evening for a housewarming party. Cheese needs to be sliced. Dip needs to be made. Asparagus stalks need to be wrapped with prosciutto.

“It’s a potluck,” Lucas replies. “We have plenty of booze. We’ve got this covered.” He beckons me over. “Come on, Cass. Take a break. We just got a new box from the Pleasure Palace. Don’t you want to see what’s in it?”

Damn them. They know exactly what to say to get me going. “Fine,” I say, undoing my apron and tossing it on the back of a chair. “But if people go hungry, it’ll be your fault.”

James shuts the door of the master bedroom that makes up the entire third floor of the house and looks at me. “All week, we’ve been working on the house,” he says, “instead of making love to you, Cassie.”

“It was awful,” I tell them solemnly, though the laughter in my voice gives me away.

“Yes,” Lucas agrees. “It was. I missed you, Cassie. I missed running my hands up your soft curves. I missed the way you taste, the way you moan out my name. I’ve waited seven long days, Cassie. I want to feel your pussy clench around me.”

Whoa. It’s cold and miserable outside, but the temperature in this room just rose a hundred degrees. It is such a turn-on when James and Lucas get in a dark, dominant mood.

James stalks toward me. “I’m going to rip off your shirt, Cassie,” he says, promise in his voice.

My pulse speeds up as his fingers yank the fabric. Buttons fly everywhere. “Take off your bra,” he breathes into my ear, and I reach behind my back and unfasten the clasp.

Lucas moves behind me, tugging at my ruined shirt and my bra, tossing the clothing across the room. His body presses against mine, and I lean back into him, feeling his heat against my skin. Lust rages through my bloodstream like wildfire, and I move my hands behind my back, groping for Lucas’ hard dick.

“Not yet, Cassie,” he says, grabbing my wrists in his hands.

“Please,” I moan, my voice breathless. “Please don’t make me wait.”

James moves close to me, his eyes on me, intent and focused. “Get on your knees,” he orders.

I sink to the floor, my eyes level with his impressive bulge. My fingers grope for his belt, and I undo it and unzip his jeans. His cock jumps out, and I close my fingers around the base and stick my tongue out, swirling it around his head.

“Oh yes, baby,” James groans, threading his fingers through my hair. “Just like that.”

My pussy clenches when I hear the raw need in his voice.

Behind me, Lucas sinks to his knees. He wraps his arms around me, his fingers finding my nipples. He pinches them and pulls them, causing me to whimper into James’ cock as sensation thrums through me. His nails rake down my back and goosebumps rise on my skin.

  I’m dripping wet.

James pulls his cock free from my mouth and lifts me onto my feet. “Take off your skirt and your panties, Cassie,” he orders.

“And get on the bed,” Lucas grinds out. “I want to taste you.”

I strip and climb on the king-size bed, positioning myself on my hands and knees. I reach for James’ cock, licking the underside of his shaft and taking his head in my mouth. Gripping his hips, I pull him into me, taking him as deep as I can.

Lucas moves behind me. “Spread your legs wide,” he says, sliding two fingers into my pussy. “I’ve missed this.” He spanks my ass.

  Ooh. That was nice.

James chuckles. “Do that again, Lucas,” he suggests. “I think Cassie likes being spanked.”

Lucas laughs and swats me again. He parts my folds and hones in on my clitoris, stroking me just the way I like it, with just the right amount of pressure, at exactly the right spot…

Whimpering, I push back against Lucas’ fingers. “Fuck me,” I moan into James’ cock.

Lucas chuckles darkly and rubs harder on my clitoris. A shiver wracks my body. I’m not going to last. My orgasm is right there, so close, just within reach…

I ache. My body throbs with need. Lucas removes his fingers from my pussy. Before I can protest, his fingers grip my hips, and he thrusts into me, pushing me deeper on James’ cock.

“Fuck yes,” I hiss. He’s so deep. Each stroke slams into me, and thought unravels. I’m mindless with pleasure. My body trembles and quivers and I can’t hold my orgasm back, not anymore.

I come hard, my body shaking with desire. Pleasure washes over me in waves, and I bob my head on James’ cock, fast and frantic. My muscles quiver and clench, and aftershocks travel through my body.

