Amelia didn’t know what she expected from the spaceport, but she was rather surprised by how much it resembled Earth’s main port. The wide halls and corridors, the gleaming polished stone and metal all reminded Amelia of the primary hub located off the north-eastern American super metropolis.
Galtan had left Amelia at the table with the prince and had gone upstairs; he disappeared for a noticeable amount of time and when he returned, her lover had had bags tossed over his shoulder and Herman under his arm. Amelia had stared at Galtan confused; however, he spoke to the prince before she could question what was occurring.
“I assume that there is a vessel ready if those documents are inked and sealed?”
“That is correct. There is a small single-pilot ship available. Fuelled. Stocked. Cleared to leave the atmosphere. I made sure that there was commentary included justifying the trip with regards to the recent territorial invasion.” The prince stood. “Do you have somewhere I can change? I will go to the port with you and force security.”
“Wait!” Amelia interrupted. “What is going on? As I am very much at the center of these issues, I deserve to know.”
“I am arranging for the Lord Commander to get you off Amirak-Ren.” The prince stood as he answered.
“Why?” Why is he helping Galtan? I don’t want Galtan to be caught in a trap…
“Do you want to die?” The prince asked before Galtan could speak.
“No, why are you helping him?”
“One, I owe Galtan. Secondly, he is not alone in his distaste for the way things are here.” The man’s nonchalant shrug might have hidden the extent of his distaste, if the loathing hadn’t shown clearly on the man’s face.
“What will happen to Galtan?” Amelia was quite good an injecting her questions before Galtan could cut off the conversation. Being a linguist had its skills – especially when paired with a business mind.
“There are likely to be those who will push for his punishment. Unfortunately for them, they cannot beat him.”
“But he would forever have adversaries here?”
“Undoubtedly, but that is no different than I have always faced.” Galtan finally managed to get his opinion into the exchange. Yet, Amelia completely ignored the man she had come to care deeply for – she didn’t want excuses, she wanted facts.
“It will be different this time, wont it.”
“Yes,” if anything, Amelia could say that she liked the prince for his brutal honesty.
“Not necessarily,” Galtan tried to defend his coming position with the men of the planet of his birth.
“Galtan, yes, it will.” When the prince used Galtan’s name in addressing him, Galtan sighed, realizing the futility of the argument. Amelia suspected that the reality was that the prince would not have been there, in the kitchen that morning if it wasn’t a desperate situation.
“I will worry about that when the time comes.” Galtan finally replied; he then turned and spoke individually to Amelia, “I have to get you off Amirak-Ren.”
That had been some hours ago. The prince had gone into a generally unused chamber and changed out of the messenger’s uniform, into a distinctly richly made cloak, belted tunic, and leggings all in shades of metallic bronze. The longest part of their journey had been from the center of the sprawling crystal city to the outskirts and the bustling spaceport.
They pushed through security. It seemed that there were plenty of men, particularly those that worked in the spaceport that had heard about the incident at Pavathi the day before, but none dared to argue with either man standing beside her. Galtan strode briskly on Amelia’s left side; the prince was on her right, together they created an impenetrable bubble of protection around Amelia. The various workers bowed and scraped to the prince’s demands as they bulled through the joined buildings; everything was prepared when they finally reached a small vessel, humming at its dock, prepped and primed for take-off. The prince stood by as they boarded and enacted his power, approving Galtan’s launch over the squad of warriors sent to stop their departure. Cleared, Galtan slammed the ship into an ascent; Amelia clutched the arms of her chair as they raced over the sand and glittering stone littered planet, before racing beyond the atmosphere.
For the first time in weeks, not in the immediate aftermath of a passionate coupling, Amelia truly relaxed. He kept his promise, the intent he made clear that first day. He is taking me home.
*
The instant the ship hit speeds faster than light, as they raced through space; Galtan put the ship on autopilot and turned toward Amiilya. She was asleep. As he stared at her beautiful face Galtan felt something inside of him break, the dam that held back compassion and emotion was fractured for the first time in his life, since his father’s mate had been destroyed.
