“Do you enjoy this?” he whispered.
She nodded as the surge of heat passed through her entire body and she came once more. “Yes.” Daniella summoned all of her power and all of her strength and she pulled away from him. Instead, she lay on the bed and beckoned him toward her. Tris smiled, and she saw the bliss in his eyes and the contentment. She was glad that there was peace; he came to her, took her leg, and began kissing the inside of her thigh. He bit her here and there until he worked up her thigh. Each bite brought her closer to ecstasy. Tris buried his head between her legs and before she could even ride the force of the orgasm that shook her, he plunged his tongue into her pussy. It forced her back off the bed. She wrapped her fingers within the black spread.
Light exploded behind her eyes. It was too much for her to take. “Tris, enough!”
He looked up, and there was evil inside of his gaze. He flicked his tongue over her clit one more time before he rose up and plunged his cock deep inside of her. Once he was inside of her, it felt as though they had come home and all the problems that they had to work out between them were falling away. She tightened her legs around him and drew him closer to her. He lifted her up, and she slid her fingers over the hard bumps on his shoulders where his wings came out of his back. Once she touched them, he sucked in a breath and gripped her shoulders. He thrust into her again and she was right there along with him, riding his cock. She trailed her fingers over the juncture of his wings.
“Oh God!” Tris nibbled along her collarbone and bit down on her shoulder. His hands also worked along her shoulder blades, and his fingers slid over another part of her that she had not felt before. The shock of pleasure that rode her spine nearly whited out her vision, and she pressed close to him. She understood now what Tris felt when she touched him there. Combined with the sheer bliss that filled her, she felt the world fall down around her. He rubbed her wing buds once more, and she held him closer and came.
Tris followed a moment later and groaned. He held on to her for a long while. His heart raced, and she could feel it thumping against her chest. He breathed heavily and his body was warm against her, heating her body as well. She kissed the side of his throat and felt the urge to drink from him, but repressed it. Daniella only wanted to hold him close and not let it go.
“Being this close to you, it gives me hope.”
“Hope for what?” she asked.
“For the forgiveness that I pray I can obtain from you for everything that I did. To you and to everyone. All these years and so much rage.”
She pulled back and swept the hair from his face. “You have my forgiveness. I know this all isn’t easy for you. But I don’t want you to ever forget that I love you. I don’t want to have to see your eyes black with darkness and doubt. Promise me that.”
He nodded. “I promise.”
Daniella saw the light in his eyes and believed him. She kissed him lightly and hugged him before she unwound from his arms and enjoyed the fulfilled feeling. But it was more than that, because she had never felt as complete. She sighed, got out of bed, and went into the bathroom. Staring at herself in the mirror, she noticed the glow around her body. Her wings were not as large as Tris’s, but they were substantial. They were varying shades of purple and deep blue that reminded her of twilight, marking for her a vampire, she figured. She was still getting used to the weight, and she wondered what other abilities had been awakened in her.
Tris came behind her, slipped his arms around her waist, and pulled her to him. He kissed her neck and stretched out his wings to wrap them around her. She felt their warmth and the protection that he offered. For the first time in her life, she felt like she belonged and was completely at ease.
“You are so beautiful,” he whispered in her ear. “A true angel.”
She snorted. “You didn’t think that the other day.”
“I was a fool then. How many times do you want me to apologize to you?”
“If your apology is like the one you just gave me, every day. Maybe several times a day.”
He smiled, and it seemed he was something more of his old self. “I can do that. You have me now, forever, unless that succubus part of you lures someone else in.”
Daniella shook her head. “I don’t think she’ll come back. I’m complete, if that makes sense. I can feel it.” As she said it, she knew it was true.
“Good; I don’t want to have competition with a leprechaun or something.”
“I’m not really into chasing rainbows and little men dressed in green. I like mine tall, obstinate, and a pain in my ass.”
“I guess I fit the bill, then.”
“Yes. To the T.” She turned in his arms and smiled. “At least I know one thing for certain.”
“What’s that?” Tris asked.
“You don’t have to keep me in the basement anymore.”
“Right. ‘Cause you’re not smoking and bursting into flames now that your angelic side is out. Of course we can find some other way for you to start smoking, if that’s what you want.”
“You don’t need to worry about that, because I’m already smokin’.” She trailed her finger down the center of his chest.
He chuckled. “Yes, you are.”
“I’m going to be around for a very long time.” Daniella cut him off from what he was going to say. Being in his arms was all she wanted. It was all she needed. Tris would be there for her, she knew that, and whatever the future held, she was not afraid to face it.
