“No,” Des spoke up.
“No?” Cas asked, raising an eyebrow.
“One should definitely be a girl with your curls and dimples.”
“Boy or girl, it doesn’t matter. I know they’re going to be spoiled by the two of you.” Cas leaned her cheek against Lars’s, closing her eyes. “I love you both so much.”
Des got off his lap and Lars followed. They held Cas between them, scenting her, stroking her back and her still-flat belly.
“We love you, too, babe,” Lars whispered, bringing her close for a kiss.
Had it only been months ago that he was a road vagrant with no home and mate to call his own? Lars couldn’t imagine living like that anymore. Now that he’d found a home and family with Des and Cas, he wanted nothing else in the world.