He knew he had to let her go, but everything inside of him protested, screamed out that the human female he had shielded from the cruelties of those of his race, was in fact his mate. She was the one force in the universe that could make him feel anything more than duty.
Amiilya made Galtan happy. A simple word, but so all-encompassing that it was a true description of what the woman did to him. Torn, Galtan leaned back in his own chair, before the controls of the ship, and let his eyes close and his mind process his need not just for Amiilya’s body, but for everything that made her who she was.
*
The abrupt downshift of the ship’s speed woke her; Amelia blinked her eyes open and found a familiar ball of blue and green, with a spattering of brown, hovering in the inky blackness of space.
Earth. Galtan held the ship steady within orbit of Amelia’s home world and surveyed a planet, Amelia suspected he had never surveyed before that moment.
“The color is interesting,” Galtan commented softly. As Amelia stretched and sat up to stare at the world she considered home; now that she was awake, Herman jumped from the floor where he had apparently been waiting into her lap. Amelia stroked the rapidly growing beast’s sleeking fur.
“It’s a rich world; there are forests of trees and oceans of water. The planet was nearly decimated, by human arrogance, and while it has taken many, many years – hundreds – it is finally healthy again. There is population control in that certain industries are more focused on an interplanetary front so population density has been adjusted as have building standards.” Amelia pointed at a familiar continental shape, “That whole space is known as the American superplex. It is comprised of seven giant cities now, though there was a time when there were thousands of separate, independent communities. But as the metropolises expanded the Forestry Rejuvenation Commission mandated the maintenance and even installation of massive wooded zones and undeveloped plains. Much of the planet has become a giant well-planned park.”
“You live on the main planet?” Galtan asked, “Not one of the outposts?”
“Correct.” Amelia stared at Galtan as he surveyed the planet of her birth and considered a possibility. “You could stay,” she suggested softly. Apparently the suggestion was shocking to Galtan; he met her gaze, his mouth agape.
“Stay?”
“You can’t go back.” Amelia pleaded. She had known that Galtan would pay dearly for protecting her, when the prince had been forced to declare his identity to keep the rushing squadron of warriors, at the spaceport, at bay.
“Amelia, Alahi¸ my spirit. I don’t want to be a constant memory of a bad time in your life. I care about you and your happiness. As much as that is against my rearing and society I was raised in, I care.” Before he could go on, Amelia interrupted.
“A few weeks, during which you relentlessly protected me. I don’t care about how we have come to know one another, I only care that you stay. I love you; I have fallen in love with you. With your strength; with your honor; with your commitment; I have fallen in love with you. Please don’t make me face my day and nights without you.” Amelia took a breath, completely unaware that she now stood before him – Herman stared at the both of them from the chair she had been occupying, “I
think you want me too, but have been consumed by a world that tells you, you can’t. Take the chance, stay with me. Stay with me, Galtan…please.”

Before Galtan could respond, a buzzing crackle echoed through the communications system.
“Your ship is not cleared for intersystem travel – identify.” At the demand, Galtan hit the button to open responding transmission and stood. He wrapped his arms around Amiilya, cuddled her against his chest, and then answered the Earthling communication.
“Yes, this is Galtan of Aruthga’ly, aboard an Amirak-Renian personal transporter. My mate and I are the only sentients on the ship. My mate is Amiilya Glass of Earth.” He smiled gently down at the shocked look on the beautiful face, belonging to the woman he had just claimed, officially.
“Glass? Did you just say Amiilya Glass of Earth?”
*
Amelia set her fingertips over Galtan’s lips and answered the space official herself.
“Yes, this is Amelia Glass – linguist for the Galactic Exploration Federation. I was kidnapped on my way to Umbriel.”