James grunts, his fingers twining in my hair. He comes in my throat, and I swallow every drop. Lucas doesn’t ease up. His thrusts pick up in frequency, and then he goes over the edge too.

“Wow,” I gasp when my breathing evens. “Wow.” I cuddle between their warm bodies. “Let’s do that again.”

James chuckles. “Let’s,” he says. “But you said something about a party, didn’t you?”

I sit upright. “Damn it; I totally forgot.” I get to my feet and try to find my shirt, only to realize that it’s ripped. Shaking my head, I grab one of Lucas’ Metallica t-shirts. “You owe me a replacement shirt,” I tell James.

  “Totally worth it.”

Back in the kitchen, I turn to James. “Patrick’s not at home, is he?”

James frowns. “Isn’t he in his apartment?”

It’s not exactly an apartment. James and Lucas’ house is a brick home with a large modern addition in the back. Patrick lives there. It gives him more privacy, and I think he prefers the independence.

James’ father is making unbelievable progress. His limp is almost totally gone, and he can even move his right arm. Last week, when my car wouldn’t start, he tinkered with the engine and got it going. He’s unlikely to work as a mechanic again, but as long as he can fiddle with cars, he seems content.

Besides, Mollie’s a great mood improver. It’s impossible to be in a bad mood around the happy, friendly puppy. Only Ms. Meow isn’t completely in love with the chocolate lab.

“I think he’s at Mrs. Zhang’s,” Lucas replies, a grin on his face. “That’s the third time this week. I’m sensing a pattern here.”

James shakes his head. “It is so weird to be talking about my father’s dating life,” he says ruefully. “I’d much rather just pretend he’s celibate.”

  I snort. “Double standard much?”

I admit, when I first moved in, I was nervous about how Patrick was going to react, but I quickly realized it wasn’t a problem. James’ dad is great, and he doesn’t have a single judgmental bone in his body. “My boys host a show called Dirty Talk, Cassie,” he said to me once, his voice dry. “In which they talk about sex in graphic detail. After that, there’s nothing James and Lucas can do to shock me.”

Three hours later, the party is in full swing. The living area is crowded with people. Annabelle is chatting with Becky and Mia. Her father Thomas is laughing at something Patrick is saying. Mrs. Zhang is talking to Sophia, Landon’s younger sister. Knowing Sophia’s love for cooking, I dare say that the two of them are swapping recipes.

  Looking around, the only person
I don’t see is Nina, which is weird, because Nina’s usually very punctual. Lucas and James are talking to Matthew Steadman, and I make my way toward them. “Hey Matthew,” I greet the construction supervisor cordially. “How’ve you been?”

“Tired,” he replies. “Still, we put up the last sheets of drywall last week. We’re done.”

Matthew’s talking about the subdivision his crew has been building on the outskirts of town. “Are people moving in already?” I ask him curiously.

“Just the guys who own it,” he replies. “Friends of Nina’s.”

“Nina?” Maggie, who’s standing behind us, overhears and turns around, a puzzled expression on her face. “My mom and I were there a week ago looking at one of the houses, and we saw Nina there, but she said she was just scoping out the place.”

Matthew shakes his head. “No,” he says, “She knows Scott and Zane. I’d bet my last dollar on it.”

How very mysterious. Who are Scott and Zane, and why is Nina hiding that she knows them?

Once the party is over, James, Lucas and I unanimously decide to leave the clean-up until the next day. “Do you know what’s going on with Nina?” I ask them as we get ready for bed.

Lucas grins. “You want to know who Scott and Zane are, don’t you?” he teases me.

“Wait, you know?” My voice rises in indignation. “Who are they? Is Nina dating one of them?” A thought occurs to me. “Or both of them?”

“Sorry, Cassie.” James’ eyes twinkle with amusement. “We’re sworn to secrecy. If you want to know what’s going on with Nina, you should ask her. Not us.”

Oh trust me, I intend to. “I’m your girlfriend,” I point out with a pout. “Shouldn’t you tell me everything?”

Lucas chuckles. “About that,” he says. “There’s something we have for you. Come here for a second.”

His tone is serious. “Is everything okay?”

“Everything is better than okay,” James reassures me.
