Tika Page 9

by Guy Lilburne

Jaya was sentenced to two years for the conspiracy, but was released after serving just half of that, when Tika’s baby was just four months old. Tika and Jaya got married a few months later and they were happy. Jaya was a good husband and a good father. The company went from strength to strength and Jaya worked hard to make up for all the wrong he had done.

Simon never heard from Tika again, but he thought about her sometimes. He never found whatever it was that he was looking for. He wasn’t even sure what it was that he had come to Thailand to find, but he was happy enough looking for it amongst the whores who worked the bars and, at least, the alcohol killed the pain.
