  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

To all my readers—thank you. Thank you for buying what I’ve written and making this my actual job. It’s a dream come true.

Thanks to Megan Mulder for stepping in and taking over this project. I am so, so excited to keep working with you and see where this professional relationship takes us both. Thank you to Jennifer Glover for helping me procure this contract. Big thanks to the entire Montlake team for all your hard work on my behalf, for getting this book out there, and for always taking such good care of me (especially Sally, Elise, Kelsey, Kris, Jessica, and Le). Thank you to my developmental editor, Melody Guy (this is our fourth book together!), for pointing out the things I meant to say and the things I said too much of and to my copyeditor, Sally, and proofreader, Jill. Thank you to Michael Rheder for his cover.

Thank you to Zak Knutson for telling me what really happens on movie sets and for sharing details about a day in the life of a movie star. And thanks to all those real-life people out there who have fallen in love on Twitter and shared their stories—you were a big inspiration!

To my kids—I love you and appreciate that you’ve learned how to let your mom have quiet time to create worlds but also don’t let me get too lost in them.

And, as always, my thanks and adoration to Kevin—you’re my best friend and my soul mate, and every word of love I ever write is because of you.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bestselling author Sariah Wilson has never jumped out of an airplane or climbed Mount Everest, and she is not a former CIA operative. She has, however, been madly, passionately in love with her soul mate and is a fervent believer in happily ever afters—which is why she writes romances like The Royals of Monterra series. After growing up in Southern California as the oldest of nine (yes, nine) children, she graduated from Brigham Young University with a semiuseless degree in history. She currently lives with the aforementioned soul mate and their four children in Utah, along with three tiger barb fish, a cat named Tiger, and a recently departed hamster who is buried in the backyard (and has nothing at all to do with tigers).