“Ms. Glass, do you need lodging form the GEF in Soho?” The random question would sound like gibberish to a person not born of Earth, but it was the safety question – as formatted to apply to Amelia – used to determine if an Earthling official was being held under duress. Name, organizationally determined code amenity, employer acronym, and place of childhood residence. Everyone traveling off planet had to provide the STC – Space Travel Commission with the personalized question. If answered ‘yes’ the official would know that she was being held under duress, if answered ‘no,’ Amelia was taking responsibility for any visitors to Earth.
“No thank you, my mate and I have accommodations already arranged. May we land?”
“You have been cleared for landing at the Central, New York Prime, Space Hub.”
*
Galtan smirked down at the woman in his arms.
“I have something else to do right now,” he told her simply as he spun Amiilya toward the rear of the small ship.
“Like what,” Amiilya demanded. “We received clearance to land. There is so much to show you.” Amiilya gazed out the window of the ship at the orb floating in front of them.
Galtan waited and knew the instant that Amiilya got the idea, the instant she saw the wide bed extending from the seemingly benign rear wall of the ship. She sighed gustily as she looked up at him.
“Seriously?” Another sigh, “I swear, you’re developing an addiction – we might need to put you in therapy.”
“I am relatively certain that is a common issue with males – no matter their species,” Galtan commented as he dropped her onto the bed. He didn’t bother to undress her in a civilized manner; instead, as eager for her as he had been the first time he had been afforded the pleasures of her body, he shredded the silk hiding her body from his view. At Amiilya’s stunned gaze, Galtan shrugged.
“I didn’t want to wait,” Galtan justified as he stretched his long, nude body over hers.
“Men!” Amiilya groaned in disgust as Galtan sealed his lips over hers. Galtan ran his hands greedily over Amiilya’s silky skin. He found the warming skin of her belly then slid his hand down over the long sloping plane to find her hot, wet flesh between her thighs; the soft patch of hair plush under his palm as he squeezed her hot flesh.
Galtan reached further to find her swollen lips drenched – it seemed despite her teasing protest – Amiilya wanted him as much as he did her. Parting the soft, slick flesh, Galtan found the gem of her pleasure. He allowed his fingers to dance over the tender bundle of nerves causing the lovely human in his arms to let out a deep moan, before he pulled his hand back.
Galtan splayed Amiilya’s thighs wide beneath him, holding them open with his own legs; he made sure to grind his hard shaft against her, stroking the wet slit, enjoying the feel of her body lubricating his shaft with her need. He kept the teasing strokes of his member against the center of her body, rolling his hips relentlessly against her, drawing thick moans of pleasure from her throat. Amiilya’s body started to undulate beneath him, twitching in response to her need.
While her body continued to shift – as sensation quickly built toward a shattering peak – Galtan held his body under control as he stroked his hands up over the rich curves of Amiilya’s body. Her rounded thighs shuddered and tried to close, tried to stop the building pleasure, but couldn’t.
He squeezed her hips and ran his hands along the long curve of her waist. Finally, Galtan slid his hands up to heady, delectable curves of her chest. The heavy weight filled his hands. He tweaked her already hard nipples, rolled each of the firm peaks between thumbs and forefingers, before he arched his body so that he could set his lips to the sensitive, hardened flesh.
Shudders wracked Amiilya’s frame, little mewling sounds slipping past her lips as he carefully held her on the edge of ecstasy.
*
Amelia felt like a cable wound too tight, she was so close to orgasm – so close and Galtan wasn’t even inside her yet; had yet to fill her body, stretch her as if she were on a rack of pleasure and desire.
Please!
“Please what, Amelia?” She hadn’t even realized the pleading thought had actually passed her lips through the panting of her breath. The panting was out of control, not to mention the moaning; the whimpering; the gyration of her hips.
“Please Galtan, I’m so close.”
“How do you want me to help you Amelia?” Galtan’s voice was like dark magic, rumbling in the cool circulated air – Earth loomed at the edge of the vision, large covered in restored forests and purified oceans.
“You, fill me – please, I need you inside of me.” Her alien’s chuckle was wicked against her chest.
Galtan lifted Amelia’s hips from the cot, wrapping his arms around her thighs, and keeping her legs spread he slowly drove the large head of his cock into her sheath; he fitted the head of his cock between the lips of her pussy, right against the tight opening and gradually started to push.
There was no hesitation in Amelia’s body this time; her tight sheath eased its tight grip to accommodate the heavy weight of Galtan’s cock. This time Galtan sat back on his heels and waited for Amelia to try to arch her pussy further onto his cock.
When the desperate thrusts of her body on his only seated him a few short su inside of her – a mere fraction of his length, Galtan pinned her to the bed and continued his slow, relentless plunge into her body.
Wait. Wait. Amelia’s body bowed, arched high, as she suddenly clamped down on the girthy alien flesh she was impaled on. A hot orgasm surged through her, the starbursts behind her eyes blinding her to everything but the pleasure wracked face of the man over her.
…
Amelia and Galtan came back to themselves at the crackle of the communications system. They both realized, way too late, that the line of communications had been open and transmitting during their entire interlude. Any awkward sounding male voice hesitantly filled the chamber of the ship from the console.
“Ms. Glass, you and your mate have been in the orbital ring for a while now…is there an intention to land this evening?”
Mortified, Amelia’s wide eyes bore into Galtan’s, the alien’s response was to laugh. He laughed as Amelia hid her face under a pillow on the bed. He laughed as he wandered, naked, over to he controls. The alien, serious warrior ruler, continued to laugh as he received the landing trajectory.
Who would have thought that a change of scenery would turn him into a loon – I doubt I will ever be able to look at him as dignified again!

PREVIEW OF SEIZED BY THE ALIEN BY AANA CELESTYA
Chapter One
A crash like thunder rent the air and filled it with a shower of ice shards, sparkling in the pale sunlight as they rained down on the frozen tundra. Astrid stared as the glittering cloud fell around the shoulders of the man above her, this creature out of a fairy tale.
He was im
possibly tall, a living sculpture of powerful muscles rippling beneath copper skin, wrapped in a massive silver fur cloak which flared around his broad shoulders as the creature he was riding reared up in fear of the blast that had exploded near its eight clawed feet.
The rider, undeterred, his strong jaw set with concentration, leaned into the animal's motion, standing in his stirrups, his gray eyes steely as he aimed his weapon and loosed a bolt of blue light like a lance at his enemies, which sailed through the air and exploded a few feet away from them, filling the air with a thunderous noise once again and hiding the two of them temporarily behind a cloud of ice and dirt.
He let his weapon drop and turned at once, holding out a strong, calloused hand to Astrid where she lay sprawled and terrified in the snow. Her heart skipped a beat as he reached for her and she leaned away, frightened and overwhelmed. He spoke words in a rolling, fluid tongue Astrid couldn't understand. But, looking at his handsome, angular features, his long dark hair still settling around him, she imagined the only thing they could mean.
"Take my hand if you want to live."
Astrid had always been more in love with the stars than anything on earth. As a little girl, she'd lay in her backyard at night, surrounded by the scent of grass and damp earth, the glow of fireflies flickering in the corners of her vision, and look up at the sky, drunk on the beauty of the universe.
The richness of the night sky over her country home was intoxicating, a panoply of color seen nowhere on earth. The deep blue black that back dropped the stars melted into the bright cerulean and pale ivory of the Milky Way and shifted into the rich, saturated plum of the horizon, and all of it sparkling with a billion, billion stars, blue white and trembling against the dark. Like some careless god had crushed a diamond and scattered its remnants over the heavens. She would reach up then, her hands tiny against the infinite expanse, and imagine herself falling into it. To be surrounded by all that beauty forever was the most incredible thing she could imagine.
